Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a continuing saga and were eyeballed, and now it is time for you to post until the continuing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EPOCHAL!
-
Topic of the Day: not a klew.

Notes respected. Bisected.

It's doing that sn*w stuff outside right now, according to my weather app and will continue for the next two hours. Ugh.
-
Had to share.
-
Good morning.

It's doing that sn*w stuff outside right now, according to my weather app and will continue for the next two hours. Ugh.
Sending weather vibes, John G!
-
Office vibes for Rodzinski!
-
Really enjoyed BK's what if Kander and Ebb wrote the Notes lyrics in last night's posts!
-
If you see someone without a klew, give them one of yours.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
.
-
Hug a granola bar today!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Congrats to singdaw on your wonderful and round new millstone!
-
Now that the Death of Democracy and the Reign of Terror have set in, I knew the news this morning would be bad, but it's so much worse than I expected. I had a 50-50 days yesterday. The morning was productive and busy with cooking and housework, and things went smoothly. I kept the TV off and worked on my iTunes mess.
-
I fed the cats and had dinner around 3:00, worked some more on iTunes and turned on ther television. When I saw the Coronation of our Führer was still going on, I switched to the Oxygen channel and watched true crime nonsense. Then, around 4:00, a stomach rumbliong warned me I had bewtter get to the bathroom. I sorta made it in time but not quite.
-
I hjave been using for over a year this tea cart I really hate. It doesn't run smoothly and its wheels veer to the left so it;s a struggled getting it and my lurching body past the living area to the bathroom. Given the fact that I fear a fall and I move so slowly, I just got into the bathroom before I was violently sick, and I spent the next 90 minutes cleaning up, bathing, and then cleaning up my dinner and the cats' dishes.
-
In early December, my neighbor Ann told me she was giving me a new cart for Christmas. Well, I'm still waiting, and much as I want to destroy the one I have, I'm too damned dependent on it.
-
If I walked better, I'd go over to Holy Trinity Church, light every candle before every saint, and pray for a presidential death in any possible and painful manner ASAP. And this is my current mood.
-
It's 6 a.m., and I have another bag of stuff for the garbage bin. Some things I've held onto for a long time.
-
Being in a bad mood is pretty good for tossing stuff.
-
Was it Singdaw who found out he'd been signed up to follow Trump? How did you find that out?
-
Currently I am taking a break, because there is a black cat in my lap.
-
Hello, DR Laura. I've answered you by PM.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Six degrees here. Of separation? Who knows.
-
Page Two.
-
Congrats to DR singdaw on his millstone.
-
I am still avoiding the news and anything else about that man.
-
I completely missed a good millstone of my own, but like I always say, I never think to watch those things.
-
I looked on my FB but I can't find where I am able to see a list of who I follow.
-
It is four degrees headed for ten.
-
Yesterday I avoided all but - literally - two or three minutes of the proceedings.
In the evening, following a kind soul's links, I saw:
1. The prerecorded tracks fiasco and resulting awkwardness among everyone there, for Carrie Underwood's, um, song. That was nice.
2. The taking of the oath of office, with what looked like a hasty retreat of the individual toting two (2) bibles over, only to be unseen and ignored. Did I misinterpret what was supposed to happen there? Shouldn't the justice have helped by saying "please place your hand... (blah blah blah)"?
-
I pretty much get my news from a friend who texts it to me, or late night tv. That's enough for me.
-
I am not sure about TOD.....I have only seen a couple of movies in the last 12 months or so.
-
Good morning, all.
-
The sky took a white dump on my yard.
-
Doing a load of laundry.
Soon I must start puttering and straightening up some things. I'm in a little throwing-out binge of my own. It's never enough, but one must do whatever one can.
-
It ain't pretty.
-
I shall stay in bed for a while.
-
Zero Oscar picks from me. Have I seen even one movie of 2024? I'm not sure I have.
-
TOD:
Conclave was good fun that stayed with me.
Megalopolis was absolutely beautiful to look at. I would like to see it nominated in those areas.
Cillian Murphy gave a better performance in Small Things Like These than he did in Oppenheimer, but nobody saw it.
I'd really like to see Sing Sing and Emilia Perez. I don't know if I could sit through Nickel Boys; the book was disturbing.
-
I do want to see Conclave.
-
Was it Singdaw who found out he'd been signed up to follow Trump? How did you find that out?
