Well, you've read the notes, the notes had adventure and bedsheets, and now it is time for you to post until the adventurous cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ENCAPSULATE!
-
Video has been watched and thoroughly enjoyed! Amazing!
-
I, also, enjoyed the video.
-
It's so clever and as Penn says, they couldn't even figure out the plot of it. I'd go see this guy.
-
These vids with Penn and Teller come up every now and then and are always fun. Don't know what the show was, though.
-
I loved that I paired the speakers - but I have to unpair when I'm done, because they of course won't work with the computer until they're unpaired. But it was so simple to do.
-
That's great, BK. I've never had Bluetooth speakers, but a couple of times just trying to pair my earbuds with my phone was a hassle!
-
One time they just unpaired on their own, and when I tried to re-pair them, I could only get one or the other to pair...not both at the same time! :o It took watching a 10 minute YouTube video and another 20 minutes of trying over and over again before I got BOTH of them to pair. ::)

Good morning, all!
-
This is another Access-a-Ride day, and I hope all goes smoothly since I'm seeing a new doctor, a vascular surgeon. My podiatrist wants the veins in my legs checked out since she's concerned about circulation to my feet.
-
I missed my original ride, thanks to an Access-a-Ride screw up.
-
Last night we watched two more episodes of Martin Chuzzlewit. I don't know if we'll watch election coverage or the last Chuzzlewit episode tonight. I'm awfully concerned about this election.
-
DR TCB, I'm happy your surgery is now scheduled. I hope all goes well for you as well as for your brother-in-law.
-
DRs Ginny and singdaw, I'm really happy the wind did not blow either of you away.
-
What's become of Dear Lurker Iris? I miss her.
-
DR vixmom, when you next see or speak to DR WFO, tell him I send my love.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Re: today's election. I am hoping for the best, but fear the worst.
-
And if folks don't vote, well.... they'll get what they deserve. And drag all the rest of us along with them.
-
I am glad for the two wins for BK yesterday - with the sheets and with the speakers.
-
~~~TRANSPORT VIBES~~~ for DR elmore3003!!!!
Tuesday morning greetings! The Glass Guru is coming to repair our window this morning.
DR TCB, belated vibes for your brother-in-law.
And for you, too. Hope your carpal tunnel surgery goes smoothly.
I missed my original ride, thanks to an Access-a-Ride screw up.
DR Elmore, I hold my breath every time you mention AaR…
-
Good morning, all.
-
Our warm Indian Summer fall days are gone. It was 40 this morning. Heat's on.
-
I'm taking my sweet time getting up. I'll wait till more people are at work, then I'll go vote.
-
Vibes for everyone
-
I am terrified about this election
A lot like a colonoscopy.
-
Good morning, all.
Another vote for the magician video.
Elmore, I haven’t read Martin Chuzzlewit in ages. It’s the only Dickens I don’t really remember, except the tale comes to America.
BIOPSY VIBES FOR DR JOHN!
That got delayed a week. But I do have a doctor’s appointment later today. So, let’s transfer those vibes.
-
Good afternoon!
-
Wordle: 4/6
-
I am home. The AAR driver this morning was about 10 minutes late from the scheduled time, which is really good for AAR, and I would say he was the absolutely best AAR driver I have ever encountered. He was really fabulous in taking care of an old invalid.
The ride back was a full 30 minutes late. He was okay.
-
Now, for Dr Corroccio and his staff: A+++++! I liked them all very much.
I arrived early, thanks to my AAR driver being so close to my pickup time, filled out numerous forms, and then saw a nice young lady who took my blood pressure, which she said was very good, and told me to take off my pants, shoes, and socks. The the doctor's assistant. Damian, interviewed me. Then a lovely young Asian woman named Ming, had me lie on the table and she tested the veins and arteries in my legs and feet. The consisted of wrapping my legs and feet from hip to toe in inflatable wraps much like the wrap for checking blood pressure. Various sections inflated to a painful degree as they applied pressure to that area of a leg.
This took maybe 15 minutes. When it was over, I asked how it went and she said the doctor would tell me.
-
Then I saw Dr Corroccio, who told me the circulation in my feet and legs was really. really good. He was very happy with the test results. So was I!
-
That is good news, DR elmore3003.
-
So the winning Powerball ticket was apparently sold in California.
Well, I guess I didn't win!
BIOPSY VIBES FOR DR JOHN!
That got delayed a week. But I do have a doctor’s appointment later today. So, let’s transfer those vibes.
I would be frustrated having to wait another week. Vibes transferred and more for the biopsy report.
I'm up, I'm up - new sheets and ten hours of uninterrupted sleep. Okay!
