Well, you've read the notes, the notes rested their voice, and now it is time for you to post until the rested cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SALMAGUNDI!
-
I was just about to post this last night:
They've just done a brand new 4K of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg - they'll be showing in at Cannes in September and hopefully a new 4K disc will come soon thereafter.
Ooo...maybe I'll finally need to get a 4K player. My TV already can play 4K movies (and I have a few 4K discs), but I don't have a player, yet.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I set the alarm for an hour earlier than usual. I want to get an extra hour on the song today.
-
Horrible night of sleeo; the leg cramps refused give me a moment's peace.
-
Thank you all for the sympathetic comments about Dennis Deal yesterday.
-
The TV news this morning was talking about Memorial Day weekend. I cannot believe it's this weekend!
-
I have had very little Japanese food beyond tempura.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Today, it's back to work.
-
Funny, that.
-
Enjoy your last day on Kos, DR John G.

Scientifically, a raven has 17 primary wing feathers, the big ones at the end of the wing. They are called pinion feathers.
A crow has only 16.
So, the difference between a crow and a raven is really just a matter of a pinion.
-
.
-
Who decides these things?
-
Half way to page two.
-
But who's counting?
-
Certainly not I.

The Jets don't stumble; they rumble.

More vibes for the Kritzerland show!

Pain-go-away vibes for Larry!

45 isn't humble.

Good morning, all.

Tuesday morning greetings! We’re back from a fun weekend in Illinois with Charlotte and Hannah and their dad. Mama was in Georgia for her cousin’s high school graduation.

Tonight I have two PP scenes to be blocked....but I'm just standing behind a desk.....
And then after the Act Two run thru - I will stage It's A Scandal It's A Outrage.....and we may accidentally have everyone there.
-
My brother is coming today to put my shelves up in the closet....and borrow $1500.....to be paid back by December.
Does anybody want to buy a bridge in Brooklyn?

Yikes. Did somebody screw up their calendar?

Kitty cleanup is finished. I am going back to work on this number. It is not as good as anything in the wonderful off-Broadway Streets of New York.

Spring concert number 2 of 3 tonight.

That's too bad.
I'm blanking on this -- has the other one been performed in recent years?
-
Boy, are my eyes itchy these past couple of days.
Allergy season, mainly.
Back around November when I'd gotten my cataract surgeries scheduled for January, I vowed that I would from that moment on be a person who no longer rubs his eyes. It's just good practice anyway, and I'd been bad at it sometimes, but I especially didn't want to compromise the surgeries. So I've done well at keeping my hands away from my damned face these six months, but days like this can be a challenge.
-
I’m having some allergy symptoms, too. Maybe from spending 3 nights in a house with a cat…
-
Anti-allergy-symptoms vibes to Ginny and Chas, and anyone else that could use them!

Apparently, filming is completed on Kiss of the Spider Woman.

This one was created by Charlotte Moore for the Irish Rep years ago.

It must be summer or something.
-
Hello, everyone.
Sorry I haven’t been here to converse with all of you.
-
Today is a sick day for me. Last night some nasty bug hit me and knocked me out. I’m better today, but not 100% and need to rest. I’ve had to cancel all my plans for the week, not happily. But I can post as I rest, happily.
-
Sorry, DR Jeanne. ~~~PROMPT RECUPERATION VIBES~~~ for you!!!!!!

Hey nonny nonny nonny no.

In addition to trying to find tax deductions from the ether I have had another project: buying a condo. When I returned to California I planned to buy a house, but many things conspired against that plan, not the least of which was skyrocketing housing prices. But between getting creamed on taxes — how can I owe so much on such a modest income? — and the never-ending maintenance issues at this building I felt I must do something.
-
My hairdresser moved his business to a building in the Marina that I had never heard of, the Marina City Club, and he told me that he thought condos there were affordable. Really? He had a client, in fact, who had just bought one there. “I want to talk to her!” The next time she came in he put her on the phone. Rebecca and I starting swapping information, I contacted her real estate agent, and began pouring over listings.
-
I also started talking to a lender to get a preapproval. These people must looovvve meetings, because we had way more than I feel were needed, but I finally secured a preapproval.
-
The lenders will want two years of tax returns, the second delay. My accountant now has all but the last needed deductions. I planned to make an offer on a one-bedroom condo this week, but after sitting for months while I hurriedly tried to get all necessary paperwork together it sold! Damn!
-
What a roller coaster! But how thrilling, also. Wishing you all the best through the rest of this process, DR Jeanne.
-
Most of what is in my price range doesn’t appeal to me, so I’m not optimistic. I really thought I could buy this place. Not a happy camper.
-
We have wild weather predicted here tonight. Wind, rain, hail, tornadoes, lightning, and thunder.

Ditto from here, too. Good luck finding a new place.

And the sad next chapter of my story: Rebecca and I were planning to meet for lunch and then she’d show me her new condo. I hadn’t heard back from her. I went in for a hair appointment and learned that she’d died. What??! Apparently, she and her husband were drug users and od’d. we had no idea. So I made a friend, then lost that friend.
-
Condolences to Larry on the loss of his friend.
-
Glad to hear that Singdaw’s oral surgery went well and that he likes the surgeon.
-
Healing vibes to Vixdad.

It has been raining here.

