Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Bonded, and now it is time for you to post until the Bonded cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: RAVENOUS!
-
Thank you, Bruce. I was so confused when I started watching THE BAT, and it was in color. It looked great, but I was befuddled.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well, but I will be happy when the time change comes and I can get back to my old schedule.
-
DR Jeanne, was The Bat the Agnes Morehead film? I loved that as a kid. When I was working on my master's degree, I wanted to write my thesis on the mystery and horror plays that played on Broadway in the early 20th century: The Bat, The Cat and the Canary, The Ghost Train, The Gorilla, Dracula. and others.
-
Good morning, all.
-

-
I preferred the black-and-white version
-
Good morning, all.
-
I enjoyed my li'l evening with The Bride of Frankenstein at the theater last night, but the single greatest horror aspect of it all was the drive there and back. The nor'easter was still dumping water on us after 24 solid hours, and oddly enough, the tail end of rush hour traffic wasn't bad, and the main roads I was on were fine...but it was irritating beyond measure. I've said before that driving in the rain at night is my second-to-least favorite kind of driving (the winner, of course, would be snow or any kind of icy precip), and by gum I'll say it again.

DR Elmore, unless I missed something earlier, I believe it was TCB who was talking about seeing The Bat.
-
Well, I have little - or nothing - to say for myself this morning.
I'm back at rehearsal tonight. ALERT THE MEDIA.
I've also decided to spend two hours this morning in front of my DVR catching up on the last two episodes of La Brea.
-
Normally, I don't watch anything during the day. The major exception is when I'm happily bingeing on something, or just doing ketchup like now.
-
Good morning.
-
Good morning!
-
Busy morning with project emails. Yesterday esd bumpy, to say the least, but I think it's growing pains. I was much happier last night than at any time during the day.

No, you are correct. I screwed up this morning. Sincere apologies to DRs Jeanne and TCB.

Much going on here.....rehearsal vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.
-
Rights for our production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF in June have been denied because of the touring production.....so instead we will do OLIVER!
There you are.....I don't mind, but I like FIDDLER a bit more....oh well.
-
My cousin Carol and I have made plans for a Wednesday lunch at O'Charley's on November 3. It will be our first outing since the COVID began.
I asked her to drive to my house and I will take her for a spin in SMARTY because she has never driven or ridden in such a vehicle.
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
If you could interview ANYBODY today about ANYTHING and get TRUTHFUL answers - who would you talk to?
-
I translated Nutella to "crema di nocciole".
-
Nocciole is the Italian word for hazelnuts.
-
So DR George, if I substituted the nuts in the recipe it would no longer be Nutella ;)
-
That's ok cuz right now I am too sick (refluxing) to eat any chocolate, either sick from the excessive amount of chocolate I ate yesterday or Keith & I picked up a bug on our trip.
-
So far we are both better today than we were yesterday.
-
DR George I hope your nice phone case arrives this time.

Good Morning. Seems like Wednesday is the only day I can get here to post. I'll work harder on that. Anyway - it's just one thing after another in these parts . I finished the run of ....Spelling Bee and that was fun, and I get to do it again in a few weeks. Gigs are starting to come in again and that is a lot of fun. DD Leo and I have been bonding, he's a great loyal dog. He only has his Papa now to look after and he's doing a good job.

Page Two
-
Bonding vibes for DR MATTHEW & Leo.
-
Feel better vibes for DR JANE.
-
Desylva Brown & Henderson II and Cole Porter IV were in my mailbox today.
-
....along with my electric bill which I wasn't as happy to see.
-
DR Matthew, it's nice to have you back and hear your good news about Leo. I want to thank again for coming through with that scan of "You Will Be Found!"
-
God, I do hate the Catholic Church, a lot of closeted gay men running around in dresses and making life miserable with their hypocrisy.

Good afternoon, friends.
-
Enjoyed catching up on La Brea and deleting it from the DVR.
I was in the mood for more, and I had time, so I watched The Long, Long Trailer which I'd DVR'd from TCM last week. I hadn't seen it in many years. Enjoyed it, deleted it.
Also went through and sampled a couple of other things I'd recorded, and decided I didn't really need to watch them, so...
Pffft. All gone.
-
Now if only the rest of my life was as organized as my DVR watching and cleaning.
-
Wednesday afternoon greetings! Today I tried a new (to me) recipe for Iron Skillet Apple Pie. It just came out of the oven and do you want to know the best part?
I CAN SMELL IT!!!

Even if just on Wednesdays, it is nice to catch up with you. It is sweet you and DD Leo are bonding more.

Feel better vibes for DR JANE.
Thanks. Going to the gym helped.

YAY! I didn't realize you still couldn't smell. Has your ability to taste it completely returned?

DR Jane, my senses of taste and smell are coming back, but are not as acute as I’d like.

My question for ASK BK DAY:
If you could interview ANYBODY today about ANYTHING and get TRUTHFUL answers - who would you talk to?
The former president, but that would never happen, would it - I mean the telling the truth part :)
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight and a half hours of sleep. Could have used more, but dealing with a stupid screw-up on the part of the helper and trying to figure out exactly how it happened and and if it involves more than one person.

I just got off with my insurance company and found out why my prescription for eye drops went up to 400 plus dollars. OUCH. I didn't walk away with them. I think I can wait until the first of the year when the price drops again.

There’s a San Antonian in the cast of La Brea. Can’t remember his name.

Too wonderful. You might like the aroma of the tomato pumpkin soup I’m making. Hillary’s house smells of fresh ginger, cinnamon, allspice and onion.

