Well, you've read the notes, the notes consciousness and a stream, and now it is time for you to post until the conscious cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GORP!
-
Today at the Tumwater branch of the library (which is on the same street as I live on, and only two blocks away), they want to film some promo for the library (I think) and they need people to do some socially distanced dancing in the background of whatever they're going to film. Since the administrative headquarters where I work is so close to the Tumwater branch, I and several other co-workers will go over there in the morning to be background extras! I don't think it'll take too long and I'm sure that it'll be fun, so I'm looking forward to that. :)
-
I'll actually go there directly from my house, and then go to work at my building after that. Since it's a work-related event, it's all work time!
-
And now, I'm off to sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
In case our old pal Swishy Sarah drops by, a very happy birthday to her!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I need to pay a few bills and post them, and I think I will step out to the corner post box with my walker instead of my cane. My mobility is going to hell much faster than I'd like.
-
T.O.D.
When I was a kid, I wrote stories; drew my own comic books.
They weren't very good then, but it was a start.
-
Got an idea for the 31st play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS collection.
Somebody I knew.
I was going to stop at 30, but as my wife pointed out: "What are you doing to do with yourself? Sit around and watch TV?"
She's right.
In fact, once I finish that one, I think I might do another person that I knew.
:)
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy birthday, Swishy Sarah!
-
Good morning, DR JohnG!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Not only is it Monday, but I have a full slate of things to get done today.
-
THE WORLD ACCORDING TO GORP!
-
Chris from Summers is on his way.....but he is not here yet.
-
Someone posted the Frances Farmer clip from the 1957 Ed Sullivan Show....she sang "Aura Lee".....it is very interesting.
-
A new episode of "Conversations With Jack" is now also on Facebook if anyone is interested.
-
When I hear the cat go GORP, I know to look for the hairball.
-
Monday morning greetings! Easing into the week and getting ready for a FaceTime call with my friend Rebecca.
-
Good morning!
-
Well THREE men from Summers Heating came to my door. They all wore masks and shoe protection. They practiced social distancing.
They found nothing wrong although they recommended a water softener....which is probably a good idea.
They flushed my hot water heater and I think they killed a nice big patch of grass in my backyard with the outflow - which I noticed when they left.
I included that information in my review....so we shall see what happens.
-
For heaven's sake......I looked at the pictures that were included in my invoice.
My backyard grass couldn't have been killed by the overflow unless water runs uphill.
I called Jessica at Summers and told her to mark that part of my review off.....it was a mistake......she said no problem.
-
To make me feel better I made some chicken/pasta salad which is now in the fridge getting nice and cool.....
-
Two Porgys and a Lulu this week.

Plus another Thomas Ades that I’ve been told is spectacular.
-
Had a 4-hour obligatory class this morning. It was much better than I anticipated.
-
I just made my trip outside with a walker. It made my trip across Amsterdam Avenue to the post box much quicker than I was doing with a cane. Unfortunately, I missed the cane on my walk up the steps to the lobby.
-
Just finished a long FaceTime visit with Rebecca. She's dealing with her husband's major health issues. Since August 5, he's been in one hospital, a rehab facility, another hospital, and now he's back at the rehab where she cannot visit or even see him through the window because his room faces an inner courtyard. She's handling it better than I expected, but says it's the hardest thing she's ever experienced.
-
2wo!!
-
And a Very Happy Birthday to (former) DR §wishy §arah!! ;D

Druxy, have you ever thought of writing an autobiographical one-man play? ;)
-
From TCB:
Not if you had to live with him
:-\
-
From George:
It's about the one-world government digitizing everything (books, money, etc.) and the final destruction of ALL physical books!
A small group of people have to stop this!
Of course, it won't be easy and people die
:D
When you have completed all three books then please say if you still recommend it.

I just booked an appointment with a new barber for Wednesday morning. My Guys & Dolls-How To Succeed collaborator Jason recommended them, and they are only a block away from me.
-
Neither of my libraries have any books by Brandt Legg.

MEGA VIBES FOR REBECCA AND HER HUSBAND!

My niece who teaches autistic children returned to the classroom today. I hope she will be safe.

Druxy, have you ever thought of writing an autobiographical one-man play? ;)
By the same token, BK, have you ever thought of doing the same, whether a reminiscence as Benjamin Kritzer or as yourself from your Kimmel years? I could see even a show built around Nudie Musical.
-
I'm up, I'm up - a little over eight hours of sleep, then dealing with Kritzerland show stuff, answering e-mails, etc. Now, I'll go bank then hopefully pick up important envelopes.

Two Porgys??
-
Important envelope vibes for MR BK.
-
DR GINNY & DR TCB I cannot imagine the difficulty of being a patient and patient's family member during this time......
-
Vibes for those who are dealing with these circumstances in that way.
We are all having difficulties, but I cannot complain.....or at least, i should not. Our resourcefulness is being challenged - and sometimes met.....and sometimes not.

Actually, so far, I do...mostly. Some of the dialog is a little stilted, but those kinds of passages are few and far between.

I did! There were a bunch of us and we just "danced" (and I use the term very loosely ;) ) while the song "Freak Out" played over a loudspeaker. They're going to redo the song and call it "Take Out" and we're just going to be in the background.
-
Back from banking and the mail place, and thankfully both important envelopes were there.
-
Waiting for food to arrive - a replay of yesterday's food so that I know I'm right at 1000 calories.

Sometimes an ending ruins the entire book ;)

Food should be here in about five minutes. I'm starving!

