Well, you've read the notes, the notes were on both the right and left side, and now it is time for you to post until the right and left side cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: JOCULAR!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I had a very poor night of sleep, so I'm curious to see if I actually accomplish anything today.
-
Yesterday I managed to lose my desktop 2022 calendar. I am completely gobsmacked that after numerous computer searches for "2022 calendar" the computer cannot locate it.
-
It all began when my radiologists's office called to change my appointment from today at 2:30 to tmorrow at 11:00. I had opened the calendar yesterday morning when I added the Access-a-Ride info to the date. So, I went to change the calendar and found it was no longer there!
-
DR George, I've known for some time that Rob was leaving Encores! It's their loss. Given the first two shows this year under a new producer, I don't know how much longer Encores! will be around. I wish it a long life.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I look forward to hearing what's next for Rob Berman. I'd be tempted to go to Into the Woods just to hear it conducted by him, but that time period will be tough for me.
-
Projection, lighting, and all other kinds of vibes for BK & Co. tonight!
-
Today I am back to the land of stepsisters.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning to everyone. I hope you have a great day.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Caught up on last night's posts. Now, to read today's Notes.

Preview, projection, and NON-pink vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
I got a message on FaceBook yesterday on one of the theeder's pages.....a lady wants to order SIX season tickets, so I took her address to send her a brochure.
-
Congrats to DR VIXMOM on her millstone.
-
I do not understand rehearsals at peoples' homes. It is mentioned here on HHW, and I am agog!
-
Then I realized that I have a pee-nanny at my house and some chairs, so I could have a rehearsal here if I wanted to.
In fact we may have ALL of the JOSEPH rehearsals here. It will save me a lot of driving time.
-
Mozart - did he write any songs for The Beatles?
-
No.
-
Happy Thursday morning, everyone.
-
I had a wonderful night's sleep.
There was a phantom doorbell, though. A very loud "ding-dong" around 7:45 a.m. that made me believe someone was seeking my attention.
I got out of bed and went to both doors -- front and garage -- where I have doorbells.
Nary a sign, hide, nor hair of anyone.
The phantom doorbell continues to mystify me.
-
I have zero plans for today, and that rather excites me for some reason.
There are "possibilities" that I haven't embraced, I guess.
Yesterday, I did drive to Sam's Club in Aiken. I found what I needed, and a few more items I realized I wanted, and came home.
I had a lot of packages in yesterday's mail, including some Warner Archives discs.
I have been reading that folks are getting the Kritzerland releases announced in January.
I have not seen mine yet.
-
It is a dark, rainy day here in Johnston SC today.
The rain is heavy, and the winds are blowing. I think it started during the early morning as I awoke to the sounds of rain on my windows.
Great sleeping weather.

Today's Wordle: Oof.
Got it on the final try.

This day is flying by like a gazelle balancing on a seesaw with a lighted sparkler in each hoof.
Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobble stones
Looking for fun and feelin' groovy

Today's Wordle: Oof.
Got it on the final try.
Took me four tries. Not my favorite word

Blood test done. Didn’t like the tech who drew blood. It was a bruising feeling when there was a switch in vials.
-
My head is spinning with orchestra fees per day (2 sessions):
Concert master: 450 euros
Non-doubling player: 300 euros
Reeds doubling one instrument: 360 euros
Reeds doubling two instruments: 420 euros
-
Mozart
Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
Twelve Variations on "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman" for piano
Le Nozze di Figaro
Don Giovanni
Der Zauberflote
La Clemenza di Tito
-
TOD:
Die Zauberflöte

Blood test done. Didn’t like the tech who drew blood. It was a bruising feeling when there was a switch in vials.
Hmm, was the tech young? I wonder if covid created a shortage of good techs.

No younger than any of the rest. And I was done within 5 minues. So that was a plus.

Sounds like double ditto!

Well, the theater is being used, so we have to go somewhere. And since we're still only learning music, we don't have to worry about being in a space that has the set laid out on the floor.