That sounds delicious, DR John G!
-
Good nose news from DR GINNY!
-
DR JOHN G the San Antonio Spurs drafted Luka Garza who played for Iowa last year.....I watched a couple of the preview programs on ESPN and his name was not even mentioned although I caught a couple of glances of him in the videos.....they were mostly excited about new players who do not have even half of the accomplishments of Garza.
And I don't see any Spurs games coming up on my broadcast/cable systems.....so I don't even know if they are letting him play....strange....

You know what they say....
Nose news is good news!

;D Considering I shouldn't be eating chocolate and I don't think I would like the taste all that much better with a different nut, I'm good ;)

HA! I am boosted. I was just looking around the Walgreen's site and they had a 7 p.m. slot open.....it was 6:35 p.m. and I only live ten minutes away, so I grabbed it.
Took the Smarty and drove right over. So I am happy to be FULLY Moderna-ized.

Congrats. Vibes your side effects are mild.

Well, the Iron Skillet Apple Pie is good, but too sweet. Next time, I’ll reduce the amount of brown sugar on the bottom and white sugar on the top.
-
DR John are you enjoying The Lincoln Highway? It just became available for me to read, however, I already have 3 other books checked out and am wondering if I should delay reading it for now.
-
Sankofa by Chibundu Onuzo is also available. Has anyone read it?

I’m also reading The Lincoln Highway - about 150 pages in.

What do you think so far?

UGH - I hate reading stories like this. In case anyone didn't know, I make my living working in a Catholic School and for the Catholic Church. It's no secret about my sexual orientation and I guess I'm lucky it hasn't become an issue. Then again, you'd never know if you didn't know me. The Catholic Church needs to back off because if they keep firing people because of their sexual orientation, there won't be anyone left - especially in music. If our dear Pope heard about this, there would be hell to pay. However, he is outspoken by the people under him who actually make the decisions and the speeches. That's all I'm saying about THAT.

It’s okay. Not another Gentleman in Moscow. And there are some anachronisms that are irritating. But I will finish.

Nope.

Don’t know. But I will keep an eye out for him.

More bonding vibes for Matthew and Leo.
-
We watched John Wick. It was surprisingly fun. I’ll watch the sequels.
-
Very violent.
-
I may take a break from The Lincoln Highway. David Sedaris’s Carnival of Snackery came in. I’m ushering for his reading Saturday, so it would be nice to get started on it before his appearance.
-
I need something really light. The Zola is so depressing I can’t take more than 30 pages at a time.
-
Can we get off this page?
-
Sometime soon?
-
It seems to long, as Mabel sang.
-
A W.S. Gilbert reference.
-
Four!

Had Taco Bell for lunch.
-
I shall now be on my way to the theater and this evening's rehearsal.

My copies arrived today, too!
And mine, as well!
-
Good night, friends.
-
Gratuitous post No. 99!
-
Went to a wildlife refuge today. This is a caracara.
-
This is a moocher with fascinating claws.
-
I don’t know what happened there. Mine is in focus.
-
And this is Moby (short for Monster Baby), a barred owl.
-
Good night, all.
-
Amazing. I leave for rehearsal at six-twenty and I come home at ten-thirty and we've had five postings.
-
Amazing!

David Sedaris is coming back to the Washington Center next year. I will confess that I've never read any of his stuff. ::)

Wow...those claws are pretty fascinating!

Tonight, I ushered for Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical (https://harlequinproductions.org/show/tenderly-the-rosemary-clooney-musical/).
-
It's a two-person show...one actress plays Rosemary, and the actor plays her therapist and all the other characters throughout her life.
-
There was also a piano, bass and drums combo accompanying all the songs.
-
It was really well done.
-
The actress was a good actress, but she seemed more like an actress who could sing, rather than a singer who could act...in other words, she acted the songs very well. ::)
-
Let me say that she was not bad at all!
-
But she had a very different kind of voice that Rosemary's.
-
They're doing three shows in rep...this, Lady Day At Emerson’s Bar And Grill, and then Until The Flood will start in on the rotation on November 5th.
-
I'm ushering for Lady Day... on Saturday.
-
Good evening!
-
One more post to go.
-
P a g e f i v e !
-
These stupid people in Seattle are calling up the restaurants where they have been asked to prove they are vaccinated. They are calling with threats and nasty words.
-
All the restaurants, bars, theaters, and gyms are required to ask for this information or they can be fined or closed.
-
Not just Seattle, but all of King County.
-
HA! I am boosted. I was just looking around the Walgreen's site and they had a 7 p.m. slot open.....it was 6:35 p.m. and I only live ten minutes away, so I grabbed it.

Did I forget to mention that I got my booster shot yesterday.

And, at the same time, I had an older lady trying to pick me up!!

Her name was Doreen and her husband passed eight years ago.

WTH?? :o

I am sorry Jeanne wasn’t here today. I wanted to know if I enjoyed THE BAT last night.
(Just kidding, Lar.)

Good for you, Tom...you still got it! ;D
-
I cannot believe how many horror films are made.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Amazon Prime must have over 100 to 200 Halloween horror films ready to stream
-
Listening to some weird Webern music.
-
It's weird and Webern at the same time.
-
I must check out Prime and see what's been added in the last two weeks.
-
I simply must.
-
It's simply done, you see.

And, at the same time, I had an older lady trying to pick me up!!

Yeah, great. I can’t get any man to look twice.

I have the same problem. :P

Swiss cheese.
-
English muffins.
-
Greek olives.
-
Is anyone here watching THE BIG LEAP? There commercials make it look interesting.
