Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a wrap, and now it is time for you to post until the wrapped cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: QUICKEN!
-
I just realized that last night I wrote A Muder is Announced. :o
Muder?? :))
-
And to conclude from last night:
My one concern was in my little scene with the character of Julia where I'd only seen Madeleine in the role, wondering if seeing Emilie would throw me off, but it didn't! Whew!!
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR George, that video is quite wonderful. I didn't recogtnize anyone, including you.
-
Last night my eye itched like mad. It had me very worried, but this morning it seems okay. My biggest fear is that I will do something unconsciously, like scratch it, and screw things up.
-
Joshie sent me the PDF of the orchestra score, but it's so large it cannot be sent as an attachment, and I cannot see clearly enough to know how to download it. Hopefully, he can help me through it when he gets to City Center.
-
BK, congratulations on a successful wrap-up.
-
Kevin Spacey is a mess. I know too much.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
DR elmore3003, I am glad that you didn't have this procedure 75 years ago, when you had to lie still and unmoving in sand bags for a week.
-
Last night I had a funny and bizarre dream in which my current work colleagues and I had to wear gingham outfits with aprons, and we had to curtsy, and we also had to display lanyards outside our cubicles which indicated when the cows had to be fed.
And then I woke up.
-
Feed the cows!
-
Congrats to MR BK & Co.
-
I am having a party at my house Saturday night with my three sisters, so I have to go to the stores......
-
My favorite part of the Darrell Brooks trial yesterday was when he accused the prosecution of s l o w i n g the proceedings down.....with an extra eye roll for good measure.
....and of course the fact that as MR BK said - his witnesses are not helping his case at all.....
-
Good morning, all.
-
Very tired, but mostly back on schedule.
-
I am having a party at my house Saturday night with my three sisters, so I have to go to the stores......
Sounds fun. When should we be there?

You guessed your Christmas present.

Muder?? :))
Hello, Muder! Hello, Faddah!
-
I need to QUICKEN my senses. Am rather sluggish this morning.
Topping it off is congestion. So tired of this.
Happy day, all!
-
This little ray of sunshine brought to you from Johnston SC.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I need to take a run out to Home Depot, and pick up some foodstuffs at Shop Rite. And then I must take a look through my score and get myself into gear for our final two shows.
-
After which it will be, fittingly, a WRAP.
-
Lucy Simon, composer of The Secret Garden and sister of Carly, has died.
-
Show vibes for DR CHAS SMITH & DR GEORGE.
75% - remember!
-
Judge just laid down the law AGAIN to Darrell Brooks - who is being disrespected......
-
WELCOME TO DISRESPECTFUL PAGE TWO!
-
Hannah DR Jrand72 and Her His Sisters
-
I've been to a MAH-velous party...
-
Ok, Bea Singdaw.
-
Steve Bannon gets 4 months in prison. He’s headed to a mah-velous party.
-
Lucy Simon, composer of The Secret Garden and sister of Carly, has died.
Sad. I liked the music for that and Zhivago.
-
After which it will be, fittingly, a WRAP.
End of run vibes.
-
Friday morning greetings! I'm about to Zoom to the book discussion at the library where my career began.
-
DR Elmore, how about a phone call later this afternoon?
-
~~~PERFORMANCE VIBES~~~ for DR George and Company and also to DR ChasSmith and Company!!!!!
-
I think I have missed the morning movie.
-
Thanks for the heads up, DRs elmore3003 and John G. I really LOVE the score for The Secret Garden, but I don't think I've ever listened to the score for Dr. Zhivago.
-
I can't remember I've I have talked about this here, but the Metropolitan Opera is expanding their live broadcast outreach efforts. If you live more than x miles from a theater that participates, you can qualify to purchase tickets for home streaming. Alas, there are plenty of local theaters here that participate, but it is great for more remote opera lovers.
-
I think I have missed the morning movie.
Bro, are you disappointed?
-
From DR TCB:
For the second day in a row, Seattle, Washington has the worst air quality in the entire world. Portland, Oregon in number two, followed by Beijing, China at number three!
Wow. You know what Portland has, I have.
Looking at the numbers yesterday I was thinking we have had worse during the fire season :(
-
I also noticed that there was not enough DR George in that video.
-
I think I have missed the morning movie.
Bro, are you disappointed?
No, Bro.
-
From TCB:
I had no choice. We were forced to be in our condo between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm for our fire inspection and the cleaning of our dryer vent. If you aren’t home, you have to pay to have them come back.
At least it was a good day for you to stay home since you wouldn't have wanted to go outside.
