Today is the birthday of the oldest daughter of my friend Margo!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well, but I'd love a morning where I could sleep in as long as I wanted without the interference of three felines.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And happy Valentine's Day to those who celebrate.
-
Today I have more receipt sorting and printing.

Why would anyone want to eat glitter?

Well, I guess it would have the benefit of giving you sparkly you-know-whats.

When Valentine's Day falls on Taco Tuesday...

Do you have tacos in your cupboard, BK?

Went to bed before 9PM, but could not fall asleep before midnight. And here I am.

Had a strange dream about being asked to weddings all of a sudden and being asked to dance in a kind of line dance. I was getting tired of doing that over and over. But I met someone and we fell in love.
I don’t usually dream romantic dreams.

I need to get to PT soon.

I’m afraid this is going to be unpleasant. The finger is more swollen than yesterday. And it’s early, so it’s stiff.
-
Sorry, DR John G.
-
So fascinating reading all the Sami behind-the-scenes stuff.

Finger PT vibes for DR John G.

I had a doozy of a dream last night. I dreamed that I was helping BK on an animated film based on Greek mythology that he was making. My parents had flown in just to see what was going on.

Good morning!

Friedrich Cerha, who completed the editing and orchestration of the third act of Berg's Lulu, has died at 96.

Vibes for DR JOHN G.

I, too, am enjoying reading about all of the projects that MR BK has going on.
-
DR IRIS - what a wonderful Glen Campbell story.
I still have many of his LPs (too late to return them, I guess) HA!
-
Last week I watched a movie from 1959 titled Crime & Punishment USA starring/introducing Mr. George Hamilton.
I think it was filmed partially in Ocean Park.....I don't know if MR BK has seen this particular opus. Most of the OP scenes are closeups of the actors, so you don't get to see much detail.

Yesterday I cleaned the bird cage and pulled out the desk where it sets to clean properly behind it.
I could build whole new parakeet with all the feathers I found.

Well, it's time for me to sit down at the plastics and warm up with those couple of songs.
And then I must shower and be off to a rehearsal.
-
Thank you, all, for the vibes. The finger will get better. I’m certain. I think I am certain. I tell myself that.

Mr. McGuire might have a word about that. One word.

Well kids, it's time for me to get to rehearsal where I'll be Carrying the Banner to Santa Fe so The World Will Know I am King of New York. That's the Bottom Line, right? Watch What Happens. We'll see how far I actually get with that.
-
Just a little tip for your lovers out there planning on champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries.

I see what you did there, DR ChasSmith. :)

Yitzak Perlman is performing next Tuesday at the theater where I usher. I was on the wait list and really want to see the concert. I remembered I have three overrides, which were the prize if you ushered, I think, 150 shows.
So, I asked if those are still good. The answer was yes.
-
Then I was asked where I wanted to be stationed. I remembered that the last time he was here, he had audience members on the stage with an usher strictly for them. So that’s what I asked for, with up front being a backup.
-
I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep.
-
I was bad - started a movie and then decided to just finish it and then it took a while to fall asleep - at six.
-
Valentine’s Day greetings! Richard and I “attended” a Miami University history lecture via Zoom at lunchtime. Now we’re gearing up to go out for our delayed anniversary dinner and to do some household shopping.

Have a nice evening. Valentine's Day is a good choice for your anniversary dinner.

Today the 13th book in the Bess Crawford series I have been reading was released.
-
Last night I only had two chapters left in my book to read. Knowing I was first in line at my library for the new book I didn't want to begin something else, but what to do after finishing the current book.
-
Yes, sleep would have been best but I didn't think that was likely to happen.
-
Imagine my excitement when I received an email at 9:00pm that my book was ready to borrow. I didn't realize the release time was on EST vs PST :)
-
Keith doesn't have to imagine my excitement, he got to experience it ;D
-
DR George, you're package arrived! Thank you swo much.
-
Very exciting about the concert, DR John G.
-
We had a nice afternoon walk without rain or snow which was a possibility.
-
We don't do anything special for Valentine's Day anymore, not even cards. All I care about is that we are together. There were too many years Keith was out of town for work.
-
Taking a break from writing. Having two fish sandwiches - they're really pretty good and the Bob's tartar sauce, which is not sweet enough for me, perks right up with a sprinkle of sugar mixed in.
-
By the second fish sandwich, it was kind of gross - don't know why, but a little goes a long way. I ate it, but...
-
Had some salt water taffy to try and get the taste to go away.
-
That seems to not be happening.
-
Today is Valentine' Day? Really? Why don't I have a damn Valentine then? Although I did get a nice Valentine's Day greeting from the Darling Daughter.
-
LOL DR singdaw......DR CHAS SMITH I did not save the small parts.
-
As of today the court has accepted our final report and released my sister and me of all responsibility and liability in the estate of our uncle!

