Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fit as a fiddle, and now it is time for you to post until the fit as a fiddle cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ADAPTABLE!
-
HA! First post after MR BK!
-
That hasn't happened for me in YEARS....YEARS, I tell you.
but I am unable to sleep at all so here I am typing at 4:59 a.m.
so faar - I was about the say so far no mistakes....but there's one for you.
-
So we shall see what the day brings - but I hope saner heads prevail and JOSEPH is canceled with all the headaches that may bring.
On the JOSEPH facebok page - three folks have already posted that if the show was delayed, they would be unable to continue. And I didn't even ask that quesiton!
-
Happy Birthday to Lucille Ball!
Thanks DR JEANNE.....I bet attending a filming was a blast!
-
Now maybe I will try to go back to sleep for awhile.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well. Thatch kept me company, and Annabelle currently prefers her Amazon cartopn to my pillow. I have no idea where Stella is sleeping these days.
-
DR Jrand70, I think for the safety of all that you should cancel, but I know how upsetting and frustrating this situation can be. I hope that, whatever decision is made to continue or close, that everyone emerges healthy.
-
Due to the huge number of idiots, fools, and morons in this country - too many of them leading their folds - I fear that we will never get this pandemic under control.
-
This morning I must step out for x-rays. I would rather stay inside.
-
Yes DR ELMORE that is the important thing.....which some folks don't seem to understand.
And of course I have alerady had communication from another person who would not be able to stay for a postponement - another soloist.
-
That makes four.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Friday vibes for everyone. On me.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
{{{HUGS}}} to DR Jrand70 and company.
-
I had a strange dream last night about a big, glitzy Broadway production number which featured a line of Kenmore dishwashers stretched across the stage.
-
Last night we watched the blu-ray of Tonight's the Night. Annabelle has decided it's the perfect 2-person musical for her and Thatch, and I've had to listen to them mangle "Duet for One" all morning. Stella is wisely keeping out of their way. I'm afraid to watch "Revenge" with them.
-
Good ol’ Thatch. He plays nicely with everyone.
-
Good ol’ Thatch. He plays nicely with everyone.
He's my little angel.
-
I've written my Amazon review and submitted it. My last review for The Bumper Book of Bottoms took two days to clear.

Since they're both children, I fear Annabelle's version may come off much like the original Merrily We Roll Along with college kids being clueless about middle-age angst. Still, I think it;'s a better choice for them than I Do! I Do!. Annabelle's "Flaming Agnes" is really poor.
-
I must put on my shoes and head out.
-
Good morning, all.
-
DR Jrand70, I can't personally imagine any course of action you can take except to cancel. I also can't imagine how wrenching that decision must be, just a few days before opening. Vibes you get through this process without too much additional HELL. Where does the board stand on this as of now?
-
Our cancelling of The Fantasticks is nothing compared to this (even though we THOUGHT that was wrenching), and right now I have to be grateful that it had nothing whatever to do with Covid.
-
Tonight <-- (hmm, catchy - maybe somebody more creative than I can do something with that...)
we're going to see my director friend's Godspell at the outdoor place here. It closes tomorrow night, and now in view of all of the above, I have to say that it, too, has been very fortunate to not have to deal with anything but weather on one Thursday and I think one Sunday. I won't see my friend because he's out of town till tomorrow, but I know he'll appreciate hearing of DR Jrand70's saga, by which time, of course, it will have concluded one way or another.

TOD
This week I actually got caught up in having the Olympics on, even just quietly in the background whenever they were featuring something of no interest. But there are a few things I do enjoy watching, even if I don't ever follow any of it at any other time.
-
Today is the release of Barbra Streisand's Release Me 2 album, cuts never released from 1969 to present. Target apparently has an exclusive edition with bonus tracks.