DR Laura, go to Facebook and find "President Donald J Trump" page. If you are told you are now following him, block the page. Same with "Vice President JD Vance."
-
Apologies to Truman Capote and Harold Arlen
I never wants no snow, because this I know
Snow ain't so beautiful
-
Jules Feiffer has died.
-
Wow. If you'd asked me, I would have had no idea he was still around.
-
The sky took a white dump on my yard.
That's so poetic! :)
-
I'm up, I'm up - three hours of sleep - not good.
-
Back to Macbeth.
-
The sky took a white dump on my yard.
That's so poetic! :)
Ain’t it though?
-
Jules Feiffer has died.
:(
-
Was it Singdaw who found out he'd been signed up to follow Trump? How did you find that out?
DR Laura, go to Facebook and find "President Donald J Trump" page. If you are told you are now following him, block the page. Same with "Vice President JD Vance."
I was afraid of searching for those key words, for fear Facebook will now pester me relentlessly. But I did, and and everything was ok. At least for now.
-
Started listening to a fun culinary murder mystery called Knife Skills for Beginners. Our charming narrator is a gay chef who hasn’t achieved the fame of his mentor, a TV chef who ends up dead. It’s set in the Belgravia section of London.
-
Let’s quit this page.
-
Onward!
-
Three!
-
I shall shortly be on my way to breakfast.
-
Enter page three!
-
Nothing like a movie called Midnight at 10:48 am.
-
Claudette Colbert, Don Ameche, John Barrymore and Mary Astor. Charles Brackett and Billy Wilder script. Paris setting. Recipe for fun.
-
From DR Singdaw:
60,000!
Congratulations!
-
DR Rodzinski vibes all will be good at work today.
-
DR Rodzinski, either way I hope you find a better paying job that you enjoy.
-
From DR George,
Here are pictures of my car turning over 20000 miles:
Well done while driving 56 MPH ;)
-
From George:
And yes, I was actually driving at the time. ;)
I read this AFTER I posted ;D
-
It's doing that sn*w stuff outside right now, according to my weather app and will continue for the next two hours. Ugh.
Ugh.
-
Currently I am taking a break, because there is a black cat in my lap.
Sweet.
-
DR Laura are you having a cold spell there?
-
I completely missed a good millstone of my own, but like I always say, I never think to watch those things.
I usually only know because someone else mentioned it or captured it.
-
I looked on my FB but I can't find where I am able to see a list of who I follow.
Keith & I googled the directions on how to do that.
-
I pretty much get my news from a friend who texts it to me, or late night tv. That's enough for me.
That simplifies it for you.
-
Was it Singdaw who found out he'd been signed up to follow Trump? How did you find that out?
DR Laura, go to Facebook and find "President Donald J Trump" page. If you are told you are now following him, block the page. Same with "Vice President JD Vance."
I was afraid of searching for those key words, for fear Facebook will now pester me relentlessly. But I did, and and everything was ok. At least for now.
I told Keith not to look as I feared doing a search would add me to the "following". I could easily block them but I am curious if they will suddenly appear on my FB page.
-
An example of how I end up "following" or constantly being asked to follow someone....
A friend shared a post from a man who's comment I found interesting. I then liked the comment on my friend's page. I then looked the man up. While I liked some of what he said and disliked other and never intentionally followed him.
-
Last week I snoozed him for 30 days yet his posts kept showing up on my page.
Yesterday I deleted him from my list of people and groups I follow. So far I haven't seen him again.
-
I am now being very careful of what I "like" or comment on.
-
Nothing like a movie called Midnight at 10:48 am.
;D
-
At long last, the Swiss cheese and onion pie is in the oven.
-
And the sn*w has melted as the temperature has climbed to a whopping 35.
-
I completely missed a good millstone of my own, but like I always say, I never think to watch those things.
I usually only know because someone else mentioned it or captured it.
With alerting people that their millstone is coming up, preserving the millstone, offering congratulations to the person for each millstone, and then the person who has the millstone saying thank you for the congratulations -
That's got to be effective for adding posts and even pages.
And adding pages makes for a happier BK!
-
:)
-
Biden commuted the prison sentence of Leonard Pelletier, who will be going home presumably to die i’m going to miss Biden.
-
Tippi Hedren has turned 95. I didn’t realize she was still with us.
-
The house is smelling great.
-
DR JOHN G it is hilarious. It reminds me a lot of The Palm Beach Story a Preston Sturges movie
-
Swiss cheese and onion pie. With a charred crust.