Congratulations, DR Jrand72. That's a nice Valentine's Day present.

YAY!
-
I just set up our four Air Tags.
-
Guess which color I used for my tags?
-
Finally finished the writing - it was quite a bit to do, but I at least got a rough of it and it works much better than what we had.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Another long, exhausting day.
-
Happy V Day!
-
A Sondheim reference.
-
Hello, Jeanne!
-
How are you?
-
Five!
-
DR John G, has your PT or your doctor commented on your finger's progress? It seems like your recovery is taking a long time, but I don't know zip about this sort of surgery.
Finger recovery vibes!
-
Jrand, congrats on the closing of the estate! May you be paid well for your time and effort.
-
Hi, John G.
I'm hanging in there. An endless to-do list. But still here.

An interesting article in today's NYT on the Museum of Broken Relationships.

-
TTFN.
-
BK mentioned Alvin and the Chipmunks the other day.
A propos today's title, there's this classic lyric:
Want a plane that loops the loop
Me, I want a hula hoop
-
In honor of the day:
-
Time stops, hearts are young,
Only serenades are sung
In Loveland,
Where everybody lives co love.
-
Raindrops never rain,
Every road is Lovers' Lane
In Loveland,
Where everybody loves to live.
-
See that sunny sun and honeymoon,
There where seven hundred days hath June.
-
Sweetheart, take my hand,
Let us find that wondrous land
Called Loveland, Loveland, Loveland...
-
FIRST CAVALIER:
The lover is transported by his rapture,
As ever heavenwards his heart ascends.
CHORUS:
Loveland, where everybody lives to love.
-
SECOND CAVALIER:
The lover's heart contains a lover's secret.
Which only the beloved comprehends.
CHORUS:
Loveland, where everybody loves to live.
-
THIRD CAVALIER:
To lover's eyes, a lover's eyes are jewels,
More radiant than the stars that light the sky.
CHORUS:
Loveland, Loveland...
-
FOURTH CAVALIER:
Two lovers in devotion,
If separated, they must swoon and die.
CHORUS:
Loveland, Loveland...
-
Bells ring, fountains splash,
Folks use kisses 'stead of cash
In Loveland. Loveland...
Love, Love, Loveland...
Love, Love, Loveland...
Love!
-
This Valentine's message has been brought to you by BK's close personal friend, Stephen Sondheim.
-
I'm fading fast.
-
It's too early to go to bed,
-
And yet-
-
My thoughts are strongly swaying in that direction.
-
Oh, let's face it:
-
I'm an old poop.
-
As Katherine Hepburn once said
-
In character, of course.
-
Maybe the line was actually, "You old poop."
-
But she could have been directing it to me.
-
If the shoe fits.
-
And it does.
-
At long last, Page Six.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Good night, Singdaw.
-
If June can have 700 days, then I guess February can have 145.
-
DR John did your physical therapist offer any encouraging words today/
-
Four more visits. Finger not happy.
The doctor doesn’t want to see me until May.
-
Neither comments seems encouraging. It sounds like you might need to request more PT visits. I know that it can take a long time to heal after this surgery.
-
Continued hand vibes for DR John & DR TCB!
-
'night
-
It made it to 80 today. Tomorrow’s supposed to be warmer. Then cold again. Really cold.
-
Then I was asked where I wanted to be stationed. I remembered that the last time he was here, he had audience members on the stage with an usher strictly for them. So that’s what I asked for, with up front being a backup.
Nice! That would be so cool.
-
Imagine my excitement when I received an email at 9:00pm that my book was ready to borrow. I didn't realize the release time was on EST vs PST :)
Congrats, Jane!
-
DR George, you're package arrived! Thank you swo much.
You're very welcome, Larry!
-
Taking a break from writing. Having two fish sandwiches - they're really pretty good and the Bob's tartar sauce, which is not sweet enough for me, perks right up with a sprinkle of sugar mixed in.
I don't like tartar sauce when it's too sweet. There was a brand that I had once (and only once) and it was much, Much, MUCH (that three muches!) Too sweet. :P
-
As of today the court has accepted our final report and released my sister and me of all responsibility and liability in the estate of our uncle!
Congrats, Jrand!
-
Vixdad and I exchanged cards just after midnight
-
Tonight for dinner I made rib eye steaks, sautéed shrimp, roasted new potatoes and peas
-
Dessert was Vixdad’s favorite : Cherry Garcia ice cream
-
Followed by a nice pot of hot tea
-
So, today, I received two packages from eBay by way of UPS.
-
One was the Australian cast recording of Big River (https://castalbums.org/recordings/Big-River-1990-Australian-Cast/2415)! I found it on Australia's eBay, but it said that they didn't ship to the US.
-
I asked the seller if there were some legal reason or if it was just a hassle, and he said it was a bit of a hassle, but that he'd sell it to me, anyway!
-
I'd been watching one on the US eBay and it's listed for $179.99! :o But even WITH shipping and taxes, the one I got was only $82! That's still a lot for a CD, but I didn't care. ;)
-
The other item that I got was a record that I actually already own (on both vinyl and CD):
-
BUT, it's autographed!! ;D
-
To "George" with no last name! So, it's effectively signed to me!!
-
And also:
-
AND:
-
:-* :-* :-*
-
Now, overall, it's not I great condition. It was described accurately, so I knew what I was getting, but I didn't care. :)
-
PAGE SEVEN SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM DANCE!!

