Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of a Twitter quitter, namely me, and now it is time for you to post until the tweeting cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: VISUALIZE!
-
Well, today will be the last performance of A Murder is Announced. It was a lot of fun, but even with my mistakes ::) everyone was very nice and supportive.
-
After the show, we strike everything, then it's officially done!
And now, I'm off to bed. Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Strange dreams last night about performing.
-
I think Mr. Musk will find out that he's got a hot potato on his hands.
-
In his hands?
-
In any case, a hot potato.
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR George, break a leg on your final performance!
-
I finished the Interlude yesterday, but I think I want to make a revision in the last 20 bars, so I'll write that today.
-
Beyond that, I've got no real plans for today. I need t play among the canned food shelves and organize them, and I neec to finally put Grandma's quilt on the bed for winter. It's getting cold and a sheet and duvet are not cutting it enough these days.
-
DR vixmom, great news about our new citizen's vote. That's fantastic!
-
Good morning, all.
-
If Elon Musk is involved, include me out, please.
-
.
-
Good morning to all.
-
Good morning!
-
I am pleased to announce that we both slept pretty well in the new bed
-
There’s going to be some more experimentation with the firmness and elevation of foot and head, but overall it was a success
-
It’s Reformation Sunday in the ELCA ( Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) church calendar so we are all supposed to wear red to church.
-
John G do you do that in your church as well ?
-
WellIhad better get going

But first Wordle

Happy Reformation, Vixmom. I forgot to wear red.

Except for the red jalapeños in my socks.

Is this a euphemism?
-
I'm trying out some newv oatmeal cookies: raisins are great, the cookie is soft and very chewable, but there's little to no flavor!
-
Kitty cleanup is over, and the bed has been winterized and made. Three helpful cats who wanted to be of assistance were no help atv all. Thatch stayed out of the way, Annabelle preferred to sit in the window and watch the hurly burly on 82nd Street, and Stella chased a bottle cap. Yet . . . whenever I needed to move or accomplish something like not stumble over the things on the floor, they were suddenly at me feet asnd in the way.
Go figure.
-
I would swear that 7/8 of my emails are election requests for money or my vote. I will be so happy after Nov. 9.
-
I think it's time to fix that Interlude ending.
-
Good morning, all.
-
A beautifully spooky e-card greeted me this morning.
Thank you, DR Elmore!
-
BTW, I've been looking ahead to see when I can take a day to drive down and work on getting books out of there. Is sometime around the middle of November too soon?
-
Congratulations to those 100% American vixes!
-
DR George, break a leg on your final performance!
Thanks, Larry!
-
If I were a twitterer, I'd be quitting too. I have a number of friends doing the same. They're going to something called mastadon (?).
-
Closing day vibes for DR George!
-
And back to rehearsal vibes for me this evening. Oy. Wish I had one more night off. Well, next Thursday thru Saturday are clear so that will be good.
-
Happy Sunday! There's a new Broadway Radio Show now available to stream. It's my conversation with actor/writer David Pevsner about his wonderful book Damn Shame: A Memoir of Desire, Defiance, and Show Tunes. David tackles show biz, sexuality, body shaming & ageism in this funny and also touching memoir. Check it out!

If all goes well for next Friday, I'll be watching a local college production of Bat Boy, something I haven't seen in years. It's supposed to be a good production and I know a couple of the musicians. I would like to have played it myself, but a couple of rehearsal dates didn't work.
By "goes well", I mean that they lost their first of two weekends because of positive Covid testing, even though no one had exhibited symptoms. So we still live in precarious times, and I have to take a deep breath and marvel at how lucky we were with Carrie.
-
Closing performance vibes for DR GEORGE.
-
Rehearsal vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.
-
Yes I have been in OUR TOWN - I played the alcoholic choir director who ends up in the cemetery.....
-
So I think today we will be going to see TICKET TO PARADISE.
-
Closing vibes for DR George.
-
I have wanted to see Bat Boy for a long time. Nobody’s done it locally.
-
Good morning!
-
I was once on Twitter, but I was banned for life.
Why?
I wished that the same horror would befall a Georgia minister who was wishing God-inflicted horrors upon all Democrats. I suggested that he and God were strangers, and that Satan was his god.
Apparently, that was a no-no.
I don't miss it.
-
Happily, I have a Zoom chat this afternoon.
Have a nice day.
-
I think I am a Twitter member, but I do not use the service.
-
BTW, I've been looking ahead to see when I can take a day to drive down and work on getting books out of there. Is sometime around the middle of November too soon?
Yes. I'd prefer it at the moment if it could happen in mid-January when I can actually stop caring for my eyes, timers, and eye drops.
-

I quit Twitter, which I never used, as soon as Musk announced his plans to buy it.

:)
-
I had to take a break from the score to do my eyedrops. I figure I might as well wait out the 30 minutes for the other set of drops before hobbling back to work.