Page three and it is now 3 degrees here.....headed for 7 degrees.

It does. Both have Mary Astor too.

-

That looks like it tastes great!
Time will tell.
-
I wished I had cooked some bacon to go with it.
-
The pie is a winter warmer winner. I added a little freshly grated nutmeg, which works beautifully.
-
Monty Woolley has just shown up in Midnight. And he’s stealing scenes right out from under the noses of masters John Barrymore and Mary Astor.
-
Not easy to do!
-
Swiss cheese and onion pie. With a charred crust.
OMG. Looking forward to the repor.
-
Re Tippi: 95 is great, but if I'm not mistaken it was reported last year that she was doing rather terribly in the dementia department. I hate saying that about anyone.
Well, actually, there are a few I'd like to be able to say it about.
-
Page three and it is now 3 degrees here.....headed for 7 degrees.
We're topping out at 18 or 19 today and tomorrow, with low single digits or even negatives overnight.
-
I was thinking about BK's continuing saga, and my mind went to this:
(click for bigness)
-
I think I have a DVD of that, but I've never watched it. The only time I know I've seen it was at a festival some 15 or 20 years ago in a wonderful (small, but wonderful) movie palace over in Suffern (Succotash?), NY.
-
In honor of the weather, I have a Japanese double feature, the first film of which is titled Lady Sn*wblood.
-
Oh, this is a bloodbath. The reds look so red against the white snow.
-
As they should.
-
I'm hungry but I am not sure what I want to eat.
I am watching a few episodes of Dark Shadows which is always fun.
-

Very true :)

Swiss cheese and onion pie. With a charred crust.
I have some gorgonzola if you need it.
-
In my death cleaning this morning, I found a gift card to the buffet. We figured we'd find out if there was any money left on it.
-
There was 62 cents.
-
So, at $30 for two people, we figured that would be our last trip, unless it's for a special occasion. Like a birthday or anniversary.
-
DR LAURA I am interested in the Swedish Death Cleaning and may even have participated in it myself.....do you have a more in depth description.
-
Because we are klassy like that.
-
well 62 cents IS 62 cents.
-
You look at each piece of your crap and ask yourself, "what would my kids do with this if I died?"
-
And if the answer is "They'd throw it away," well, then, you save them the trouble and throw it away yourself.
-
That's the gist of it, although someone wrote an entire book about it.
-
My first smile today!
-
So that silver-plated serving dish I got for second-place in an apple pie contest which I have NEVER ONCE used ... well, it's gone now.
-
Aww. Lucky little guy. Look at his cat tower. They love him.
-
One of the feet broke off of it, so it really wasn't usable anyway.
-
The silver-plated serving dish, not the cat tower.
-
I ate lots of meatloaf (my favorite) at the buffet, to iron up for my next blood donation.
-
There was 62 cents.
No wonder you saved the card ;)
-
And if the answer is "They'd throw it away," well, then, you save them the trouble and throw it away yourself.
I keep trying to do that but I am terrible at parting with things.
-
So that silver-plated serving dish I got for second-place in an apple pie contest which I have NEVER ONCE used ... well, it's gone now.
Congrats!
-
Ah.....that's good.....
-
The silver-plated serving dish, not the cat tower.
Thank you for the clarification. Wink, wink.
-
Stirring from a nap.

And if the answer is "They'd throw it away," well, then, you save them the trouble and throw it away yourself.
That is a good guideline!
-
We are now at 4 degrees.
-
My replacement credit card arrived today so now all of my accounts have been updated.

Three degrees warmer than Milwaukee. This is why we don't go there in the winter.

Great.