BK said he needs to give up Taco Bell for a while. I never ate from there enough to have to say that (though I've said it about plenty of other places, trust me on that). Rather, it's been something I don't think to have more frequently than once every few years. It probably doesn't hurt that the closest ones are in slightly out of the way locations for us.
My best Taco Bell memories are, quite literally, my first times at one. I remember it clearly. I was living in my little Beverly Hills apartment near Wilshire and Robertson, and one evening I was out riding my bicycle, and I found myself in front of the Taco Bell that on Third Street -- or maybe it was Beverly Blvd., I've gotten confused on this before -- and I stopped to eat there. I knew it was a popular chain, but I'd never bothered to try it till then. It was cheap and tasty, and I liked it. How cheap, you ask? I'd have a taco, a burrito supreme, and a Coke, all for $1 American money.
So I'd drop by there occasionally while living in that area, but after that I don't recall going to one till years later when I'd drive to one on a lunch hour just for something different. The last time I stopped at one for the purpose of trying a couple of their things I'd seen advertised, I found those things so unworthy that I believe it's a place where one is better off sticking to the basics.
-
I love the idea of Annabelle and Thatch performing Tonight's the Night!
-
Well, I got to the street and had an anxiety attack that while I was out, there was an apartment fire caused by a power cable and the cats were killed. The longer I waited for a taxi the more anxious I got. So I came home and I'll try again on Monday morning.

I love Taco Bell when I'm in Ohio, but in Manhattan - where I have no idea if there are any Taco Bells or not - I call my local Great Burrito, which the French would call tres yummé!

I fell back to sleep and woke up at almost 10:30 am

Post It As You Type It Day is amusing me - anyway.
I forgot and probably corrected one or two things earlier, but I just read over my Taco Bell post, and there's an extra word in it!!! ...which I will be good and not correct.
I should add for clarity, however, that the $1 for a whole meal there was in the late 1970s, in case anyone wondered. (I haven't gotten many cards or letters on it yet, but wanted to be proactive nevertheless.)

We might wind up being in the same boat on that "next season" thing. Time will tell...

Friday morning greetings! After 3 mornings in a hotel, I'm enjoying a slow start today with my own coffee. After some desk work, I'll enjoy my own shower, get dressed, and clear out a bookshelf in the basement.

I don't understand what any of that means, but I don't think it has to do with "post it as you type it" day. :)

(you can click on it to embiggen it)
-
I gotta tell you.
-
I'm hungry - but can't eat until two-thirty. Damn them, damn them all to HELL.
-
It's funny - I don't make many mistakes when I type posts, but the notes - yikes.

I think all the Indiegogo stuff is finally out the door - some of the ones where there were a lot of disparate items required finding the right way to ship them safely.

Self test, as in paying the cost yourself, with a kit from the pharmacy? I thought there might be someplace you could go to get it free.

There's a place here in Olympia called Quality Burrito (http://qbinhousemenu.blogspot.com/?m=1), and they have some really good and very large burritos. Right now, they have a limited menu and are open for a limted time each day...but they are good!

I really do believe it is safe for you to walk outside in your neighborhood if you stay away from people.

Cool! I think my niece woukd appreciate not having to go into Portland just for the donuts!
-
Does your niece really drive all the way to Portland for them?
-
They will be 15 minutes vs 35 minutes from us, and 5 minutes from the mall. I rarely go to the mall.
-
When we left this morning, Keith to the gym and me for a haircut, we passed fire trucks and lots of police cars at the park.
-
After returning home I asked a neighbor, we knew walked there this morning, what had happened.
-
Homeless people at the beachfront nearthe park started a fire then got into a fight.

Sometimes my space bar doesn't work. I must not tap it hard enough.

Yes DR JANE I bought one. It is suggested that if you test positove that you get one of the other tests and wait for the results - sine I cam bacioinated and otherwise okay I will accept the negative result.
There are two tests in the bos, so I will do another one on Monday.
-
These tests give you instant results.
-
Does your niece really drive all the way to Portland for them?
I think she did it one time, but otherwise she'll make a day of it with her mom and Larry, and also go to the vegan mini-mall in Portland. Actually, they probably would still do that since they'd go to several places within a close area.

