Well, you've read the notes, the notes were lackadaisical, and now it is time for you to post until the lackadaisical cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: UTOPIA!
-
Hoo and Ray about the very errant and truant three releases that will finally be here on Wednesday (if not actually in MY hot little hands on Wednesday)! Can't wait to get them! :D
-
And I can't (but I know I must) wait to get my Indiegogo perks! Hopefully, they'll get here soonly, too!
-
I just paid my property taxes...I actually paid it early this year. ::)
;)
-
And now, I'm off to bed. Tonight, we start the last weekend of A Murder is Announced!
Have a good day, all!
-
I just paid my property taxes...I actually paid it early this year. ::)
;)
Thanks for the reminder. I have some time yet, but I truly ought to just pay them.
-
It's "early". Woke up at 4:30 a.m. and could not go back to sleep.
-
I don't know what the day may bring, but I do foresee an early nap at some point.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I woke to another mess this morning. The cats have two bowls of dry food I keep out for them: one has Purina Filet Mignon and shrimp, and the other is Meow Mix Chicken and Salmon. This morning, both bowls are empty and their contents lie all over the floor in a vast circle around the bowls. I don't know if the cats decided to have a food fights or one of the apartment ghosts felt it wasn't getting enough attention these days.
-
Speaking of ghosts, this appeared in Wednesday's Real Estate section of the NY Times:
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/10/26/realestate/haunted-house-paranormal-ghosts.html
-
Once I clean up this kibble mess, I must buckle down and try to finish up this blasted interlude for my friend Martin.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
This new production of Cats is really the pits.
-
RE: one comment in today's Notes: isn't MONDAY Halloween? Monday is the 31st.
-
~~~STRONGEST POSSIBLE FILMING VIBES & XYLPHONES~~~ for BK's shoot today!!!!!!!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I forgot to do Wordle yesterday.
-
Good morning
-
I should go Wordle now
-
DR vixmom, I am distressed about your dental news.
-
Would you like my assistance in robbing a bank?
-
Or perhaps we can organize a bake sale?
-
Saturday's Powerball drawing will have a payout of $800 million.
Boo!
I think I need to win! I’ll hie me to a lottery seller
I do hope you win! And I'm really hoping you'll lend me a couple of million to do a few recordings.
-
DR vixmom, I'd help you and DR singdaw with the robbery, but I'm afraid a bank robber on a walker wouldn't get far.
-
Two!
-
Or tow, for the dyslexic.
-
DR vixmom - opening your School of Typing should bring in some dough.
-
These days, I think the kids call it "keyboarding."
-
Good morning!
Wordle: 4/6
-
A Bank Robber on a Walker will be the title of my next feature film.
-
It will be a riveting tale with plenty of high-speed chases.
-
;)
-
But the genius is that we just speed up the film.
-
I feel sad for Hank. ;D
-
Good morning, all.
-
What is it, Friday?
-
:)
-
Did we school kids ever say, on Fridays back in the day, "What is it, fish?"
-
Vixmom, you've already bought your dentist the shiny new BMW. What's he need now, an indoor pool?
-
Oy. Y'all had to go and remind me about the property taxes, didn't you.
Filming vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
Vibes for DR TCB!
-
Of course DR ELMORE the veil between the living and the dead is at it's thinnest on the night of October 31 (and again on April 30) - so your ghost may be feeling his oats - or his cat food, as the case may be.
And they are all like Madame Rose - just wanting to be noticed.
-
Well last night I watched a 1975 movie entitled A Night At The Continental Baths - about a straight man who is hired to play the piano at the infamous place.....shot on location.
It is not well written or acted - but it is interesting. We get to see about 15 minutes of the regular show - which has about 4 minutes of entertainment in it.
-
Then I started to watch BROS.
I was very careful because DR singdaw - I think - warned me that a familiar face would show up.....but I haven't gotten that far. I've only watched about 30 minutes.
I think my favorite part so far is a staff meeting at the new LBGQT+ Museum.
Pier One was supposed to give $5 million dollars, but declared bankruptcy instead. All of the letters are represented on the staff.