It helps to be in a bad mood. Rage cleaning can be a good thing.
-
True.
-
On Keith's 508th Wordle in a row he got it on two :)
-
Well, the Razzies loved Joker 2 and Megalopolis.
-
Please keep the vibes coming for my nephew. He still has a home, yet the winds have picked up and the fire is still burning.
-
My nephew was able to go to the house, which is filthy from the smoke, and get clothing and I don't know what else. It required a police escort to travel the roads there.
-
The clothes he took all need washing.
-
DR JANE that is astonishing.
-
DR JOHN and Cynthia Arizo unless I am reading it incorrectly
-
Will Trent has a new episode tonight.........
-
He is back in his suit if I am not mistaken.
-
Tuesday is pretty much a useless day.....if I am not mistaken.
-
If I am not mistaken it is dark now in my neck of the woods.
-
Page Six....if I am not mistaken.
Which I usually am.
After a few cocktails.
-
In this kind of weather.
-
The pair of keets are under cover at this time.
-
Dark before 6:30 p.m.
-
Please keep the vibes coming for my nephew. He still has a home, yet the winds have picked up and the fire is still burning.
Sending more vibes for Jane's nephew.
-
Jules Feiffer has died.
I saw that. :( But only 9 days before his 96th birthday.
-
DR JANE that is astonishing.
Yes it is :)
-
From DR George,
Here are pictures of my car turning over 20000 miles:

I was very careful.

Hello, Rupert!
-
Ah, the page that shall not be named.
-
I've proofed almost 100 pages. I changed the timeline so many times that I keep having to do minor adjustments as I come to them.
-
Made the appointment for the little bloodwork - that's on Friday at 1:30 and that will hopefully avoid all traffic.
-
And they'll now do a referral for the CAT scan.
-
Then I'm free of doctors until after Drat opens.
-
I'll leave for the call backs in an hour and fifteen minutes.
-
Had a thing for breakfast that was similar to something I used to have at Joe Allen. Eggs on a tortilla with chili (chorizo in NY).
-
It was good.
-
I'm very tired.
-
And if the answer is "They'd throw it away," well, then, you save them the trouble and throw it away yourself.
That is a good guideline!
But what if one has no kids? :-\
I guess people with no kids never have to throw anything out under the rules.
-

I also got my (second) replacement bank card today.
-
DR Jrand74 and I are twinsies.
-
DR Singdaw your first guess was correct. This is what Snopes had to say those that found they were following Trump and/or Vance.
"In short, Meta did not forcibly add Trump or Vance to Facebook users' follow lists. Rather, these users had already followed the official presidential and vice presidential Facebook accounts. These accounts use the handles @POTUS (short for "president of the United States") and @VicePresident, as the screenshots below show. Trump and Vance took control of the accounts on Jan. 20 as part of the presidential transition process."
-
I'm guessing you were following POTUS vs actual accounts under their names.
-
Thank you, DR Jane.
-
It sure felt good blocking them, though. :)
-
Good evening!

Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Lin-Manuel Miranda is back on the charts. I Always Wanted a Brother from Mufasa is in the top 50.
-
Just found out the shelter is open only when the temperature drops below 32. Thursday’s low is supposed to be 33, so they may take a day off. Friday and Saturday are supposed to be back in the 20s, so they’re planning for then.
-
I had a weird mishap tonight. I was wearing an old pair of shoes that keep my feet warm. I haven’t worn them in years. Apparently they were old enough for the glue to have given up the ghost. The entire sole of my right shoe fell off.
-
Thankfully they had some sort of industrial strength spray glue that reattached the sole and I could finish off four hours.
-
Every night has been different. But some of the people have been repeats.
-
Finishing off the Lady Sn*wblood sequel. Lots o’ carnage.
-
Everything was ramped up to an 11 in this one.
-
Hot diggity.
-
I can see why Quentin Tarantino loved it so.
-
A definite precursor to Kill Bill.
-

How fortuitous!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Vibes to Jane’s nephew and all others in the burned areas.
-
We all knew there would be pushback from the executive orders, but I didn’t expect it from the National Cathedral pulpit. Good for the bishop! No everyone is rolling over. Did you see Melania’s face? Quite a frown.
-
And they were even worse than I expected. Maybe he’s thinking he’ll do a shock-and-awe approach and get it over with. I think he’ll be surprised at the reaction. He likes to be admired, not hated.
-
Apparently, Lorenz Hart's size is not glossed very in Blue Moon, if the photo in this story is accurate.

Onward!

Nine!

Hi, Jeanne.
-
Good night, all.
-
I see Laura has found a constructive way to channel her anger and rage. 😡 I suspect many people need to do that.
-
Hi, John G. Good night, John G.
-
Hi, George.
-
Busy day tomorrow.
Good night.
-
Callbacks were fun and I think we're cast, should everyone from the outside agree to do it.

Gratuitous Post #250!!
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Someone had to.
-
The damn notes don't write themselves.
-
And the notes shall be read.