-
To "George" with no last name! So, it's effectively signed to me!!
Smart!
-
And brilliant.
-
Finishing the second Brokenwood. It started slow, but actually worked out rather well.
-
To "George" with no last name! So, it's effectively signed to me!!
Smart!
Yup!
-
Good night, all.
-
Those autographs are “brilliant”, as they say in the UK.
Congrats, George!
-
“To George…”
Love it!
-
Is it just me or is the Sondheim “Scrabble” 2-lp set hard to find now?
-
I love on that set, Larry Kert singing “Happily Ever After” before saying it “didn’t fit the moment” then going into the song it became, “Being Alive.”
-
Those autographs are “brilliant”, as they say in the UK.
Congrats, George!
Thanks, Iris!
-
“To George…”
Love it!
I know, right?? ;D
-
Well, I listened to some of the Australian Big River, and it's quite enjoyable.
-
I don't know why, but I really like that score.
-
I've never seen the show, though.
-
Hopefully, someday...and hopefully, a good production, too.
-
It would be a bit depressing to see a crap production of the show.
-
I also never saw Big River, to my chagrin.
-
And now...
-
...since we're so close...
-
Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
:D
-
Meaningful post #202
-
Pretty cool!
-
Where is TCB???
-
Not good.
-
We all worry.
-
Worry we all.
-
And what is this page seven malarkey?
-
Page seven is so yesterday.
-
Had some late night Taco Bell, since I'd only had 600 calories.
-
Page eight has made its entrance.
-
As have I.
-
George is down some rabbit hole.
-
TCB checked in the other day, then not again since.
-
George is down some rabbit hole.
Yes, and...?
;)
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Taco Bell has a new item - a taco thing that was very good.
-
Late Night Taco Bell mmm
-
A new taco thing? Intriguing.
-
Taco Bell has a new item - a taco thing that was very good.
If it's what I'm thinking of, I've had some, and they are pretty good. I just can't remember what it's called.
-
A fresh shell, cheesier, and I would definitely have it again.
-
Fresh, cheesier… further intrigue! I need a name.