I haven't gotten to the ending yet. I won't until I finish the third book, which I just start reading today. And remember that if you start it, you'll need to read all three books...it's all one big story broken up into three separate books, but they can't be read independently.
-
I’ve read six of these. What do you book clubbers think of this list?

Food was good. Wraps do tend to fall apart about halfway through. I need hazard pay.
-
I'm taking questions for the one and only Facebook and YouTube Live test we're doing on Thursday September 10. So, got to my Facebook page - the thread is right on top and you can ask your questions there. And do ask.

Which is why I want to know what you think BEFORE I begin the first bool. I like the fact all 3 books have been published.

I don't eat them very often.
-
In Michigan we used to get the best ever spinach dip. We would buy it plain for a dip or in a wrap for lunch.
-
I am waiting PATIENTLY for questions.
-
My book group discussion was very enjoyable.

I didn't know that.
-
Well, I need to leave work now, so I shall.
Be back later.
-
Need to get to bed.
-
I’m exhausted from a long but good day at work.
-
Tomorrow I start a virtual banking seminar. It starts at 8 am ET.
-
I usually start at 9.
-
It will be a challenge.
-
So, I had better get off to bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
Finished with my viewing and eating the side of pasta salad I got with the wrap.
-
Page three - bad. No questions - sad. BK - mad. :)
-
Seriously, what in tarnation is going on here?
-
Today's side of pasta salad was half the size of yesterday's.
-
I'm thinking about a walk.
-
Does the Think System work for walks?
-
I'm gonna need a replenished Diet Coke stash soon, but they've been out of it every time I've gone to Gelson's - I suspect it's one person grabbing them every day as they come out. Mark my words.
-
Listening to a Prokofiev piano concerto with Peter Serkin and Eugene Ormandy. I don't mean to say that Mr. Serkin and Mr. Ormandy are here with me listening, just that they are the artists, for those who might have been confused.
-
I could go over to Ralph's right now for Diet Coke but who knows if those aren't being snapped up, too.
-
Did you find your Diet Coke?
-
I have to up early tomorrow. The dermatagist office called today and offered us earlier appointments then the ones scheduled in October. Since I have been wondering if I can hold out that long I said YES. We need to be there early tomorrow.
-
Yes, we as we do them one after the other. I go first and then get prepped for whatever needs removing while he has his check.
-
Didn't go for Diet Coke - will do so tomorrow. Did a one-mile walk.
-
Walking is better than buying unhealthy drinks ;)
-
Do you have a market close enough to walk to?
-
Are you kidding me?
-
Hi Tom. How are you tonight?
-
I was okay, until I saw we were still on page 3!
-
Where has everyone been?
-
Speaking of that, do we know where Fred has been?
-
I can’t even find him on the member list.
-
Did I miss something?
-
Today was a crappy day.
-
I got up at 8:00 a.m.
-
And I felt like I hadn’t even slept.
-
I have many emails that I need to write last week.
-
I can’t even find him on the member list.
:o
I just thought he was taking a break.
-
And I felt like I hadn’t even slept.
Same here.
-
I tried to get thru all of my emails from overnight.
-
And I felt like I hadn’t even slept.
Same here.
You probably hadn’t.
-
I only finished one cup of coffee.
-
I kept thinking I was going back to bed.
-
Finally, I took a shower .
-
After that, I felt better.
-
So, I went to the store.
-
Well, actually I went and got my car washed.
-
It really needed it. Of course Brown Bear Car Wash had their free wash on Friday, but I didn’t feel like waiting in a long long line.
-
Then I went to the store.
-
Make that stores.
-
I went to Safeway AND Fred Meyer’s (Kroeger’s).
-
I really prefer doing most of my shopping at Freddie’s.
-
I really prefer doing most of my shopping at Freddie’s.
So do I...one stop shopping!
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Hi, Jane.
-
Hi George.
-
Fred is in Florida with his folks
-
I believe his dad is about to turn 100
-
But Safeway carries their Own brand of cranberry juice cocktail in the large 96 ounce size bottle.
-
he doesn’t have good internet availability there from what I understand
-
He’s been there for a while now
-
I prefer Safeway’s brand over Ocean Spray or Kroger’s brand.
-
We had a lovely long conversation with the Vixter this evening
-
Fred is in Florida with his folks
Thanks for the update, Vixmom.
-
Then I had a nap
-
I believe his dad is about to turn 100
Wow! That's great!
-
Now it’s 2:45 am and I’m awake
-
However in 5 hours hen I have to wake up I suspect I will be less perky
-
Hi, George.
-
So I suppose I should try and sleep some more
-
Hi, vixmom.
-
So I can wake up when I am supposed to
-
Thanks for the Fred info.
-
Sending vibes to allwhat needs them
-
And all what wants then

Goodnight Mrs. Cavendash, wherever you are
-
Vixmom I am glad you got to chat with the Vixter.

Wasn’t his member name FJL?
He changed his name
-
Good night.
-
Now FJL is Freddie
-
Wasn’t his member name FJL?
I believe he left and then came back under a different name
Freddie is his newest HHW name.
-
Now FJL is Freddie

Really?
-
I guess I didn’t know that.
-
Okay. Good night.
-
The book I am reading has me in Philly during the Spanish Flu.
-

-
Good night, Tom.
-
Wasn’t his member name FJL?
He changed his name
I forgot. Thanks for the reminder.
-
Well, it's almost 1:00 and BK hasn't changed the day.
-
I need to go to sleep, so I'll say good night to all.
-
"Good night to all."
And have a good day tomorrow!