-
We had our fire inspection on Wednesday. We arrived home minutes before they got to our unit, about half way through the building. Fortunately we can leave a key with management if we aren't here, and since every fire check in every unit of the building sets of an alarm, we prefer not to be here.
-
Oh, sorry you didn't know about the dryer vent cancellation. Our vent cleaning is only on the outside and we pay privately for the inside vent to be cleaned.
-
DR George I am pleased your evening went well.
-
And to conclude from last night:
My one concern was in my little scene with the character of Julia where I'd only seen Madeleine in the role, wondering if seeing Emilie would throw me off, but it didn't! Whew!!
Good :)
-
I need to QUICKEN my senses. Am rather sluggish this morning.
Topping it off is congestion. So tired of this.
Happy day, all!
Feel better. I too have been dragging lately.
-
Sad about Lucy Simon.
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe four hours of sleep. I think the lobster mac-and-cheese was a bit too rich for my tummy, but who knows?
-
Sadly she died from metastatic breast cancer. I support a group called METAvivor instead of the "Pink" groups as they are focused on curing the disease while the other groups tend to ignore that part of breast cancer :(
-
Darrell Brooks is completely out of control today - screaming at the judge and the State, sometimes in front of the jury. The judge so wants to blow up at him, but she's really smart because no appeals court anywhere would grant a mistrial based on this man's behavior and non-knowledge of the law. That's what happens when a narcissist represents himself. And any time the State or judge says a term like foundation or speculation, which he's never used, he immediately gloms onto it and then uses it for every objection. His latest is "they opened the door" - he has no idea what it means but that doesn't stop him.
-
I don't think I can watch any of that. It would just raise my blood pressure too much.
-
Sounds delusional, though.
-
If you represent yourself, does that preclude grounds of appeal for misrepresentation?
-
Asking for a friend...
-
Three.
-
DR George, that video is quite wonderful. I didn't recogtnize anyone, including you.
;D
-
Lucy Simon, composer of The Secret Garden and sister of Carly, has died.
Oh, no! I love that show and her score. :(
-
Show vibes for DR CHAS SMITH & DR GEORGE.
75% - remember!
Thanks, Jrand!
-
~~~PERFORMANCE VIBES~~~ for DR George and Company and also to DR ChasSmith and Company!!!!!
Thanks, Singdaw!
-
~~~DITTO VIBES FOR CHASSMITH!!~~~
-
I also noticed that there was not enough DR George in that video.
Thanks, Jane. Sadly, I had no control over the creation of it...and, actually, any knowledge of it until it was posted. ::)
-
DR George I am pleased your evening went well.
Thanks again, Jane!
-
I don't think so DR singdaw....but unlike Darrell Brooks, I am not an expert on law....
He also doesn't believe this court has jurisdiction over him and keeps asking if it does even though the judge has already given him written proof that it does.....
-
DR Elmore, how about a phone call later this afternoon?
Today is not a good day, but tomorrow afternoon would be just dandy!
It’s a date!
Got my first property tax bill since paying off the house. I think I liked it better when I didn't know how much I would have to pay in taxes.
-
I have really liked the judge in this case - but today she's starting to irritate everyone by giving this jerk way too many opportunities to come back - over and over - and he continues to be a jerk - "One last time" - she says over and over again. Just keep him out of the courtroom, period. She knows how he's going to be. He has never been as bad as he is today.
-
the vast majority of it is to pay for a school district, which I shouldn't have to pay since I have no kids.
-
He's wasted three hours today. And she's still giving him chances.
-
At this point, no appeals court in the universe would give this moron a mistrial - all his BS is reflected in the record. And yet, another recess while he's brought back into the courtroom. At this point, enough is truly enough. I don't advise anyone watching this unless you enjoy screaming at what you're seeing - I've done so repeatedly this morning.
-
In a short while, I'll be on my way to the mail place to pick up two packages that have been there for almost a week. More Pepcid, and floss.
-
Opera singer Joanna Simon. Lucy and Carly’s sister, also died this week. The sisters died a day apart.
-
Oh, my goodness! That's terrible!
-
I don't think I can watch any of that. It would just raise my blood pressure too much.
;D Or lower it laughing at him.
-
A good school district increases the value of your home.
-
But happier news:
The Jan. 6 select committee has formally subpoenaed Donald TRUMP, commanding him to appear for testimony on Nov. 14.
The panel wants documents from him by Nov. 4.
Then definitely not for DR Singdaw.
Here's the subpoena:
How sad. A different cancer, but still cancer :(
-
Here's the subpoena:
That is something to see. Thank you.