What was a horribly stormy day has cleared into a beautiful sunny day!!! It's amazing.
-
I went out to get mail, but thought I'd go to TJ's Market in town to get some bread.
As I was crossing the road, I saw that my mechanic's shop was devoid of customers, so I stopped and got my car serviced. Quite fortuitous.
That said, the storm intensified, and the rain began coming down in barrels.
Then I went to get my mail.
-
I have begun watching the first season of "Smallville" on Hulu.
I watched the entire series when it was aired, and it has been many years since I had seen an episode.
It was well done, but the first season's episodes all follow a similar path: Because of a meteor shower (the one that brought Kal-El to Smallville in a meteor shower), all meteor rocks that fell on Smallville have been having negative effects on various members of the town, mostly teenagers.
Oh, well.
-
It ain’t Mozart, but Everlasting Love is the earworm affecting me most since watching Belfast.
-
DR elmore3003, I thought of you immediately....
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
Awoke to a text from the sound guy, who was finally supposed to be there for the whole show tonight, saying another gig he was doing during the day pushed their start time to evening and now he can't be with us at all. I've really had it. Oh, but for sure, really, he means it, he'll be with us for tomorrow night.
-
Wow.
-
Suppertime...
-
I have another message board to visit so I won't be here the rest of the day - but I'll be here tomorrow.
-
Both of my remotes are NOT working with the cable box - when I try to use the guide on either of them - the cable box is disconnected from the tv.
The Comcast one is a couple of decades old, but I am surprised the Dollar Twenty Five Tree one gave up after only about four months.
-
TOD:
Don Giovanni - which I stole from DR ELMORE's list.
DR ELMORE at those prices I would expect a happy ending.
-
Preview vibes for MR BK & Co AGAIN!
-
I honestly don't know how anyone could be expected to do a show under those conditions.
-
There hasn't been a single day without high drama.
-
And not the good kind.
-
THREE!!!
-
Unbelievable drama. Truly.
-
I'm going to learn three (3) reeds, posthaste, so I can play in DR Elmore's orchestra.
-
This day feels like a Friday. I am confused.
-
This day feels like a Friday. I am confused.
It did - and still does - here, too. My reason for it has to do with how these rehearsals were timed. Not much of a reason, but it's all I got.
-
Wow.
Yup. Just...wow. :o
-
Suppertime...

So, today...
Christopher Walken turns 79,
William Daniels turns 95,
Shirley Jones turns 88,
Richard Chamberlain turns 88,
Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Josef Haydn turn ... well who the hell knows, really ...
Herb Alpert turns 87, and
Al Gore turns 74.
-
Doug is now finally saying we should hire a professional to do the rest of the run - if we can find someone to do Saturday night, which has all the makings of a complete fiasco, that would be great, then we could book someone and a backup person before next week's shows.
-

Groan, and I am sorry.

William Daniels turns 95, wow.

:)
-
Cute :)

I'm fading.

As they say.
-
They is right.
-
And so I bid you good night, friends.

