Well, you've read the notes, the notes were at 121% and were a wonder of wonder, miracle of miracles, and now it is time for you to post until the 121% wonder of wonder, miracle of miracles cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ZENITH!
-
Topic of the Day: I don't really know from Baroque music. ::)
I know I've heard some, but I don't remember specific titles.
-
Good morning to everyone. Hope everyone has a fantastic week!
-
Fantastic news about indiegogo campaign
-
Remember if it isn’t baroque don’t fix it.
-
These Promises, Promises CDs go so fast it's unbelievable, really.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
THANK YOU to DR vixmom for finishing the story.
-
Due to your foreshadowing, I kept expecting to hear that once you finally had the bookcase, you emerged to find your vehicle had been towed.
-
But I am glad that it hadn't been.
-
Congratulations on the campaign, bk.
-
It's Monday and it's back to work.
-
Or the salt mines, as they say.
-
Congratulations on the Lost in Boston trio, DR vixmom. I'd of grabbed them, too, if I had seen them in time. I own them, but have no idea where they are at this exact moment.
-
TOD:
Mass in b minor (J.S. Bach)
The Passion of St. Matthew (also Bach)
The Passion of St. John (also Bach)
Goldberg Variations (also Bach)
Are you sensing a theme here?
-
Good morning, all!
-
I have been distant from the Indiegogo campaign becauise I am so broke, but I am very happy to see how well it's going.
-
DR vixmom, I'm very happy the IKEA story had a happy ending. Doers IKEA nort ship to a home or office address? I'm having that problem with a lot of Fancy Feast vendors.
-
This morning I must tackle Access-a-Ride againt for my appointment with an ENT doctor about these nasal polyps.
-
THANK YOU to DR vixmom for finishing the story.
Thank you for reading it!
-
But I am glad that it hadn't been.
That would have been the cherry on top, wouldn’t it?
-
DR vixmom, I'm very happy the IKEA story had a happy ending. Doers IKEA nort ship to a home or office address? I'm having that problem with a lot of Fancy Feast vendors.
It wasn’t available online for delivery, and it had been months since it was in stock and available at the store. IKEA seems to be suffering from the import issues I heard about on NPR, where thousands of upon thousands of cargo containers are arriving and not moving off the docks due to shortage of workers and truckers
-
Congratulations to BK on the success of the campaign!
-
Today is my moms 90th birthday!

We’re going here for dinner

Another vote for the Goldberg Variations.

In awhile my sister and I shall be on our way to the bank to get certified checks for the second payout from our uncle's estate.
This will make a total of $960,000 we have dropped into the gaping maws of 22 other greedy guts crows.....which I pointed out in the letters we are sending with the checks....
-
Covid is real.
-
I canceled the brothers' rehearsal for JOSEPH tonight when one of the brothers tested positive yesterday.....all I need is another round of you know what!
-
Hmmm.....instead of showing Ed Sullivan at 7 a.m. - ME TV is now showing an episode of Laugh-In......which so far is NOT as amusing or entertaining.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I’m tired. But I slept the night through.
-
Wordle in five, Phoodle in 3.
-
Started watching Everything Everywhere All at Once last night. It’s a real hoot so far. I can understand why it was a huge box office hit.
-
So sorry about your rehearsal schedule, DR Jrand71. :-X
-
I am flying in a few weeks and am apprehensive about the more contagious new variants...
-
I’m flying tomorrow and am resigned to whatever happens. I will double mask.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Is it ..... Monday?
Don’t answer that.
-
I would have loved a couple more hours sleep, but there is no rest for the wicked.
-
I thought the same as DR singdaw — that the van would by then have finally been towed, or someone had let the air out of the tires, or keyed it. Or that an important piece was missing from the box. Or it turned out to be the wrong color. Or.....something. Just think of the possibilities! :)
-
It's 9:00 and my ride is scheduled for 9:34, so I am now in cautious mode.
-
I was afraid the end of the IKEA story would be van towed or bvookcase damaged, so I'm happy it all worked out.
-
I think at this point, if you must fly, then you've got to assume a que sera sera attitude about the situation. My theory has always been when your number comes up, it's over.
-
Negative!
-
Now that I am retired and living in South Caroline which is way less expensive than California, I no longer feel "baroque". But, back when I did, I would try to cheer myself up by singing "We're in the Money" or "Gold Fever" (from "Paint Your Wagon").

