Well, you've read the notes, the notes mentioned tonight at five/eight, and now it is time for you to post until the tonight at five/eight cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CROESUS!
-
I'm back. ::) Last night, I started to watch the Stratford Festival's The Tempest (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZREpz1ZH6Q), became thoroughly engrossed in it, then about halfway through, I fell asleep. I guess I really needed the sleep. And now, I'm awake.
-
This Stratford Festival version has Martha Henry playing Propsera. Theater Artists Olympia did it back in 2008, also with a Prospera, played by my friend pug. It was set in the future, stylistically very reminiscent of Star Trek...very reminiscent, if you know what I mean. ;)
-
I ran sound for a production at Olympia Little Theatre about six years ago, set in the world of The Wizard of Oz. That was fun. They had a male Prospero, but a couple of other characters were played by women.
-
Well, I'm off to bed (again). Can't wait for tonight's Kritzerland show! I won't miss it! :D
~~~Break Legs Vibes for BK and the Cast!!~~~
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I did not want to get out of bed this morning. I slept poorly, and I feel quite poorly.
-
I may return there ASAP.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Thanks to my unplanned and too-long nap yesterday evening, I got a second wind going which resulted in my staying up too late. That, in turn, resulted in my sleeping in only slightly later than usual this morning, and now I feel like the proverbial truck ran over me.
-
Coffee!
-
And a danish!
-
That last post was but a pathetic cry for help. There is no danish or anything similar in the house.
-
Good morning!
-
One nice thing that happened last night is that the humidity broke and the temperature lowered just enough and a nice breeze picked up, making it absolutely perfect for sleep. The breeze continues, and today’s high is to be around 75. Likewise, more or less, tomorrow. I hope to make good use of this by getting some things done outdoors.
-
Speaking of having a danish propelled me back into my years of living in Hollywood or Beverly
Hills or West L.A. or Redondo Beach, when I would make it a point to prepare in advance for weekend breakfast treats. I’d buy things like the good Van de Kamp’s cinnamon rolls at Hughes Markets or the $1 bag of donuts at Stan’s as they were closing up for the night, and have freshly ground coffee ready to brew in my French press...all to be accompanied by the L.A. Sunday Times (also $1) likewise picked up late Saturday night at one of the newsstands.
I want to go back to that world.
-
Looking forward to the show tonight. It goes without saying that I don’t love the reason for it, but it’s so nice being able to see a modified Kritzerland as opposed to no Kritzerland. :)
-
Good morning, all.
-
I went back to bed for another two hours or so and dreamed of Victor Herbert and Shakespeare's The Tempest. Annabelle and Thatch curled up with me, and I drifted in and out of consciousness.
-
It's very chilly in the apartment this morning, and I may return to bed and stay there most of the day.
-
My last bath was a week ago, so I need to take a sitzbath, shave, and wash my hair. I can't put much water into the tub because I do not want to get the incisions wet. That will be a late afternoon project after the cats are fed.
-
Sometimes I take my suits out of the closet and reverse the way the pants are hanging so they don't have so many CROESUS in them.
-
On my way in a bit to a meeting......we shall see what happens.
It will be nice to see everyone again.....wearing masks, I hope, as I will be.
And of course a nice drive.....while I am out, I will also fill the car with petrol and perhaps buy a lottery ticket.
-
Looking forward to tonight's entertainment.
-
I have had my breakfast and brushed my teeth. I'm going back to bed.
-
Good morning
-
I am home as the aide is there today
-
She was supposed to be there at 11 but arrived at 1130
-
Give her your old watch DR VIXMOM.
-
I shall soon be on my way to the meeting.
-
Page Two.
-
I woke up, watched church and went back to bed. I'm now up again.
-
I'm headed out shortly for a training session to be an usher in this pandemic times.
-
I will have my temperature taken before allowed admittance. I know we're going to do that for the audience.
-
What other thrills lie in store I have no idea.
-
But I am set to usher for two events next weekend. One is a free showing of the movie, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. The other is also free and features a local chamber music group.
-
I think the word free is a way to get people out.
-
Back from my weekly (or so) trip to Shop Rite, where I went to pick up 6 or 7 things and returned with 21 or 22.
-
Gas at BJs and Costco is up from the $1.69 of the past couple of weeks to $1.71.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
I watched PBS and dozed a bit. I finallty decided to go ahead and try a bath. It seemed to go okay, thank God, and I'm grateful to have come through it so well. I'm now waiting to hear from Suad about this week's unemployment.
