Well, you've read the notes, the notes were behind and ahead and in the middle, and now it is time for you to post until the behind us cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BEAUTIFY!
-
Welcome, 4,755 GUESTS.
-
That's a whole mess of GUESTS.
-
Where the HELL is George?
-
Gone the way of all flesh, I presume.
-
Hopefully, they'll get this here site back to normal soon.
-
George, thanks for that info in last night's posts, about the "Legally Blonde" telecast during its Broadway run.
-
John G, your post about cupping capability at home sounds very interesting.

Regarding the TOD, I found it noteworthy that "The Pee-wee Herman Show" was the very first show at the newly named Stephen Sondheim Theatre, after the renaming happened in 2010.
-
They fixed the problem and all is well.
-
And now, to bed.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Must go to work.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well. When the alarm rang, I did not want to get out of bed, so I lay there for 30 minutes while Annabelle and Thatch walked all over me.
-
Speaking of Annabelle and Thatch, I got through eight chapters yesterday. I have four chapters to go, and I can send my notes to Robert.
-
I saw last night's insane holiday rant. My favorite sentence contained a reference to the "21,000,000 million" murderers and rapists the liberals have allowed to enter the country. That's how many zeroes? 21,000,000,000,000,000? Am I missing another set of zeroes? That's beyond trillion, I think. What comes after that?
God, do I detest this fat orange blob of hate-mongering imbecility!
-
I have two major events today" finish the A&T edits and get a small Instacart order. In my copious free time, I may make a pitcher of iced tea' it's my new obsession.
-
Last night I watched the final two episodes of Miss Austen. I recommend it. I'd like to read the novel now.
-
I think my first exposure to Pee-Wee Herman was the Tim Burton film. My friend Diane, whom I met around 1980 at the Drama Book Shop, plays the waitress who wants to go to Paris. That led me to his Pee-Wee's playhouse special, which I also loved. I could not stand the circus movie Big Top Pee-Wee, which I don't think Tim Burton could have saved.
-
I got 3.3 inches of rain last night, according to the gauge. And there’s no standing water. The ground just absorbed it all.
-

I have a reservation on it. After vacation some time.
-
I moved to Sarasota, Fla., in late 1991, a few months after his arrest. I worked with Karen Dillon, the woman who recognized the name Paul Rubens on the arrest report and broke the story. She faced a lot of flak for that. But it was legitimate news.
-
I think Pee-Wee’s Christmas special is one of the most deliriously subversive things I have ever seen.
-
Notes thatched. Annabelled.
-
My mom somehow knew of Pee-Wee before me. She called me in to watch one of his early Letterman appearances. He just got bigger and bigger after that. I can’t say I shared Mom’s affinity. Never saw the movies or the Playhouse. One of my sisters had a doll.

Page Two!