Oh, no problem!! That will be way better for me as well. We'll touch base on it after the first of the year.

~~~FINAL PERFORMANCE (AND STRIKE) VIBES~~~ for DR George & Company!!!!!!!!!
-
From John:
The people I poured wine for really liked the way I handled the wines and gave me two, a chardonnay and a pinot noir.
Nice. Now I want a video of you pouring wine.
-
DR Laura I am glad Trunk & Treat was a success. It sounded a fun time for the children as well as the adults.
-
DR Ron I moving here from the country I was very excited the recycle bins are in the garage, and someone else hauls it away.
-
From John:
Never have seen a skunk on the property before.
Wow, just this house or anywhere you have lived?
-
DR Singdaw I am glad your social events were relatively painless even if you didn't enjoy them.
-
More covid free vibes for DR Singdaw, and everyone.
-
From Bruce:
Then I went to CVS for Claritin-D - the machine wouldn't allow me to be the large pack of twenty-four hour pills - I don't think it's been less than two weeks since buying the Mucinex-D - then again, they were having a lot of issues with their machines. It certainly allowed me to be the 12-hour version but I didn't notice she gave me the smallest pack - ten tablets - if I have to take two a day, that's only five days. Ridic.
What machine?
I thought of you when I had to show ID to purchase over the counter cough medicine for Keith which, as I told him, didn't work.
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! While waiting for Richard to get home from church, I've recreated the opening of Act II of "Look Homeward, Angel" as directed by DR Elmore in 1977. As the lights came up I, as Helen Gant, was sweeping leaves off the steps of the family home.
-
From Vixmom:
So are we! He told everyone it was his first time and the guy working the machine shook his hand everyone else congratulated him and there were a few who clapped when he was done
That is very nice.
-
From TCB:
Yes, I played the Stage Manager.
Excellent casting.
Vibes that New Compound to destroys the MRSA Superbug can begin helping people soon.
I saw one not-very-good local production a few years ago. ::) It didn't help that I don't love the show.
Tonight former DR WFO and I are going to see Jason Graae
Enjoy your evening.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about eight and a half hours of sleep.
-
And now - I must have a ME day, but first - vibes to all of us.
-
DR Elmore, thank you for the e-card!
-
I was channel surfing, and I came across a PBS folksinger reunion with the Smothers Brothers, Judy Collins, and others. I caught part of The Limeliters' set, and they sang one of the funniest thinhgs I've heard in some time. I found it on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDRb528As9I
-
DR Elmore, thank you for the e-card!
You're welcome!
-
Trick or treat?
-
Good afternoon.
-
Give Jason a big sloppy kiss from us.
-
Have you met Jason in person?
-
Because if you haven't and he doesn't know who you are, that could be awkward.
-
I have never twittered. It seem as though it is nothing but problematic.
-
Trick or treat?
;D I love it.
-
The first fancy decorated cake I made was of Cookie Monster. Bryan insisted I get it for Craig's first birthday.
-
Because if you haven't and he doesn't know who you are, that could be awkward.
;D
-
I have never twittered. It seem as though it is nothing but problematic.
I agree.
-
I am confused as to why my weather app on my tablet says "Hazardous Seas Warning".
-
What Seas?
-
Is our river going to suddenly have sea sized waves and sink the little boats out there?
-
;D
-
Guess I should think about food.
-
I'm using the think system.
-
I think, therefore I am.
-
Have you met Jason in person?
No, this will be the first time
-
Thank you Elmore for the cute Ecard!
-
Love that you are going to see Jason.
-
He funny long time!
-
I'm not sure how I would feel about receiving this as a birthday card.
-
My FB feed a just one saliva-inducing recipe/food shot after another. Sigh.
-
If I win the next 1 billion Powerball drawing, which is impossible since I don't play, I'll hire someone to make these foodstuffs for me.
-
And on THAT note,
-
Page Five.
-
Unseasonably warm here for the last day of October.
-
One year here (in the 1970s?) there was 2.5 feet of snow on Halloween.
-
I like this idea.
-
I think, therefore I am.
I'm pink, therefore I'm spam. :))
-
Using the think system, I had Panda Express, and now I think I'm very full.
-
I think I'll sit on my couch like so much full fish.
-
I think I may watch something.
-
I think that was enough food for the day and evening.
-
Keith is feeling worse today :(
-
From John:
The people I poured wine for really liked the way I handled the wines and gave me two, a chardonnay and a pinot noir.
Nice. Now I want a video of you pouring wine.
I got five bottles today.
-
Keith is feeling worse today :(
Vibes for Keith.
Out walking I stopped and talked to a man I know that lives on his boat at our marina. I asked him how we can have a hazardous seas warning here. He said he also saw that but hadn't taken the time to explore it farther. Mostly, understandably, he watches for the wind speed.
-
He said those warning encompass a very large area and it is probably meant for the mouth of the river, not our stretch here.
-
From John:
Never have seen a skunk on the property before.
Wow, just this house or anywhere you have lived?