-
And here's a short article about it:
Jan. 6 committee subpoenas Donald Trump (https://www.politico.com/news/2022/10/21/jan-6-committee-subpoenas-donald-trump-00062969)
The select committee subpoenaed the former president on Friday, a historic — if largely symbolic — step that is unlikely to compel Trump’s testimony before the panel dissolves at the end of the year.
-
We have four fire alarms in our home and last night just after 9:00 all four began blasting. After confirming we didn't have a fire, I threw on a robe and went outside where I found other neighbors emerging from their units.
-
I came back inside and threw some proper clothes on and we both went back out. The dogs in the building were less happy than the people, however, as with the people were calmer once outside where it wasn't as loud.
-
The fire truck arrived around 9:20.
-
Bless the fireman who at 9:26 gave us silence. I know the time as I was texting our next door neighbors who were out, and their poor dog was home alone.
-
By 9:39 we returned home after our unplanned "exciting" gathering with our neighbors.
-
On the upside, the weather last night was decent and the alarms did not go off in the middle of the night.
-
The first neighbors I saw when I peaked outside made all the appropriate calls, including calling the people who manage our complex. We were impressed with how quickly the two men who work & supervise the property arrived.
-
What an adventure last night, Jane!
-
Glad you had good weather! It's raining here, now! ;D
-
Glad you endured all of that, DR Jane.
-
In our building, the day they test the alarms is quite challenging. It goes on much of the day, and inside it is piercing. Since I work from home, and my work involves being on the phone, it is not pleasant and quite intrusive.
-
And I believe that next annual day is fast approaching.
-
What an adventure last night, Jane!
Yup, not the kind one wants-lol
-
Glad you had good weather! It's raining here, now! ;D
Same here.
-
Glad you endured all of that, DR Jane.
I really am glad it didn't happen any later, and that it was a false alarm.
-
Same here. How many apartments are in your building?
-
We have 19 units in our building. I am guessing that is around 75 alarms to test, and with each test we all hear the alarm.
-
Thank goodness we can't hear the alarms for the other buildings.
-
Flaherty & Ahrens's Knoxville is out today...
-
Jane - our building has just over 100 units.
-
It is constructed of concrete, but I guess contents can still burn.
-
But it is exceptionally quiet, which I love.
-
Up from a nap.
-
Up from a nap.
Me, too! :)
-
A coinkydink, as DR George might say.
-
And does say.
-
Jane - our building has just over 100 units.
I would not want to be inside for fire inspection day.
-
The judge would have had every right to toss him from the courtroom and not allow him any more witnesses - but she doesn't want a mistrial. He stared her down like he was Charles Manson and she called a break and told him if it continued he'd be banished to the other room. He's completely unprepared to question his witnesses, can't find his paperwork, and today he has wasted almost four hours of the jury and the court's time.
The main illustration is gorgeous.
-
Beautiful.
-
Those are all really lovely.
-
And one to grow on....
-
Five!
-
PAGE FIVE SPOOKY DANCE!
-
Decided not to go to the mail place, since I can do that right after breakfast tomorrow.
-
Marshall picked up everything he needed.
-
Ok, Bea Singdaw.
Or Rose Singdaw...or Blanche Singdaw...or, heaven forbid, Sophia Singdaw!
-
Marshall picked up everything he needed.
Marshall Harvey is good people.
-
Flaherty & Ahrens's Knoxville is out today...
Cool...but not a physical CD...and no digital booklet! I hate that. >:(
-
The first neighbors I saw when I peaked outside made all the appropriate calls, including calling the people who manage our complex. We were impressed with how quickly the two men who work & supervise the property arrived.
Any word on what caused the alarms to go off?
-
I just got (at last) a couple photos from when I starred in PRESENT LAUGHTER at TLT.
-
Wow! Almost 40 years ago.
-
My ex-wife and I were going thru a rather bitter divorce, but she and my step-daughter came to see the show every weekend and sat in the front row.
-
The review was so good that we sold out the entire run. I was thrilled by the review, but the rest of the cast hated it, because I was the only person singled out for praise (and it was a big cast)!
Nope, or that they came to investigate.
Muder?? :))
Hello, Muder, Hello, Fadder!
Oh my. I am sure you deserved the praise.
To my chagrin, I don't know that I have ever seen a live production of a Noel Coward piece.
-
To my chagrin, I don't know that I have ever seen a live production of a Noel Coward piece.
There was a video tape of our show, but after 40 years it has been lost to the ages.
Actually, it may have been a Kinescope!
-
To my chagrin, I don't know that I have ever seen a live production of a Noel Coward piece.
Harlequin Productions here in Olympia did Present Laughter a couple of years ago. It was quite good.
-
Ok, Bea Singdaw.