Such continuous hell this mornng:
1. Attempted to install new toner cartridge into printer. Amaqzon clains it fits. I don't think so. Jen is coming down to confirm.
2. Tried to deal with automated HP Customer Service 3-4 times by phone. Sheer hell.
3. Too much time looking over HP Toner on Amazon in search of solution.
4. Too much time spent looking for toner carton after cats played with it. Under bed.
5. Removed grandma's quilt from bedding.
I am an hour behind schedule and Jen will put me furether behind.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Well, here it is, the Monday that is a TUESDAY.
And it's screwing many things up. If only in my po' little mind.
-
I have to keep reminding myself that this is, in fact, Tuesday.
I have a rehearsal this afternoon, and a movie tonight at the Bedford Playhouse -- Bad Day at Black Rock -- which will be great to see in a theater because I don't know if I ever did. If so, it would have been at some revival house or film festival, but I have no memory of what my first time seeing that one would have been. And the Cinemascope images are so lovely.
-
I know next to nothing about Paul Reubens or Pee-wee Herman. The character never seemed like anything I'd have the slightest interest in, and I never saw the shows or movies. I knew about the arrest when it happened, but I probably never followed more than a news report or two back then.
Edit: I'll probably give that documentary a spin sometime soon, just to know something about what it was all about.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven hours of sleep.
-
Have already shaved.
-
I'll leave for the lunch meeting around twelve-fifteen - it's really only six or seven minutes from here.
-
Hello.
-
Just a very brief stop here as I just returned home and am headed out again.
-
Good afternoon, friends.
-
And others.
-
Trial is over, verdict reached, and jury duty is done.
-
We ended up finding the defendant guilty on one of three counts.
-
It was a domestic abuse case.
-
A classic she said/he said.
-
It was an interesting experience, but I am glad it is over. We only deliberated about 2.5 hours.
-
Well, the site was down around 12:30 EST.
-
Jen came down, took the new toner cartridge, and slid it right into its cradle while I stood there feeling incompetet and inadequate.
-
Trial is over, verdict reached, and jury duty is done.
Great!
-
It was a domestic abuse case.
:(
-
A classic she said/he said.
Sadly those are hard to determine.
-
Leaving for rehearsal in a bit.
-
I have two chapters to go. I had hoped to get through the last four today, but other forces prevailed.
-
I was going to be leaving for the movie theeder about now, but those other forces dropped in on me, too, and there’s no way it’s happening today.
-
That’s okay. I’ll take the quieter evening at home. I have to get up early tomorrow, anyhoo.
-
Back from a nice lunch at a proper English pub - why it's taken me this many years to try it is unknown. I had a BLTA today and it was very good, but I'll be back to try the shepherd's pie and other proper English foods. Next door, they have a proper English store with all my favorite Brit candies, so I got a few gummy things, two Cherry Ripes and a Cadbury fruit and nut chocolate bar. In England, they still use actual chocolate, unlike the crap they use here.
-
Why, may I ask, are we still on page two?
-
Time to do some writing.
-
But I'm not leaving until we're off this damn page.
-
See?

Was this in Santa Monica?
-
The kids watched the Pee-Wee Herman Shows and I hated Pee-Wee Herman.
-
Thanks goodness it wasn't until we walked out of the theater after watching Flight of the Navigator that they told me Reubans was the voice of the ship.
-
I actually liked him as the voice of the ship, and am very, very glad I did not know ahead of time it was Pee-Wee ;D
-
I have never watched any of the Pee-Wee iterations, but I thought the documentary was interesting.
-
:)
-
Too true!
-
I applied for a job hanging mirrors.

It's something I can see myself doing.

Really important. :)

What is this page three malarkey?
-
You'd think it was the day after a holiday or something.
-
It has been very gray and gloomy here today.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Call me exhausted. I went to bed around midnight, but just couldn’t fall asleep. Active Brain Syndrome? Perhaps. I finally dozed off around 4 and slept for 3.5 hours. That’s not enough!
-
Today I had a meeting with the lender. Their mortgage consultant is very knowledgeable, but talks a mile a minute, and this is information I want to understand and remember. A good meeting, though. Step by step…
-
:)
;D
-
Then I had to wrestle with some very user-unfriendly software.
-
You'd think it was the day after a holiday or something.
I think traffic to Portland was a wee bit lighter this morning. Maybe some people extended their holiday.
-
Jane might think that 3.5 hours sleep is a long night. Hello, Jane!
-
Singdaw, I think you posted about singing in church again. Your voice is doing better?
-
Mega healing vibes to Vixmom and Iris and anyone else needing them.
-
It has been very gray and gloomy here today.
Sorry. It was nice here. I enjoyed wearing a summer blouse today.
-
It only took about 30 minutes to drive to my appointment, and another 20 minutes to park in the parking lot and walk to the office.
-

I know too well how that is not enough sleep.

Good. More vibes you get a place of your own.
-
This DR is going to try to take a nap.
Vibes to all.
TTFN.

Jane might think that 3.5 hours sleep is a long night. Hello, Jane!
Closer to 4 hours-lol. My biggest problem is that I read to counter an overactive brain and that now makes my eyes more dry and painful.
-
Hello DR Jeanne :)
-
FOUR!
And because it is the beginning of peach season,

I guess this "feud" is really a thing.
Even the NY Times has an article on the Audra McDonald - Patti LuPone tension.
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/27/theater/patti-lupone-audra-mcdonald-kecia-lewis.html
"The Patti LuPone Drama With Audra McDonald and Kecia Lewis, Explained
The offstage tensions between three Broadway stars became public after a dispute over sound levels, an Instagram post and a much-talked-about magazine article."

