Well, you've read the notes, the notes are staying in the Hary Janos Suite, and now it is time for you to post until the suite cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: WINNING!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Topic of the Day (part 1): On YouTube, I subscribe to Opera Vision (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBTlXPAfOx300RZfWNw8-qg), and yesterday, they posted Royal Swedish Opera's, PRIMA DONNA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1NdOy1-1uw), written by Rufus Wainwright. I knew of the music CD (https://smile.amazon.com/Rufus-Wainwright-Prima-Donna-CD/dp/B0128ZEUZK/) from several years ago, but I never got it or listened to it. Now, I can watch it. :)
-
Topic of the Day (part 2): also on YouTube, I also subscribe to Stratford Festival (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_1Ricuv8kk5oUwJn4K4r7Q), and also yesterday they posted a filmed version of Long Day's Journey Into Night (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qfx_qtDrM3A&t=3526s):
Tonight we are presenting the award-winning 1996 film, directed by David Wellington, and starring Martha Henry, William Hutt, Peter Donaldson, Tom McCamus and Martha Burns. The film is based on the Stratford Festival's legendary 1994/1995 stage production of Eugene O'Neill's play, directed by Diana Leblanc.
-
Just because. ;)
-
I also came across, and plan to watch I Put a Spell on You (https://youtu.be/vvXALELuKfI)! ;D
-
Well, I need to be going. Today, I have my annual-ish checkup with my doctor. I had my blood drawn on Monday and most numbers are right where they need to be...most, but not all. ::) But before I go to sleep, I need to fill out the questionnaire. Hopefully, that won't take too long.
Have a good day, all!
-
~~~SUCCESSFUL CHECK-UP VIBES~~~ for DR George!
-
And the word of the day is: WINNING!
Please, may it be so.
-
Just who is this Janos guy, and why is he so hairy?
-
~~~SUCCESSFUL CHECK-UP VIBES~~~ for DR George!
Ditto.

I am going to the doctor myself this afternoon, but it is just for a routine annual eye exam.
-
SUCCESSFUL CHECK-UP VIBES FOR DR SINGDAW!
-
You are up, DR Jane. I am sorry.
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR George, sadly, Fox News' Sean Hannity remains a total Trump-thumping fool. Until he's gone, they remain a phony news agency.
-
What am I doing today? Same as yesterday.
-
Good morning, all.
-
And the word of the day is: WINNING!
I’d like an extra helping, please.
-
Congrats to BK on the new directorial adventure!
-
I had never heard of Regina Pizza until BK first posted of it.
-
I’d like to hear Szell’s Lieutenant Kije. I wonder if I have it here. I mostly have Reiner’s in my ear from having binged on it once upon a time.
-
I need to pull out my box sets of Samuel Barber and Howard Hanson.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Biden has pulled ahead in Georgia. Nice news to wake up to.
-
Vibes for all having tests.
-
In my email's spam folder this morning, there's one called HUGE TUMMY.
Well, they got that one right.
-
For those who need to know (and you know who you are), the November edition of Barnes and Noble's 50%-off Criterion sale begins today.
-
Thought for the Day:
-
Check up vibes for DR singdaw & DR GEORGE.
-
DR JANE I'm sorry I didn't watch that video you posted.....
-
Filming vibes and Project One vibes for MR BK.
-
Very interesting scenario there, DR Jrand70.
-
While I'm not saying one way or the other......I will say that when the winner of the election is finally announced (remember MR BK's license plate message) - that history will repeat itself.
Washington D.C. is like Broadway and Hollywood and maybe even moreso.....the current President will NO longer be of any use to anyone in the Senate OR Congress.....in fact he has become a BIG liability....so a group of Red Leaders will take their brief cases and walk up Pennsylvania Avenue to have him resign.....with the caveat that our 6-week wonder Prezzydint will offer him a pardon for any and all crimes that may or may not on purpose or accidentally been committed by him and/or his family during the last four years......
I could live with that. There are enough pre-2016 charges to jail him and his crappy family for a long time.
-
And pardoning the Fat Orange Slug should not affect charges against the two Bozos and Ivanka and her Honorary Aryan.
I would bet good money that the Fat Orange slug would sell them all out along with Malaria to save his fat ass.
-
I just had to drag up from the first floor around 30 lbs of groceries from Amazon Prime. As I struggled to get the carton into the apartment, Stella escaped and I figured, if she gets lost, she can suffer. After I had unpacked half of the carton, she showed up at my door mewing and wanting back in. She knows more than Annabelle who would still be in front of the apartmet on four wanting entry.
-
I removed my post....LOL.....it seemed a bit much for HHW.....but since it was quoted by DR ELMORE....I guess it's here to stay.
Anyway......we shall see what we shall see.
Stay calm.....

