Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Tabonga-fied, and now it is time for you to post until the Tabonga-fied cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: NONPAREIL!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Tabonga couldn't make it to play bass.
-
Well, you learn something new every day. I had no idea that there was such a thing as Tabonga. Now I know. ;)
-
Today, the family is going to my mom's for our quasi-weekly lunch. I don't know what my mom is making. I'll find out when I get there. Other than that, I have no plans...again.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I remember seeing From Hell It Came over sixty years ago at the Paramount or Colonial Theater during one of their Saturday matinee schlock horror series to hold the kids while their mothers shopped.
-
I don't have any plans today.
-
And happy Father's Day!
-
This year would have been the centennial of my dad, born in 1921. If he had seen a regular doctor instead of foolishly believing the US government and the Veteran's Administration would take care of him, I think he might have lived to be 100. His grandmother lived to 104.
-
Good morning, all.
-
And a happy Father's Day to all!
-
I'm up and at 'em early on a Sunday because there are a few things I must accomplish before I settle in to what will hopefully be a relaxing day.
-
Upon reading the notes, I opened up the spreadsheet containing a listing of my entire movie collection and did a thorough search to make sure that I don't own a copy of From Hell It Came. :)

LOL! There are a couple of trashy schlock horrpr/sci fi films from the 1950s I wouldn't mind seeing again, but not this one.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have to remember to play tabonga drums later.

I’m glad I don’t.
-
Happy Father’s Day.
-
This was one of my favorites!
-
June 24 would have been Dad’s 93rd birthday. I hope Mom can handle it. She’s not been taking those milestones well lately.
-
How lovely! My lunatic stalker, who's been very quiet lately, sent me for Father's Day his latest group email. I hope this does not mean I'm in for another day or week of these endless pieces of crap.
I also hope he gets back on his meds.
-
:D
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Loved DR John G.'s Lily Tomlin remembrances from last night.
On this Father's Day, I remember with great fondness the night my father took me to see Intelligent Signs of Life on Broadway. I was 14. It was a magical evening.
My dad has been gone for 17 years now.
Despite tripping on a tree branch while hiking a few days ago and breaking her wrist, mom is hanging in there.
-
Tabonga. Not to be confused with Towanda.
-
Moving on.
-
TWO!!
-
Happy Father's Day to all the fathers!
My father is also gone.....in September, 2015.
-
Tabonga! Played by Palmer Lee aka actor Gregg Palmer.
In an interview on the inner webs, he told a writer he was lying there tied to 4 stakes with people shaking chickens at him....and he said "Let me up, I want to call my agent."
He was not pleased. I think Gregg was also part of an Allison Hayes package - there are at least four television episodes in which she has a leading role that he has a featured role in....they shared an agent Jack Pomeroy.....professionally, that is.
Word from reliable sources is that Tabonga was quite active with the ladies AND the gentlemen in his day....and that he encouraged another sci fi actor to arrange a three way with a former DR.....during one of those signing conventions at the Beverly Garland Chicken Coop....I mean Holiday Inn.....in the early 2000's.
-
And then there was Steven Scheuer's review of the movie in his book MOVIES ON TV.
From Hell It Came. To hell with it.
-
Where else but HHW can you learn such information?
-
And of course the British lady later played Joanna Barnes' mother in.....
THE PARENT TRAP!

Vibes to your mother.
-
Vibes of comfort to all of us who are missing our fathers today.
-
Vibes for Singdaw's Mom.
-
Back from a speed dancing class. We went through an entire syllabus of steps this morning. And I'm expected to keep them all straight. Oy.
-
The description of From Hell It Came was extremely funny. Enough that I looked the film up on IMDB. Oh my & was not surprised to see it received a 3.8 rating, which I expect Bruce thinks is too high ;D
-
There is a trailer at IMDB and I got to see the monster in action :))

Another new Broadway Radio Show is now up on the site for your listening pleasure. This time we are Riding the Cyclone with writer Jacob Richmond and Tony winning producer Kevin McCollum (Rent, Ave Q, In The Heights, Six, etc) as we chat about this wildly inventive and fun new musical RIDE THE CYCLONE

Enjoy!!!
-
I did a bit of threshing today......and put some mulch in the Pet Sematary.....
-
Every few minutes I get a message or a phone call from someone asking for something.....I feel like MR BK.
-
I wish I had a Tabonga.
-
DR Jrand70, I hope those phone calls aren't coming in on a child's toy telephone.
-
(Twilight Zone reference!)
-
Oddly enough, in the trailer the monster is called Baranga.
-
I like it.
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of sleep. Groggy and gucky.
-
Baranga IS a Tobonga......subtleties....
-
Oddly enough, in the trailer the monster is called Baranga.
Some mysteries of the universe need not be explained.
-
Been dealing with a shipping screw-up from the helper's mom. She got confused with all the Creature orders - have no idea why after all this time - but she sent everyone a CD and a DVD replacement disc (which we send out with all the DVD orders) - we don't even SELL the CD soundtrack of The Creature - I just have a box of them because that label gave it to me. So, she now has to send all those people the proper DVD package and I had to e-mail every one of those people and tell them what happened, which is what I've been doing.
-
I'm surprised MR BK hasn't gotten an email about the CD/DVD shipments.....from someone.....
-

I noticed that ;D

Groan.

