Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the last of May notes, and now it is time for you to post until the last of May cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: OPPORTUNITY!
-
That's a song from Levi.
-
But what isn't?
-
George is probably living it up and painting the town red, celebrating opening night.
-
Notes gnawed. Chewed.
-
TOD: Filet medium rare. Is there bacon wrapped around it? Very nice, I’ll take it.
-
I found this on YouTube - sounds Australian to me, this guy does. Fast forward to 9:30.

-
The Smokehouse filet comes with a giant onion ring - it's great but I was so full I could not finish it.
-
I could NOT finish it. But I wouldn't mind it right now.
-
What about it?
-
George must REALLY be painting the town and going the way of all flesh, if you get my meaning, which I'm sure you do.
-
I'll bet he's even eating - FOOD.
-
I haven't eaten food since dinner and I'll try to keep it that way.
-

That's fantastic, BK!

Welcome, 18,545 GUESTS.
-
Seriously?
-
Who are you people?
-
What are they looking for?
-
Love in all the wrong places?
-
I feel that soon we will be the most popular site on all the Internet.
-
Maybe I should go to bed?
-
Was waiting to hear about opening night but apparently the town has been painted several different colors and George is still eating.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Must get to work soon.
-
Not enough sleep. Weird dreams of working for a corrupt winemaker.
-
TOD:
I got back and forth between ribeye and New York strip. Medium rare.
-
What are they looking for?
BK, do your statistics tell you what day's notes or what day's posts the various Guests are viewing?
-
I feel that soon we will be the most popular site on all the Internet.
With the cleanest teeth.
-
Enjoyed reading about your recent articles, DR Rodzinski.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
PAGE TWO
-
And others.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am very tired, and my legs were not happy yesterday, so I plan on spending most of the day in bed with three cats.
-
DR Laura, sad news about Asha. I'm so sorry. I cannot believe her original owner had her for 12 years ans gave her up because of his wife. I'd have kept the cat and lost the wife.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I awoke at six on the dot and have just been ketchuping on posts and such.
-
Coffee!!!
Oh. Here it is.
-
I'll take any steak anyone posts. Medium rare. Medium's good, too, sometimes.
-
I found this on YouTube - sounds Australian to me, this guy does. Fast forward to 9:30.

That's really cool, BK!

Topic of the Day: not a fan of steak of any kind. :P
-
Footnote: I do like rare, occasionally, but not to the extent that people who always say 'rare' take it.
-
Last night's op'nin' of Moon Over Buffalo was everything an op'nin' should be. She's got a perfect cast, set, costume design, and tech support. To these eyes and ears, it was flawless from beginning to end. Right out of the starting gate. With perfect flow and timing on everything, which Ms. Canova must have learned ... somewhere. 8)
A delightful evening of theeder, and how great to be sitting in the audience again. Maybe I'll go back before it closes. It's a four-weekend run.
-
Happy 60th Birthday (yesterday) to Joe Allen Restaurant.
BK celebrated at the Smoke House.
-
Good morning.
-
Damn it to HELL...? Walgreen's just canceled my shingles shot for this afternoon. I have to reschedule. Damn them!
-
DR Laura, sad news about Asha. I'm so sorry. I cannot believe her original owner had her for 12 years ans gave her up because of his wife. I'd have kept the cat and lost the wife.
I kinda felt that way, too, Elmore. She's from a culture that doesn't appreciate animals inside the house, so I guess it's a bit of a miracle Asha was there that long. My friend is a good guy, though. He tried hard to keep her. Asha was in very good hands. Sandra really spoiled her.
-
DR Laura, very sorry to hear about the end coming so swiftly for Asha. That's almost how it happened with our girl Taffy in 2007. The exam, hopeful antibiotics, blood work, and boom, the end... all so swiftly.
-
He had to move first to for the new job and find housing. He tried to find a way to get her there, but it all fell through. His wife said she wouldn't bring her on the plane.
-
So .... we made appointments to take our healthy kitties to see the vet. They've both been inside and never get sick. But we'll get them looked over and get their teeth checked.
-
Cat teeth seem to start lots of problems, even when they are young.
-
Slippery when wet.
-
I don't eat steak often, but when I do I like it medium-rare with horseradish sauce.