Well, they got that one right.

Thank you. That Essential Fellini set is coming my way for Christmas.

I think that was meant for me.

He could only be pardoned for federal charges. His tax return issues with New York, his defamation charges, etc. would all still stand.

The opened up a lot more flu shot appointments at the place right near me. So I got my flu shot yesterday. I think that they need to keep this method all the time. It was so organized. There were few people there at once, no lines, no wait. I was at home 40 minutes after I left (and that includes driving both ways, getting the shot and waiting the 15 minutes).
-
And the temperatures here are so warm. It is supposed to be mid-60s for the next week.

That's great. Only once have we had to wait long for our shot, still I would prefer an appointment and no wait.
-

Very nice. We have rain today with an expected high of 51.
-
DR Jrand since I still think we will have to wait until all the votes are in, and the ballots are no longer contested, the bipartisan message from Leslie is still appropriate. Here you go again.

Friday afternoon greetings! It’s a gloriously sunny day here in SW Ohio. We have a small grocery order to pick up at Kroger and that’s our excitement for the day.
-
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, warm and sunny
-
I took my car to the shop this morning because a warning light in the dashboard told me my tire pressure sensor has cease to sense
-
Geoffrey Palmer has died. What a wonderful actor.
-
Hopefully it will not be a costly repair

Check up vibes for George and Singdaw

Also for Singdaw and George

BK sounds like some exciting projects coming up! I look forward to seeing them.

So nice to have a feeling of anticipation instead of terror

DR George, sadly, Fox News' Sean Hannity remains a total Trump-thumping fool. Until he's gone, they remain a phony news agency.
I think I'd read that Fox "News" actually has more commentators/opinionators than actual news, so you really can't even call them a news agency anymore. ::)
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight-and-a-half hours of sleep.
-
Good Afternoon - very fall like day today. Windy, which I'm not a fan of. But I do like fall weather - without the wind.
Nothing else to report except keeping an eye on the election.
-
Congrats to BK on the new directorial adventure!
Ditto! :D

Ditto on that one, too. ::)

That's great! I totally forgot to order from Criterion's 50% off sale! ;D

cease to sense
Ceased to Sense is the title of my next something-or-other.
-
I have considered the Criterion edition of the original Rebecca....
-
The eye exam passed without incident. Thanks for all the vibes!
-
Belly? What belly? ::)
-
Does Janos have a hairy belly?
-
For the answer to this and other burning questions, tune in tomorrow to... THE SECRET STORM.
-
Good afternoon.
-
I went out of town today -- up north a bit. I saw some autumn color.
We don't get autumn color in the desert.
It was very pretty.
-
I wanted to go where the maple trees are, but the parking lot was full of search and rescue vehicles. I'm not sure if it was a drill or an actual emergency, but I thought I'd better keep out of their way.
-
Anyway, I turned on the old iPod on shuffle and had no news on the whole trip. It was very nice.
-
I am glad you had an opportunity to get out for a bit, DR Laura.
-
The eye exam passed without incident. Thanks for all the vibes!
Thanks for the vibes, too! My exam went well, as well! All my numbers were right where they need to be!
-
Of course, I do need to lose weight (again ::) ), but otherwise, it was all good.
-
I also got both the flu shot AND the pneumonia shot (one in each arm) and right now, both my arms feel fine. I have to call to get put on the wait list for the shingles shot, so I'll call Urgent Care because they keep the list.
-
I've been back at work for about an hour, now.
-
And pardoning the Fat Orange Slug should not affect charges against the two Bozos and Ivanka and her Honorary Aryan.
I would bet good money that the Fat Orange slug would sell them all out along with Malaria to save his fat ass.
Who would pardon Trump? Certainly not Biden! And I'm sure that there will be a LOT of state charges against him that NO ONE can pardon!
-

Exactly! And since he'll be out of office soon, the statute of limitations won't have expired, which is one of the main reasons why he still wanted to stay in office.
-
Back from banking and picking up a package.
-
I get these Postmates offers even though I no longer do them, but I took advantage of a 30% off offer today and am getting Daughter's Deli - pastrami, cole slaw, and Russian dressing. Should be here around three.

cease to sense
Ceased to Sense is the title of my next something-or-other.
And it's sequel...Ceased to Sense 2: I Wonder as I Wander.
-
So, is anyone watching (or planning to watch) Tim Rice's From Here To Eternity (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZ7c1gvP8xc)? It's only available for 48 hours, and it was posted about three hours ago (as of this posting).
-
Sad news about Geoffrey Palmer, but 94 wow.