The lesbian woman is mad because March was Lesbian Month and no one has even mentioned it - and it's already June! And what about the 400 lesbians that fought in the Civil War? The trans representative reminds her that at least 4% of those were trans women.
The bisexual man is mad because the Lesbians get a whole month and Bisexuals only get a week. He wants an animatronic Disney type hall of Bisexuals...
And so on it goes......
-
Having sit in many meetings - though not on those particular subjects - the whole thing was very familiar.....
-
When I started going to Actors Theater of Louisville, Adele O’Brien was a member of the repertory company. I saw her in dozens of shows. Plus, she was in a lot of their world premieres: Agnes of God, Getting Out, Talking With …
Turns out she’s at the same center as Mom, and they regularly have breakfast and lunch together.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight and a half hours of good sleep, no issues.
-
Small world DR JOHN G.
-
Good sleeping news from MR BK.
-
I made some bacon mac & cheese.....
-
Page Three.
-
This afternoon my sister and I are going to see TICKET TO PARADISE starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
-
I made some bacon mac & cheese.....
Me want.
-
DR Vixmom I am very sorry about the cost of your dental work.
-
DR George did you have any side effects from your Moderna vaccination?
-
From DR George:
I will most definitely have a smaller role in that show...and I am very grateful for that! :))
;D
-
And now, I'm off to bed. Tonight, we start the last weekend of A Murder is Announced!
Have a good day, all!
Have a great weekend.
-
It's "early". Woke up at 4:30 a.m. and could not go back to sleep.
No. She’s new to the place.
Next time then.
Oh my......I haven't thought about Talking With.... for many years - but it is one of my favorite evenings in theeder.
Closing weekend vibes for DR GEORGE & Co.
-
Good afternoon.
None, whatsoever.
My church is doing our first ever Trunk or Treat event tomorrow night. Violet wants to be Elsa from Frozen. So Mommy is decorating her car with a Frozen castle. She has asked me to make snowflake cookies to go along with her theme.
-
I just made four batches of sugar cookie dough. That's a lot of cookies to decorate. Luckily, snowflakes are easy, and they are pretty forgiving when you cover them in sanding sugar.
Oh, no...Jerry Lee Lewis, Rock Pioneer and ‘Great Balls of Fire’ Singer, Dies at 87 (https://variety.com/2022/music/news/jerry-lee-lewis-dead-singer-great-balls-of-fire-1235415340/).
-
I did do a nap, starting around 6:30 a.m. Finally got up at 10:04 a.m.
Feel much more refreshed. Went out for cash at the bank, mail at the post office and lunch at Third Generation: Baked catfish and grits, succotash and black-eyed peas with green beans. It was very good.
I then looked at my e-mail and discovered that Cygna was ready to set up my new Dental/Vision/Hearing Account. Done and DONE!!!
-
No matter what cable I watch (except TCM), ads are all political and ugly and many are lies.
-
Oh! Oh! I got a notice from Apple+ that my monthly fee will go from $4.99 a month to $6.99 a month. I did not even know I was subscribed to Apple+.
I added it to my apps and will watch it, if anything is worthy of my time, until Nov. 24th when my current subscription expires (yes, I cancelled).
-
i have also changed air filters in my house. Man! One of them was really dirty! I guess I need to check that one more than once every three months.
-
That's all.
~~~SOLVING THE CASE VIBES~~~ for DR George and Company!!!! For the last few times!
-
DR George did you have any side effects from your Moderna vaccination?
None, whatsoever.
Fantastic.
-
Keith tested positive again today. We are going to run out of covid tests ;D
-
I found out today if my doctor sent a prescription in for a covid test Medicare will pay for it. I think in California all you have to do is ask for one.
-
If you need a test it is worth asking what the policy is at your pharmacy.
-
My church is doing our first ever Trunk or Treat event tomorrow night. Violet wants to be Elsa from Frozen. So Mommy is decorating her car with a Frozen castle. She has asked me to make snowflake cookies to go along with her theme.
Cute. I have no doubt you said yes.
-
I have not heard of Trunk or Treat. It is a great idea to do it at your church where you know the people handing out the treats.
-
I hope that DR Ginny will report on whether her picture window is fixed. At ruinous cost, no doubt.
-

