Well, you've read the notes, the notes were energized and inspiring and, of course, boring, and now it is time for you to post until the boring cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SACROSANCT!
-
That's pretty exciting that the rest of the Indiegogo perks will soon be ready for shipping! Can't wait!
-
Today is supposed to be cooler than yesterday (but still pretty warm), so that's a good thing. Right now, the temperature in my bedroom is 90.5°.
-
Off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
The AC ran all night, and Stella spent most of the night lying in front of it. Annabelle slept in her bookcase aerie, and Thatch and I slept nicely together. Tomorrow will be in the 90s as well, and Thursday we have a break from the heat and storms, just when I'm out for a doctor's appointment.
-
Our hot water is no longer pink, which seems to be the result of potassium permanganate, which disinfects the water, preventing people from drinking harmful bacteria. I guess Jeff was treating the water when it was off yesterday.
-
Michael returns today, and we will continue to pull books. Before he arrives, I'd like to pay a few bills and have him post them on his way out.
-
DR vixmom, what a frightening way to close a party! I hope Steve and the old lady are okay.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Threats of thunderstorms all day today.
-
My plants could use the rain.
-
Good morning, all.
-
We're looking at two more days of it -- 95 today and tomorrow, then down to 80 on Thursday. I'll take it.
I do not know how one can sleep in a 90-degree room. My hat is off to you, DR George.
I know I have a rough time sleeping if it's 70, or even in the mid-60s. And that's with a small fan blowing on me. I'm such a wimp.
-
And yet, it's weird. If I'm running my a/c while sleeping, it's set for 72 or 73. But that's chilled dry air. Try to sleep when that's just the room temperature, or - worse, muggy air through an open window? That should be something that feels "balmy" and nice. But it rarely is.
-
This morning I must accomplish a run to the bank, and the supermarket for a few things. Then I need to do some work at the keyboard.
-
Vixmom, what a harrowing turn of events! I trust vixdad has recovered from the heat exhaustion. Vibes for the both of 'em!
-
DR vixmom, what a frightening way to close a party! I hope Steve and the old lady are okay.
Chapter 27. Steve and the Old Lady
-
VIBES (heat and otherwise) to all!

Chapter 27. Steve and the Old Lady
LOL! Dr Thatch and Nurse Annabelle Forbush to the ER!
-
I've been to the basement and mailboxes. I got two small packages, one a CD and one a DVD. I haven't opened them yet.
-
Just been working on theatre stuff all morning.
It's ALMOST done.
-
Have to get PILLOW TALK stories out to the print media.....then I'll post it on the website/Facebook on Thursday or Friday.
-
Working on a slide show for the lobby.
-
Thanks for the Robert Yacko information MR BK! I wish I still had my program from that FIDDLER production!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Working on a slide show for the lobby.
I'd like to change my bio. Even though I didn't turn anything in.
-
~~~SUPER DUPER RECOVERY AND RECUPERATION VIBES~~~ for the DH of DR vixmom!!!!!!! My goodness.
-
Well, it's just one more.
-
TWO!!
-
Tuesday morning greetings! Last day of virtual ALA and the closing speaker is Barack Obama. I heard him in person at ALA in Chicago in 2005 when he was a newly-elected Senator.
-
DR Vixmom, I hope Vixdad is feeling better today. It was heat exposure that caused Richard to have double vision several years ago.
-
Watching a zoom meeting where the sound and visual are out of sync. It’s driving me crazy.
-
From DR TCB:
I got an angry set of texts from a friend that so many Tacoma restaurants, especially along the waterfront, stayed close today because of the hot weather.
::)
I am sure they had good reasons to close, like not being able to keep the kitchen cool.
-
To the Vixter and her hubby,
-
I am back from the supermarket and a couple of other quick stops, and BOY IS IT HOT OUT THERE.
A little too darned, if you ask me. Not that anyone did.
-
I'm up, I'm up - six-and-a-half hours of sleep.