I'm glad I don't have allergies. My mom has a cat, my niece has SIX cats, and I've had a couple...and plan to get some again.
-
Apparently, filming is completed on Kiss of the Spider Woman.
I do want to see that.
-
We don't know if we have allergies or the beginnings of colds. The damp weather isn't helping. I must be well on Friday for my yearly appointment with my endrocrinologist. I book this appointment one year in advance or her dates all fill up.

“This garbage is pure fiction which sensationalizes lies that have been long debunked,” Cheung said.
Good luck with trying to sue. Of course, IT'S A WORK OF FICTION! First amendment, and all that. :))

To get to page 5, how about Playbill's list of the top show tunes about summer.

3. "Summertime" by George Gershwin, DuBose and Dorothy Heyward and Ira Gershwin from Porgy and Bess
-
2. "Too Darn Hot" by Cole Porter from Kiss Me, Kate
-
And the #1 summer showtune, according to Ben Rimalower writing in Playbill in 2014:
1. "Manhattan" by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart from Garrick Gaieties
-
Well, they can't say we didn't make it at least to page 5.
-
Actually, they can say it, but it wouldn't be true!
-
'night
-
Good night, Jane
-
I have a "concept" for a new production of Sunday in the Park with George.
-
It'll be with desserts.
-
Songs will include:
Pudding it Together
Sundae
-
Well, why not?
-
Sorry about your new friend, DR Jeanne.
-
Perhaps that unit will be going back on the market?
-
Tired.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Stumble-through was pretty excellent with only a few fumfers. Really strong show.
-
Then I had to catch up on things. Voice is a bit hoarse but I won't use it until soundcheck.
-
Food is on its way - a sandwich.
-
Stumble-through was pretty excellent with only a few fumfers. Really strong show.

-
Indeed DR JANE. Very expensive.
-
Vibes for DR ELMORE & Stella.
-
Vibes for DR GINNY & DR singdaw & DR JEANNE.
-
DR JEANNE's story sounds like something from a movie.
-
Only one person was missing from Scandal/Outrage.....done in 20 minutes and it looks pretty good.....so there you are.

Jrand - Did you notice that the art of side-eye has started trending?
Even the judge in the Trump case is talking about it. :)

Page Six is near.
-
Page Six!
-
Apparently, filming is completed on Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Pray for... you know.
I know. JLo, right?
-
Vibes of all kinds for DR Jeanne.
-
Last day on Kos.
-
Went on a last walk to the beach, past the salt marsh. No flamingos visible this morning. They must still be nesting. I know nothing about how flamingos nest.
-
I have a "concept" for a new production of Sunday in the Park with George.
Songs will include:
Pudding it Together
Sundae
I want that! ;D
-
Only one person was missing from Scandal/Outrage.....done in 20 minutes and it looks pretty good.....so there you are.
That's great, Jrand!
-
Today for lunch, I went to Red Wagon and got their Chicken Teriyaki Burger and it was quite good, as usual.
-
I had a full stamp card, so I got the fries and drink for free! :D
-
The fries, however, were not as good as they used to be. ::)
-
Thus time and the last time I got them, they were overcooked, but I'm hoping that that's not the new "regular" way that they'll be cooking them.
-
Then for dinner was the other sandwich on a flatbread from Costco that I got when I went shopping with my friend Shelly.
-
It wasn't as fresh as it was when it was actually "fresh," but it was tasty enough.
-
The sandwich had turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and a sauce in a little container.
-
I couldn't identify exactly what the dominant taste was ::) but it complemented the sandwich, so it was fine.
-
What IS this?
-
It seems like page six is as far as we get these days.
-
George disappears right when he's needed.
-
Why? Or better yet, Y.
-
It's baffling.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Perhaps George is having some tomato bisque.
-
Or Welsh Rarebit.
-
So hard to tell when he leaves the damn room.
-
Well, this is really cool:
Art Zone presents: An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1zRRKpJSC2o)
This was written (well, adapted) by Bryan Willis, who wrote the show about the Olympian Hotel that I was in last year.
-
Ah well, nothing to be done.
-
I don't have the energy, frankly, after an exhausting stumble-through and notes session, then trying to get butts in seats.
-
Perhaps George is having some tomato bisque.
I actually have a couple of cans of tomato bisque soup. :)
-
Also, I received an e-mail from an unknown source informing me that I do not care for page seven.
-
I have no cans of tomato bisque.
-
Getting butts in seats is the bane of any theater's existence. ::)
-
Also, I received an e-mail from an unknown source informing me that I do not care for page seven.
Well, I think you need an attitude adjustment...embrace Page Seven! It can be your friend!
-
Page Seven likes you!
-
Gratuitous Post #187!!
-
;)
-
Tomorrow, my niece is coming over again to continue to help clean my place...yes, it's that cluttered. ::)
-
But it'll eventually be not cluttered.
-
I'm also going through things and deciding on what I can get rid of.
-
My sister is having a garage sale on Saturday, so I want to bring things over and maybe make a little money.
-
I know it won't be much, but I will have gotten rid of some stuff that I'm will to part with.
-
...now that I've actually been going through things.
-
I'm still keeping a lot, so there's that, but I am getting rid of things.
-
I am keeping most of my DVDs and Blu-rays, and, of course, ALL of my sheet music, musical scores, and audio music (CD, records, etc.)
-
That's not negotiable.
-
So those aren't being culled down much.
-
But guess what??
