The recipe on the box didn’t work, so I had to improvise a new filling (apricot-coconut instead of pudding that never set). I didn’t add any fresh banana.
The topping is crushed vanilla wafers and toasted coconut.
Vancouver [Washington] pianist suffers heart failure during concerto performance, continues playing.

I am sorry to miss it, but my hip is too unpredictable in pain levels to risk sitting in a pew. I am managing pain with applications of Absorbine Veterinary Liniment. It truly helps but cannot cure.
The opinions of some family with whom I dined last night is that my symptoms sound like sciatica. No cure for that, but it can be managed.
Won't know a thing until my appointment on May 17th which I set up Friday evening.
What if...
Richard and I had a big day Friday. We went to our county board of elections to vote in Tuesday's primary, then to Sharonville (Cincinnati 'burb) to see if one of our favorite lunch places survived the pandemic. They did, indeed, and I thoroughly enjoyed my tuna melt. From there, we found our way to a La Z Boy furniture gallery where we ordered ourselves new recliners for the family room. We MIGHT have them by Christmas...
I am afraid I am in for a few weeks of not sleeping while waiting to get the scan and finding out the results.....but that's okay.
DR ChasSmith, our last stop Friday was Graeter's. We had ice cream, of course, and I brought home 2 cinnamon squares and 2 cheese crowns. They've changed the cinnamon squares, replacing the powdered sugar with drizzled icing on top - not the same. Cheese crowns are as good as ever, but I removed most of the heavy white icing. Richard did not and wished he had.

Will you let them know you are not happy with the change? I can't think of any pastries I order that have drizzled frosting, powdered sugar yes.

Probably not, DR Jane. I rarely buy baked goods at Graeter's; I prefer to support our local shops - Central Pastry and Milton's Donuts.
Is the Dolly Parton cake line a limited edition?
I don't see any vanillin in the ingredients.

In the mood for a cookie.
I have leftover fake vanilla wafers. These aren’t made with real vanilla either.
Has anyone read The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman?
The portion of the headline I could see.
""An Illinois couple found half-eaten, 'very well-preserved' McDonald's fries...."
Full headline:
"An Illinois couple found half-eaten, 'very well-preserved' McDonald's fries from the 1950s inside a bathroom wall while renovating their home"
:))
Back from a very good show. Very elderly crowd, so very little reaction to act one, although they were clearly enjoying it - but they suddenly woke up and came alive for the wrestling match and then all of act two they were very vocal - weird. Perhaps the medication wore off :) Sandy Bainum was with us, and two people who graduated high school in my class were there.
Looking forward to Jeff Harnar's forthcoming Sondheim tribute album. Although it sounds like it may be going the way of Betty Buckley's "jazz reinvention" approach. But it's all good.
Taking my weekly covid test.
Earlier I tried to type "baked," but instead I typed "naked." I had never thought about how close they were before.
I've started watching Jockey, which is as far from early 20th century England as you can get. I think I'm only going to watch half and call it a night.
Has anyone here started reading Randy Rainbow’s book?