You say Baranga and I say Tabonga -
-
Having a chicken Caesar from Stanley's.
-
THREE!!!
-
DR Jennifer did you family get together today for Father's Day?
-
It is 90 degrees out right now. We took an early walk today while it was a lovely, breezy 73 degrees.
-
Hot here, too, but it's been really cool in the evenings.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Went out for fried chicken and onion rings tonight. Buttermilk pie for dessert. yes, yes and yes.
-
I won't pay attention to the blood reading tomorrow morning.
-
Starting to watch a movie called The Sound Of Silence with Peter Sarsgaarrd as a sound engineer who tries to find harmonies within living spaces for his clients. It's quirky enough to be intriguing and human enough to fall for the characters with all of their flaws.
-
Austin Pendleton is in the supporting cast, and I almost always find him a welcome presence.
-
So, where is everyone tonight?
-
The air conditioner just kicked in and I still have it on the day setting. That means it's hot in here.
-
It's hot, but not monotonous.
(A Sondheim reference.)
-
Is that how we have to get through to page four?
-
On Sondheim references?
-
So, somebody was dropping accid when they made the most recent episode of Cher I watched.
-
Her guest stars were Kate Smith, Ike and Tina Turner, and Tim Conway.
-
At the end of the show, Cher, Tina and Kate get together for a brassy tribute to the Beatles that had Ike lead the band out in a parade.
-
Jaw-dropping, gobsmacking god-awfulness on display.
-
Kate Smith decided to channel Ethel Merman when tackling "Let It Be."
-
And she not only tackled it, she pummeled it into the ground, beat it with every belt she had.
-
What can be store in these last four episodes?
-
Hello, 1 guest!
-
Happy summer solstice!
-
Happy day after Juneteenth!
-
Happy, happy, joy, joy!
-
What is this page three malarkey?
-
Cranberries!
-
Underpants!
-
Cha-cha dancers to the right!
-
Kate Smith to the left!
-
Four!
-
What is this page four malarkey?
-
Well, The Sound of Silence has ended.
-
That concludes my viewing for the evening.
-
And my day.
-
Good night, all.
-
Gratuitous post No. 96!
-
:D

A bit late at that point, I would think.

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers!

Ditto, September 16, 2020.

Yikes! :o

Deliberate post #100:
It is 90 degrees out right now. We took an early walk today while it was a lovely, breezy 73 degrees.
It's 86.4°F in my bedroom right now. :P
-
Today at my mom's we had fettuccini Alfredo.
-
She made mine with chicken, and everyone else had shrimp in theirs.
-
I'm not a fan of shrimp.
-
We played Phase 10, and my mom won today, after having won twice on Friday!
-
After we played and everyone else left, my mom asked if I would put together a new BISSELL Crosswave All in One Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Mop (https://www.amazon.com/BISSELL-CrossWave-Cleaner-Wet-Dry-1785A/dp/B01DTYAZO4) that she had ordered through HSN.
-
I put it together and started to explain how to set it up and how it all worked, but she realized that it was actually a little too complicated for her. :-\
-
I looked up things and found that it could be returned to HSN, and (fortunately) it was still within the window of opportunity.
-
It took me a while to figure out how to put it all back in the box properly, but I think I got it right.
-
I'll take it to work tomorrow and leave it for UPS to come and pick it up.
-
I won't have to call because UPS comes to my work pretty much all the time.
-
They'll pick up what needs to be picked up, whether they're personal or business packages.
-
My mom also has an older carpet cleaner that my sister gave to her, and she wants me to figure out how that works. ::)
-
I took pictures of the thing and will have to look up to see if I can find a manual because she doesn't have one, and I'm sure that my sister wouldn't still have one, either.
-
Then, as I was driving home, my sister texted me, asking if I could come over and help her and her boyfriend (who was at the store but would come over shortly) move a small couch from her upstairs down to the garage, and a smallish recliner from the garage upstairs.
-
Ugg. :P
-
I had to go home and change into shoes first, but she didn't mind that.
-
Good.
-
I had been wearing my Birkenstock-like sandals, and it wouldn't have been safe to wear those while moving furniture up and down a staircase.
-
It was quite warm in her upstairs room, but we were able to move the couch and the recliner without much difficulty...effort, yes, but not difficulty.

-
I went to church today
-
Fortunately, the couch wasn't that big, nor did we have to turn corners on the stairs.
-
Then I delivered communion to four housebound people
-
Then, I came home and am cooling off!
-
Then I went to the florist to have two floral arrangements made
-
While I was waiting I judged it was late enough for Vixdad to be awake so I called his cell to see if he wanted me to bring him an egg sandwich
-
He advised that he was at Urgent Care
-
He advised that he was at Urgent Care
Oh, no!!
-
He had twisted his ankle yesterday after slipping off the bottom stair in the basement.
-
When he woke this mornin* his ankle and calf had swollen and it was very painful to walk
-
They took X-rays and determined it was a bad sprain and sent him home with his ankle wrapped in an ace bandage and a ankle brace
-

~~~Ankle-and-Calf-Be-Better-Quickly Vibes for Vixdad!!~~~
-
They took X-rays and determined it was a bad sprain and sent him home with his ankle wrapped in an ace bandage and a ankle brace
Whew! At least it wasn't broken!
-
I got him settled and made him a nice breakfast
-
Then I drove to my mom’s and took her to the cemetery and placed flowers at the graves of my dad and my grandfather ( my moms dad)
-
Then I brought her home and went grocery shopping
-
Came home and put everything away and then made Vixdad and myself lunch
-
He was busy binging on NCIS
-
Then I cleaned up and suddenly it was 5
-
I sat down and closed my eyes for a second
-
And suddenly it was nearly 8
-
The Vixter called for her Dad and we had a nice chat with her and her hubby
-
Dinner tonight was potato chips and onion dip
-
And now since it’s half past 1 I must get to sleep
-
Good night
-
Good night, Vixmom!
-
And now...
-
...since we're...
-
...so close...
