Oh, dear. Must go revise the notes - don't read yet - it's our damn ANNIVERSARY! Twenty-one years, baby, beginning year twenty-two if I'm doing the math correctly.
What a load of ausholen!
This kookaburra says, "Good morning."
The view from DR elmore3003's window:
Name change alert - I have changed Jesse's name to Priscilla - so that I now have Elvis & Priscilla.....
Neither of them have eaten much of the hanging treat stick when I am in the room - evidence is that they nosh when I am out of site.

Let's see if I understand this.
Jesse now identifies as Priscilla. Is that correct?
That's quite some goings on there on that quiet little street in Indiana, DR Jrand72. 8)
But lacking the tales of how you got here, which are always enjoyable.
DR elmore3003 - it's nothing sinister. Just a cityscape created from radiators. I figured of all of us, you'd have the closest view out your window to that one.
But lacking the tales of how you got here, which are always enjoyable.
John Fetterman just won his election!!
Oz has gone down in defeat.
And this is pretty cool (but it has nothing to do with birthdays, or even HHW's anniversary). A couple of days ago, I drove through KFC and actually paid with cash. In my change was this 1954 wheat-back penny!
And here's the wheat back:
I am so glad to have met all you fine people!
So now I know that my niece and her husband and baby girl live one hour from Craig and ninety minutes from Iris!

What I want to know is whether Priscilla made some sort of non-binary announcement or whether Jack get an extra-powerful magnifying glass and discovered this.
On the plus side, I have gotten all my insurance cards, including dental/vision/hearing.
Things may start looking up in near future.

The postman didn't ring twice. He stealthily drove up to the garage and left me a lovely package from BK with the last Indiegogo item and three CDs. Thank you, sir!
What I like about the mid-terms results: There was not a RED WAVE, and as Joe Scarborough said this morning, Donald J. had his ass handed to him.
The election is not over yet. It will be a tense thing for another few days, I think, till certain key races are decided. Stay positive. As Ron said, the cocky Red Wave people did not get their cockiness fulfilled and that was hugely important.
And here's the wheat back:
Nice, thanks for sharing both sides.
I am so glad to have met all you fine people!
I am glad to have met you.
More good news.
"Russia abandons Ukrainian city of Kherson in major retreat"
Wednesday afternoon greetings! While most of the Ohio election results were not to my liking, I am aware of 2 bright spots:
1) 18 of the 19 public library levies PASSED
2) the renewal levy for Sinclair Community College in Dayton PASSED overwhelmingly.
Maybe there's a little hope for our state...
Amazon sheets arrived - color shown on the site (taupe) was a beige-type of hue - sent was a dark brown, so returning it tomorrow.
We are getting some of BK's leftover rain.
Not far from 118,000 postings.
In 1938, this night was the beginning of Kristallnacht, a Nazi event I'm sure every MAGA moron would like to celebrate.
No bread.
Parakeet gender is told - after a certain age - by the color of their nostrils above the beak.
Priscilla has WHITE - ELVIS has blue.....it is usually not abundantly evident until about three months or so....
My postman told me that the guy guzzling wine straight out of the bottle is renaming his birds.

Interesting. Now how do you avoid babies?

Play Tom Cruise movies. That’ll kill any amorous feelings.
I saw the optometrist yesterday. He is very thorough. Most eye exams are an hour or less. He spent about two hours with me -- and I didn't even have many questions! I'm glad to have found him. The sunglasses he made for me last year are wonderful!
Yay, Tina Kotek will be the new governor of Oregon. I hope she does an excellent job.
Fingers crossed.
He was a Democrat, so on the positive side, the voters would've rather had a dead Democrat than a live republican. :))
DR Jane, Larry Hogan was a pretty decent governor for a Republican.
He and Trump were on very poor terms.
I really like our newly elected governor, Wes Moore.
Do you know how Craig feels about it?
I live in a suburb of Baltimore County near Towson.
Where does Craig live?
I didn’t get the chance to meet Wes Moore, unfortunately.
He is highly intelligent and very charismatic from what I’ve heard and observed.
Moore and his wife live in Guilford, a beautiful and very expensive neighborhood not too far from Johns Hopkins. They are extremely wealthy.
Jane, I lived and worked in Silver Spring for several years when I attended the Univ. of Maryland. I love that neighborhood.
Jane, I worked at a movie theater during college called The Silver. It is now the AFI Silver Theater and Cultural Center. I wonder if Craig has been there.
The history of the Silver Theater is fascinating. Check out their website, The AFI Silver Cultural Center. It was built in 1938, and greatly expanded and renovated, with wonderful screenings and programming.
Thank you, everyone, for tolerating my frenzied election updates last night.
I realize that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea!
Vixmom, any updates on how Bill is doing?

He seemed improved tonight. Of course he is still in a great deal of pain from the broken femur and the PT is painful. But he seems to be recovering from the flu. I was terrified he was going to get pneumonia.

I can usually outrun them
I was working at a law firm ( 4 jobs ago now!) and stuck on eternal hold with a bank I was dealing with .
Up popped a sentence mentioning my full maiden name written by none other than WFO
Once he got the joke and figured out it was me he encouraged me to stay
, saying he was sure I would enjoy the people and their posts
Congratulations on your new posting plateau, Jane!
As usual, Bill was right!

CONGRATULATIONS, DR Jane, on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!
As usual, Bill was right!

Thank you!
The people here have been there to celebrate some wonderful times with me and provide support for some of the most challenging moments of my life, and I love you all.
I love you all.
I love you all.
It is reciprocal.
Congrats to DR JANE on her millstone.
Well....I'm not sure how I will avoid having an egg show up in the cage one day......but I do not think that parakeets breed in captivity so it will probably just be there until I take it away.
This happened with another pair of birds we had decades ago.

He asked me to thank everyone for the vibes and to keep them coming.
Wow, where is DR George when I need him ;)

Nothing would please me more than to have her ousted.
I love you all.
It is reciprocal.
Big ol’ circle of it.
I believe Tom of Oz passed on. I think either der Brucer or S. Woody White passed. And, of course, Susan Gordon.
Can I reach 119,000 postings by morning?
Will I sleep through until morning with this McDonald's sitting in my tummy not digesting?