Just this house.
-
Thank you DR John.
Last night, one of the dance students surprised Joy and us assistants with Halloween placemats and napkins that she’d made. They’re sweet.
It was slower today. The busiest booth in our area was handing out a carrot juice cocktail with gin in it. It was quite tasty. Whale Gin.
I am not sure I would want gin in my carrot juice, but then I don't care for gin. I doubt I would say no to tasting it.
The placemats are very cute.
Sorry to hear about DH Keith. It's got to get better soon!
You are still negative, right, DR Jane?
I have avoided it so far, but I think it's pretty inevitable that we're all going to get it.
I hope that your trip remains unaffected, DR Jane.
Watching a docuthing about the Game Stop stock debacle - now this documentary has none of the Netflix nonsense.
I'm back from rehearsal which let out a little early when our director/composer/lyricist tripped off the steps from stage to audience and his face landed on the back of the first row of seats. It was very scary for a few minutes, because we didn't know exactly how he'd hit -- whether nose or lips or teeth -- and he was bleeding pretty impressively. But they got it under control within a few minutes, and he's across the street in the ER of the local hospital getting checked out.
One of the cast members had knocked out a couple of teeth in a theatrical accident some years ago (in a show I happened to be playing in), and we both immediately feared that that had happened tonight. But he was doing better within a few minutes, and he'll get thoroughly checked out before leaving the hospital.
-
Scary story, ChasSmith.
-
DR Ron I moving here from the country I was very excited the recycle bins are in the garage, and someone else hauls it away.
I do understand. We had recycle bins here, too, and they were picked up every fourth Thursday. Unfortunately, the town could not afford to sustain the recyclable pickup service. We have been instructed to put our recyclables in with our regular trash.
I just can't do that, so I load mine in the back of my car and drive them to the recycle center (where all sorts of disposables are accepted.
I saw a completely wonderful film this afternoon on Amazon Prime.
"Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont" is the film. It stars Joan Plowright and Rupert Friend. Anna Massey has a supporting role.
it was delightful and sad but so worth seeing.
Oh, my goodness! :o
-
Glad he was at least feeling better fairly quickly!
-
All right, everybody. Thank you very much. It's all over.
That was one of my last lines, delivered right after the murder (who shall NOT be named here) is arrested!
-
And now, the show is over. It actually was a lot of fun (for the most part), with good people, and it definitely was the role that really stretched me as an actor.
-
So Bill and I didn't see Jason's show after all
-
Instead we made some impromptu alternate plans
-
Bill and I last spoken on Thursday when we decided to go together.
-
I said I would call today to firm.up our departure time
-
I called around 1 but I got his machine.
-
It was a glorious day so i figured he was outside abx fidnt hear the phone
-
I called again a coupke hours later
-
Then again
-
And again
-
Finally at 6 I decided I was just going over
-
The car was in the driveway but he wasnt answering the phine or doorbell
-
I have a key, so I used it
-
Yelled for him
-
And he called "Im up here"
-
He was laying on the floor
-
Where he had fallen THURSDAY night
-
Three frigging days
-
The EMTS and the cop that responded to the 911 call were great
-
We are still at the hospital waiting for him to be moved to a room.on the surgical floor
-
Broken hip
-
And of course no food since Thursday
-
Fortunately there was a bottle of water within reach which he rationed over the 3 days
-
His spirits are relatively good
-
They just advised they won't have a room on the surgical floor until morning so I'm heading home
-
Oh my, Vixmom! I'm so glad you went over to check on him.
-
Been there...done that. ;)
We had a scary moment last night. My bedroom has a sliding glass door that leads out to the patio. Last night, at around 3:00 a.m., something or someone smacked the sliding glass door on the outside. I sat bolt upright, to find all the panels of the blinds flying wildly in the air and both cats off the bed.i nearly called the EMT’s for my heart.
-
For the next hour, Buddy cried and growled, and I am sure that Sasha would have too, if she could talk. I have no idea if it was a person on the balcony, or a cat or dog or raccoo, or perhaps a precursor to today’s wind storm.
-
But we are all safe, nothing broken except some dreams, and I hope we don’t have a repeat of this event.
And now for something completely different: I just finished filling out my ballot!
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've perused them.
-
I'll drop it into the drop box that's in front of the Tumwater branch of the library, which is only about a block and a half from my house. :)
-
And so must you.
-
You really must.
-
It's the thing to do.
-
Yes, BK's notes must ALWAYS be perused!
-
You'll be praised and lauded.
-
And feted.
-
Surely everyone could use some fete.
-
I know I could.
-
Is someone trying to gaslight me.
-
And feted.
Will there be feta while being feted?
-
Surely we must be on page nine already.
Whew!
PAGE NINE DANCE!!
