Cat vomit. Oy.
The ones from Poe we used to discover in our bare feet were the nearly invisible spots that he'd invariably leave on the tile floor, which you'd step in and nearly go sliding first thing in the morning when all you wanted to accomplish was navigating your way to the kitchen for a much needed cup of coffee.
Thanks to all for the thoughts for my uncle and the prayers from DR TCB and others.
They are most appreciated.
WTF? My insurance company just called to tell me my radiation treatments have been denied.
I guess if you've got the money.
Sorry to read your horrible news, DR elmore3003. Hoping your doctor can sort it out.
I'd read a synopsis and liked what I read, so I do plan to read it...eventually.
We have a verified sighting of a beluga whale in Puget Sound.
I have never seen The Omen, any version.
I’m not a fan of scary movies so I’ve missed most of the movies that are “classics”
Thanks for posting that, DR George! I never pay attention to how many posts I've made.

Vibes for Elmore.
And the hits just keep on coming: Now the helper's mom says she got it wrong and has to quarantine until next Saturday. What a disaster and I can do nothing about it other than answer the ten irritated e-mails I get every day from irritated people. I think I have to find someone else, but for now I just have to play this stupid waiting game and I've asked for her assurance that she will make this her top priority the minute she's back home.

I found the following on Doerr's website and wish I had read this earlier into reading Cloud Cuckoo Land.

DR John you might also appreciate this.
And that energy filled the theater when the game started. I know one woman won a trip to New York City for four days. Another won a refrigerator-freezer.
Because there were two shifts, the theater gave us pizza for dinner, which was nice.
I get a few days off ushering. The next is Loudon Wainwrite III.
The next thing that I'm ushering for is a Neil Diamond Musical Tribute as a fund raiser for the Olympia Union Gospel Mission (https://ougm.org/).

That sounds like fun. Have always been a Neil Diamond fan.
I am beginning to fade, George.

I don't doubt that a lot of people are.

I think more people are these days, at least now that Sweet Caroline is a drinking song.
Well, my day of fatigue has passed following a pretty solid night of sleep. At least I knew what to expect from the booster shot, which was pretty much what shot #2 back in March had left me with -- just a complete lack of energy the next day. I did accomplish a pretty good afternoon on the couch watching movies, a completely random selection consisting of:
The Day the Earth Caught Fire (1961)
The Woman Who Came Back (1945)
It! The Terror from Beyond Space (1958)
Now I would rather sit through a Shirley Temple marathon, than five minutes of the latest HALLOWEEN film.
I am not sure why the change.
I left as a woman was trying to win a trip to Hawaii.

I thought you said there were no prizes?