-
Ours is up largely to anywhere from $1.49 to $1.61.
-
Back from the training session. I don't think the theater is ready. They lacked answers to some very basic questions.
-
But it's still opening Friday, so we'll see.
-
Chas, did the danish arrive?
-
‘Cause I sent Viggo Mortensen over.
-
Bruce, “Three Acts” is beautiful.
I wouldn’t be able to get through it without sobbing.
-
So, it’s a good thing that YOU sang it!
-
Started Enchanted April. The day just felt right for that. I love this movie.
-
Picked up a package and envelope from yesterday. Tried to order from Hugo's but suddenly DoorDash is trying to add a delivery charge and full fees. I'm being told that they're not part of DashPass' free delivery. I told them I've ordered from there five times, including four days ago, and it's always been half fees and free delivery. I told them to cancel my DashPass instantly. It's paid through 6/24 and by then I'll be able to eat in restaurants. I ordered from Stanley's instead.
Dreadful customer service.
-
I went outside while I was still standing straight and finished up some yard work for the compost folks to pick up in the morning. Slowly, some work is getting done. So much left, but it's 95 or so outside right now.
-
Stanley's was excellent - my favorite pasta dish.
Latest Facebook idiocy:
FREE HORSES!!!! 52 thoroughbred horses need homes. Will go to Sugarcreek this Sat. for slaughter. Gentleman died due to COVID-19 and his son wants nothing to do with them. Most broodmares are broke and some are in foal weanling, yearlings, 2 yrs. and 3 yrs. old most are gelded. FREE and papered. Friend of the deceased is trying to find homes.(732) 618 8243 Fairhill, Md.
Please copy and paste this on your status
I would hate to see all these horses put down. PLEASE someone help they are FREE and papered!!!!!!!!
A friend of mine posted this.
The "copy and paste on your status" should be the clue, but isn't, since everyone is doing just that. Five seconds on Google will tell you this story is from 2011 and that the Covid-19 is some jerk trying to make it seem current to get people to share it. Facebook is astonishing and not in a good way.
I do, too!
-
I just checked my mail. Nothing from Kritzerland (sob!)
-
Somehow I ended up with a Japanese children's movie called Jellyfish Eyes. So, I put it on, and it's quite wonderful. Very strange and beautiful. It should be over before the show later.
-
Back from my friends' house. This is the second Sunday in a row. I think we social-distanced well. Luckily, the weather was beautiful--not humid. Nice breeze. Unusual for June.
-
Looking forward to the Krizterland show tonight!
-
I'm up, I'm up... oh, wait...
-
Show time in forty-five minutes.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I went over to the Mediterranean restaurant for take-out. A few customers eating in.
-
I returned to see if DR TCB had some news. I am very pleased you are cancer free. I hope whatever the symptoms that prompted the scan can be treated.
-
Jrand, I meant to thank you for the astrological report the other day. It seems that things are amiss in the Heavens, just as they are on the ground.
-
Continued recovery vibes to DR Elmore. It sounds like you're doing quite well.
-
Yes, good news from TCB! Continued good health to you.
-
But DR TC since you asked..... I am upset because we are supposed to be free of politics. I previously asked DR elmore to keep this site safe as the posts have been making me physically ill. He basically told me he didn't give a shit, which is basically what he said again when I felt his response to the D Day post was not warranted.
I have been sick as a result. I will be back once my stomach finally un-knots, putting it mildly. It might take a few days. I am sure DR elmore will be happy not to have me around complaining.
-
Great news, Tom. I forgot to post that earlier.
-
Show time!
-
Really enjoying the selections so far. And the performances.
Really enjoying the selections so far. And the performances.
Me too!
-
Kerry O'Malley with the diet song was great. But could she sell me her kitchen? I'd need a diet, too, if I had place like that to cook in.
Wait, I do need a diet.
-
Always a pleasure seeing Christiane Noll.
-
What a great show!
Thanks MR BK & everyone!
-
Can't pick a favorite!
-
A really great one, all around. Congrats, BK.
-
Sunday evening greetings! Just finished watching tonight’s Kritzerland show, which was just what I needed - thanks, BK!
-
Bruce, the show was wonderful! Loved everyone! Brent really sounded terrific on "Two Roads."
-
Just finished watching the show. I tried to watch live, but for some reason couldn't connect. I kept trying, though, and was able to watch -- just not live.
-
Everyone was great, but Brent was my favorite. How could you not love the song and the singer?