Try another pharmacy for your shingles shot, Chas. If this weekend is what fits your schedule, get it anywhere else.
-
Thanks, everyone, for the condolences. I will tell Sandra about it.
-
The Cat Distribution System will work for her. Summer is coming.
-
We were awakened in the middle of the night by an Emergency Alert. One of the ones that is supposed to be dire emergencies. Like a fast-moving fire or tornado or hurricane.
-
It was a Silver Alert.
They found the person, but did they really need to wake up the entire city?
-
<---- cranky person this morning.
-
It seems to have affected the whole city, even when alerts are turned off on the phone.
-
Did I miss DR George's repor about opening night?
-

Wife was picking up a prescription at the Blaine Rite Aid the other day and they tell her it’s not ready, come back in an hour. Comes back, sorry we can’t fill till we get comfirmation from your insurance which could take days. “I live an hour away, couldn’t you have texted me?”
Guy goes, “We’re bankrupt, so there are some glitches lately. We might not even be open in a couple days.”

I expect Asha was better off in a home where she was completely loved. I feel bad for your friend though. He probably thought his wife would grow to love Asha.

HHW is a time capsule!
-
DR Rodzinski, I am curious why you thought the prescription was ready and waiting for you.
-
I have my prescriptions at our local Rite Aid. I like the pharmacists there so I plan to keep them there for a while, but definitely have been looking at where to move them since I'm sure that store isn't long for this world. I'm wondering if another pharmacy chain will take over that location, but both likely candidates (Walgreen's and CVS) have had their own financial issues, so probably not.
-
From DR George:
And, of course, she had the best song in the TV version of It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman!
Even though I skipped much of it due to lack of time to watch, I enjoyed seeing Loretta Switt. Thank you.
-
Grilled porterhouse steak for me, please, either medium-rare or rare, plain with maybe a little dab of olive oil and garlic. Steak au poivre is excellent too, and fun to make with the flames going off from lighting the whiskey. And either a California Cabernet or a Bordeaux to drink.

DR MichealG, one of our two Rite-Aids closed within the past few weeks, and I believe the other is scheduled to be closing as we speak.
Now I wish I had used the one near me. It was a nicer store than the Walgreen's and CVS I've been patronizing. Too late, though.

I've rescheduled the shingles vax for next Thursday.
They normally take weekend appointments, but their website says no vaccinations today or tomorrow, so maybe they're short-handed. I think I've known that to happen before.
-
RIP Asha.
-
DR Jeanne, I ended up tossing my bottle of Ivizia before I finished it. I liked it at well enough at first, especially if I was wearing make-up, but after awhile the drops didn't feel good. BioTrue are still my current favorite, still I need to alternate them with other drops.

Good luck it stays open.

I always liked the Rite Aid store in Ashland. When I first read they were closing stores I looked to see if it was still open. At the time yes.

I wish I had used the cleaners near us more as she has gone out of business :(

We now get our prescriptions and vaccinations at Fred Meyer. Since they are part of the Kroger chain I think we are ok. I hope so.

From DR Rodzinski:
Had a nice moment today. I profiled Richard Moylan in our latest issue, retiring after 40 years as president of Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.
He wrote me personally today to say how much he loved the article.
That's very nice, especially since he usually find fault with things.
-
From Rodzinski:
Also a Dutch guy I interviewed about his cremation metal recycling company was equally over the moon about my profile.
Again, very nice.
-
I did not know that Warsaw is the prosthetic limb capital of the world ;D
-
Rodzinski, why did they move to Washington instead of Canada?

I can't get over the almost 20,000 GUESTS last night.

