Well, you've read the notes, but have you read them three times in one day, and now it is time for you to post until the three times in one day cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GNATHONIC!
-
Welcome, 2,412 GUESTS.

Busy night for GUESTS.

And 274 of those Guests are still hanging out, probably looking for a happening place after the bars have closed.
Or maybe they're just early for Sunday brunch?
-
So, yesterday, I had dinner with several friends from high school (we all reconnected after last year's 40th reunion). We meet quasi-monthly at a different place at 4:00 pm, and stay until whenever.
-
This time, we went to a local (non-Native) casino and ate there. The food was pretty good (I had the country fried steak breakfast) and we didn't leave until about 1:45 am! We just ate and talked, and I drank diet Coke all evening! Then I came home. :)
-
I first caught up on last night's posts, so a few things from last night:
~~~Vibes for Jeanne's Friend Jan and Her Husband!!~~~
-
~~~Condo Vibes for Jeanne!!~~~
-
Congrats on the rave review, MichaelG!

Glad you had a good time!
Did your friends partake in some adult beverages, George? That often gets tongues wagging and gossip flowing.
-
Sending more vibes for Jeanne's friend Jan and her husband. :(
-
Today is going to be an Into the Woods day! At 3:00 pm, we have our paper tech, then the cue-to-cue run at 5:00 pm. We'll take however long it takes! The music tracks (sadly, no live band) are on an iPad, but (former) DR Jed, the director, sent some extra sound effects tracks that will need to be added to the sound system somehow. Hopefully, it will be easy. I know not how to do it...but it will get done!
-
The notes mentioned the movie Anna and the King.
Maybe it's time for another try at the Anna and the King sitcom.
Remember this from 1970 or so?

You can tell it's a comedy because of hijinx like the young Prince tripping young Louis, who takes a pratfall and luckily doesn't break his neck. (around 0:44 into that link)

Thanks, Freddie! We have two women named Linda. One Linda had a margarita, and the other Linda had a Long Island Ice Tea. Both were ordered after their full meals had been consumed, and were finished several hours before we left. No unsafe driving occurred. :)

That's sounds like it was both fun and sensible!

Yup. I probably did stay longer than I should have (because of the long day today...I also need to do some laundry), but it was quite enjoyable.
-
So, I shall say good night, all!

Good night, George!

Good morning, all!

I slept okay. Around 4:30 the cats got a bit rambunctious and Annabelle has spent the past hour sneezing like mad.

BK have you seen this?

DR Jeanne, I hope everything with the condo goes well in your favor!
-
More A&T work today. This process seems endless.
-
I've been thinking about Memorial Days from my childhood: my mother and her sisters ravaging the peonies growing outside our dining room and kitchen windows and filling urns with them and flowers from her sisters' gardens on the day before. Then the Memorial Day parade down Main Street - my Uncle Paul was always on the American Legion float - followed by a long day at Woodside Cemetery where my mother and father, her sisters and their spouses decorated the graves of my grandparents and other deceased family members while my cousins, brothers and I were either in the way, bored out of our minds, or running wild among the graves.
It all seems another time, another life, and another world.
-
Page 2 Dance!

More A&T work today. This process seems endless.
Can it be more time consuming than writing a musical?
-
Hopefully, A&T adaptations will follow. It sounds like adaptation potential is there in the material.
-
Forgot Andrew Lloyd Webber - This is what cats are really like! :)
-
Still 240 Guests in HHW at 8 a.m. (eastern)! That's impressive.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Off shortly to sing at church this morning.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Great review, MichaelG.
-
And the word of the day is: GNATHONIC!
I thought my gnu was gnathonic, but what do I gnow?
-
Good morning, all.
-
Today is my sister Brigitte’s birthday. She’s celebrating in Croatia, her favorite campground.
-
I don't recall the Memorial Days, specifically, from my early years. I'm sure we did something, certainly attending parades and probably visiting the cemeteries, but no memory in particular pops into my mind. I guess my own appreciation for such developed in my adult years.
-
A fine review, DR MichaelG. Will there be any video snippets posted? It would be great to see and hear something from this one.
-
Encouraging news from DR Jeanne! Here's hoping this one comes to fruition. Of course you will keep us informed!

For a while, I could reach the notes page, but not the posts.

After-lol. I am pretty good at making one drink last through a meal.
-
Wow. Judging by the time stamps on the posts, the site was unreachable for nearly four hours.
-
Waiting until after eating is certainly better if one plans to drive. I never drink and drive.

Fun. Happy birthday Brigitte.

Happy Birthday Brigitte!

Whew I am watching the Indy 500 LIVE!

HHW was MIA for awhile.....I felt lost.

Page Three.

Rehearsal vibes for DR GEORGE & Co.
-
Congrats to DR MICHAEL G on the fine review!
It's always nice to be appreciated.
-
A fine review, DR MichaelG. Will there be any video snippets posted? It would be great to see and hear something from this one.
Eventually there will be on the company's home page. But there aren't any video clips from our previous production up yet, so it may take a while. Maybe it will happen over the summer when we take a break from productions.
-
Thanks for all the congratulations. Hopefully today's matinee goes more smoothly than opening night. I'm sure we'll be reviewing the storm scene during our chorus warmups.
-
Wow. Judging by the time stamps on the posts, the site was unreachable for nearly four hours.
Yes, I tried several times between 10:00 and noon.
-
LOL DR ELMORE.
-
Glad the site is back up. Now, what was I going to post?
-
I'm up, I'm up - I guess I got eight hours of sleep.
-
I got an email about the site from Donald. I'll find out what the issue was.
-
Glad the site is back up. Now, what was I going to post?

DR MichaelG, congratulations on your rave review.