Keith got Wordle in three.
-
Good afternoon.
-
I picked up DIL and Grandson so they could have a lunch date. Grandson didn't want to go. He wanted to go to Grandpa's house and play with him.
-
I was very mean.
-
I told him Grandpa was sick and the he had me for the day. He was sad about that.
-
But we went to Bookman's used book store and picked out a half-dozen or so books. He's very good at reading, but he has no use for it, really. He wants screen time.
-
Then we went to Winco, which is not close by but was close to the restaurant. He had great fun scooping things from the bulk bins.
-
He talked Grandma into five kinds of candy.
-
We picked out bananas and apples for Grandpa, and we got a lot of peanuts for the squirrels and birds.
-
Then we stopped at a fast-food place and indulged in some fast food.
-
Then it was time to pick up Mama and take them both home.
-
He seemed happy all day. But I bet he complains that he didn't get to play with Grandpa.
-
But Grandma had a fun day.
-
Dozed off for a bit. Did a bit of writing and will try more before the boys come to work on the video.
-
Jane, the Brit place is just up the street from me here in Sherman Oaks.
-
Just two blocks from where Muse Margaret used to live.
-
Started watching a movie - I thought I'd seen it before, but it doesn't seem familiar at this point.
-
Long day at the polls. We processed 840 voters, but with half the staff we usually have had.
-
I’m exhausted.

You are so horrible ;)

I told him Grandpa was sick and the he had me for the day. He was sad about that.
Awww, I am sorry that you weren't enough. I love that you had a special day with him.
-
But we went to Bookman's used book store and picked out a half-dozen or so books. He's very good at reading, but he has no use for it, really. He wants screen time.
That sounds like fun to me. Does he like children's graphic novels?

Now that's what I call page turn art you can sink your teeth into!
-
Mini M&Ms, kisses, Jelly Bellies, Tootsie Rolls, and .... something I can't remember right now.
-
Yum.
-
Starting an Errol Flynn swashbuckler called Against All Flags. It’s kinda silly.
-
Silly but fun?
-
Rehearsal was fine....half of the cast are off book for Act One.

So glad rehearsals are going well!

Silly but fun?
At times.
-
Singdaw, I think you posted about singing in church again. Your voice is doing better?
Oh, I can't do it professionally any more. But I can volunteer here and there.
-
:)
-
:)
-
You are doing good deeds, DR John G. More power to ya!
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
The best part of the movie was Maureen O’Hara as a feminist pirate who has some fun sword fights at the end. Of course, she ends up melting into Errol Flynn’s arms.
-
:)
Very good.
-
Good night all.
-
Into the Woods rehearsal is done for the night and I'm finally heading home.
-
Hello/Goodbye
-
I'm starving, so I need to get me something before I hie myself back to Tumwater.
-
In the meantime, today's travel listening has been (and still is) the original German cast recording to Mein Freund Bunbury, as released by Kritzerland Records. :)
-
Hello/Goodbye
Almost an Evita reference. ;D
-
What is it? Fish?
-
Whew! We're back!
-
Hello, Jrand. :)
-
I sent my last message at what is noted at 11:02 pm, then the site went down! :o

Now, to ketchup on today's posts. ::)
-
George, thanks for that info in last night's posts, about the "Legally Blonde" telecast during its Broadway run.
You're welcome, Freddie.
-
And speaking of Legally Blonde, someone four years ago, posted an enhanced version of the musical that had been shown on MTV and it's a very good improvement. It's obviously not a hi-def image. It's an upscale and enhanced image, but it's better than what had been previously available:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OrwZ89cKNfI (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OrwZ89cKNfI)
-
This is what it says in the description:
Newly RE-CAPTURED from the original TiVo files through HDMI, giving an incredible upscale!
This is probably the highest quality copy available of the broadcast that we'll get, But we can always pray MTV re-airs the broadcast in actual HD.
-
I really like this show...I don't care what anybody says! ;)
-
Have no idea how long we were down, but I read them the riot act and it will be fixed once and for all.
-
Regarding the TOD, I found it noteworthy that "The Pee-wee Herman Show" was the very first show at the newly named Stephen Sondheim Theatre, after the renaming happened in 2010.

Hey, the timestamp is right.

That's a first.

I find it lovely.