-
Always hope for the best and forget fear, which simply breeds fear. Stay positive. :)
-
I woke up Sunday to discover a lump under my left arm. Yesterday I was glad to get an appointment with my doctor for today. Except my doctor referred me to another doctor. Thankfully, he has an opening Thursday. Maybe I’ll get an answer then. In the meantime, an antibiotic is in my future.
Nice. I am glad you like your new sheets. Macy's has so many all cotton, which ones did you get?
True but I also like to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
-
The lurker has returned!
-
Thank you, Jane, Larry, and John for missing me. 😊
I have been very busy doing volunteer work for Wes Moore, our Democratic nominee for Governor of Maryland.
-
He is running against a lunatic named Dan Cox, who participated in the 1/6 insurrection, denies that Biden is our legitimate President, and is a major supporter of QAnon conspiracies.
-
Even our outgoing Republican governor, Larry Hogan, calls Dan Cox a nut, and is recommending that we not vote for him.
-
Am feeling very confident that Wes Moore will win tonight.
-
I was speaking with several other volunteers who are originally from New York, who are very concerned about this election.
-
Fingers crossed that Kathy Hochul defeats Lee Zeldin tonight.
-
I need time to catch up.
-
Jane, I am very sorry that your trip to see your granddaughter was postponed.
Do you have a new travel date?
-
TCB, so pleased that you’ve scheduled surgery. Am confident that it will be a solution to your ongoing pain issues.
-
Have been phone banking for many hours today, so will log out and watch the election returns.
-
Wishing everyone, and our country, a good evening.
-
A candid admission.
I have no luck when it comes to folding fitted sheets.
-
So, I use 2 flat sheets.
I hear you laughing. But I’m fine with this solution, odd as it may sound.
Not meant to be done by one. And sometimes two.
I’m almost up to Do I Hear a Waltz? in Shy. All I want to do is go home and read.
-
Rain is coming down pretty good out there. I'm in here and am staying put.
-
Thank goodness Dear Reader Iris is back.
-
But she was doing good work for the right side of the political spectrum.
-
Jane, the sheets I got are a famous brand, but the thing they came in is in the garage - I'll find out the brand when the rain abates.
-
I will.
-
And now perhaps I should order some rainy day food.
-
Really raining. Boy, did we need it.
-
Very good news, Larry!!
Darn...me, neither. :-\
-
Of course, it really could be that I didn't buy a ticket...as usual.
VIBES, indeed!
-
On the ground.
I don't think I'm going to turn on the television tonight. I don't think we'll know anything definitive, anyway, and I can use a break.
-
But, in the meantime...
-
Five.
-
Welcome back, DR Dear Lurker Iris.
-
Dear Lurker Iris - my niece and her husband live in Point Of Rocks, Maryland. Are you neighbors?
-
Good news from DR ELMORE.
-
Well I guess I can stop buying Powerball tickets for awhile......
-
I like the local election coverage on one station and the national coverage on a different station.....
All we know for sure is that if a certain one of the parties loses, they will claim voter fraud and declare themselves the winners and cause chaos for the next year.....
-
LA has been crying about drought for a very long time - over and over and over again. They get a day of rain (currently not raining) and about two hours of heavy rain, and what do we get? An emergency warning on all cell phones about flash flooding, don't go out, this is a disaster. Sorry, idiots, you can't have it all ways from Sunday.
-
I got free tickets today for the Champions of Magic tour. Sadly no one seems to want to ho with me.
-
Waiting for pills.
-
The right-wing MAGA extremists are out in force on YouTube, already proclaiming a red tsunami without anything to base it on. I hope and pray these delusional and cocky cretins get what's coming to them.
-
The lurker has returned!
Yay :)
-
Am feeling very confident that Wes Moore will win tonight.
I hope so.
-
Thank you, Jane, Larry, and John for missing me. 😊
I have been very busy doing volunteer work for Wes Moore, our Democratic nominee for Governor of Maryland.
I think it is great you have been volunteering.
-
Fingers crossed that Kathy Hochul defeats Lee Zeldin tonight.
All fingers crossed.
-
Just over the border from me, fingers crossed Tina Kotek is the next governor of Oregon.
-
Jane, I am very sorry that your trip to see your granddaughter was postponed.
Do you have a new travel date?
Thank you. Yes, we shall try again on the 17th.
-
A candid admission.
I have no luck when it comes to folding fitted sheets.
;D
-
So, I use 2 flat sheets.
I hear you laughing. But I’m fine with this solution, odd as it may sound.
Lots of people do that. I prefer fitted vs tucking.
-
I always laugh at demonstrations of the best way to fold fitted sheets. They always use twin size. I want that demonstration with a king size sheet.
-
I woke up Sunday to discover a lump under my left arm. Yesterday I was glad to get an appointment with my doctor for today. Except my doctor referred me to another doctor. Thankfully, he has an opening Thursday. Maybe I’ll get an answer then. In the meantime, an antibiotic is in my future.
