Well, you've read the notes, the notes teased the big announcement, and now it is time for you to post until the announced cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TREMENDOUS!
-
First after BK!
-
I’m so happy that The Partridge Family is available on Amazon Prime.
I find it to be delightful, charming and quite humorous.
-
Once upon a time, I had an enormous crush on David Cassidy.
Yes, there were posters. 💓💓
-
Bruce, is there any way to know on which episodes you appear?
-
Now’s a good time to watch the first season.
Good night, HHW. 😴
-
Season two: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Partridge and The Partridge Papers. Season three: Your Only Young Once and Me and My Shadow. Season four: The Last of Howard.
-
Great!
Thanks!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
News flash: today is a day.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I wanted to sleep in. Stella, Thatch, and Annabelle were against it.
-
I had a strange night of sleep. I sleptvwell until around 2:00. Then it was hit or miss.
-
This is a work day. I've begun the Interlude, so I will wrk on that. I have packages to bring up from the mail room, so the cats and I will have fun opening them.
-
Lots of show business stuff going on for BK right now.
-
I haven't seen The Partridge Family episodes since they originally aired. Would love to check them out.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Bad night of sleep. Am not looking forward to morning traffic.
-
Kitty cleanup is finished, and I've taken my meds. Next up: the bed and then the basement.
-
All these talking heads blasting Judge Aileen Connon's decision on the Trump mess claim she's incompetent, stupid, off track. Aren't these grounds to impeach the bitch?
-
Good morning, all.
-
I will enjoy checking out those Partridge Family episodes.
-
Yesterday I bought a 10-sack of White Castle sliders with American cheese.
I have more than half of them left for today.....most interesting.
-
I did watch the new ELVIS movie directed by Baz L. It was okay. I enjoyed it, even though it was one of those edit every 10 seconds things....
AND the girl who played Priscilla - I couldn't understand or hear a word she said. And then there was Tom Hanks as Colonel Parker - the movie was ALL ABOUT HIM. I really hate movies where actors wear tons of plastic and rubber on their faces and pretend to be real people....annoying.
-
Good morning!
-

My... yesterday at this time, we were already on page fourteen.
-
Interesting reading the "reviews" of the first performance of the re-cast Funny Girl on Broadway last night.
-
Let's go...
-
TWO.
-
Shouldn’t we be on page three by now?
-
I’m not interested in the Funny Girl revisal.
-
But I wish them well.
-
Just Mel and BK hanging out. It's not photoshopped or anything.
-
Good morning.
-
:)

DR Jane, avert your eyes...
Nutella Swirl cheesecake
-
Are we
there yet still on page two?
-
From Vixmom:
Jane I don’t remember the name of our mattress
OK
-
From Vixmom:
All I know is that it inflates on each side separately so we can each get the firmness we like and that we got a base that will make the head and foot rise if we want
This answers the question I asked, then deleted, in my previous post.
-
DR Vixmom is there a fee if you want to return the mattress? When we purchased ours they said I could return it, then did everything possible to get out of taking it back. They won since Keith liked the mattress.
-
DR Jane, avert your eyes...
Nutella Swirl cheesecake
I will pretend it is chocolate.
-
Here's hoping that all DRs who are in heat's way can stay cool today.

You just want her dress, Singdaw.
-
Peter Straub has died. I think the only books his I’ve read are the two he co-wrote with Stephen King.
-
The library finally added King’s latest, Fairy Tale. It’ll take seven weeks to arrive.

Sorry, DR vixmom.

Sad, though I haven't read anything by him.

You know me so well!

Ouch
-
Maybe you can get a new mattress that also functions as a vehicle?
-
Let's get off this page.
-
Three.
-
As in, thrice.
-
How many fingers am I holding up? :)
-
I tried an episode and a half of Only Murders in the Building. It streams on Hulu. I am undecided. There are some funny bits and some bits that don't work too well (that seem a bit forced).
-
Martin Short is hilarious, however.

