Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a fickle mistress, and now it is time for you to post until the fickle cows come home - they have a MOOstress.

And the word of the day is: PUNDIT!

Time for bed and sleep. 8)
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!

I'm ready to go back to bed. I had a restless night of sleep and several peculiar dreams. I only remember one of them. I was working on a new musical about college students for some eccentric millionaire producer. I doubted it would ever be produced, and then the set for a train car showed up. I thought I was doing the orchestrations, but instead I was in the cast.
-
This morning I need to drag out the Big Ladder and put some cat food away.
-
Last night I settled in to watch the Tuesday night PBS Miss Fisher murder mystery, but it was Wednesday, and today is Thursday, not Wednesday, so I'm having calendar issues.

DR JRand70, I am not happy with the New Facebook either, but I have the same problem with Apple. The last computer upgrade destroyed my iTunes, and I'm wary about the new upgrade that just showed up in my System Preferences.

Thursday morning greetings! Just checking in to tell you we have houseguests who will probably cause me to be pretty scarce around here through the weekend. Charlotte and her parents arrived late Tuesday and we’re having a great time getting acquainted. She’s practically perfect in every way!

I think it is exciting when it is 4th down and the football team decides to PUNDIT.
-
Feel better vibes for DR TCB.

I could never get my hamburgers as well done as I liked in a skillet.
Now I broil them on HI for about 7 minutes on each side and they get done. If you overcook them they are tough.....so watch them carefully. Easier than skillet frying.
And I use an aluminum pan on a cookie sheet so clean up is easy.

Good morning.

Have fun with Charlotte, Ginny!
-
Charlotte must be in style now. Another friend has a new grandbaby named Charlotte who was born yesterday.
-
I went to the drugstore to pick up my prescriptions.
I went to Pet Supplies Plus to get the Parakeet some sustenance.
I went to the Post Office to get some stamps.....I know have enough to last me into the new year......
-
Good morning, all.
With four minutes to spare!
-
Well, I guess I've been given fair warning not to let any of you cook me a hamburger. :)

I’m glad you didn’t mix up the stores. I’d likely go to the pet store for my meds.

I love this announcement:
This weekend, Alamo City Theatre will debut "Shakespeare in the Parking Lot," San Antonio's only drive-in live theater experience. Presented in partnership with — and next door to — Sanchos Cantina & Cocina, SPL combines COVID-19 safety precautions, chips and salsa, low cost entertainment and family-friendly theater all in one.
-
Also, an outdoor production of Macbeth is happening after I get back.
-

Larry, I don't think that it was your computer upgrade that destroyed your iTunes. I think Apple destroyed iTunes because I'm on Windows and last night I got the idea to look in iTunes for a podcast and that's when I discovered that it's not the way it used be. Of course, it's probably been more than a year since I even opened iTunes on my computer, so I should've discovered this sooner.

Would you join me in a feast of juicy , thick medium rare cheeseburgers?

Enjoy your visit with Charlotte Grandma Ginny

My mom gets frozen hamburger patties from Costco (not cooked at all). What she does is preheat her George Foreman grill to 400°, then pre-cook the hamburgers in the microwave for one minute, then put them on the George Foreman grill for four minutes and they turn out perfectly.

Isn’t “practically perfect in every way” a quote from Mary Poppins?

Thank you, all, for the nice wishes about our visitors.
-
Yes DR GINNY and we hope to see a photo or two.
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of sleep. Got up at noon-thirty. The nice fellow in the back house came over - he was having a panic attacked and just needed some human interaction, which I was happy to give him.
-
Then I had to deal with a few Kritzerland show things, and now I'm going to make some tuna sandwiches.
-
And I’m done for the work day.
-
Good evening!

I read a story about a stupid grandmother who lost visiting rights because she continued to post photos of her grandchild on Facebook against the wishes of the parents.

Have a wonderful visit, DR Ginny (I know you will)!

Flash Flood warnings in the DC/Baltimore area. There were tornado watches and warnings earlier. I think they're mostly expired now.

Can we get to Page 3?

I think so!

Larry, your question yesterday was have I watched the Miss Fisher movie? I watched it a few months ago when it aired on Acorn TV.
-
Hello, Kevin.
Hello, Vixmom.
-
I've been very busy. I am scheduled for an outpatient surgery next week and expect to be laid up for a few days. Lots to take care of ahead of time.
-
It must be haircut season. I had one today, which I booked last week. I learned today that it is now legal in LA to have one indoors, which this was. People aren't paying a lot of attention to the official status. I was grateful that several hairdressers have left and it wasn't crowded. We were able to do reasonable distancing.
-
I stopped for bagels for Richard, my hairdresser, and myself on the way over and stopped at my favorite food store on the way home.
-
Congrats to Druxy on his latest publication.

I missed that. Thanks for the weather report.

I'm sure DR Ginny is over the moon about Charlotte's visit. Have a good one!

Is this the one that was originally scheduled for last January?

Jane, yes, thanks. It was then scheduled for March, but we all know what happened to March appointments. Then it was rescheduled, then cancelled again. Under Covid, everything is subject to change. I REALLY want it to happen this time!

