Tomorrow, I have more oral surgery, so other than the morning, I shall be home.
Yesterday I started mowing (I almost typed mooing) for the first time this season. I'd let the dandelions grow for the bees ("No Mow May" being kind of a thing), but they're gone now and I couldn't stand the sight of the yard any longer. It's slow going because I really need to replace my old tired lawnmower, so there's more to finish up today.
Then I've got to rescue some firewood that fell and got wet for a while, throw out what isn't usable, and stack it better.
That will be my hard labor for the day.
The Canadians have landed!
My ancestors on my mother's side were practicing Quakers. They lived in North Carolina.
During the French & Indian war, they of course refused conscription to fight.....so they took a group of them to Pennsylvania and put them to work building a fort and other non-battle related activities.
George Washington commended them on their hard work.....but they were kept away from home for the duration of the war.
Afterwards when the war was over and they were home - some new men took over the church and it was decided that every family had to give 10% of their money and furniture to the church.
They day they came to my GGGG Grandfather's house and took his dining room table and chairs - he packed everything else up and brought his family to what is now Indiana....where he built a new Quaker Church at Sugar Grove and they all lived happily ever after.

It would have been a good thing if you'd have mentioned this, though. Some of us have been seeing page 7 as a goal, with no clue that you don't care for page 7!
Vixdad is still ill
But I thank thee for thy vibes and beg thou wilt continue to send them that he might recover from his malady.
Feel better vibes for DR JANE.
I liked to hear my Grandfather tell the story.....he had lots of details that I don't remember.
All caught up. Just in time for dinner.
Went to Turkey today.
Turned out to be their version of the Fourth of July.
Everyone was out celebrating
George, loved the pie photos last night.
Glad you clarified that you hadn't eaten a whole half a pie in one sitting! :)
Well, I was wrong. I just finished the overture.

Adorable page turn!
From last night's SNL: A spoof called "Beautiful Boys" to (sort of) the tune of Sondheim's "Beautiful Girls." And Jake Gyllenhaal seems to be referring "Cabaret" as well, since they call it the Tick Tack Club.

Ditto!
The Indy Pacers won their game and advance in the NBA finals.
Minnesota plays at 8 p.m. so we will get to see a Luka Garza fashion show on the sidelines.
Everyone was out celebrating
LOL, it doesn't look very crowded.
So George and BK and Rodzinski will have to get us further and beyond
No food report?
I, on the other hand, don't know from big doobies.
I wrote them.