Dermatologist
Thanks and good luck. Maybe you will get lucky and it will be removed on Thursday.
-
Rain is coming down pretty good out there. I'm in here and am staying put.
For a pleasant change it didn't rain here today.
-
But she was doing good work for the right side of the political spectrum.
For sure.
-
Jane, the sheets I got are a famous brand, but the thing they came in is in the garage - I'll find out the brand when the rain abates.
Thanks. Hmmm, famous brand.
-
I don't think I'm going to turn on the television tonight. I don't think we'll know anything definitive, anyway, and I can use a break.
Keith had it on it the kitchen and thankfully turned it off.
-
Dear Lurker Iris - my niece and her husband live in Point Of Rocks, Maryland. Are you neighbors?
That is about an hour from Craig.
-
LA has been crying about drought for a very long time - over and over and over again. They get a day of rain (currently not raining) and about two hours of heavy rain, and what do we get? An emergency warning on all cell phones about flash flooding, don't go out, this is a disaster. Sorry, idiots, you can't have it all ways from Sunday.
LOL, best to warn though since it is a possibility.
-
I got free tickets today for the Champions of Magic tour. Sadly no one seems to want to ho with me.
Will you go by yourself?
-
When we were first married I used to go to the laundromat by myself. I had no clue how to fold a fitted sheet. This woman watching me was laughing so hard I thought she was going to fall over. Then she kindly instructed me on how to fold the sheet.
-
Jane, brand is Damask.
-
Damask, I tell you.
-
I have done absolutely nothing today. I'll do some liner notes later tonight. Rain makes me a bit lethargic.
-
Page six.
-
Page six, I tell you.
-
I have never purchased a Powerball ticket.
-
Did someone win the billion bucks?
-
I am sorry Charles Booker didn't win.
-
Didn't win what - the million bucks? Or the election? And if the election, I'm not sure how anything could be called this early.
-
Jane, brand is Damask.
Thanks. I never paid attention to the fact that Damask makes Macy's brand name sheets. I am guessing they are the Supima style, 550 thread count. I have yet to go to the store to feel them. I should.
-
Didn't win what - the million bucks? Or the election? And if the election, I'm not sure how anything could be called this early.
I was surprised and hope I misread that Paul Rand won.
Thank you Bruce :)
They have not reported this yet, but…
Wes Moore has been elected the Governor of Maryland.
Flipped to Democrat from Republican. 😊
-
No big election shockers so far tonight.
Cautiously optimistic.
-
Rand Paul did win in Kentucky.
Not a surprise, but, blech.
-
Jane, great cartoon!
-
Updating now.
Be back later.
-
Still too early to call the New York Governor race.
Yikes.
-
JRand, Point of Rocks is right on the border of Maryland and Virginia on the Potomac River. It’s about 90 minutes west of where I live.
Beautiful town!
-
Thank you for the welcome backs.
Finally home.
-
Beautiful moon tonight.
-
Onward!
I’m too scared to look at election returns.
-
Sadly no one seems to want to ho with me.
I would ho with you, DR John G.
DR Jane's cartoon is quite apt. Apt, I tell you.
I’m too scared to look at election returns.
How does an idiot like Marco Rubio keep winning? I just do not understand it.
I’d ho with you, but not sure I’d get any takers
I’m really scared
Nothing to watch - I tried Collateral with Tom Cruise, directed by Michael Mann - just terrible.
-
In the what do I know department: Collateral was a big hit in 2004. Then again, I have never liked a single thing Michael Mann has directed.
-
I just haven't
-
Not really.
Trying to stay away from the Tube of You because it's a cesspool and the media delights in being stupid because it gets them the ratings they so crave.
Trying to stay away from the Tube of You because it's a cesspool and the media delights in being stupid because it gets them the ratings they so crave.
After work, I did some shopping for my sister.
-
She needed some paper to make some snowflake decorations for a bazaar that she'll be involved with on Saturday.
-
I went to Office Depot in Lacey and got said paper, then brought it to her.
-
After that, I thought I'd go to the local Denny's to dine and read my Kindle.
-
I got there and there was a handwritten sign saying that they were going to close at 7:30...I got there at 7:22. ::)
-
Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
So, I came to Panda Express and have been here since then, dining but not reading my Kindle.
-
I've just been playing a game on my phone. :)
-
Anyway, I got their Beyond Orange Chicken, but was able to get some fresh because it looked kind of dry.
-
I also got some Kung Pao Chicken and it most definitely was NOT fresh. :o
-
I almost wanted to vomit on the ground! :P
-
I also got a third entree that wasn't as bad as the Kung Pao Chicken, but just good enough to consume, but since the third entree was free (I have a discount card good for a whole year!), I didn't get a replacement order.
