We all slept snugly and warmly under our laundered winterized bedding.  After six hours of laundry, moving s mattress, and putting the bed back together with new blankets and comforter, I was very happy I vacuumed on Saturday.

I'm now about a third through State of Terror, and it's a good thriller. I don'y know which author - Clinton or Penny - is behind the writing style of strings of short 2- to 4-word incomplete sentences, but I can't say I like it much. I find it annoying.

Not really. I’ve read a lot of old translations of Balzac and a couple of Dumas. They were definitely expurgated, but the difference is that they were still entertaining to read, even when cut. The Zola novels, in this set of translations, are not entertaining. You know something is missing.

That's exactly what happened to me last week at my post-op. After a battle to actually see the doctor instead of just the PA, one of the new problems wouldn't materialize. But he saw enough to know we had to backtrack.

I'm now about a third through State of Terror, and it's a good thriller. I don'y know which author - Clinton or Penny - is behind the writing style of strings of short 2- to 4-word incomplete sentences, but I can't say I like it much. I find it annoying.

The pairing of Clinton and Penny surprised me. I stopped reading Louise Penny's books because life is just too perfect in them--except, of course, that someone is murdered. The murder is solved, then perfection returns. A lot of incomplete sentences would bother me, too, and I don't recall Penny doing that.

Yes, we had lovely RAIN! Rain! Can you believe it! I was having a quasi-Me Day, enjoying the rain. But when I went into the kitchen to make some lunch I heard a drip, drip, drip. And what was an empty pot sitting on top of the stove now held water. Not again! This is the FIFTH time the roof has leaked since I've lived here and the THIRD time in that same spot. Gawd!

I called the manager, who is quite blase about inconveniencing others. The kitchen ceiling is now wet and part of it will have to come down. This isn't the first time. If it were me who managed the building I'd feel quite apologetic. Not her.

The sun is trying to come out now and I hope the rain is over for now -- at least until the roof gets fixed.

Novelty songs can be great fun. My favorite version of Monster Mash.  (I've posted it before, but it's worth repeating.)

I'm mentally fatigued, but very pleased at the moment.

That's fantastic, Larry!!

I saw that Mike O’Malley co-wrote the book for Escape to Margaritaville. Is that Kerry’s brother?

I'm now about a third through State of Terror, and it's a good thriller. I don'y know which author - Clinton or Penny - is behind the writing style of strings of short 2- to 4-word incomplete sentences, but I can't say I like it much. I find it annoying.

The pairing of Clinton and Penny surprised me. I stopped reading Louise Penny's books because life is just too perfect in them--except, of course, that someone is murdered. The murder is solved, then perfection returns. A lot of incomplete sentences would bother me, too, and I don't recall Penny doing that.

I think Penny writes beautifully and uses complete sentences.

Back from an excellent first rehearsal. I blocked the entire reading in two-and-a-half hours and it's going to work really well. I came in knowing how I wanted the stage to be, in terms of where the chairs live - there are five playing areas. I didn't want entrances and exits, nor did I want the cast all sitting in chairs facing the audience. So, there are two chairs in each playing area, and another two chairs behind them facing upstage, so no one leaves the stage but they're not part of it once they're seated in the back chairs. That works great.

With my co-worker on vacation and not coming back until Thursday, I had some invoicing to do that I didn't have time to do, so I asked my new supervisor if I could stay (she was training with her predecessor, so they were both there tonight, and I wouldn't be there alone) and she said that I could, so I did.

I got done what had to be done on the specific computer system that I use (not on the Internet), but I wanted to finish the report at home (which would not take too long, but longer than I was given permission to stay for), but I left my thumb drive at work, so I'll have to do it tomorrow, anyway. :P

There is an ambulance outside our building.  I do not know, but can guess, which unit it is visiting.

Don’t sweat it, unless you spot a hearse sitting outside your door.