Or Rose Singdaw...or Blanche Singdaw...or, heaven forbid, Sophia Singdaw!
I was thinking Bea Lillie. But OK.
-
I just got (at last) a couple photos from when I starred in PRESENT LAUGHTER at TLT.
Great photo!
Great, indeed.
-
Fifth tantrum of the day, removed again, and I would not allow him to call any more witnesses. When a punk yells at a presiding judge and says, "How'd you even get to be a judge, you got no integrity, I got no tackit agreement which you" - (tackit is how this moron pronounces tacit - sustain to him is substain and on and on).
-
Hay Fever, when done right, is a joy. Saw a great revival with Rosemary Harris, Charles Kimbrough and Deborah Rush among others. It was a joy from start to finish.
-
Who doesn't want to be Bea?
-
I ask you.
-
Sounds like he is a sub-stain, all right.
-
Six!!!!!!
-
The rest of the cast included Roy Dotrice, Robert Joy, Barbara Byrne, Campbell Scott and Mia Dillon.
-
Greetings from Chamberlain High School.
Senior Prom’s tonight.
-
Anyone got an old bucket?
-
On what platform are you watching this trial, BK?
-
To my chagrin, I don't know that I have ever seen a live production of a Noel Coward piece.
There was a video tape of our show, but after 40 years it has been lost to the ages.
Too bad.
-
DR TCB, correction. They came out and reset the system. If they explained to anyone why the alarms went off that information was not sent to us.
-
My Mexican fix.
-
I think the funniest thing I’ve learned today is that “proud boys” is slang for castrated horses.
-
My Mexican fix.
I will imagine it is all vegetarian, remove the pepper, and eat vicariously with you.
-
I think the funniest thing I’ve learned today is the “proud boys” is slang for castrated horses.
:o :))
I imagine if the judge throws him out of the courtroom and he can't question the witnesses, the case will be overturned.
-
My Mexican fix.
I will imagine it is all vegetarian, remove the pepper, and eat vicariously with you.
The enchiladas are filled with more cheese.
-
More Cheese is the title of my next memoir.
-
A curd tale.
-
A slice of life.
-
A story about the (g)rind of daily living.
My Mexican fix.
Yum.
-
Cranberries, gingersnaps and lemons have been purchased.
-
I think the funniest thing I’ve learned today is that “proud boys” is slang for castrated horses.
That's fantastic!! :))
-
And now, I'm off to the theater!
Until later!
-
Did someone say CRANBERRIES??
-
;D
-
Organic CRANBERRIES, no less.
-
A word of warning, if you are looking for affordable health care for your pets be careful of your phrasing:
Low cost spay and neuter for seniors?
-
;D
-
A couple more PRESENT LAUGHTER photos.
-
And three.
-
A word of warning, if you are looking for affordable health care for your pets be careful of your phrasing:
Low cost spay and neuter for seniors?
And your proud boys.
-
And three.
Very dapper.
-
Seven!
-
I see that "Bros" is now available to rent or buy on-demand. So we'll probably watch it from home tomorrow.
-
LOL, yes please.
-
DR TCB I am loving your photos.
-
I shouldn’t be making proud boy jokes while watching Sweet Bird of Youth.
-
Kind of scary. The Simon sisters had a younger brother who also had cancer, though it was a heart attack that killed him when he was 71.
-
We have a long explanation of the why. Extremely short version, a setting has been changed from sensitive to less sensitive so as not to set off the alarms again. They did this in all the other buildings just in case.
-
'night
-
Good night, friends.
-
What a great cast in Sweet Bird of Youth. Newman, Geraldine Page, Rip Torn, Madeline Sherwood, Ed Begley and a wonderful Shirley Knight. Too bad the script is less good.
-
Gratuitous post 191!
-
Starting another Nikkatsu Studio noir called Rusty Knife. Cool stuff.
-
Also downloading the complete string quartets of Villa-Lobos.
-
Good Night!
Sleep Tight!
Don't let the Singdaws Bite!!
-
Singdaw, YouTube - Law and Crime Network has it live and then it stays up.
-
Finished with my viewing - Jordan Peele's Nope. Nope.
-
I could have watched Nope on the plane. I said Nope.
-
This has been a nifty little noir. The Japanese had some interesting crime setups that they exploited to great effect.
In both that I’ve watched, family has been the major source of corruption and evil.
-
Good night, all.
-
Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
Tonight's performance went fairly well. ::)
-
A few people in the audience were really following along and oooed several times when things were revealed. ;D
-
I think they really enjoyed the big reveal tonight.
-
...which shan't be revealed here!
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes. Objection. Sustained. What's the substain, Your Honor?