-
But next time, I'll make sure that it's fresh!
-
So, I have been very easily avoiding any and all news.
-
I'm going with the "Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we may die" state of mind.
;D
PAGE EIGHT DANCE!!
I shall refrain from posting the bad news.
Unbelievable.
Patty Murray has won her Senate election in Washington.
Don’t worry, vixmom.
Kathy Hochul just posted on her Twitter account, thanking New York for electing her.
Twitter is usually a few steps ahead.
Ho ho ho. Who am I calling a ho?
-
I managed to get 100 pages of Shy read. About 50 to go.
-
Mary Rodgers’s comments on Barbara Barrie were surprising.
-
DR John, wishing you good luck on your appointment with the dermatologist.
-
I just received SHY today.
Looking forward to reading it.
-
Well, it looks like we won’t know election results for weeks.
-
And, California is going to probably be the determining factor.
-
Wishing everyone a good night.
-
Nice to see you Iris!
-
Thanks, vixmom! 🤗
-
We really have to pray for Warnock and Fetterman - we need those wins.
-
Send our patented vibes and xylophones to 'em.
-
Yes, gonna be a while until results are final.
-
Whar'd everybody go?
-
Whar?
-
I see no one.
-
No one sees me.
-
Thus far, I've had a cheeseburger and some fries and a few hours later a bagel. Perhaps some peanuts are in order.
-
Am listening to this truly amazing Hans Rosbaud set of French music from France, thanks to Blue Tooth. Right now, a great piece by one of my favorites, Darius Milhaud. We've already had Debussy and Ravel, Roussel and Ibert. I just can't get over how good the sound is - these are all from radio broadcasts but sound absolutely pristine.
-
Perhaps some peanuts are in order, which is also the title of my next novel.
-
Is it up to me to get us to page ten, yes or no?
-
Almost time for the late-night posse to show up.
-
Giddyup.
-
Well, it looks like we won’t know election results for weeks.
But, of course, the Republicans will call foul (and wose) because the results won't be available tonight. ::)
-
Seriously giving peanuts some thought.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
But if the Democrats were to cry foul? How DARE they! The Republicans have turned into a joke - a dangerous joke but a joke. It didn't used to be that way.
-
What about them peanuts, he asked?
-
Whar'd everybody go?
I got a text from a friend, wanting to know if I wanted to visit, so I visited.
-
It was nice to ketchup. We hadn't seen each other since last year.
-
What about them peanuts, he asked?
Peanuts are good. What kind? Salted? Dry roasted? Honey roasted?? Inquiring minds want to know!
-
I have succumbed to the peanuts and they have succumbed to me.
-
But first, I need to get myself home after a little late night shopping.
I WILL be back...later. ;D
-
Normal Planter's salted peanuts. Very tasty.
-
I am so glad that I managed to stay awake.
-
Because…
-
John Fetterman just won his election!!
Oz has gone down in defeat.
-
John Fetterman just won his election!!
Oz has gone down in defeat.
Halle-freakin'-looya!! :D
-
This was a particularly emotional moment for me, and for many others.
-
He just made a powerful and perfect acceptance speech.
Had tears in my eyes.
-
Anyone that has followed that race closely probably is having a similar reaction.
-
Wow!
They just announced that Gretchen Whitmer has been re-elected as governor of Michigan.
This is turning into a very good night!
Apologies to everyone not interested in this election.
It’s difficult for me to contain my enthusiasm.
Feel free to skip over my posts tonight!
There are many things that I haven’t learned to do on HHW, such as how to add photos, cartoons, videos, news items, theater stuff, etc.
Am not a tech expert, and I use an iPad.
Hoping to be educated by the experts on HHW.
Will take notes.
I've spent a little time on Facebook telling the negative Nellies to shut up and stop spreading their endless negativity - I said, remain positive and positive things come to be. Spout your stupid negativity and you get exactly that. I do not know why this is such a hard lesson for people to learn. While we definitely know a handful of results tonight, most won't be known for a few days, especially where there's a lot of mail-in voting - those tend to be heavily Democrat and those ballots are counted last.
And that is something.
The peanuts were okay.
I think it's still kind of drizzling outside.
I gotta tell you...
Gee, I'm close to 118,000 postings. Can that happen this evening?
-
Probably not - perhaps tomorrow.
-
For tomorrow is another day.
Notes up in one minute.
Gee, I'm close to 118,000 postings. Can that happen this evening?
-
New notes are up.
Up are new notes.
-
Don't close the day JUST BEFORE we hit 300!
-
But we're so damn close to 300 posts that we may as well get there.
-
Very soon now.
-
Gratuitous Post #301!! ;D
-
And I believe we just did 300 postings, our biggest posting day in many moons.
-
New notes are up.
-
Yup!
-
Up are new notes.