I've only read Ghost Story. I liked it, but I remember little about it now.
-
Vixmom! Oy!
That's got to be for more than just an alternator, though. Yes? No?
It's been several years since my last time, and a wholly different kind of car, but I've never paid more than half that. Of course, lots of car parts are going through the roof due to all the usual (probably some of 'em BS) reasons...
-
Ghost Story, same here, DR Elmore.
And I actually would have thought he was much older. No particular reason for that.
Also - this is silly, very silly, but I have always conflated the name Peter Straub with the title The Reincarnation of Peter Proud. Which he of course didn't write. But like I said. Silly.

AND NOW (just for some comic relief)...
We have Covid positives running through the cast. Three for sure, plus a parent of one of those, and possibly a fourth.
I'm fine, and testing negative, but -- Holy Announced Cows! - just what we needed. Right?
-
So, no rehearsal tonight or tomorrow night.
And after this week, there are only two more weeks till tech week.
I believe I'm going to make myself a nice Manhattan. 8)
-
Hooray for negativity.
-
The San Antonio Philharmonic is rising from the ashes of the symphony. I wish them well. Hope they can make a go of it.

Stay negative vibes, and vibes for the cast.

Yum. Rye or regular? Whichever, what do you use?

I do love a nice rye, but all I have in the house is bourbon, and I like those too, so bourbon it is tonight. :)
With Carpano vermouth, Angostura bitters, and there might be a couple of Luxardo cherries left.
-
If I have had Carpano vermouth I wasn't aware of it.
-
I don't have any of the ingredients to make either Manhattan.

We have appointments at the pharmacy on Saturday afternoon to get both the annual flu shot and the new bi-valent Covid booster shot.

'Cause a stick in each arm is how we roll.

I was using Imgur for hosting/sharing the photos and memes I share on HHW, but it became balky and clunky, so now I'm using Pixlr.

Can't wait to hear about BK's big announcement.

GREAT CAT TOY!

We have appointments at the pharmacy on Saturday afternoon to get both the annual flu shot and the new bi-valent Covid booster shot.
Good luck! I would never do both at the same time.
-
DR Singdaw, which booster are you getting? Is this your second or first booster?
-
We had our booster in April and will wait until we are ready to do the new vaccination.
-
I guess my question for ASK BK DAY is:
Where are you?
-
DR ChAS SmITH that is most discouraging....but typical of the times.
-
Remember I just closed a show about Joseph and his 10 brothers and Jacob and his three wives.

Such beautiful weather here today.
I mowed the back yard.
Tomorrow I will be driving down to sell tickets and refreshments at the opening night of THE MIRACLE WORKER.

Funny! ;D
-
DR Jane - I've had the two original shots and two boosters, the last in April this year. This shot will be the newly formulated one for the new variants.
-
We’re our own menagerie.
Do we have lions, tigers, and bears?
-
Do we have moxie?
-
Do we still have our wits about us?
-
Do we still have six posts to go until another page turn?
-
We do! No wait; now it's five.
-
It's funny how it works.
-
But a post is a post.
-
Or a tops, if you re-arrange the letters.
-
But no one would do that.
-
It would be most unseemly.
-
Five!!!!!

I'm up, I'm up - the damn alarm didn't go off, so didn't arise until one-thirty - nine hours of sleep, but I'm now so behind and it's so irritating. Having to rush, rush, rush. Just ordered two tacos for food. Have to write the blurbs for our new releases. Approved one master and not the other, so that's being redone now from a better source I found. Hoping we can announce by Friday.
-
DR Jane - I've had the two original shots and two boosters, the last in April this year. This shot will be the newly formulated one for the new variants.
I read to wait at least six months after the last booster before getting this, or before winter when the risk should be higher.
-
I just read the CDC recommendation of two months since the last booster, three months after covid, and six months if young & healthy.
I went and asked Keith if he saw the suggested change. He had, and just read another article with the timeline we originally decided to follow.
-
If you believe everything you read, you’ll end up with half-a-dozen shots.
-
;D

