Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a wonderful world and fried, and now it is time for you to post until the fried cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: LARGESSE!
-
I'm home. We had a great audience last night. They loved everything and laughed more than any other audience.
-
The cast party after the show was fun. One of the actresses in the show works at Olive Garden, so she was able to bring a whole pasta bar! I had a bit of the meat sauce and alfredo on spaghetti with meatballs. The food was all quite good. Otherwise, we all just sat or stood around and chatted...a good time was had by all.
-
Today is our matinee/final performance, then strike. It was a good run. :)
-
I'm going back to my mom's after strike, then my sister's...then home and my weekend will be over.. finally!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I am up early because I'm subbing at a church this morning. From there I'll be going to see a matinee of A Little Night Music that friends are playing in. In between, I shall dine at a diner I haven't been to in years, which could be nice, one never knows.
And that's my day. A tour of the Lower Hudson Valley.
-
Happy book signing for BK and Sunday vibes for all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
BK, I remain puzzled: the Group Rep is not a professional company but essentially a community theater?
-
I could not rouse myself this morning. The alarm rang at 5:45. I turned off the alarm and went back to bed. I got up at 6:10 and dressed. The I went back to bed and Annabelle joined me. Thirty minutes later I got out of bed, fed the cats, and put the coffee on.
-
I have no plans today. I hope that Rob Berman will stop by to pick up a score, but when I tried to call him yesterday to confirm, his voice mail was full.
-
DR Laura, I'm happy you liked Tootsie!
-
Good morning, all.
-
DR Laura, I'm happy you liked Tootsie!
So am I.
-
I hope I remember later I’m supposed to usher for An Officer and a Gentleman: The Musical.
-
Happy Sunday everyone....there's a brand new Broadway Radio Show now up on the site. Tony Award nominee MELISSA ERRICO joins me to chat about her amazing new album, Out Of The Dark: The Film Noir Project. It's a great conversation about music and classic Hollywood films and you'll hear tracks from the album, which is one of the year's best! Enjoy!!!

Good morning, friends.
-
Thank you, DR Donald.
-
Happy first day of Spring, everyone!
-
From the Guy Haines family album:
-
And a wonderful Sunday morning to each of you.
I am moments away from leaving for church, but I wanted you all to know that I showered, shaved, brushed and spiffed myself up today.
No flies, fleas, feathers on me!
-
I wonder if DRElmo ever has this problem:
-
TTFN.
Everyone be good today!

Signing and technical vibes for MR BK.
-
Closing day vibes for DR GEORGE & Co.
-
Enjoy the day vibes for DR RON PULLIAM & DR CHAS SMITH.....
We are having great weather here today.
-
DR TCB I saw the Gonzaga game and it was indeed exciting.
There are some players on some teams and several coaches whose antics annoy me.....
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.

Back from church. Stopped at 3rd Generation for lunch: Fried Chicken, Turnip Green and Rice & Gravy. Yum.
-
Good morning.
-
It's been spring here for quite some time.

Me too!.
That critic hates everything at Gammage, but as I said their sound system is terrible.
I saw Wicked in San Diego and understood every word. I was totally lost the first time I saw it at Gammage. I couldn't understand anything they said or sang.
-
It's the first day of spring! And here's a Rodgers & Hart song that few know:

I keep telling Keith I want to winter there.

Closing day vibes for DR GEORGE & Co.
Thanks, Jrand!
-
I would not want to see catfish (fried or otherwise) in Cinerama. That is one ugly fish (and I prefer cod or halibut, taste-wise)!
-
Something big must be happening on the Hill (South Hill that is). There are lots of sirens going by.
-
DR TCB, sorry I missed you! We are time zones apart.
-
I'm having a weird but tasty dinner. I pulled two cans on the way to the kitchen: southwestern corn with portatoes and peppers and hominy. It was only after I started cooking them, I realized hominy is corn. It's quite tasty.
-
After all of this hoopla over Dolly Parton's nomination / withdrawal /non-withdrawal from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it will be embarrassing if she is now not elected.
-
DR TCB, sorry I missed you! We are time zones apart.
I am still here.
-
Hominy is to corn like soylent green is to people.