LOL, only "many" are lies.

We have reminders on our calendar.
-
Sadly, a lot of our stock of Covid test kits had to be trashed lately, as they were past their expiration dates.
-
It is definitely Fall here, looking outside. The light has a different quality.

I am very sad about the attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband by a zealot with a hammer. The Jan 6th mindset is not going away, at least in some circles.
-
If the orange ogre is allowed to return to Twitter, now that it has been bought by Elon Musk, I fear that things will just inflame further.

My vacuum cleaner is dead. I blame the cats.
-
My neighbor Jen came down, helped me with emails I am unable to read because of my eyes, helped me with the HRA, and I nw have food stamps, thanks to her. Best of all, she took the dead vacuum, to the basement.
-
On a more positive note, I've recently become enamored of Samara Joy, a jazz singer. Perhaps I'm late to the party, but I'd never heard of her before.

I'll say it again: DR elmore3003 is blessed with great friends and neighbors. Thank goodness.
-
Many accomplishments DR RONPULLIAM!
I think Apple+ is where MR BK's new series will be viewed, so you might want to keep it for a bit longer. 8)
-
I am appalled at the cost of DR VIXMOM's mouth fix - that's the price of a new car, at least.
-
My sister is not feeling well so we are skipping George & Julia today and will perhaps view them on Sunday.
-
So my evening is free-ish.
And that's the way uh huh uh huh I like it uh huh uh huh.
-
Diabetes doctor is trying something new on me. Oh, joy.
-
Mounjaro. Sounds like a New Jerseyite trying to pronounce Kilimanjaro.
-
Onward.
-
Five!
-
I thought that Sami! was going to air on Amazon Prime.
-
Stanley Livingston reports that Dawn Lyn [younger sister of Leif Garrett] who played his sister on My Three Sons is in a coma after surgery to remove a tumor from her brain.....he is asking for prayers.
And PEOPLE magazine reports that actor Mark Miller [tv's Please Don't Eat The Daisies & The Patty Duke Show (pilot)] passed away on September 8.....
-
But I could be mistaken.
-
DR singdaw you are probably right - I am not a subscriber to either and couldn't tell them apart if DR VIXMOM's dental bill depended upon it.
-
Sadly, a lot of our stock of Covid test kits had to be trashed lately, as they were past their expiration dates.
Oh no, you didn't trash them. Did you check the extended dates first? They were extended between 6 months to a year. Keith didn't trust our expired ones were still good, until both the unexpired, and "expired" showed positive results.
-
I am very sad about the attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband by a zealot with a hammer. The Jan 6th mindset is not going away, at least in some circles.
I know :(

I hope she feels better.

Mark Miller had a long life.
-
I am appalled at the cost of DR VIXMOM's mouth fix - that's the price of a new car, at least.
Precisely, DR Jrand72.
Only thing is, it won't be HER new car. 8) :'(
-
DR Jane, I had not heard about the test efficacies being extended. Oh well - it's too late now.
-
Friday evening greetings!
I hope that DR Ginny will report on whether her picture window is fixed. At ruinous cost, no doubt.
The window is not fixed, but has been assessed and the work is in the scheduling system. The cost estimate was much less than we expected.
-
Huzzah!
-

I am sorry, I did mention it a long while back. I should have done so again.

My goodness, Vixmom. I'm so sorry to hear about your dental issues. How many implants does that buy you? I think my husband has had three so far.
That includes rebuilding my jaw bone, 4 implants each holding three teeth, three extractions and two or three crowns ( I’ve lost count)
-
That's astonishing, DR vixmom. Wish I could give you an in-person hug. Or two.

Agreed!!

DR Vixmom, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. When she was much older than you are now my mother was faced with a similar situation and decided she wouldn’t live long enough for it to be worth it. Not having the work done made the last 15 years of her life quite miserable.
-
Diabetes doctor is trying something new on me. Oh, joy.
Hugs, DR John G.
I am assuming the treatment does NOT involve the administration of cheesecake.
-
I cannot understand how, having survived cancer, corrective dental work is not covered by insurance. That is criminal.

We are watching the new Criterion release of Arsenic and Old Lace. I had forgotten the film was set on Halloween night.

I wonder if something could be made with a cranberry curd and lemon curd, in a swirl-type arrangement. That would be a sight!

I will leave it to you, DR John G. I'm not that adventurous in the kitchen.

Hmmm....
iTunes has the Antonio Banderas cast album of Company in Spanish.

A shame about your mother.

My only exercise all day was walking around the market this morning.
-
I was lucky that my evening walk I desperately needed was not in the rain.
-
It wasn't a very long walk, only 45 minutes.
-
I feel much better now, and very happy it stopped raining just before I left.
-
We are going to watch the last two episodes of The Sinner, season 1.

'night

Spiced bourbon aspic?

