Well, you've read the notes, the notes were not able to tell you why, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they cannot tell you why, either.
-
And the word of the day is: JAMBOREE!
-
Good morning.
-
Notes gulped. Gobbled.

Good morning!

And the word of the day is: JAMBOREE!
I used to attend an annual Scout Jamboree.

Not my favorite memory.
-
Good morning, friends.

Slept pretty well.
-
Uninterrupted, in fact.

Eat your beans.

Well, if you must.

Does that mean "stick it where the sun don't shine?"

Good morning, all!
-
After the dreadful night before, I was in bed by 8:30 last night. I slept very well, woke around 12:30, then woke again around 3:30. When the alarm rang at 6:15, I turned it off and dozed until 6:45. My legs are still killing me after Monday's physical therapy, but I do need to do my stretches today.
-
Today I have my mentoring session with my arranging student, and I need to return an important phone call from yesterday.
-
DR George, I hope your niece's aunt is doing better.
-
DR vixmom, I'm sorry to hear of your current dental situation. I'm happy you've insurance and a dentist you trust. I was at the mercy of student dentists too long at the NYU Dental clinic.
-
Beyond Sun?
It looks, er, healthy.
-
Just not atop chocolate wafers, please.
Beans, with chocolate wafers for dessert, maybe?

I am sorry about my posts yesterday, I’m feeling very worried, angry and helpless about the state of country.
-
I’ll try and be more cheerful
-
Tonight I’m going to see our local minor league baseball team play
-
It’s our annual church outing , perhaps that will cheer me .
-
I keep losing the internet connection.
-
I’m the meantime I must wordle and then work
-
Well I guess the Wordle isn’t absolutely mandatory

The work bit is

If I wanna keep my job

I haven't seen plain beans on this cruise which is annoying to me.

That, of course, leads to remembering that Pebbles and Bamm Bamm had a song on The Flintstones called "Let the Sunshine In" several years before HAIR used that title

Ours was higher until yesterday. It dropped about 20 cents to $2.99

I have been engrossed in Master Slave Husband Wife, which won the Pulitzer for biography this year. It's the story of a couple who make a daring escape from slavery, end up in Boston and face being caught again.

Wednesday.
Last night's rehearsal went well.....all tech on deck and of course costumes.
I showed Tournier how to use collodian to give himself a nice scar.
Our leading lady is still in Texas.....but her two daughters (the director's granddaughters) are running the sound board and the light board.....that went about as well as could be expected.

I don’t know. I have about a quarter of the book left. It’s interesting in that it’s written like a narrative, but all quotes are taken from documents. It’s less strict than journalism, where everything is cited immediately. These are left to footnotes at the end.

The last time I filled up my tank, I had a 35¢/gallon discount because of the Fred Meyer Rewards' gas points, and it brought the price down to $3.71⁹. :o

Back from what should be my last trip out of the house till Friday. A quick stop at Shop Rite, and I decided I didn't need to stop for gas till then either.

There must be an aspic around here somewhere.

There certainly isn't a strawberry cake anywhere in sight.

:)
-
There must be an aspic around here somewhere.
Google tells me this for the question: Does aspic taste good?
It's definitely an acquired taste: Some can't even think about eating a gelatinous aspic where others will gulp it down like caviar. The long-recognized Jewish specialty of gefilte fish has aspic jelly as a popular component, but I know many a mensch who would never touch the stuff.

Does this mean it will be your last meal?
Is that a real eating establishment?
-
This was brought up on castrecl, and Playbill had an article about it. Have we discussed this here?
https://playbill.com/article/your-next-audio-book-might-be-read-by-judy-garland?
"An AI company has secured an agreement with the estates of many late stage icons to use artificial versions of their voices."
-
Among the available voices mentioned in the Playbill article are Judy Garland, James Dean, Burt Reynolds, and Laurence Olivier

I should probably give each name its own post. :)

I'm sure she'll have some.

I wonder whether BK or the HHW DRs have thoughts on that AI development.

