Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a comedy of errors, and now it is time for you to post until the comedy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HILARITY!
-
Great pictures, BK, and great costumes, too!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Last night I could not get to sleep; I ke[t thinking about the Charleston curtain calls and the end of the Finale. Sometime after 11:30 I dozed off, only to waken at 1:30 with the sense that I'd better get to the bathroom before I was sick all over the bed. I just made it and sent thirty minutes there, cursing my health, my life, and anything or anyone else I could blame. I slept poorly the rest of the night. I think I will spend much of today lyig down.
-
Two days ago, I had a similar experience around 6:30pm, and this has got me wondering if I'm really sick or if I'm having psychosomatic issues about the hip replacement. This all began last April before the scheduled surgery, and now it's back in full force. It's also got me wondering if I should go ahead with the damned surgery or resolve myself to be on a walker for the rest of my life.
-
At the moment I am waiting for an Amazon Fresh delivery. I expect it in about thirty minutes.
-
I really enjoyed the Comedy of Errors photos.
-
DR Rodzinski, yesterday when I read your psot about Steppenwolf, I thought, didn't I just read soemthing about audiences? This moring, I found it.

-
Amazon Fresh has arrived and been put away.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Why does Stage Door Records do release pressings of only 100 copies? Seems hardly worth the bother.
-
The photos in the Notes are fantastic!
-
Yes I loved the photos in the notes. I think the show should be given a production today.
I'll wait.....
-
After posting some posts here I shall leave my post and go write my report for the meeting of the bored to take place at 2 p.m.
Which means I am leaving home at 1 p.m. - and hopefully return before 5 p.m.
-
We may do my director's interview today about M@7....we shall see.
-
Interesting article posted by DR ELMORE about the state of theeder.
-
I think I will go ahead and do the laundry. It needs it badly.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Those pictures are great. Do it!
-
Interesting article posted by DR ELMORE about the state of theeder.
Very interesting, indeed.

Last night I settled in to treat myself to a Preview Harvey-inspired double feature, High Times and Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation. I hadn't seen these since the Twilight Time Blu-rays were released, and I'd been wanting to, anyway. So I watched High Times, deliberately sending myself right back to the world when these were first introduced, and it was more relaxing and entertaining than ever. Then, though still alert and ready for more, I was also feeling physical exhaustion from the activities of the past few days, so I cut my losses and saved Mr. Hobbs for another time - which will most likely be tonight.
-
A Sunday morning question for BK:
Did Comedy of Errors use a combo, or solo piano or duo pianos or [other], and was the music written out? That's stuff I'm always curious about anyway, not just for this piece, but I couldn't help but wonder how easily you could make the materials available if you were to interest the right people to produce it.

Good morning, all.
-
I really enjoyed the Comedy of Errors photos.
I did too.

And the word of the day is: HILARITY!
I wish she’d won.
-
I’m really tired.
-
And a long, long day awaits.

Onward!

Jane, if I only had one day on Cyprus, I would probably stay in Limassol.
-
The overture for Li'l Abner is great, and I am sorry that the powers that be decided not to import it into the film adaptation.
-
Otherwise, though, as film adaptations go, it's pretty faithful to the stage show.

Happy Sunday, all!
I have survived another birthday. Thanks to you for sharing it with me!
I am now three-quarters of a century old.
I sometimes feel three-quarters of a century old.
I have lately pondered whether I would do it all again. Perhaps, if I knew what I "know" about life (not particulars, but what to look out for and what to avoid) it might be worth doing again. That sentiment is based on being 21 again, which would take me back to 1969.
If there were a pill, a shot or a procedure that would youthen me in the present, I don't think I'd want to bother. It is one thing to be my current age and unable to relate to much of what younger people are now doing/enjoying. It is quite another to have the values I have developed and to find no one else remotely aware of those values.
Ah, me. Perhaps this "cycle" of life business is for the best. I can think of nothing more tragic than anyone actually being immortal, living on earth as things change and having people come into your life and then die.
Never mind. This is me "belaboring" the Labor Day weekend.
-
Labor on, my friend!
-
Or, as they said in ancient Rome, ora labora.

How I miss those old Roman days!

Happy Sunday...I hope everyone is having a great long weekend. Today on The Broadway Radio Show: author Thomas Hischak chats about his new book Broadway Decoded, a fun reference guide to all those pop culture references mentioned in musicals like Follies, The Music Man, On The Town, and many, many more!

From George:
The reason that there was foam on top of the shelter is because it used to be under a walnut tree and when the walnuts fell off the tree, they would hit the metal roof and scare the crap out of the chickens.
We had multiple acorn trees in Ashland. When they would fly off of the trees and hit our windows it sounded as if we were under attack. Poor chickens wouldn't understand why they were being attacked.
-
What a job you had, but it must feel good knowing the chickens will be comfortable.
-
Jane, if I only had one day on Cyprus, I would probably stay in Limassol.
Thank you.
-
Can we easily walk around the town? I seems we can walk into town from the ship.

