Well, you've read the notes, the notes mentioned decisions but came to no conclusions, and now it is time for you to post until the decisive cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TOPNOTCH!

Good morning, all.
-
Up early for rehearsals this morning. I've been awake for over an hour and finally gave up trying to just rest in bed.
-
Last night's George Stevens/George Stevens Jr. event was excellent.
-
Tomorrow brings more rehearsals and an evening concert, but it also brings an unwelcome nor'easter through here so who in the HELL knows what's going to happen with all of that. I certainly don't.
-
Thanks, George, for the millstone congratulations in last night's posts!
-
Very nice flyer for the Kritzerland show in today's notes!
-
Has anyone been in touch with Iris recently? Hoping she's OK.
-
Good morning, all!
-
In deciding whether or not to relay the juicy-sounding story hinted at in the notes, it's worth recalling the saying:
"I never repeat scurrilous gossip - so listen carefully the first time!"
-
I'm very tired this morning. I'd like to go back to bed and stay there for a week or so.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Spiffy flyer!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Headed for the hills.
-
Tarred and feathered?
-
Undoubtedly.
-
Hope is the thing with tar and feathers.
-
Someone said that once.
-
Once was enough.
-
But Never on Sunday.
-
I am rambling.
-
I was born a ramblin' man.
-
Ramblin' Rose.
-
My first car was a 1968 Ramblin' American.
I liked it except that it had vacuum wipers that stopped working when you accelerated.
-
Why is "Strouse" not pronounced "Stroose"?
-
Congrats to DR FREDDIE on his new millstone.
-
As in "streusel."

Been to three of the getting places....and got most of what I need.
Some foodstuffs at the handy Walmart.
Some juice and sunflower seeds at the Dollar (25) Tree.
Filled up Petey the PT Cruiser with petrol and also filled up my lawn mower can for mowing the grass.
-
And the tariffs have killed the compact makeups I use at the Theeder for the guys. They have NO colors I can use.....for about a month and a half.
They also no longer have the small bags of smooth stones I was going to use for The Cemetery Club......
-
If you don't have anything nice to say - come sit next to me.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! Just sitting here drinking coffee and waiting for it to rain - again.
-
Congrats to DR FREDDIE on his new millstone.
Thank you, Jrand!

That's quite a lot accomplished before 9:30 a.m. (Eastern)

This is nice - I wonder if some people searching for the Randy Rainbow Trump "That's Entertainment" parody are happening on mine in that search as it was getting views out of nowhere - So I figured why not just put my Trump "That Ain't Containment" parody link out there again?
With trying to get YouTube views, its dignity, always dignity. :)
From my That Ain't Containment timeline - "video snapshot" from when Trump and Cuomo were harmonious in summer 2020 - That's Entertainment Parody
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuSeE_KIcVc
With Trump's administration and Cuomo legally clashing so strongly now - it's worth recalling that there was that unexpected period of time when they were harmonious during summer 2020 (and that maybe anything in politics can be ephemeral).
-
Did I see Cuomo is favorite to be the next mayor? What a world.
-
It looks like Cuomo settled the case with his most active accuser on the sexual harassment claim.
-
Cuomo certainly has the most name recognition of the candidates who are being taken seriously.
-
Why is "Strouse" not pronounced "Stroose"?
Why is "louse" not pronounced "loose"?
-
Following the written text, I'm up to chapter 5 "The Fierce Goblin Hunters." I'm really enjoying the reading this time around.
-
Good morning.
-
On Monday I was cleaning and refilling Leonard's water fountain. All was going well. I was straightening up, and my knee went POP!
-
Did I see Cuomo is favorite to be the next mayor? What a world.
He's got my vote. I always thought his inglorious end to governor was a political nightmare, much like Al Franken. Our current mayor Eric Adams is an untrustworthy Trump sycophant. Time to take out that trash.
-
It surprised me and was sore for a few minutes and then was ok.
-
I walked my usual four or five miles yesterday, no problem.
-
I got up during the night a couple of times, and all was fine. Until I got up around 5 a.m. It is quite sore today.
-
I'm hobbling around. I am skipping my walk, of course. It felt better with some ice. I really hope I didn't do any damage.
-
Yesterday I donated blood. It usually doesn't affect me. Sometimes I am tired afterwards.
-
Last night I went to bed at 6:30 p.m. and I was OUT. I woke up a couple of times -- once to get some Tylenol for a headache. But I went back to sleep pretty quickly.
-
Since I'm going to be sitting here most of the day, I guess I have no more excuses for putting off typing up those minutes .....
-
My first car was a 1968 Ramblin' American.
I liked it except that it had vacuum wipers that stopped working when you accelerated.
My parents’ first NEW car was a 1960 Ramblin’ American, and they stayed with Ramblin’s for their next three cars.
-
I’m between rehearsals, enjoying a sausage and egg McMuffin and two - TWO - hash browns. Which cost me dearly. I could still eat more, but I shan’t.
I will, however, take advantage of being on this side of town and stop in at Trader Joe’s for a few goodies.