What's an aspic between friends>
-
You have been a busy bee, DR Ron Pulliam.
And yet, there is honey to show for it!
-
A tisket,
A tasket,
I bought a yellow aspic?
-
Well, that is good then, DR Ron Pulliam.
-
Hmmm....
iTunes has the Antonio Banderas cast album of Company in Spanish.
I saw that...hopefully, it'll be released on CD and not just MP3 download.
-
And we're off! It's the last Friday for A Murder is Announced!
-
Only a few more posts
-
Fritterin' away...
-
We can do this!
-
Without too much pain...
-
Well, others do have to read this stuff, but...
-
SEVEN!
-
Have a good show, DR George.
-
Good night, friends.

.
I didn’t like that film the first time I saw it. Time for a second viewing, I’m thinking. Please let us know what you think.
I thought it was fine the first time...mainly because it was so different. After I played Mortimer in an amateur play, I didn't much care for the story. I can watch it, and Grant does a remarkable number of double-takes
-
Good night, slapjaw!

I knew you needed a lot of work but didn't realize it was this much.
It’s mostly a result of the radiation although I was advised the chemo also took its toll.
However I knew this going into treatment and prefer to be a toothless old had than a young corpse with a full set of teeth

No!! :o
I hope the 6th day is his last day. Do you remember how many days you had covid before testing negative?
I believe I tested negative the 6th day, I’ve forgotten if you said he’s on a course of paxlovid or not. I started taking that the day I tested positive

That we don’t have a comprehensive national health insurance coverage is criminal in my opinion.

Oh well. Our new bed is arriving on the Morton so I must get to sleep

Goodnight folks

Sami is going to air on Amazon Prime - did I err somewhere?
-
What an exhausting but productive day. We spent about an hour recording Cindy's song. Then trekked downtown to some weird office building to shoot it. We got there a bit early so we went to a little cafe in the building and had sandwiches. The make-up lady was thirty minutes late, but we still got everything done and it's a cute location. We did a wider shot, a medium shot, and a closer shot and got everything we needed. It's really cute. And the character of Cindy's husband made his first appearance today. We never see him, it's all off-camera.
-
Then we came back here - I thought it would be horrendous coming home from downtown, and while it was slow going getting to the freeway, once we were out of downtown, we made really good time.
-
Then we got back here and shot the eight Face Time calls - as I told her it would, it only took an hour or so and would have taken less but she had to change tops for each call. I'm thrilled we got everything and she's thrilled to not have to worry about it anymore.
-
Had a small pepperoni pizza for food. It was good.
-
Sent the vids to Marshall's assistant and Karen will send the song vids to him tomorrow.
-
And how I think I deserve a couch break.
-
I just do.
-
I really, really do.
-
A tisket,
A tasket,
I bought a yellow aspic?
A yellow casket would be a more perfect rhyme
-
Went dancing tonight. Very tired.
-
Have a good show, DR George.
Thanks, Singdaw!
-
So far, so good! ;D
-
Sami is going to air on Amazon Prime - did I err somewhere?
Nice...I have Amazon Prime. :)
-

That's great!
-
And we're done!
-
We had a great show...I (finally!) made almost no noticeable mistakes! ;D
-
PAGE EIGHT DANCE!!
-
And NOW, I'm heading home.
Be back later.
-
Finished with my limited viewing.
-
Listening to the Tchaikovsky piano concerto with Mitropoulos conducting.
-
Not quite ready to write notes but will be in about ten minutes.
-
In about ten minutes I'll be ready.
-
Willing and Able.
-
Ready, Willing, and Able sounds like a law firm.
-
I'm home.
-
A couple of friends were in the audience tonight!
-
My friends Kevin and his wife Jim (that's her nickname ;D ) really enjoyed the show!
-
My sister, her boyfriend, and a friend she's had since high school (who loves Miss Marple stories) will be seeing the show on Sunday...our last performance.
-
Gratuitous Post #222!! :D
-
Tomorrow, I'm going to my mom's to spend some with her and my niece.
-
My sister and her boyfriend have other plans, so they won't be there.
-
New notes are up.
-
We might (mind you, I said might) play Phase 10, but I bought a new game of Sorry because my mom's copy is really old and all the cards are bent.
-
Up are new notes. And once again we must note - no TCB.
-
And you can't just buy new cards, so I had to buy a whole new game.
-
Fortunately, the game was on sale, so it wasn't expensive.
-
Amazon had a buy-two-get-a-third-for-free sale, so I actually got three, count 'em THREE games of Sorry for the price of two...and they were about $9 each!
