Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of a salad that was horribly horrible, and now it is time for you to post until the horribly horrible cows come home.

Did we ever find out from JRand what "EM" stands for?
-
Good morning, all.
-
I feel like a truck ran over me.
Of course, there are many good reasons to feel that this week.
-
Am quite figuratively numb.
My thoughts are muddled and adrift about our future as a democracy.
Trump got as many votes this time as he did last time.
Kamala got about 14 million fewer votes than Biden did last time.
Why would that many people NOT vote?
-
At least we're done with rehearsals till Sunday evening. That is a blessing.
-
EM as DR JANE surmised is Elon Musk.
-
Thursday. The sun is shining.
I feel a bit better today - but still not top drawer as little Glory would say.
-
TOD:
Many already mentioned and:
Ellery Queen.
But my two favorites are:
Hercule Poirot
Sherlock Holmes
And just for fun Honey West, although she was a PI.

That puts the numbers in a very interesting light, Ron.
-
Morning.
-
I will be heading off to California in a bit. A few months ago, when this trip was planned, we were worried there would be widespread rioting going on. I figured that California would be safe, though.

Yes it does. I keep telling myself it can't be a case of voter suppression or deliberate elimination of votes.

DR Laura is seeing the U.S.A. in a Chevrolet!
Wait. It IS a Chevrolet, isn't it?
Isn't it??
-
From Bruce:
BTW, the reason some people get that error message when trying to connect, is because they've never made the site secure. That will change in the next day or two - it's $75 a year, but will be worth it.
This explains the warning I get every time I post my phone. I always have to tap on "send anyway" in order to post.
-
DR George, a few times I have found it a bit difficult to open the larger mailbox. Fortunately I have never needed more than a couple of tries before getting it open.

Did you watch the wonderful Jimmy Kimmel opening monologue last night? The last bit is street interviews asking people if they plan to vote today, Nov 6th.

TOD: Spenser. I've read all the novels; never watched the TV show. Having lived in Boston for many years I've enjoyed the settings there.
-
After Robert Parker died they continued his different detective series with different writers. Some series didn't do too well but Ace Atkins and Mike Lupica have done well carrying on the Spenser series.

When I was in grad school, my friend Joyce had a pet raccoon. It was so cute, but it used to chase me around biting my ankles.

DR George, a few times I have found it a bit difficult to open the larger mailbox. Fortunately I have never needed more than a couple of tries before getting it open.
I went back again today with some WD40 and it didn't help! Well, I'm sure that it'll help the key that actually fits that lock, but the key that is labeled as the key for that lock most definitely is NOT the actual key for that lock! :P
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I left it in my mailbox with a note, so hopefully, it'll all get figured out.
-
Hello, Jeanne!
-
I had my annual eye exam today with the ophthalmologist and have some information for DRJane.
There’s a new approach to dry eyes. Instead of using punctal plugs in the inner corner of your eyes they now can insert a gel containing hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is used in many products, especially face creams because it’s such a good moisturizer. I would prefer this over punctal plugs.
I’ve also been Ivizia eye drops. They’re thicker than Thera Tears, but not as thick as the gel eye drops. I still like Thera Tears better, but Ivizia have no preservatives, a plus.

Thank you. I will check these out. I prefer not to try using plugs. I still like my BioTrue drops. I find alternating brands works better.
-
DR Jeanne, have you read about using drops made out of your own blood. It sounds gross but I have heard it really works though it is expensive.
-
My take on the election is quite different from The NY Times. I think Harris did exceedingly well. She mounted a campaign in 100 days, was an unknown to many, and showed intelligence, energy, and class. I questioned whether any woman could get elected, but she did better than I expected. I see all that as a victory, not a defeat. Trump had an advantage on many fronts. I am saddened and disappointed that she didn’t win, but she did amazingly well.
-
DR Jeanne, have you read about using drops made out of your own blood. It sounds gross but I have heard it really works though it is expensive.
No, I haven’t. I may try the hyaluronic acid approach.
-
I alternate brands, too, so I don’t get too much of any one.

Ivizia came up when I googled about the gel proceedure as well as Hylo Gel.

One of the things that bothers me about the election is the misinformation. I feel that many Trump voters were duped. They want lower grocery prices, but will they be happy when he tries to cut their Social Security? I don’t think this is what they were signing up for.

i know :(

Had breakfast this morning at a family joint in Hobert. The food was excellent. Carol had French toast that she loved. I feel for the strawberry jam on the buttered rye toast. Everything was great. Well, almost everything ...

After we entered, I discovered the place was a Trump palace. The servers and cook all wore T-shirts bearing his likeness.
-
Six!

Right after putting an ice pack on my arm I googled what the bump could be. It is likely a hematoma vs a hairline fracture though it could be both.
-
Then adding ice to my search it said to compress the spot. Since I conveniently had my velcrove wrist support on I simply tightened it.
-
I think the compression made a big difference and I am now typing with both hands and no longer worry I have a hairline fracture.

I will ice it again later and hope tomorrow it is better and not worse.