Interesting thoughts on your birthday, especially about being a youth in the present.

Fun photos in the notes.

The Age of Adaline, which I watched yesterday, deals with some of these issues.

DR John have you been to the House of Dionysos? I read the mosaics there are possibly the best in the world.

Board meeting is over - interview is recorded and so I have the rest of the evening to myself.

I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep. Like elmore, couldn't fall asleep and didn't until six.
-
Unlike me, when I don't fall asleep until six, you got to sleep eight hours. At the most I get to sleep until 8:00 ;D

I don't share my niece's affection for the chickens. ::) They're her pets, I get that, but otherwise, I don't really have an opinion one way or the other.

Okay, knock it off with this page three malarkey.

Ridic.
-
I decided today would be Taco Sunday - bought shells, ground beef, etc and made four tacos - excellent and very low-calorie, under 1000.
-
Might have one of them English candies later.
-
Just might.
-
Had the call with Muse Margaret - there were only six things to run by her so that was easy.
-
Now I'll finish the rest of my second proofing before it goes to blurber two. Less than 150 pages to go.

Sounds good! I'm at Jersey Mike's.
-
Bruce, were there any Humbugs sold along with the English candy you purchased?
-
My mother always had a tin of English hard candies next to her side of the bed.
-
There was also a jar of them downstairs.
-
My father kept good chocolate next to his side of the bed.
-
I was permitted to help myself to their candy since they knew how much I appreciated it.

No wonder I have no control when it comes to eating good candy.

Good night, friends.
-
It is time to pop some corn.
-
Hopefully that will wake me up.
-
I just want to go to sleep.
-
Signing off for the evening.
-
'night
-
Good morning
-
Good afternoon
-
Good evening
-
I was very tired last night
-
When I got home about 1230 I sat down in the recliner to set the alarm on my phone for 8 am instead of the usual 7 am
-
I woke up when the alarm went off
-
At 7 am
-
With the phone still in my hand
-
And all the lights still on
-
I shut off the lights, reset the alarm for 8 and promptly went back to sleep
-
I had to get to church because I was assisting minister
-
And our minister was away on vacation
-
So our minister for our Latino congregation was filling in and we have different procedures so I was being counted on to guide he4 through the service
-
We stumbled through
-
Then, after clearing everything up, I went off to the deli and bought egg sandwiches fir Vixdad and myself
-
Vixdad loved his but I only got about a third through mine and just couldn’t eat anymore
-
Then I took another nap, for about 3 hours , waking around 2
-
I had been invited to a barbecue at the house of a church friend so I I got there a little after 3
-
Start time was 3 so that was alright
-
I had some nice conversations, some delicious food and headed home to Vixdad around 530
-
He had been stuck working all day on a new system install
-
I brought him home a plate but he had just done chipotle so I put it in the refrigerator
-
Then we put on season 2 of Good Omens
-
We watched the first 3 episodes, but I was starting to doze again so we turned it off
-
Yesterday was a glorious day in NYC , weather was sunny, warm but not boiling with just a slight breeze
-
My friends and I wandered amongst the vendors at Union Square and then through a street fair
-
Then we wandered down to veselka for a late lunch
-
Our timing was perfect, the place was only half full as we were after the lunch crowd and before the dinner crowd
-
I opted for the chicken paprikash, and beef borscht and a vanilla egg cream
-
Mmmm
-
Then we wandered through Tompkins square park
-
And though there different botanical gardens in the woods East Village
-
Saw some pretty flowers
-
And some busy bees
-
And passed a book shop
-
Apparently owned by this cat
-
This cat
-
This cat
-
Then we went to a bar that was previously a beauty shop in the 1950’s
-
It still has all the dryer bonnets and signs up
-
But it was far too crowded to photograph
-
We were there because of a friend of my friends having a premier of a odd and very short film at a film festival weekend
-
And that’s enough about that topic
-
Afterwards we wandered over to The Spot Dessert Bar
-
But the wait was over an hour so we walked a couple of blocks over and went back to Veselka
-
Where there was no wait at all
-
And the desserts were amazing
-
Medovyk
-
Baked chocolate custard
-
We’ll be desserting there again
-
Then we walked back to the garage where I left my car
-
I drove my friend Robyn to Penn
-
David had left us after the film thingy
-
And I drove home
-
And there you have it
-
The Illustrated Adventures of Vixmom in the East Village on the first Saturday of September
-
I don’t expect it to be a best seller
-
But it got us nearly though page 6
-
Oh goodness!

Earlier this afternoon, I went to the local Jersey Mike's.

How I miss those old Roman days!
What about your days as court jester in the Middle Ages?

I got their Club Sub (https://www.jerseymikes.com/menu/cold-subs/8-club-sub), regular size.

I got it "Mike's Way," but had pickles added.

Delish!

Oh, look! It's Page Seven!

I love Jersey Mike's website (https://www.jerseymikes.com/) because you don't have to start an order just to see their menu! :)