No, my hair is much too thick to not blowdry. I understand why it's best not to, but I haven't heard anything about not blowdrying in California.

Speaking of blowdrying, there was a young college student who came in who told Lana, one of the hairdressers, that she (the student) didn't know how to blowdry her hair. Lana is a very nice person, but she was clearly SHOCKED. We all were. I would think that if you've seen it done once you would know how to do it. She's studying cosmotology, too.

I even know how to blowdry my hair! :o

Interesting it is permitted there and not here. I don't think Oregon allows it either or maybe that is a personal choice.

Hmm, maybe she meant she isn't very good at it. I know how it is done makes a big difference in how good my hair looks ;)
-
All the talk of blow drying hair reminded me I needed to dry my hair.
-
While there is very little grey in the back, I can see that after the next haircut my solid brown color will basically be gone. I blame it on this pandemic ;)
-
I may be the only person on HHW who for obvious reasons would not know how to blow dry my hair.
-
After I posted that I realized that might be the case DR GINNY.
-
For some reason my Comcast ONDemand is not working.
I tried to look up the Code but there is nothing definitive on the net. I tried to get some help from the website but I only get an automated "Helper" that does not respond to specific questions.
My cable box has been "restarted" about four times, but nothing seems to help.
I guess tomorrow I will have to get out my bill and find the number to talk to a real person.....ugh!
-
Lord, this anniversary show is complex, but we're getting there :) Whew! Tuna sandwiches were really good.
-
And topped out about 900 calories.
-
So, if I do feel like an ounce or two of peanuts later, can do.
-

I am just so very happy for you.
Same. How exciting DR Ginny! Are you able to hug her and kiss her? With or without masks?
I haven't hugged my nieces in 5 months. But I have been visiting them. We just talk from the other side of the room.

Can't wait to see it! :D
-
...the anniversary show, not the tuna sandwiches. ;)
-
Well, I need to get going. I've been at work for far too long, so I'm off.
Be back later.
-
But...
-
...before...
-
...I go...
-
Gratuitous Post #100!
-
;D
-
Had a mediocre gyro for dinner.
-
My sister came in today, but we didn't get to spend too much time together because of work.
-
Then Mom and I played Rummikub for a few hours.
-
And now I must head off to bed.
-
One more day of work before the three-day weekend.
-
I have the feeling that I'll still log on Monday morning without realizing anything.
-
Good night, all.
-
Finished with my viewing and will now take a drive, since I haven't been out of the house today.
-

It is nice they are old enough to converse with you.
-
Hi, Jane.
-
Back from a drive, doing a little more work, and now listening to music. Had about an ounce of peanuts.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
How can the day be over already?
-
I just don't know.
-
Know I just don't.
-
So after work tonight, I decided to go to Fred Meyer for a little shopping.
-
I looked at the shirts to see if they had anything new that I might like.
-
I found a shirt, but forgot to bring in my Fred Meyer rewards coupons.
-
PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
Hi, Jane.
Hi George. I was reading.
-
So I went out to my car and realized that since I used a different book bag today, I didn't even have my coupons with me.
-
I decided to not get the shirt and to wait to see what kinds of coupons I have, so I went home.
-
So after work tonight, I decided to go to Fred Meyer for a little shopping.
We parked at our Fred Meyer this morning. After a nice walk to Fort Vancouver and back we did a little shopping and I picked up my prescriptions.
-
I was able to get more Germ-X hand sanitizer.
-
I came home and found the unopened coupons that I received in the mail just two days ago, and among the regular coupons for a dollar or two off of stuff that I had bought before, there was a rebate for $45! :D
-
I fed my cat and then went all the way back to Fred Meyer with my $45 off rebate, glad that I didn't buy the shirt!
-
I found a shirt, but forgot to bring in my Fred Meyer rewards coupons.
I hate when I do that. I did remember the ones I wanted today, including a free Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
-
I found the shirt and saw that it was 40% off, so even without the rebate, the $50 shirt would only cost $30!
-

Wow.

Cool!
-
So, I decided to look around and saw that a lot of the 12-pack sodas were on sale for $11 for four 12-packs!
-
Did you buy anything else and use the full rebate?
-
They're normally $5.89, and this sale dropped them down to $2.75 when you buy at least four...no problem!
-
Question answered while I was typing ;D
-
So, between the $40 off the shirt and the BIG sale on the diet Pepsis and a few other things that I got AND the rebate, I spent only $17.37!!
-
I SAVED a grand total of $78.36!! :D
-
SCORE!! ;D ;D ;D
-
Congrats are your great deals.
-
Congrats are your great deals.
Thanks, Jane!
-
I am going to read for a bit and hopefully fall asleep.
-
Good evening.
-
Hi Tom. How are you feeling?
-
It is nice to see that we did better on our posts today.
-
Thank you, one and all.
-
I am going to read for a bit and hopefully fall asleep.
Good night, Jane. And good luck!
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Boy, our summer weather held off until September.
-
Thanks George.
-
Page six!
-
Good night.
-
And page six.
-
Guess I should write some notes.
-
Good night, Tom.