Having street tacos, corn in a cup and a fruit cup from my favorite taco stand.
-
Nice.
-
Corn in cup, fruit cup.
-
Nice.
That is festive.
-
Corn in cup, fruit cup.
Yum.
-
Since my morning exercise consisted of a walk around Costco I planned an early evening walk.
-
Then I moved wrong & did something to my ankle.
-
I hope it’s better soon, Jane.
-
Two hours later I was about to give up.
-
To my relief, the kink worked its way out and I had a lovely walk along the river.
-
Oh, we need ANOTHER booster. I never got the third one because it was so ineffective, so I'll wait until I hear reports about this one.
-
Blurbs written, waiting to approve the revised master, hopefully tonight, saw another couple of self-tapes, one good, one bad, and have not seen our press release anywhere. Broadway World told me they're very behind (they were sent the Kritzerland show release a week ago and it still isn't up, but the owner of the site said they'd try to bump us up in the queue.
-
Good luck they bump you up in the queue.
-
'night

I did something to my lower back
-
No idea how or what
-
One second I was fine, the next I was in excruciating pain and barely able to walk

I am now reclining with a heating pad hoping whatever happened will undo itself

DR vixmom, I'm sorry. Your luck has got to turn. It's just GOT to.

~~~PAIN BEGONE VIBES~~~ FOR ALL DRs AS NEEDS EM, especially DRs TCB, elmore3003, vixmom, Jeanne, and Jane.
I'm sorry if I've forgotten anyone.
Let's raise a flag.
To Page Six!
Good night, friends.
Finished my depressing Greek drama, Digger, which was very good. Now watching Standing in the Shadows of Motown, a documentary I really love.
-
Booked on a Feeling has arrived at the library. Can hardly wait to start that. I also have the latest from a Nobel Prize winner. Which should I start first?
-
Good evening.
-
My friend texted me that they got the new updated covid shot today. So I went online right away and booked appointments for myself and DH. We got the shots a couple hours later.
Good night, all.
-
Watched a great documentary - now having some pretzels and some cheese slices and once again cooling down the house from its current eighty-four degrees.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Damn them, damn them all to HELL.
-
Yesterday I bought a 10-sack of White Castle sliders with American cheese.
I have more than half of them left for today.....most interesting.
You have a White Castle???? Do you ever get their onion chips??? I LOVE THOSE!!!
-
:)
I had an inkling about this!
-
I have started watching the Netflix "Into the Night", Season 1. Intriguing, but quite downbeat and a bit predictable.
I see there are two seasons of it, and I don't know if I truly want to go through all the angst beyond Season 1.
-
BK - Have you caught the 4-minute video called “HD Footage of Los Angeles in the 1970s" from one of the LA groups? If not, here is its YouTube link:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iEBGeC2A7OU
It was uploaded there only four months ago.
-
So, somebody had to go and mention White Castle just as I am about to turn in, eh? Now I shall most certainly dream of them.
I'm guessing that DR Jrand72 has the real thing in his vicinity. I make sure I hit WC at least a couple of times whenever I'n in Ohio. I can get it here, too, but not without driving to the Bronx or to New Jersey.
Vixmom - are there any on Lawn Guyland?
-
Whew!
-
ChasSmith - I think I saw that vid several years ago - but I can now date it as somewhere around July, 1973. There's a billboard for Grease at the Shubert - that opened in late June and played through September. But at the Tiffany, Vault of Horror is playing but while I can't even find a listing for the Tiffany, that's the only week in 1973 when that film played anywhere.
-
Tonight's A Murder is Announced rehearsal went well.
-
We finished reading the script, and we had a new actor join the cast.
-
Has anyone here ever tried the frozen White Castle burgers?
-
We still need one more young-ish actor, though.
-
Has anyone here ever tried the frozen White Castle burgers?
I have. The local Albertson's (which is now a Safeway) had them. They weren't too bad...not fabulous, but decent enough.