I finished watching "Glitch" on Netflix last night.
It could have been done in two seasons, but the third season was relatively short.
The resolution was highly satisfying and thought-provoking.

Today is my moms 90th birthday!
A Very Happy Birthday to Vixgran's 90th Birthday!!

TOD:
Another vote for the Goldberg Variations.
I really enjoy The Goldfarb Variations.
;)
-
Happy birthday, Vixmommom.
-
I was on time to get my boarding pass for tomorrow. And the exact minute it became available, I ended up in the B group. Ah, Southwest.
-
The cat and her kitty showed up last night. I wonder if anyone else is feeding them, so they’ll have food and water while I’m gone.

From Vixmom:
It was nearly 50 years ago, but it was such a fun moment I’ve never forgotten it
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your treatise on apple polishing.
-
From Vixmom:
We feared the worst, since we knew there was a black hole behind that curtain that ate IKEA employees
:))

Access-a-Ride this morning was 10 minutes early, which is strange dsince this car service is not too good. On the other hand, the good car service was really lousy this afternoon. I was finished with my appointment at 11:00, so I took a seat in the lobby and called AAR because I couldn't remember my pickup time. 11:15, I thought.
Nope, 11:33.
-
I hope the bookcase makes the Vixfamily very happy and looks great.
-
The young lady told me the car would be on time.
At 11:25, I called to check since I'd had no texts about arrival time. The young man I spoke to told me the car assigned to me had been moved and they werte looking for a car for me.
I called back and told the young lady I spoke to that it was ridiculous that three minutes before my scheduled pickup time they had no damned car assigned for me.
-
At 11:45 I got a text saying the car would arrive in 15 minutes, and the car actually showed up at 11:54, twenty=one minutes after my scheduled time.
But I'm home in one piece and ready for my soaps.
-
DR Vixmom I think you should send a letter to Ikea telling your story, and post it on their Facebook page.
-
Today is my moms 90th birthday!
HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY!
-
I thought the same -- that the IKEA story needs to be in the public eye in order to prod them into making some obviously much needed improvements.
At first guess, I think what I would do is write it up in one good FB post and put it on my own page, tagging IKEA. And then I'd share it or copy it (or whatever way is best) onto their page for customers to see. (Or maybe the tagging puts it there? I have no idea!) But that way, if they choose to delete your comment there, it still stands for all to see on yours.
Just my opinion, but I do think it's important that an experience that ridiculous and unforgivable needs to be shared, and loudly.

The least they could do is give you a free ice cream cone.

So, what happened at Funny Girl that forced its star out of the show two months early?
-
So, what happened at Funny Girl that forced its star out of the show two months early?
Like the fact she was miscast, missed performances, didn't sing the score well, and her standby was better? I heard a rumor that her father is a big investor in the show. Are the rumors about her replacement true? Will thewy change the title to Unfunny Bitch?

I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.

elmore, I appreciate you finally saying anything about the campaign. I always try to be clear that I don't expect anyone who can't afford to partake to worry about that - what's nice is just hearing a congrats every now and then. It means a lot. This is a community of people who care about each other - we care about you, as you well know.

Lea Michele is taking over.
But if Feldstein’s dad is a major backer, why does she feel she’s facing creative differences? Too much drama over too little talent.

I'm very very happy it's going so well for you. I felt that now, after you surpassed your goal, it was time to congratulate you. And I am really happy for everyone who found treasures, especially DR vixmom, who's been wanting all those Lost in Bostons for soem time.

Time to feed the animals.

I haven't reported on my ENT visit. Dr Namdar thinks the polypss can be controlled by a neti pot-nasal flusgh rather than surgery, so that's fine with me. But if it doesn't work, well, it's gonna be a cataract-polyps round of surfgery.

I have to vent. I love my neighbors Ann and Jen. Thanks to them, I have a new TV and microwave. They didn't have time to get the DVD player hooked up and the microwave sits here waiting to go on top of the fridge so I can use it. My apartment's a mess and I can't get a semblance of order until they finish what they've begum. I love them, but at the moment I am helpless in a space neither I nor the cats is happy with.
I hate being at the mercy of others, and this situation is working my last goddamned nerve.
-
DR elmore3003 - the last time I had nasal polyps, they went to biopsy it (pre-surgery) and the entire thing just popped right out.

