Well you've read the notes, the notes were the most and happy, and now it is time for you to post until the most happy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HEBDOMADAL!
-
I also fast-forwarded thru OKLAHOMA till we got to the shirtless scene with Hugh Jackman.
-
That was a great video of Robert Weede!
-
The next video on the right side of the page was "Happy to Make Your Acquaintance" & "Big D" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nn_kGQdoq8) with the original 1956 cast on The Ed Sullivan Show.
-
And of course, there's no such thing as too much Susan Johnson! :D
-
Off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
What a most happy video of Robert Weede in the notes. Something to cherish.
-
:)
-
Looking at the Amazon listings for The Most Happy Fella. It's a mess out there.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I have, for an old man moving at a snail's pace, a rather hectic day. Amazon Fresh delivery between 9:00 and 11, which means they could be here by 8:15; I have to put that away after kitty cleanup, and then drag in the new carton of litter and put it away, take the recyclables to the basement and pick up yesterday's nail and packages. Then I must get ready for today's Access-A-Ride evaluation, and for all I know I could be waiting for more than 30 minutes for the damned Access-A-Ride to show up. While I wait I shall walk to the corner postbox and mail my first-of-the-month bills.
-
Last night we watched the 1988 Showtime production of William Inge's play Picnic with Gregory Harrison, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Rue McClanahan, Michael Learned, Dick van Patten, and Conchata Farrell. I gather it's based on an Ahmanson Theatre production. I've always liked the play and the movie, and I enjoyed the production.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Amazon Fresh arrived at 8:30, and now I must put it away.
-
Vixmom, I'm sorry to hear about your shopping experience. That kid must have been one of them Juvenile Delinquents who should be sent away to Reform School.
-
Hey, he's depraved on account-a he's deprived!
-
Can I go back to bed?
-
Weird dream last night. I was a reporter again and I had to write a story on the lastest trend in bars, which involved men and women having sex with ice figures. There were few actual details. I was having a hard time finding people who would tell me why they would want to have sex with ice. Yet there were lines down the block.
-
HA! Thanks to all for the opening night vibes.
The show went very well - but it is a very different experience to play to 80 folks instead of 198 folks.
They seemed to enjoy it, but it is the type of musical that has some songs that go on and on.....
.....and on....and the audience didn't know exactly when to applaud.
My part went over like the well-known lead balloon....perhaps tonight I can liven it up. I have neglected to mention that I go on after the cast and the choir spend about four minutes singing about "Hellfire & Damnation."
Perfect lead in to a comic bit......I am thinking tonight I will carry a fan.....
-
:)

So, a package was supposedly delivered to me yesterday, but it is not in our lobby. God knows where it actually may be, but USPS tracking says it's here. I hope it turns up by 2022.

I surmise that there were few actual details because the ice kept melting before anything could be documented.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! It's pouring rain here today and I'm so glad to stay in and putter.
-
Congratulations to DR JRand and company!
-
DR Jrand70, were you appropriately costumed? No polka dotted underwear showing?
-

Especially if it’s an ice cream cake.

This morning I received a message through Ancestry.com, someone looking for info or pictures on my great grandmother's second marriage -- a marriage I hadn't even known about. I quickly found out what I could, but considering the timeline of this marriage, it makes no sense that I never even knew of it. The husband died before I was born, but I knew this great grandmother throughout the first ten years of my life. We're all descendants of her first marriage, and she forever went by that husband's name. Oh, the intrigue...
It's exactly this kind of thing that can send you down the rabbit hole of genealogy, and I'll have to put off further research till I have a few solid hours I can spend on it.
-
I don’t want to know.
That might almost make a great title for a song in a musical. 8)
-
Happy Birthday, Joanna Gleason. She turns 71 today.
-
Vixmom, I'm sorry to hear about your shopping experience. That kid must have been one of them Juvenile Delinquents who should be sent away to Reform School.

I hope it was only a dream and not a reality someplace ;D

DR George thank you for sharing our anniversary photo. I was really thinking about one of the scenic views or the fun stone figures.
-
Good Morning. I think things have finally slowed down. All the shows are done, graduation this week and the last week of school next week. What a whirlwind of a year it has been.
-
Thanks for posting all the cool footage from The Most Happy Fella one of my favorite classic shows. The first show in my memory where a character wants to move to Santa Fe to start a better life - that has happened in Rent and Newsies as well. Go figure!
-
Though having sex with some ice
Might in theory seem nice,
Making love with the ocean
Is a much better notion.
You could boil it and serve yourself rice.
-
Obviously a lost Cole Porter lyric.
-
I don’t want to know.
That might almost make a great title for a song in a musical. 8)
You might wanna call Jerry Herman. You may have to use Mme. Arcati to reach him.
-
Poulsbo is a charming little town and breakfast at the cute diner was good.

Try performing for 12 or less...for EVERY performance in a house that held 40! :P

And that was years BEFORE this pandemic!

Happy Birthday, Joanna Gleason. She turns 71 today.
Happy Birthday to Monty Hall's daughter!

