The opening night of a tour of The Tap Dance Kid. Got to party with the cast and meet the great Harold Nicholas, who was playing the grandfather character, and Martine Allard from the Broadway cast, who blew the roof off the theater with her amazing voice.

there are times when a purely traditional, even same-old/same-old approach is best. I'm not a fan of new for newness sake.

And yet, I understand she was nice as can be. She would sit on set waiting for her cues, always ready and often knitting.

Sharry was at the Masterworks Choral Ensemble tonight and I was able to say hi and get a couple of hugs.

Post by: bk on April 03, 2022, 12:09:38 AM: Back from a really good, tight show, for a really good, small audience. I was surprised at how small it was, actually, but there were five no-shows. We have more for today's matinee, and then hopefully word of mouth will kick in because the reaction to the show, even from the small crowd, was really strong. Everyone leaves very energized and happy. We had a couple of fun celebs at the show, but more about that in the notes. Meanwhile it would be nice if there were some postings in the meantime.