-
Kudos to BK and Hartley.
-
I had never heard -- or heard of -- the I'm On a Diet Blues.
-
TTFN.
-
Whew! I can't watch anything on Facebook - I think Mr. Zuckerberg made sure that Safari hates Facebook and vice-versa - hiccups galore - when I switched to Chrome - perfect. That's where I watched. Lots of fun comments. Not quite as many people as last month, which I expected (mustn't have any joy or light in the world right now), but I think they'll end up watching it during the week as things calm down. For live we had about sixty-five on Facebook and a like amount on YouTube, so that's fine.
-
Kerry's kitchen was fabulous but it's not her kitchen :) They keyed in a nice big kitchen via green screen.
-
What is this page three malarkey?
-
Thanks to those who watched and hopefully those who didn't will catch up to it tomorrow.
-
What is this page four malarkey?
-
I wish I had my copy of the book to go with the songs.
-
Maybe it'll arrive tomorrow.
-
The three young girls -- whose names I don't remember, sorry -- were really a lot of fun with their wanting the part.
-
And with that, I'm off to bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
Enjoyed tonight’s show and the accompanying anecdotes.
I, too, find it much easier to watch on YouTube.
Facebook spazzes out in oh so many ways.
-
It was nice to see Richard Sherman.
-
Brent Barrett was...well, you know...Brent Barrett.
💓💓
-
You sounded great, bk.
Thanks for a wonderful evening.
-
I still would like you to sing that song you wrote about getting away to The Bahamas.
It’s one of my favorites, and we all could use an imaginary vacation these days.
-
Good night, everyone.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
The trio girls were Hadley Belle Miller, Mackenzie Wrap, and Oliviana Marie.
-
AARRGGHH!! I missed the live streaming of the Kritzerland show! :'( :'( :'(
-
I got up in time to attend my union's Zoom meeting.
-
That lasted almost two hours!
-
Fortunately, I showered before the meeting...not that it was absolutely necessary, but I did it.
-
I then made me a little something to eat.
-
And I read more of Simply as I was eating.
-
After reading one chapter, I started watching and reading online some required stuff for work.
-
I got through a few articles when my sister called.
-
She asked if I could go with her to her work so that she could pick up some work things to take to her home because she's working from home.
-
She's actually been working from home since the beginning of March (I think) and really prefers it.
-
She said that she would like to work from home for at least the rest of the year.
-
I guess whatever it is that she does can actually be done from home.
-
She has her home office all set up and lets her daughter know not to interrupt her unless it's absolutely necessary.
-
Anyway, we went to her work and she got the stuff she needed.
-
It filled a box, but it was all pretty light.
-
PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
So, you haven't even SEEN the Kritzerland show? The idea is to watch it live, friends. Well, I'm sure you'll find the time at some point.
-
So, you haven't even SEEN the Kritzerland show? The idea is to watch it live, friends. Well, I'm sure you'll find the time at some point.
I'm so sorry!! I have it playing right now as I'm ketchuping on the posts and telling my tale of woe.
;)
-
Here is where my sister works:
-
Not like we do these every day - it's once a month :)
-
I know.
-
When my sister and I got back to her place, she made me dinner and by that time, the show had already started and I knew that I couldn't get home in time. :(
-
You will flog yourself like Judge Turpin. You'd best have a full report as your penance.
-
By the time I got home, it was over, but then I realized that I had some required readings and videos that I needed to watch before I could officially go back to work tomorrow, so I started watching and reading.
-
I still haven't finished all the stuff I need to watch, but I got started.
-
You will flog yourself like Judge Turpin. You'd best have a full report as your penance.
Great opening number! The singing heads were pretty cool! :D
-
I'm going to assume that I can finish watching the required videos tomorrow when I'm at work.
-
I've actually been going in before this without having watched them, so I'll let them tell me to go home. ;D
-
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)
-
"I See Rainbows" is a fun song, and I've always loved "Here on Earth."
-
Wow! The original Dancing Dildoes! Too bad you didn't have them sing the song!
-
I just checked my mail. Nothing from Kritzerland (sob!)
I didn't get the book yesterday, either. :(
-
Brent Barrett was...well, you know...Brent Barrett.
💓💓
Here on HHW, Brent Barrett is called the World's Sexiest Man Alive! :D
-
I still would like you to sing that song you wrote about getting away to The Bahamas.
It’s one of my favorites, and we all could use an imaginary vacation these days.
I love that song, too!
-
It was fun seeing Hartley Powers singing her song.