Good evening
-
I had a closing this afternoon which went well
-
Then I went to the DucksStadium
-
The Ducks being, of course, the name of our local minor league baseball team,
-
Today was the day for our church’s annual trip to watch a game together
-
I mentioned to one of my fellow parishioners that I have never seen this team win a game
-
But today…today…
-
Well the first inning they handily struck out the first three batters , 1; 2; 3 and out!
-
Then in their first “up” there were two home run hits !
-
Second inning, guests had no luck and our Ducks scored another run!
-
Third inning guests were dreadful, couldn’t hit couldn’t catch
-
Our Glorious Ducks made two more runs!
-
I said to my fellow parishioner, “ wow! I’m finally going to see the Ducks win!”
-
Mea culpa
-
Mea maxima culpa
-
The guests rallied
-
The Ducks completely forgot how to catch, hit , run ,throw …in fact I think they suddenly lost all idea of what game they were playing
-
The Dirty Birds ( the name of the guests) won 8 runs to 5 for our poor lame Ducks
-
Everyone told me it wasn’t my fault…but I know better
-
The fireworks show afterwards was quite nice though
-

All I've done besides eat is sleep - this actually has to stop. I do not like all this sleeping. If I get eight hours, that is IT. Don't want to sleep during the day at all.
-
Had the ubiquitous computer freeze. It's back up now, although Zoom is installing an "update" that is not moving at all - at the three-quarter point and just sitting there. I'll force quit it if I have to, but this seems to be a Zoom thing, these endless update installs. I'm ready to be rid of Zoom anyway. I'll need to use it once in the next few weeks, then I'll stop paying for the plan I have and just have the free version.

I'll take some of your sleep.

Please.

Oh, my!
-
So, today has been a day and I'm not home yet.
-
I first went to my sister's house to help her with some stuff for tomorrow's gathering at her house.
-
Squeezing in here late to hear George’s tales and triumphs.
-
Had to go to George’s old haunts of Bellingham this afternoon for a couple medical checkups on Lil Rodzette. All ok there. Then we had marvelous Thai. At the boringly named Thai Cafe or some such.

-
Had to go to George’s old haunts of Bellingham this afternoon for a couple medical checkups on Lil Rodzette. All ok there. Then we had marvelous Thai. At the boringly named Thai Cafe or some such.
Good news about Lil Rodzette. I could go for some marvelous Thai.
-
Yay, my book just now finally downloaded.
-
Squeezing in here late to hear George’s tales and triumphs.
I'm now home!
-
My sister is borrowing my friend Shelly's gas barbecue, but first it had to be cleaned because it hadn't been used in a couple of years.
-
I also made sure that it worked, so I opened up the gas line and didn't hear any leaking gas, so I heated it up and let it get up to about 600°F!
-
I didn't realize that they could get that hot.
-
I then scraped all the grills and under-the-grill pieces and the drip tray and it looks pretty good...not shiny new, but cleaned.
-
Then I used my sister's electric blower and cleaned off her back porch.
-
Then, I had to go shopping...again.
-
Gratuitous Post #250!!
-
I first went to US ChefStore, but was only able to get two needed items.
-
I was also going to Fred Meyer, so I wasn't worried.
-
I got just about everything else that was needed except tomatoes!
-
There was not a single (non-grape) tomato in that entire Fred Meyer!
-
None!!
-
So, those if us who are having burgers (and I am one of them) will not have the option of a slice or two of tomato.
-
It's not a deal breaker, but it was just weird.
-
My sister has ketchup, so there's thay. ;)
-
I think all other regular toppings and condiments are accounted for.
-
Oh...just before I went shopping, my sister's boyfriend got us food from Eagan's, which was quite tasty.
-
I had my usual Deluxe Cheeseburger and Tater Tots with a diet Pepsi.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And they're up quite late.
-
Such things happen.
-
They just do.
-
Then I went shopping, after which I went to my mom's so that I could pick up my uncle, aunt, cousin and his wife and drive them to a place in Lacey (3.5 miles from my mom's house) that was having a public fireworks display.
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
PAGE 10 DANCE!!

It was in a neighborhood park and it was CROWDED! :o