-
To the Vixter and her hubby,
Thank you!
-
Vixdad and the old lady are both doing well !
Thank you!
-
Two years ago today all the family was in Kissimmee.
-
Michael Gildin has left for the day. He is a godsend.
-
I'm ready for a nap.
-
At this time the Vixter, all the bridesmaids, my mom and I had converted the dining room of our timeshare into a beauty parlor and two hairdressers and a makeup artist were making us all beautiful
-
Vixdad was hiding in the bedroom with a good book
-
Well lunch is over
-
Time to head back to the office
-
I wonder how many more days I’ll get to say that….
-
Many more I hope DR VIXMOM.
-
DR singdaw the slide show is frozen......but if you want to print up an insert for the program, you can stuff them in yourself.
-
One of the "actresses" from the current show - now going through its tech week - stopped by to ask my assistant director if she know where the SPANX were in the costume shop.
Sandi told her she didn't think there were any up there.....since when do we provide undies for our performers?
-
Good afternoon!
-
Vixdad and the old lady are both doing well !
Thank you!
Good news!
-
Happy Anniversary to the vixter and her hubby!
-
TOD from yesterday: I also saw the Harvey Fierstein/Rosie O'Donnell production of Fiddler on the Roof. All I remember is that Rosie seemed to be using an Irish brogue. I also saw the Danny Burstein production and the Yiddish one and enjoyed both.
-
It's relatively cool here compared to the PNW. Only 95 degrees. Of course my A/C has been operating for the last month or so.
-
Actually, Kevin, right now at 11:25 a.m., it's only 75°! :D
That's great, George!
-
In my best Oprah imitation...
YOU get a SPANX! And YOU get a SPANX! EVERYBODY GETS A SPANX!
It sounds like a wonderful time.
Smart man ;D
Many more I hope DR VIXMOM.
Vibes this is true.
Yesterday that was our prediction for today. At my meeting yesterday we all commented that we have never been so excited about 95 degree weather ;D
-
The heat burned against our skin and the hot wind hurt our faces just on our short walk to the clubhouse.
-
I am the farthest building away.
-
Today the forecast is only 94 degrees ;)
-
At 12:40 it is 82 degrees.
Thanks for the update. Good to know.
-
We did an afternoon shower. Now thunder is rolling in.
-
;D
Let me hear more about that ice cream part, please.
-
I had a 20% Grubhub offer, so I ordered from Luke's Lobster. Their clam chowder is so damned good! DR Ginny & Richard and I lunched there on one of their visits. I also had the Luke's Trio and the slaw.
Especially if you deliver.
Here’s the recipe, Elmore. I like any recipe with 1 cup of heavy cream in it.
So many plants have been lost in this heat :(
Blu-rays arrived and are now at the storage facility. Coming home was insane - couldn't turn on my usual street because there was a line of twenty cars all turning there - clearly, they knew what I was about to find out. I went to the next major street which was blocked off with workmen. The next major street after that was Ventura Blvd. which was absolutely a disaster area. They've ripped up the street before the freeway entrance, which blocks off two lanes and it took about fifteen minutes to go three blocks. Once past that, we get the joy of them blocking off two lanes AFTER the freeway entrance and for two blocks past that. Another fifteen minutes. I really wanted to park the motor car, get out, find the boss man, and lay into him. This kind of work should never be allowed during the day on the most traveled street in the Valley. Ever. After hours, when it won't disrupt.
That's a good one, Singdaw! :))
Yikes!! :o I HATE it when that happens!
-
Good plan DR George.
-
We just returned home from our afternoon walk. It is 88 degrees, and a pleasure after the higher temps.
-
It was a relief not to have the burning sensation on my skin due to the heat.
-
DR George I hope your bedroom is much cooler tonight. Our current temp is 91 degrees and you are cooler up there.
-
DR George is always cool! 8)
-
I was just drooling over a simple lemon no-churn ice cream recipe I saw online.
