Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the big burrito, and now it is time for you to post until the big cows come home.

So, last night, we actually ran act one of Mamma Mia! and got through it without much trouble.  I still need to work on some of the choreography and some of my parts in the songs. ::)

I had a hard time waking this morning. I felt, and still feel, drugged. I had lots of strange dreams, none of which I remember except for a fragment that seemed to be 18th century and today at the same time.

Last night's revival was a bit much.

The guest pastor, as I have reported, has a loud and high voice.

Last night, he was a bit obnoxious.

I won't attend tonight's wrap-up.

A number of folks from his church in North Augusta have been attending.  I gather from their clapping and shouting during the service that they are more evangelical than traditional Baptist, although their church is a Baptist one.

It's a bit much.

I am back home for a little trip to Batesburg and its Tractor Supply Company store.

I have passed that store umpteen times, and all I ever wondered was what could be so interesting that so many people stopped and shopped.

Well, now I know, and they have tons of stuff having NOTHING to do with tractors at all.  When I am up to it, I will return and browse.

That said, I bought a tube of CBD Gel, an Absorbine Veterinary Liniment (Extra Strength).

I have made an application.  Am getting some relief!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very interesting phone calls with peculiar responses to my questions. My bank manager says the bank would be happy to set up ourt LLC account as well as our escrow account, just bring in the paperwork. My attorney, a lovely lady of indeterminate age, misread my comments and decided I was asking her to be the recording project's lawyer. To my relief, she turned me down.

My back porch furniture has been sanded and re-painted, all the trim work is done around the house, and am only waiting for all the shutters to be painted and the screening on the porch to be finished.

This has been a project, mostly overseen by my looking out of windows and laying low.  The porch man brought me a gift this morning.  He had noticed my limping and brought me an oak walking stick that he refinished.

It's a beautiful thing, too.

I saw a new ophthalmologist yesterday. I'd complained to my PCP that the surgeon he so wanted me to go to doesn't speak. All I get is a word or two in reply. An excellent surgeon, I'm sure, but I need someone I can discuss my questions and concerns with. IMO, this is a very overlooked aspect of corporate medicine. The new doctor was much more personable, answered questions, and was quite thorough. I NEVER feel I have enough time with the docs, but this was a much better experience. He doesn't have a long waiting list (one month, which I can live with) and is closer to me, so lower Uber fees. Since booking the appointment I developed a little pimple thing on my lower eyelid and he took care of that, too. I'll be interested to see the bill. I don't expect a co-pay, but he did a lot more than just a standard exam.

Getting home wasn't easy. It's a ten-minute drive. Yellow Cab quoted me a great price -- $10 -- but after 35 minutes still could not find a driver. I called Uber and got someone quickly, but for $14. The Uber driver was very personable and we chatted away. He told me that he used to do ergonomic consulting, but Covid put a stop to that: no more offices. He has a good attitude and was happy to drive for Uber until things normalize.

Ron, I'm glad you're getting at least partial relief. I have a lot of experience with pain and would recommend the following:

Drink a lot of water. (.5 oz for every pound of body weight per day -- divide your weight by 2 for the number of ounces you need)

Avoid sugar.

Stretch daily, starting with what you can do comfortably. Bob Anderson's book STRETCHING is an excellent place to start.

Get plenty of the omega-3 fish oils, either by eating fatty fish, such as salmon, or by capsules from reliable sources (Nordic Naturals, Carlson, Life Extension).

Try acupuncture.

Pay attention to good body mechanics (posture and alignment during all activities) so you're not stressing your body unnecessarily.

Purchase an infrared heating pad and use it daily.

Somehow I missed this post.  A beautiful walking stick to go with your beautiful porch.  I hope there will be photos.

Still can't quite lose the taste of that awful burrito, but tummy seems to be doing better. Part of the problem, lingering taste-wise, is that I didn't eat anything else. So, hopefully if I have something mild at lunch, that will help.

Something with a strong flavor, but easy on the stomach, might help.

Something with peppermint usually helps me.

While peppermint settles my stomach I find it can make my reflux worse.

Darn. :-\

If you're a chocolate lover try ChocZero chocolates, not as sweet as conventional chocolate, but contain NO sugar! I still thank DR George for telling me about them here.

I saw a new ophthalmologist yesterday. I'd complained to my PCP that the surgeon he so wanted me to go to doesn't speak. All I get is a word or two in reply. Ginger beer has a strong enough flavor to likely cover an unpleasant aftertaste and has enough fizz to settle a stomach.

I still haven't tried them.  I am so fussy about chocolate I fear I won't like them, and you can't just buy one in the store to try.

Thanks for the tips.  Will try some after discussing with my doctor what might be causing my distress.

But once again it can trigger reflux, which I believe Bruce has.

A perfect example of how I am too picky.

The dark chocolate almond bark looks like a possibility as well as the milk or dark chocolate squares.  Maybe the milk chocolate covered toffee almonds.

Watching Murphy’s Romance. Never saw it before. James Garner is perfect. Sally Field is somewhat irritating, but her character is supposed to be.
