Sad news - Johnny Crawford passed away. We were quite friendly all throughout the 1970s and 80s.
~~~CONTINUED STRONGEST AND MOST EXCELLENT VIBES & XYLOPHONES~~~ for the Big Move for bk!!!!!!!
Ha - i went to the gasoline station for $15 worth of gasoline. I hate to have to guess how much I need since I have to prepay.....so it's not quite full.....price $2.899 per gallon.
Then to Lowe's to get a thing so that I can extend the dryer vent hose......I don't like the thing I bought that vents into the house....it's kinda creepy.
Then to Goodwill where I found a small pewter tray that I needed - right there on the shelf. I also purchased the Phantom of the Opera complete Broadway recording - I only had the Highlights CD.
And a book.
Instead, I'll post this track from the album:
Is the HHW server full? I am suddenly unable to upload any photos.
I don't know the answer to either of those questions.
However the sun enters Uranus today - so expect surprises, which I only think is to be expected with such an arrangement.
Earth sign Taurus is the key player in the sun-Uranus conjunction today, bringing a sense of steadiness to what could otherwise be a chaotic but exciting day. Change is at the root of this progressive union, but Taurus is here to remind you to take it slow and easy.
Dont get us wrong: Todays conjunction has the potential to be life-altering, but because the sudden changes that it brings can cause nervousness and tension, its best to take a patient, common sense approach when possible. You dont have to let it completely rattle you, but this revolutionary energy definitely calls for you to keep an open mind as you try to navigate the things that will inevitably try to throw you off guard!
I listened to the samples on Amazon and I really like the recording. I wish it was available on a physical CD, but I might actually buy the MP3 downloads.
BK: Did your Theater World photo collection include anything of the original run of The Fantasticks at the Sullivan Street Playhouse?
From what I've seen, photographic evidence of that production is lacking in comparison with other shows. The book reproductions are - I hope - bad representation of the originals, their gray scale is total crap, and there's not a single "geographic" shot capturing the stage or the interior of the Playhouse at all.
It was available as a CD. I purchased it, but I see it is no longer available. You might check eBay.
OMG DR GEORGE......he just barely got his desk organized.
I've found one of the two organizers so that's good, and I hope the second is waiting for me on Facebook.
I don't know the answer to either of those questions.
Talk about life-altering...my new supervisor, who's only been here for a couple of months, was just fired today! :o
He doesn't know exactly why, but he's outta here. WTF??
Only the one organizer so far - I suspect the Facebook algorithm is once again working its wonders, so I posted it again.
My brother thinks he has untoward spirit activity in his house, so we are going over tonight to investigate......who knows what we will find....
Do you think he really doesn't know why or just doesn't want to say?
I awarded this to DR elmore3003:
It is of course April 30 so this is the evening when spirits move up or down depending upon their behavior since October....so they are certainly restless. They like to look in mirrors and move small objects around to confound you.....today......
You did well. We Californians would love to pay $2.899/gal. And the pewter tray sounds nice.
Dryers really should NOT be vented into the house. Lint plus warm air causes mold. Really best to vent outside.
The former property manager told me that there were a few (fortunately, just a few) units in our condo complex that originally had dryers venting into the walls! She also told me that they were fixed, so that's good. Mine has always vented to the outside, so I never had that kind of problem.
:o That was fast.
And now, thanks to a build-up of Amazon credit over the past year, plus an unused Amazon gift card, I'm now the owner of the Ormandy box set. It just dropped in price by ten bucks, of course, which is annoying and which I might call about, because that's just unfair to those who purchase these things. At the price, these 120 CDs come out to about 2.40 each. And I'm listening to disc one - discs one and two are the earliest recordings in the set - and the sound is amazing for 1944 and 1945. And Ormandy is just the berries, I must say. This is just the tonic I needed in this stressful time and it will make the next two days much easier. And there's lots of repertoire I'm not familiar with, which is also fun.
I'd read/heard that just "liking" something on FB doesn't help. You need to actually post a message, even just a smilie face, to affect the algorithms...but that's just what I've heard.
Great news about the price. Happy listening.
Then I texted with the moving company and their ETA to arrive at the new space is actually at noon o'clock, which is great. They seem very together. I'm still at one helper, but I know he's very organized. And I have another guy on hold, but waiting to hear if he's been vaccinated, which the other fellow and I have been.
The new restaurant is Latin & Asian based fusion dishes.
What about a ventless dryer?
John G, you had lots of rain, but no tornado and your power is now back and stable? No damage? All is well?
I hope it’s not the spirit of Geraldine Page in her Interiors mode.
On disc five - even the warhorses sound great and while it became very fashionable for musical snobs to denigrate Mr. Ormandy over the years, simply because he was one of the most popular classical recording artists ever, suddenly all these snobs are changing their tune and raving about this set. They disgust me, these people. Oh, I guess he WAS pretty great after all. These people should all be put in a room together and made to atone for their many sins.
Schmigadoon. Coming soon.
Keegan-Michael Key was in THE PROM. I really liked him in that.
I am very relieved. As of tomorrow, I am out of pain medication. I have two more paper prescriptions for them, but they are now worthless because as of 3/31/21, my doctor retired and his written prescriptions are worthless.
He must be doing something.
After a week of trying, I finally got an emergency appointment with a PA at my clinic who is willing to write me a temp prescription. Whew!