Just had to share. :)

I did fine. I sometimes get headaches. This one was probably a bit of dehydration. I live in the desert, after all.

I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of sleep - got up at one and have been catching up on things.
-
I've been helping a very nice lady at the downtown library for the past few weeks.
-
They were gifted a ton of celebrity slides at various locations. She knows I know locations here really well, so I've been helping to ID. For example, she had Charles Laughton entering what she thought was a restaurant. It took me an hour or so, but it wasn't a restaurant. The photos are dated and this was 1962. He was filming Advise and Consent at the time. So, I checked the Columbia studios on Gower - I always search off photos. And there it was - he was going in the main entrance on Gower, camera facing toward Sunset.
-
I identified some smaller LA theaters like the interior of the Coronet and the Stage Society Theater. I identified I think it was Glenn Ford in a parking lot - Beverly Hills Hotel.
-
Today's was an actor named Jack Ging - standing in a parking lot. She thought it could be CBS Television City or CBS Columbia Square. Television City was out. Front of Columbia Square was out. So, I got the street view map, went to it, navigated to the street just west of it, El Centro, and found their little parking lot, but it was confusing because it looked like he was standing across the street from CBS - but no, the building across the street I got immediately - the side of the Hollywood Palladium - very distinct up and down lines on the building that match perfectly as did the windows.
-
Then I went back to across the street and put Jack in front of the door that matched the location of the door in the street view - it's a different door now, but above it is a very distinct looking window and that matches perfectly. So, bingo.
-
Ordered a Chinese chicken salad.
-
The story I'd tell is not juicy nor gossip.
-
Enter page four.
-
Very fun photo mystery solving!
-
I live in the desert, after all.
So it's a dry heat, then? 8)

I'm sorry about your knee, DR Laura. ~~~MEGA RECUPERATION VIBES~~~

It is my understanding that one should drink water before doing labs. I would think that you need to drink lots of water before donating blood.

Back to Memoir of a Snail, which is good but a bit depressing. I can understand its Oscar nomination for best animated film. And I did laugh at the image of an elderly exotic dancer playing ping-pong with Fidel Castro.
-
Finished Michael Connelly’s latest, Nightshade. It launches a new detective, Stillwell, and he’s an interesting character. But the mystery itself was thin and too readily apparent.
-

That's wonderful that you're willing and able to help out like that, BK!

The lead voice in Snail is Sarah Snook from Succession.

Wow, it was just released yesterday. Darn about the mystery.
-
I can borrow Nightshade as well as four other books that became available to me yesterday, plus I am already reading a book. Decisions, decisions.

We're about 4-6 weeks away from fresh sour cherry season here. That will be time to make my clafoutis, plus rice pulao with sour cherries.

That you read it quickly in one day.

I checked it out. It sounds like it will be an easy read.

I'm currently reading The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong and it is taking me longer than usual to get through it, mostly because I've had less time to read.

I drink soooo much water. But it is out of my system quickly. Then the bloodletting takes some. And I drink more afterwards because I'm thirsty. It's strange.

Singdaw, be sure to make your Facebook page and all other social media pages private. The lawyers' staff will be reading everything. They will look for reasons to throw out your verdict and/or to haul jurors in front of the judge for misconduct.
-
In all the years I've had Facebook, the ONLY time I received a message from Facebook that someone had attempted to access my account was when I was on a jury.
-
Take seriously their threat about talking about the case with anyone.
-
And when the case is over, DO NOT TALK TO THE LAWYERS WHEN THEY COME INTO THE JURY ROOM. They are looking for anyone to say anything so they can throw out the verdict and possibly charge a juror with misconduct.
-
We'll be glad to hear your thoughts when it's over.

Thanks DR KEVIN H.

We are thrilled with the new space and the layout and all the light. But unpacking boxes is lagging - there isn't a lot of energy or time for it. But it will get done.

It's not THAT far away.

Putting it together.

I will go, man, go.

I will rock around the clock.

It could happen.

See?

I've read them.

I wrote them.