-
Hello, 1 Guest!
-
Gratuitous Post #87!
-
Just finished Episode 3 of Mystery Road.
-
Good night, friends.
-
'night
-
Thanks, Jane! I'm sure it will be!
-
It was cool enough today that I was able to comfortably walk to the local Meconi's Subs for lunch. The food was quite good...as usual!
-
DR George is always cool! 8)
If you only knew the truth! ::)
-
;)
-
And now, it's time for me to leave work and do a little shopping, then head home to eat the rest of my Panda Express from last night.
Until later.
-
As soon as work ended, I went dancing.
-
Then I came home and ate.
-
Now I'm watching the rest of the Bert Stern documentary. He shot Marilyn's last photos, created the images of Sue Lyon with the heart sun glasses in the Lolita poster, Liz as Cleopatra, Twiggy, etc. He was also married to ballet great Allegra Kent. His life story is as messy as his pictures were brilliant.
-
Gratuitous post No. 99!
Stuart Damon has died at age 84. He was Leslie Ann Warren's Prince Charming in Cinderella.
-
Finished with my viewing. Cooling down the home environment and listening to music.
-
We brought in one of those portable room air conditioners tonight
-
Meanwhile the air conditioning unit at the office broke this afternoon
-
The boss told us we can come in shorts tomorrow if we want
Oh, no. :(
-
Good! We have a fairly relaxed dress code (recently relaxed), so people can wear shorts, but not shoes like flip-flops.
He was being totally ridiculous. A restaurant has a right to be closed whenever they decide. I don’t doubt that he called them all up today and yelled at them.
-
At twelve midnight tonight, Washington state opens up to full return of all businesses.
-
Apparently, a lot of bars (at least in Seattle), are going to reopen at 12:00. They will be open for a big two hours.
-
It sounds really silly to me.
-
Of course, if Baskin-Robbins was opening at midnight, I would already be in line.
-
It'll be kind of weird tomorrow, after being closed or distanced for so long.
-
I just found out that the local Tumwater Baskin-Robbins closed. :( I don't even know when it happened. I was driving by and noticed that it was empty and the signs were down.
-
Everything is going back to 100%, but they are still telling people that social distancing needs to be observed. Huh?
-
The next three days will be in the low eighties, but on Saturday we are going to go back up to ninety degrees.
-
My weather app says that it's only 63° in Tumwater, but here in my bedroom, it 84.6°. :-\
-
But I'm quite comfortable. :)
-
Has anyone else seen Vin Diesel on any of the talk shows this week. I swear he is either on coke or meth. He can’t stay seated. He keeps getting up and moving around.
-
He reminds me of Tom Cruise jumping up and down on Oprah’s couch.
-
F I V E !
No, I haven't. :-\
-
We must hurry.
-
It is after 12.
-
I’m late! I’m late!
-
Cranberries!
-
George, a little help here.
-
Let’s get moving.
-
Sorry, I got a text.
-
UNDERPANTS
-
It's now 84.2° in my bedroom.
-
CRAP BALLS!!
-
:))
-
It's a post.
-
::)
-
I don’t have an indoor thermostat, but it is quite comfortable in here.
-
I turned off the A/C an hour ago.
-
Okay, I think we are safe now.
-
I need to crash.
-
Crash safely, though!
-
Good night, George.
-
(Am I really going to bed, or heading out to the nearest bar??)
-
(Am I really going to bed, or heading out to the nearest bar??)
Only The Shadow knows! ;D
-
Good night, George.
Good night, Tom.
-
I wonder if I can make it to Page Six.
-
Well, let's see.
-
Tomorrow, I have no special plans except to go to work.
-
I'll probably go to Red Wagon for lunch.
-
I walked there today, but they were closed.
-
I assumed because of the heat, although, even though it was warm, it was much cooler than the last couple of days.
-
And here we are...PAGE SIX!!
-
:D