Ordered a tai-salad from Art's and hopefully they'll get it right this time - last time they gave me tuna scoop instead of two turkey salad scoops - couldn't be clearer in the instructions - it went right into the trash and I got a full refund. I ordered before I left - Art's is five minutes from here. But using the 50% off code is still cheaper than going there. But it hasn't even left the store yet, twenty-five minutes later. I actually thought it would be here upon my return.
-
But upon my return it was not here.

We are going out to dinner with friends. We would have preferred tomorrow night as it is our anniversary. Since they were free tonight and we haven't gotten together in awhile we will celebrate one night early.
Happy early anniversary celebration!
Thank you.

The little girl next door reminded me twice now that her birthday is coming up in June. We made her birthday cake last year. She wants to make one this year, too.
Does she expect you to take requests?
-
Welcome, 17,463 GUESTS.
Now it's down to 748 Guests!
It still seems a bit high for a Saturday night. :)
-
Sending more Into the Woods vibes for George and company!

We made it together. It was very pink with lots of sprinkles. And she had lots of fun piping buttercream frosting aaaall over it.

That DOES sound like fun!

The frosting is everything, you know.
-
They are saying we are supposed to get rain tomorrow. The remnants of a tropical storm in Mexico.
-
I'll believe it when I see it.
-
Eight!
-
Off work. It was a long day. I’m treating myself to a sandwich for dinner.
-
There’s a party for what looks to be 40 in here.
-
The frosting is everything, you know.
It's the icing on the cake!
-
Or is the frosting the frosting on the cake?
-
I heard the proof is in the pudding.
-
And the cow's in the corn.
-
And the neighbor's in the porn.
-
Watched a lovely movie tonight: My Old Lady (2014) with Kevin Kline and Maggie Smith.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.

Thanks, Freddie!

15 minutes to Places!!
-
Hot in here, must turn on the air.
-
Then it will be chilly in here.
-
They did not get the tri-salad completely right - instead of two scoops of turkey salad and one scoop of egg salad, it was the other way around. Not a disaster.
-
The disaster is the HOUR it took to arrive - they finally gave me a six-dollar credit because of it. It should have been here in ten or fifteen minutes, tops.
-
Over 15,000 GUESTS at the moment.
-
Great news about the opening, George.
-
If every one of those 15,000 GUESTS made one post, can you imagine the page we'd be on?
-
Patti has apologized.
-
Hot in here.
-
The world continues to spin.
-
I may have recently said that.
-
Good night, all.
-
In a post
-
Or two
-
I did finish watching When a Stranger Calls. Great opening, great closing - the middle is a little flabby and even a bit silly.
-
Nine!
-
Enter page nine.
-
Fun to see Colleen Dewhurst and Rachel Roberts.
-
I will admit to having just ordered a small thing of ice cream.
-
The voices in my head made me.
-
Ice cream wasn't as good as usual and there was less of it, which is a good thing.
-
Did a little writing.
-
Not sure what I want to do now.
-
Maybe I'll write some more.
-
Maybe I won't.
-
Maybe I'll do the dance of the seven veils, although I only have five veils here.
-
Perhaps I'll do the Lambada (the forbidden dance).
-
Perhaps I'll sing an aria from La Boheme (The Boheme).
-
So many options.
-
House has cooled down.
-
G’night friends.
-
Oh dear, oh dear - had a telephonic call, so now I must hie myself to a blank page and write some damn notes.
-
I just must.
-
Hopefully, I'll write like the wind.
-
What, did George just go to sleep again? Has he turned into a narcoleptic?
-
Or is he out painting the town and eating decadent food?
-
Perhaps a knish.
-
Or kishka.
-
Certainly, he is not here.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And in the midst of doing so, I got a horrendous allergy attack.
-
Out of nowhere.
-
And also out of nowhere: Enter page ten.
-
Ten is a very nice page.
-
It's attractive in a quiet sort of way.