I love corn, but I am not crazy about hominy.
-
I am still here.
You and Sondheim, both!
-
Hi Ron! Hi Slowpoke!
-
DR TCB, sorry I missed you! We are time zones apart.
I am still here.
Hello, Tom!
-
I am here during the day, because I have to be in bed early tonight, so no late-night posting.
-
So, I hope George will be here for the late shift tonight.
-
Gee, it is a lot easier to post here using my PC, than it is at night on my iPad.
-
I wonder if I could install my PC next to my bed?
-
:)
-
It is a beautiful afternoon here, and I think pretty soon we're going to get out walking.
-
After a delicious nap.
-
Last post on page two!
-
I am seeing some good reports about Kevin Put's opera, The Hours. Full concert version this weekend; fully-staged version from the Met soon to come.
-
Finally, page THREE!!!
-
Page Three
-
You deserve the credit on that one, DR TCB.
-
Page Three
Damn! I'm late.
-
Are we still on page three?
-
You deserve the credit on that one, DR TCB.
I thought you were napping.
-
We could just post nonsense for a few pages.
-
Oh wait. That's what I usually do.
-
I think I would find posting here from a tablet unwieldy.
-
But then, if you're used to posting from a cellphone, a tablet would feel expansive.
-
So I guess it's all relative.
-
Ron, have you been following the story about the South Carolina boater who shot the jet skier after he rescued him?
-
We just found out my DH's younger brother is going to have to have open heart surgery.
-
We could just post nonsense for a few pages.
That is what all of my posts end up being.
-
It's a condition he's been living with for a long time, but apparently they decided that now was the time.
-
We just found out my DH's younger brother is going to have to have open heart surgery.
Oh no! My prayers and thoughts to him.
-
That is what all of my posts end up being.
Surely not ALL, DR TCB. ;)
-
Thank you, DR TCB.
-
Dale (the guy needing the surgery) and I are just 1 week apart in age.
-
I have SOOOO many campaign donations clogging up my email inbox right now!
-
Dale (the guy needing the surgery) and I are just 1 week apart in age.
Sooooo, your husband is an older man?
-
It's true, DR TCB.
-
In fact, we just had to go through the whole Medicare research project. That's another thing that jams up your inbox. Your physical mailbox.
-
We ended up deciding to leave him covered through my job. He's not penalized, and it was just easier for now.
-
I have to work for at least 7 more years.
-
Heck, I'll probably never be able to afford to retire.
-
But at least my tales of woe have gotten us closer to four.
-
Thanks for listening, DR TCB!
-
It seems that we really are about to go walking.
-
But first, PAGE FOUR!
-
Take care, DR TCB.
-
Have a safe walk.
-
Take care, DR TCB.
You, too!
-
Hominy is to corn like soylent green is to people.
;D
-
I have, apparently, successfully driven everyone else away.
-
So, I hope George will be here for the late shift tonight.
Me, too! ;)
-
Hominy is to corn like soylent green is to people.
;D
Yeah, and hominy tastes like people.
-
Gee, it is a lot easier to post here using my PC, than it is at night on my iPad.
I know! I'm on my phone at the theater (10 to places!) and it's always a bit awkward...doable, but awkward.
-
So, I hope George will be here for the late shift tonight.
Me, too! ;)
Is there any reason you wouldn't be here tonight?
-
I wonder if I could install my PC next to my bed?
My sister's boyfriend was able to install a rig of some kind in his apartment that suspends his TV/monitor from his bedroom ceiling! :o

What is this word, "retire"?
-
And we're holding...for about 30 people! ::)

...who just haven't arrived yet.
-
That was quick...we're now at one to places!
-
And we're off!

Ron, have you been following the story about the South Carolina boater who shot the jet skier after he rescued him?
I have read the story. It is most convoluted. A claim of self-defense has been made and someone decided it will not go to trial, but that remains to be seen.
The jet skier was in the water and was rescued, along with a woman, by a man and woman on a pontoon. He then acted weird because he wanted to get back on his jet ski. He somehow ended back up in the water, and was then pulled back onto the rescuing pontoon where he was then shot dead by the pontoon owner who said he feared for his safety.
Details about the event are not clear.

DR ELMORE the first time I heard that song was in 1980 when we did Rodgers & Hart: A Celebration.
I was the choreographer and the director wanted some dancers behind the singer.....I did it, but it was not necessary.
It was also the first time I heard "It Never Entered My Mind" which immediately became one of my TOP FIVE R/H songs. I decided to stand my ground on that and let the singer do a park & bark.
-
After all of this hoopla over Dolly Parton's nomination / withdrawal /non-withdrawal from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it will be embarrassing if she is now not elected.
I didn't realize she is now back in. I understand why she felt she didn't qualify and has since been shown the list of other country singers that have been honored.
-
When Bryan was doing his residency in Cleveland we went to the Hall of Fame. It was very interesting.
-
Gee, it is a lot easier to post here using my PC, than it is at night on my iPad.
Why I have basically stopped posting at night, especially since using my tablet messes up my shoulder.
-
Ron, have you been following the story about the South Carolina boater who shot the jet skier after he rescued him?
I saw the headline for this earlier today and didn't have time to read the story.
-
We just found out my DH's younger brother is going to have to have open heart surgery.
Soon? Sending excellent vibes!
-
I have SOOOO many campaign donations clogging up my email inbox right now!
Do you mean donations you have made or requests for donations? My box is constantly filled with requests.
-

Wow and why ;D

:))
I remember browsing water beds (never purchased one) when they became popular. One style was a four poster bet with a mirror instead of a fabric canopy. I remember having a good laugh over that.