I'm interested in these at-hom tests. I understand thst if yu test positive you'd want a to test again with a better test. Is that the consensus as well? Any idea wheter the at-home test tend to a false positive or a false negative?

Lucky #112!

Had a nice early meal at Vitello's - my gal apparently neglected to tell them to hold my check for pick-up and they'd just mailed it. Since it's only going about a mile, one would hope for tomorrow.

Only a few more.

But it's quality, not quantity, right?

We could do quality AND quantity.

Well, calling it a "mini-mall" is a stretch. It's basically four vegan stores along a street next to each other.

Today I went out with my mom so she could find new floor tile for one of her bathrooms
-
We went to two tikes p,aces and Lowes
-
The two tile stores were on opposite side of the same shopping center
-
The first place mom found three tiles she liked but when we went to buy the samples one of them was no longer being made - available stock only - so we put that aside.
-
One tile cost $12.95 a square foot and the other $9.95 a square foot
-
Then we went to the second store which has been opened for less than a week
-
There mom found two tiles she liked and we bought those samoles
-
$1.69 a square foot and $ 0.89 a square foot
-
Then we went to Zlowes where they had no tike
-
Mom looked at new sink cabinets but everything was too large and th3 wrong color
-
78 hours later
-
( perhaps a few minutes less, but you know it seemed really long)
-
Had a nice early meal at Vitello's - my gal apparently neglected to tell them to hold my check for pick-up and they'd just mailed it. Since it's only going about a mile, one would hope for tomorrow.
At work today, I ordered some supplies from a company that'sonly two miles from my work. If I'd had them shipped, it would've cost $63! I was able to take a work van and pick them up and it only took about 10 minutes to get them.
-
We finally got back to her house and we layid all the samples down so she could decide
-
The one tga5 looked best turned out to be the one that onk6 cost 89 cents a square foot
-
So tomorrow she wants to go back and return all the samples for refunds
-
And buy th3 tiles fir the bathroom
-
So ypthatll b3 fun
-
Then I came home and ate lunch
-
Even though it wa$ 330
-
Leftover pork egg fu young from last night
-
And leftover pork fried rice
-
Mmmmmm
-
The. N I went grocery dhopping
-
Came h8mevput the stuff away and made dinner fir Vuxdsd
-
Since I was t hungry
-
And I’ve been engaged in a chat with a few friends
-
In other news I now am sporting an attractive leprosy look as I shed my skin like a lizard
-
Jack I am very sorry fir the quandary you are in
-
How miserable to have to cancel after allyour hard work
-
Vibes you remain covud free
-
Your sister in law and the rest of your family remain in my prayers
-
Hugs for Elmore
-
Breathing vibes forvTCB. Are you being affected by the smoke from all the California fires.?

Good article, Jane. Thanks.
Yes, from what I read in this article and others the problem is that the at-home tests don't always catch a positive case, so it may say you're negative when you really aren't. But it sounds like a positive result is likely to be correct.
-
Tried to watch a motion picture but dozed off for an hour, so I'll re-watch tomorrow. Now I'm listening to music. Brought in a few more CDs to put into iTunes.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Not eating anything else today.
-
I'm home ftom my mom's.
-

Well, I got to the street and had an anxiety attack that while I was out, there was an apartment fire caused by a power cable and the cats were killed. The longer I waited for a taxi the more anxious I got. So I came home and I'll try again on Monday morning.
I hope you are feeling better, Elmore.

I was thinking the 1890’s.

Does your niece really drive all the way to Portland for them?
I think she did it one time, but otherwise she'll make a day of it with her mom and Larry, and also go to the vegan mini-mall in Portland. Actually, they probably would still do that since they'd go to several places within a close area.
I had no idea a vegan mini-mall exists in Portland ;D
I thought you wrote, “a virgin mini-mall in Portland.”