'night

Starting a movie called The Hidden Room, aka Obsession. Robert Newton plays a cuckolded psychiatrist who catches his wife and her lover. All sorts of fun noirish stuff ensue.
Edward Dmytryk directs and Nino Rota composed the wonderful score.
-
Dance class was fun tonight. Last class of the session.
-
Several people who had never danced before made it through a full song with a partner and really enjoyed themselves.
-
That's always fun with newcomers. They've come a long way in four weeks without realizing it.
-
Been listening to Stephen King and Richard Chizmar's Gwendy's Final Task. It's interesting because it's supposedly the third in a trilogy, but so much of the second volume -- written by Chizmer only -- is contradicted in this third volume. But's it's lightly enjoyable. When it ends in a day or two, I will likely forget it quickly.
-
I do enjoy the anti-Trump political streak of the novel. And it does bring the pandemic into the picture.
-
Hello, 1 guest!
-
What's your favorite recent Stephen King novel?
-
Onward!
-
Four!
-
At least we got on to another page.
-
I hope BK's production problems are behind him.
-
I really wish I could get to LA to see the show.
-
And to get to know a little bit of the city.
-
One of these days.
-
The trip to Wyoming will be in the opposite direction. Few people, lots of scenery.
-
The trip to Greece also will be to few people since it's at the end of tourist season.
-
I'm also going to Louisville around the time of Mom's 95th birthday.
-
Gratuitous post 99!
-
The trip to Greece also will be to few people since it's at the end of tourist season.
I love Greece!!
-
Greece is the word!
-
It's a bit earlier than my usual bedtime, but I am rather tired right now and it's only 7 minutes until 11 p.m. here.
-
Well, rehearsal is done and I stopped at the Centralia Burgerville (https://www.burgerville.com/) for a Colossal Burger.
-
This was here since before I was going to Centralia College back in the '80s, but I never went here before now.
-
The burgers pretty good...but not really worth $5.79.
-
I'm eating in the restaurant because I didn't know if their burgers could be eaten while driving.
-
Wll, I found out that they can be, but I just need to be prepared for a drippy burger, which isn't a problem...now that I know.
-
As for how the rehearsal went...it went.
-
::)
-
I found out that a couple of the women and a couple of the men can neither count nor sing in tune (at least in the rehearsals, so far). :-\
-
I'm sure that as rehearsals progress and everyone learns and becomes more comfortable with everything that everyone will improve, even me.
-
Some of my lines are a little high, and since I haven't sung in a show in several years, my voice isn't as strong as it needs to be (yet), but at least I can count and sing the right notes. ;)
-
Now, if we just had more people in the cast.
-
The director announced tonight that the last two named characters have been cast.
-
But I'm enjoying the process (I always do) and the people are nice, so I'm not hating it. :)
-
And now, it's time to head home.
-
No rehearsal until Monday, when we have to be tested for Covid again.
-
They're going to test us every Monday, and we're wearing masks the whole time.
-
I found out that a couple of the women and a couple of the men can neither count nor sing in tune (at least in the rehearsals, so far). :-\
You are picky.
-
Five!
-
I have to take a covid test before I go back to work on Monday. I'm going to take it this weekend.
-
The Hidden Room was excellent. The ending wasn't quite the way I thought it was going to work. The Brits weren't working under the Hays Code, so even the adultery was a little different.
-
And now, since we're so close...
-
Starting House of Gucci. Already, a few minutes into it, I'm not able to take it seriously. But I think it will be fun.
-
Darn...I was about to post a PAGE FIVE BURGERVILLE DANCE!! So I shall:

Hi, John. :)
-
And NOW, I'm off.
-
And now, I'm BACK!
-
Hey thanks for noticing I hit a new plateau, George, I entirely missed it
-
I seem to have pinched a nerve in my back somewhere , my whole left side is numb
-
Of course it’s 2am so not a heck of a lot I can do about it
-
Blood test done. Didn’t like the tech who drew blood. It was a bruising feeling when there was a switch in vials.

Who are you calling young?
-
BK, I think you are going to need a nice quiet vacation when this show is over.
-
Two Olympia police officers were stabbed this evening.
-
The trip to Greece also will be to few people since it's at the end of tourist season.
I love Greece!!
Greece is the word.

You're very welcome, Vixmom. :)

Sorry Ron, I should have read ahead.

Oh, no! Hopefully, you feel better quickly!!

What?? :o
-
The burgers pretty good...but not really worth $5.79.
Which you can charge when you are next to the freeway.
-
Back from our second preview. Happy to say that the cast really stepped up to the plate and all the little notes I've been giving are now addressed. We had a great audience of around forty, big laughs, hefty mitts for all the numbers, and all but a couple of the lighting issues are solved. The gal doing the sound did a fantastic job of it - we have a couple of mics that are wonky but we figured out how to compensate and get more volume. The projections still aren't right - I mean, they worked, so that was good, but when they swapped out the cables for the computers, the images got switched so the left wall is on the right and vice versa. That will get fixed before the show tomorrow. But it moved beautifully, well more in the notes.

Definitely...and you've been there for years.

Do you mean Kris Garrett? No, she's not, but Rich (her husband, for those who don't know them ;) ) is playing Harry...the role that Colin Firth played in the movie.
-
And now, since we're so close...
Close to what?
I took too long to find a picture for my Page Five Dance, and John got some posts in between my posts. ::)
-
I agree with Ron concerning DEATH ON THE NILE. I am certainly glad that I have done 1 1/2 productions of MURDER ON THE NILE, so I could keep track of what was happening. And did we really need the opening ten minutes, subtitled HOW HERCULE GOT HIS MOUSTACHE,
-
I also watched FLEE. A very interesting film; and a recordsetter. The only film ever to be a triple nominee for Best Animated Featured Film, Best Documentary, and Best International Feature Film.

Page six!

I thought Rich was directing?
When it was supposed to happen two years ago, he was going to direct. I don't know why, but he's not now. He is in it, though, so I think something came up that and he might've felt that directing would've been too much right now.
-
Just a thought.