Monday afternoon greetings! I had to be up and outta here for a DAR board meeting, then a post office errand. Glad to be home out of the SW Ohio heat and humidity.

I won a Scenie award for directing LA Now and Then. The cast won an award for ensemble in a revue, costumes and choreography also won. In fact, the Group Rep won a LOT of awards this year.

Ann just stopped by ansd we had a loverly visit. We have a work schedule. All is good

Bruce
Since I am missing 3 books will you do them for $50 on the indiegogo?

I was having a meltdown, and Ann's fortuitous visit was just what I needed to clear the air. My problem is I am impatiet but I don't want to become so dependent on them thatI become a burden to them. They have enough on their calendars with aging parents' care and jobs. I owe them so much.
As to you, Mr Smith, I wish you were closer to because we could visit more often and Anabelle always requires new headshots.

Not even 1 Guest.

I am enjoying the cool blast of the air conditioner on me.
-
After a long walk in 90 degree weather it is just what I need.
-
In about ten minutes I will probably be cold and need to wear a fleece lined jacket ;D
-
My good fairies on five just left. Microwave is up and running, and the DVD player works. Jen says my cable box is so old there is no HTMI (?) whatever that is, so I called Spectrum and a new cable box is on the way. I don't my impatience running my life. I need to relax and enjoy the good friends I have.
If that property sale actually goes through, I'm thinking of having a party for my NYC friends who've helped me out during these years of want.
-
I wonder if it was a good idea to announce Lea Michele as a replacement for Fanny in "Funny Girl". She wanted it badly after "Glee" finished, but her public appearances were something of a disaster, vocally.
Oh,well. I do hope she develops a personal style rather than her patented Barbra imitations.

HDMI is the terminology. It's the input (and there should be two or more) that make it possible to input disc players and sound bars. The old RCA plugs are passe.

I already need to get that extra layer of clothing. I really should climb up to the ceiling and tilt the vent away from my desk.

Endless Zoom thing done. And this iteration of the script is done and now we'll show it to a few people and get opinions.

Need some more action - every perk today, and there've been at least ten has been twenty bucks or thereabouts.

Listening to a book on microbes called I Contain Multitudes. Fascinating doesn’t begin to cover it. I learned tonight why oxilates are hard on some bodies (like mine). There is a probiotic that will kill oxilates, except in human bodies. They’re working on it.
-
Spoiler alert!!!
Something truly disgusting ahead.
The book also goes into coprophagy, the act of eat feces. Apparently quite a few animals do this, and it’s beneficial to their health. While he wasn’t suggesting we do this, the author does go into fecal material transplants, which are helping thousands of people. And there are even stool banks to store frozen examples of good stool.
Thankfully the author also has a good sense of humor about it all.
-
I’m glad I could share.

I did put up a photo - it's there now to grab.

Great news about Steve Bannon being told by a federal judge that his "Trump pardon" does NOT cover his January 6 activites/associations.
Now if they can just get something on Mike Flynn, Bill Barr's meddling that set him free may be undone.

Have done little to nothing all day.
Zero motivation.
Besides...
I am retired.
Don't want to.
Don't need to.
Can't make me!

It is moving on toward midnight here in Johnston SC.
I feel sleep moving in on me.
Nighty-night, all!

That happened a long, long time ago!

We had a wonderful dinner, they put us in a very quiet spot and we talked and talked and talked. The food was delicious, the service was good, (not great but good) it was an expensive night but how often does my mom turn 50?
I am exhausted and very very full .

Good night

I don’t know, Vixmom. How often does your mother turn 50?

Yes, what looks like a slow day really wasn't - just smaller CD items. I may make five more 10-CD sets available, although dealing with that will be madness - but they've been VERY popular with the populace.

Well, since we're so close...

PAGE SEVEN DANCE!!

Is that second one the gay cowboy story?

Shark attacks in the area have been very rare until recently, with an average of about one reported per 10 years for the last century.

And here it is! :D

Nice new millstone for George.

New notes are up.

Up are new notes.

So tonight after work, I went to my friend Shelly's house and we had a little barbecue.
-
We had hot dogs and pasta salad and Caesar salad and it was all quite yummy!
-
Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
I ate too much, but it was worth it. ;D
-