I am glad you are able to enjoy some autumn color.

I wanted to go where the maple trees are, but the parking lot was full of search and rescue vehicles. I'm not sure if it was a drill or an actual emergency, but I thought I'd better keep out of their way.
That's a shame.
-
DR JANE thanks! Well worth the repost!
-
DR GINNY I meant to comment on your I-465 post yesterday.....it is everything you say and MORE......and has been for more than 50 years.......
-
We have a forecast of temps in the 60's and 70's for the next five days.....I can live with that.
-
I used to watch The Secret Storm now and then.....but my favorite two soap oprys were Dark Shadows and The Edge of Night......
I am sort of watching The Young and the Restless.....started during my recovery......but I am about to give up on it.....
-
I also got both the flu shot AND the pneumonia shot (one in each arm) and right now, both my arms feel fine. I have to call to get put on the wait list for the shingles shot, so I'll call Urgent Care because they keep the list.
Why are you getting vaccinated so young? The pneumonia shots are recommended at 65 & the shingles at 60.

We enjoyed a rainy walk in the cemetery this morning prior to shopping. The market was unusually busy.

Excellent.

You really do have a wonderful selection of places to order from. We had that in Michigan and I took advantage of it when Keith was traveling for work.

My DH has logged 17,000 steps today.
To paraphrase Ellen Degeneres: He started walking this morning. Now, we don't know where the hell he is.

I think because I'm diabetic, but I don't remember if that's exactly why my doctor recommended it.
-
DR George I am glad your appointment went well.
Thanks, Jane!
-
Good evening!
-
So, I found a few of the Criterion titles on Amazon (new!) for half price. One even had a coupon. If I got everything that I have in the carts between Amazon and B&N, it would cost just over $300! :o I'll have to make some hard choices. ::)
-
First world problems, I know.
;)
-
Who would pardon Trump? Certainly not Biden! And I'm sure that there will be a LOT of state charges against him that NO ONE can pardon!
I think he means President Trump might resign so VP Pence can be president for the last couple of weeks and pardon him.

Is that the version I walked out on?

For this directing thing, I'm now being told that all directors and actors have to be tested four days before shooting. That may be a deal breaker - I mean, they're saying Dodger Stadium - not only do I NOT want something shoved up my nose, I don't want to drive to Dodger Stadium.

TOD:
Dangerous Liaisons
Doctor Sleep
and who knows what else
-
I have started Dangerous Liaisons, which I haven't seen since opening night. I forgot much of the supporting cast involved, including Mildred Natwick, Keanu Reeves, Uma Thurman and Swoozie Kurtz. The beginning is perfect. When Stephen Frears succeeds, he does so beautifully.
-

Yes, I will. My doctor did say that the shingles shot is usually given when one is older, so that I'll have to have it again, but that's 11 years in the future, so I'm not worried about that.
-
And now, I'm off to my mom's house for some card playing.
Be back later.

The Tv show wasn't scary, I guess since it's was on at 4 pm. . But the movie "House of dark Shadows" was really scary!!!

I can understand why neither option is appealing. Four days only improves your chances of not catching, or having, the virus on shooting day.

I have a record of all of our vaccinations.

Did he recommend the original shingles Zoster vaccination for now vs the two shot Shingrix when you are older? I am guessing he still wants you to get at least one Shingrix.
-
I have a record of all of our vaccinations.
And my mother doesn't. I still don't know if I had measles or mumps, so I have to quarantine if there's a measles outbreak.
-
You could just go to the pharmacy and ask for a measles shot. I had to get one when there was a small outbreak at my kids' school and I was a volunteer there.

I suggest getting a titer test to see if you have antibodies. Even with his vaccination records Bryan had to titer before going to medical school.
Keith nor his mother could remember if he had chicken pox. When the kids were sick at the same time he had to stay as far away from them as possible. About a year later Keith's mother mentioned the time he had chicken pox. I about through a fit ;D

We got some shots in school. They used an air gun. Does anyone else remember those? I have no idea what was in those shots.
-
I don't remember an air gun but then I am older than you are. I did get my polio vaccination in elementary school.
-
I might also have had my DTP vaccine at school.
-

I was told by a doctor that that wasn't advisable at my age. Don't remember why.

I know BK produced a really good recording of this show, but any version is always good to me. Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens is getting a zoom production to raise money for Broadway Cares. Starting Dec. 1.