I am on the website for The Beverlywood Bakery. According the them they are the oldest bakery in Los Angeles though I could not confirm this. The website says they opened in 1946 and have been open for 68 years ;D It seems their website needs updating.
I doubt that will be happening. The reason I went to the website is I just read the bakery will be closing :(

Back from a really fun book signing - actually not only sold books but DVD and Blu-ray, too, so that was fun. Saw several folks I know. Perused the dealer room but made not a single purchase.
-
Then I stopped by the theater long enough to see that the projectors were working and are giving a very sharp, bright image.
-
Stopped at Gelson's - tuna sandwiches was my food decision, and I'm about to eat those.

We've had two cast members test positive for Covid. I'm guessing they got it because they teach and are around kids. So much for vaccinations and boosters - doesn't seem to matter anymore. So, now everyone has to test before they come to the next rehearsal. I'm thinking of cancelling the optional Monday and waiting to Tuesday. If more people get it, then we have to reschedule the show and that's going to impact so much stuff it's not even funny.
-
I called the Beverlywood Bakery to confirm the rumor they are closing. They are not, and wanted to know why people are asking if they are closing. I told him to post on Facebook that they are not closing.

Yes, the whole thing sounds weird. I read that the jet ski was still going around in circles, and that is why the guy wanted to go back. I don't know, none of my business.

Good afternoon.
-
Vibes to Singdaw's BIL.
-
This sweet little girl was born in a bomb shelter while bombs were blasting. Her name is Ukrania.
-
She is a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy who will be going, with her family, to Germany. Many Bernese Mountain Dog breeders are being helped by the BMD community in other countries.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Mega vibes to Dale.
-
I agree with TCB that catfish are really ugly fish!
-
No, I would not noodle for a catfish. Or any fish.
-
But I will tell you my catfish story.
Many years ago when I was in Florida working at the Kennedy Space Center, two of my male coworkers (I was one of few females) asked if I wanted to go fishing at lunchtime. I looked at them suspiciously. They laughed and said I'd like it. It turns out that they knew of a little run-down shack on a creek that served fried catfish. It looked pretty unappealing, but the food was decent. I'm not sure I'd go there again, even if it's still around, but it was fun at the time.
-
Our local Growers Market opened this weekend. Since I wanted to go buy flowers today, and it wasn't raining yet we made it part of our walk today.
-
First we drove part way there and left the car in a little parking lot overlooking the river. We then crossed the street and took a nice path, called the Vancouver Land Bridge, to Fort Vancouver.
-
After walking around the fort for awhile we crossed over the freeway into downtown Vancouver and over to the market. After walking around a bit and purchasing my flowers, we walked over to the river again and then to where we had parked our car.
-
It was a nice change of pace, and fun to do a loop instead of backtracking the way we came. In total we walked about three miles.
-
Hi Jeanne.
-
How are you feeling?
-
Keith's is calling. We are going to watch something.
-
'night

Hi, Jane. I'm getting stronger, thanks.
-
Vibes for the week ahead.
TTFN.
-
Thanks for all the vibes! DR Jane, we don't have a timeline yet. We'll know more after tomorrow.
-
The walk was incredible - so glad we went. It was warm and breezy. The perfect antidote to winter.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Thanks for all the vibes! DR Jane, we don't have a timeline yet. We'll know more after tomorrow.
Is he as nice looking as his brother?
-
Back from An Officer and a Gentleman: The Musical. Wow. So much effort for not much return.
-
The world was not clamoring for this show. We had about 700, and many were comped.
-
Several ‘80s and ‘90s hits shoehorned into dramatic spots earned chuckles from the audience.
-
They managed to make some of it plotwise a little more palatable than the movie. The secondary plot is now about an interracial couple.
-
Waiting for storms to come in. I hope I can sleep through the night.
-
Good night, all.
-
I watched Lasse Halstrom's "A Dog's Purpose" tonight.
I was skeptical about whether I'd like it.
It was a boo-hoo fest, for sure. Good movie.
-
Waiting for storms to come in. I hope I can sleep through the night.
May the rains lull you to sleep and enhance your dreams.
-
A lot of folks on the West Coast seem to have given up the ghost early tonight.
Oh, well. It's moving on toward 1 a.m. here, and I am wondering when the sandman is going to make his move. I am usually in bed by now.
Pleasant dreams to all.
-
Back from An Officer and a Gentleman: The Musical. Wow. So much effort for not much return.
I'd heard something like that. ::)
-
I'm home.
-
After strike (which didn't even take a whole hour), I went to my mom's and we played cards.
-
We played four games of Phase 10, and we each won two.
-
I, of course, had to do all the shuffling, so my hands were tired by the time we finished.
-
But now, I'm here. :)
-
And since we're so close...
-
...let's hie ourselves to...