Good afternoon.
-
This morning I was the storyteller at church. I read a children's picture book about Ruby Bridges.
-
I had a hard time getting through it, with two six-year-olds sitting beside me and a six-year-old of my own.

The kids were all very quiet and the adults were as well. I was able to have the pictures on the screen while I read, so the grownups could see them.

What a great idea.
-
Several people came up afterwards and thanked me for the story. Some folks remember. But most of us were too young.
-
The pastor worked it into his sermon, even though he didn't know I was going to read it.
-
The thought of adults shouting hateful things to a six-year-old is sickening.
-
And that was my DEI rebellion for today.

It was nice of them to show their appreciation. I remember watching all the news stories about her.
-
FOUR!
-

Cool.

I know. At one point she could not eat anything at school that her mother had not made her due to threats of poison. Was that in the children's story?
-
And that was my DEI rebellion for today.
;D You did well.
-
I can't imagine letting my 6 year old child do that.
-
Several people came up afterwards and thanked me for the story.
That's wonderful, Laura!

It just said that she took her lunch pail to school.
-
I suspected it wasn't mentioned.
-
Laura is my new hero.
-
I remember the Norman Rockwell painting of her.

Gratuitous post 101!

I remember the Norman Rockwell painting of her.

Thanks for the link. It is a wonderful painting.
-
It was some server issue.
-
The site, not lunch.
-
Had a chopped Eyetalian salad for food.
-
It was good. Shouldn't food and good rhyme?
-
Just been flipping around YouTube watching Don Rickles - when he's on he's ON.
-
I'm watching The End, a post-apocalypse musical with Tilda Swinton. It's different. It's quirky. It doesn't entirely work. But it's not a total failure.
-
But it's long. I'm not going to finish it tonight.
-
Well, I'm gonna choose those damn three songs right the HELL now, and then I'm going to DO some writing, and then, and only then, I might try to find a movie to watch. And lest we forget, no one uses the word lest anymore. Also, tomorrow is a HOLIDAY.
-
Lest we forget.
-
I'd like to forget lest.
-
But lest won't let me.
-
Has lest ever been used in a song?
-
Page four seems random. Then again, we were down for four hours this morning. Lest we forget.
-
That was an injustice. Server problem. No tip.
-
All right, I'm choosing those damn songs and that's all there is to it.
-
Where the HELL is page five already.
-
I'm dancing as fast as I can.
-
And yet...
-
Finally!
-
Has lest ever been used in a song?
Lest Me Entertain You?
-
Judge Not Lest You Be Judged - a song for the judges on American Idol?
-
Yesterday we got a huge amount of grape tomatoes in our vegetable box. I picked up some feta cheese yesterday, and for lunch after church we made that TikTok pasta again. If I could only have one kind of pasta dish for the rest of my life, this would be it.
-
And that's the only good thing to come from TikTok, in my opinion.
-
I did watch the end of The End. Interesting experiment.
-
And I started The Dancing Pirate in primitive but effective color.
-
The two Rodgers and Hart songs were good. One was a waltz set to a Mexican-style orchestration.
-
I’ll finish it tomorrow.
-
I’m fading.
-
Good night, all.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
You'd think it was a holiday weekend.
-
Lest is more.
-
I've been watching a VERY peculiar motion picture. Everything about it is slightly off, and yet I don't want to turn it off. The performances are beyond odd, the direction is weird, the score is beyond weird, and yet...
-
I'll finish it after I post the notes. I only have about forty minutes to go.
-
I have some tempura on the way - that's light and veggies.
-
Is anybody there?
-
Does anybody care?
-
Does anybody see what I see?
-
I did some writing - about five pages, so that's good. This first chapter has a lot o' stuff in it that will pay off shortly.
-
No posts in over an HOUR???
-
And George gone for most of the day and evening.
-
And us - stuck on page FIVE.
-
Not very sporting.
-
And certainly ridic.
-
And yet...
-
One cannot run from the truth.
-
And the truth is nobody's here but us chickens.
-
Us chickens is/are here, clucking away.
-
Well, at least we got to page six.
-
Now, get me off this damn page.
-
And yet, we have 2,507 GUESTS.
-
Say what?
-
All those GUESTS, and only I am keeping the home fries burning.
-
I am trying my best.
-
I am doing my darnedest.
-
I am stoking the fire.
-
I am pushing the cart.
-
All to no avail.
-
We need some damn avail around here.
-
Midnight is nigh
-
George has gone the way of all flesh, but who hasn't?
-
Rodzinksi showed up.
-
I’ll avail myself of some posting
-
That makes two of us.
-
Should we have a race to the next page?
-
I showed up this morning but the website did not
-
It could happen.
-
The race is on!
-
Four HOURS we were done.
-
Damn them, damn them all to HELL.
-
On is the race!
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Rodzinski is mentioned in them.
-
Wonder how the Pirates musical is faring at the box office
-
To the dam finish line.
-
Or at least the damn Finnish line.
-
Northside page 777
-
And yet, we're still on this damn page.
-
No, we're not. We're on a new damn page.
-
The fishing line?
-
Hallelujah.
-
Michael, row the boat ashore.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Out damned page!
-
I think we've gone about as far as we can go.
-
What if Michael just, like, didn’t row?
-
Onward Christian soldiers.
-
Onward Jewish accountants.
-
Instead of hallelujah they’d sing “darn it.”
-
Onward Randy Vicars.
-
Onward Christian Bale!
-
Today is my sister Brigitte’s birthday. She’s celebrating in Croatia, her favorite campground.
A Very Happy (belated) Birthday to Brigitte!
-
Miami Vicars, great 80s show.
-
With Reverend Sonny Crockett.
-
My life has changed very little under this new pope.
-
Well, our Into the Woods paper tach and cue-to-cue went pretty well.