My problem with the show is that all of the young actors looked alike with their same military haircuts. I couldn't tell which story was going on half the time because I couldn't keep them straight.
-
And I didn't care.

Titer. You might be protected because the odds are you were vaccinated. Of course the protection may have worn off. The CDC recommends a booster when visiting a few locations around the world.
-
I couldn't keep them straight.
If you had been speaking of Elegies, there, I could understand why.
Ba-dum-bum.
-
It looks like there is a comprehensive book about Samuel Barber and his music by Barbara Heyman. It's massive - over 600 pages - but costs $53 (or $38 for the Kindle version).
-
Gratuitous post #150.

And page 6.

Why have I never heard of THE FANTASTIC MR. FOX before?
-
For this directing thing, I'm now being told that all directors and actors have to be tested four days before shooting. That may be a deal breaker - I mean, they're saying Dodger Stadium - not only do I NOT want something shoved up my nose, I don't want to drive to Dodger Stadium.
Why would you have to go to Dodger Stadium to be tested?
-
Does anyone else remember when some of the soap operas were 15 minutes long? I think THE EDGE OF NIGHT and THE SECRET STORM shared a half hour.
-
Or maybe it was SEARCH FOR TOMORROW.
-
I seriously doubt that any Federal charges will ever be brought against Donald Trump.
-
It is going to be cold tonight.
-
But even colder tomorrow night.
-
But the days are going to be sunny (and cold).
-
And now, I'm off to my mom's house for some card playing.
Be back later.
Well, we played two games, and I won the second! :D
-
And we still do not know for sure that he has lost the election. There are still votes left to count.
-
Hi, Tom and Jane.
-
Congrats George.
-
I also got both the flu shot AND the pneumonia shot (one in each arm) and right now, both my arms feel fine. I have to call to get put on the wait list for the shingles shot, so I'll call Urgent Care because they keep the list.
Why are you getting vaccinated so young? The pneumonia shots are recommended at 65 & the shingles at 60.
I think because I'm diabetic, but I don't remember if that's exactly why my doctor recommended it.
I suggest you keep the dates you receive them, especially in case they only last x number of years.
Yes, I will. My doctor did say that the shingles shot is usually given when one is older, so that I'll have to have it again, but that's 11 years in the future, so I'm not worried about that.
Did he recommend the original shingles Zoster vaccination for now vs the two shot Shingrix when you are older? I am guessing he still wants you to get at least one Shingrix.
My doctor's a woman, FYI. And the word "Shingrix" sounds familiar, but "Zoster" doesn't.
-
Congrats George.
Thanks, Jane!

Our governor, who ran for President this year, easily won re-election. It was no contest. The AP called the race one minute after the polls closed. Governor Inslee won by over 600,000 votes. The Republican who ran against Inslee still refuses to concede the election because he heard there might be fraud involved.

600,000 votes.

I know BK produced a really good recording of this show, but any version is always good to me. Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens is getting a zoom production to raise money for Broadway Cares. Starting Dec. 1.

That's pretty cool! Thanks for posting, John!

Maybe not, but there will be state charges, and against his adult kids, too, I'm sure!
-
But the days are going to be sunny (and cold).
It was really nice this afternoon when I left my doctor's appointment. Sunny, and not too cold, at all.

And we still do not know for sure that he has lost the election. There are still votes left to count.
But, Biden's still ahead...that's what counts!

I'd heard that Culp (the guy who ran against Inslee) on election night, had a non-distanced party at a bar in Tenino! :o

Who are you talking about?

Culp says he won’t concede until every single vote is counted and every suspected fraud is investigated.

I thought I remembered you saying he. I should have double checked. If she ment2 doses it is definitely shingrix.

But that was just his election night watch party. There was no concession.

I hadn't read that. I know he is upset that he was fired from his job as the last officed in a small town, or something like that. He complained that after 10 years they didn't even give him a plague. He forgot to mention they continued to keep him on salary while he ran for governor.

True but I wish it was by a far greater numbers in a few states.

He complained that they didn't give him a plague!? He probably deserves a plague. ;)

Yes and for so many reasons. At the moment my concern is that the numbers could switch and all will be list.

Tenino is a little south of Tumwater, on the way to Grand Mound and Centralia:
-
Thanks.
-
Anytime. :)
-
If you had mentioned either Grandnd Mound or Centralia first I would have asked where they were ;D
-
Tenino has a branch of the Timberland Regional Library.

:)

I need to close my eyes.

STAY POSITIVE! Light and sanity.

Yes but I don't think we should act as if it is a given when it isn't.