DR George thank you for sharing our anniversary photo. I was really thinking about one of the scenic views or the fun stone figures.
You mean, this one?
-
Or this one?
-
Or this one?
-
And here are the fun stone figures!
-
Great pictures, Jane!
-
HA! Too much offstage drama today.
Our story was not included in the weekly throw away today - although our ad was there.
I tried to find out why.....and said no story - no more ads.
It seems there is chaos over there....and I was told to submit the story to a man who had turned in his two week notice....10 days before......
And of course the Youth Theatre Workshop page MUST be absolutely updated TODAY.....and the script linked so the tots can read it.....NOW!
And someone who didn't submit a photo or a bio for her slide in the lobby bio show - says there's a mistake that MUST be corrected in the one I did for you from her Facebook page.....so I had to redo that....
ANYWAY that's part of the drama today.
To say the least - I haven't gotten to read any of Some Days Are Murder - I'm living it.
-
Super pain free vibes for DR VIXMOM.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
My question for ASK BK DAY was just about to be: Where are you?
-
DR George thank you for sharing our anniversary photo. I was really thinking about one of the scenic views or the fun stone figures.
You mean, this one?
Looking at Seattle is a nice one.
-
As are the next two.
-
And here are the fun stone figures!
Yes, the fun stone figures :)
-
Thanks George.
-
Great pictures, Jane!
Thank you.
-
Jrand, sorry about your drama.
-
The drive through the Cascade mountains was beautiful, plus we passed a couple of lakes.
-
Thanks George.
My pleasure!
-
We are about to stop in Roslyn, aka Cicely Alaska, to stretch our legs.
-
Happy Birthday to Monty Hall's daughter!
Are you serious? I had no idea!
-
I am also surprised. I looked her up and found that her parents are buried in the same cemetery as mine.
-
Vibes for Vixmom.
-
Happy Birthday to Monty Hall's daughter!
Are you serious? I had no idea!
Mais oui.
-
Glad things are slowing down for you, Matthew.
-
Four!
-
Happy Birthday to Monty Hall's daughter!
Are you serious? I had no idea!
I can't remember when I found that out, but it's been quite a few years...long before he died in 2017 at age 96, which was only less than four months after his wife died.
-
:)
-
Sorry about all the offstage drama, DR Jrand70. I hate that.
I would have told that gal that didn't respond to the bio request to go pound sand.
-
Some Days are Murder has arrived!
But not the 2 new CD releases. Yet.
-
It is 93 degrees in Ellensburg :o
-
I feel like Charlie Brown. Nothing arrived in the mail here, except a bill.
-
Maybe everything will be delivered next week while I’m gone.
-
Bell choir is meeting tonight for the first time.
-
Gratuitous post No. 100!
-
Car battery just died at the library. Not going to get to bells. AAA is going to take an hour.

Darn! That's too bad.
-
Car battery just died at the library. Not going to get to bells. AAA is going to take an hour.
Sorry.
-
Someone from church beat AAA there. Made it to bells. Car wouldn’t start again. After another jump, I drove straight to Walmart, but Walmart was already closed. They pointed me across the street to a cart place that was still open. I’m $181 poorer, but I have a battery that works.
Nice of the Walmart guys.
-
I’m now scarfing down some chicken tacos and a beer.
-
I didn't know that you played in a bell choir, DR John G!
I sometimes substitute in a bell choir here.
-
I'm really sorry about your car battery.
Did you get it from Agnes bk?
-
Ahrens and Flaherty have written a new song for the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, "Harmony's Never Too Late."

So, last week, I received the Blu-ray of the London production of Kinky Boots (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TZ9QXFM/) that was shown on PBS a couple of years ago. Well, I just saw that Blu-rays (and DVDs) are being released of the London productions of both 42nd Street (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08WP3LMPH/) AND An American In Paris (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Z2RXWCP/)! ;D
-
Good news, DR George.
-
Just a few more posts.
-
We can do it!
-
Almost there.
-
FIVE!!!!!
-
Good night, friends.
-
Tonight's feature is The Mouse on the Moon. Apparently someone at the library has been on a Richard Lester buying kick. This Lester flick is a sequel to The Mouse That Roared, and it has Margaret Rutherford, Ron Moody and Terry Thomas. The score is by Ron Grainer of Robert and Elizabeth fame.
-
I’m fading fast.
-
Good night, all.
-
A lull. ::)
-
;)
-
I left work and went to Costco, intending to buy just some diet Pepsi for work.
-
I came across this:
-
And then totally forgot to buy any! :o
-
At least, I remembered to get my diet Pepsi.
-
And then, I ended up spending a little over $150! :o
-
Okay, $40 of it was for $50 worth of gift cards for Meconi's Italian Subs (https://www.meconissubs.com/), which I definitely wanted, so it wasn't all impulse shopping.
-
'night
-
I'm now up in my bedroom and the little temperature gauge on my otherwise non-working clock shows that it's 85.1° F right now!
-
It's gone up in the few minutes that I've been up here.
-
When I first looked at it, it was 84.6°.
-
Hopefully, it doesn't go up much more!
-
I think the highest that I remember seeing was 93.3°!
-
But that was just before I got my operable skylight, so that doesn't really count. ;D
-
Uh oh...it's 85.5° now!
-
'night
Good night, Jane.
-
My room is now up to 86.2°!
-
I will say that it's not uncomfortable.
-
I'm dressed appropriately for warm weather in the privacy of my own home ;) and there's a slight breeze coming up from the room below.
-
My bedroom is a loft that's open to the room below, which has a ceiling fan on the angled ceiling, so the air is moving up and out through my skylight.
-
Here's the view:
-
Poulsbo is a charming little town and breakfast at the cute diner was good.
If you had asked me I could have told you that Poulsbo would be a much better place for a getaway.
-
I've never been to Poulsbo.
-
Car battery just died at the library. Not going to get to bells. AAA is going to take an hour.
Has BK been borrowing your car?
-
Another crazzzzy day.

Gratuitous Post #151!
