Last night, John commented:
Great news about the opening, George
And my reply is: Thanks, John! ;D
-
Last night's show went really well. There were a few actor friends from Olympia who came to see the show, so that was fun. Everyone in the cast has pretty much settled into their roles and are doing well.
-
Last night, I didn't get home until about 11:45. As stage manager at this theeder, I need to be the last person out of the building along with the house manager, so I can't leave until everything is done that needs to be done.
-
After the show, I needed to go to a store to get something that I need for the show, so that took me longer than just going home*. I could've waited until today before I went to the theeder, but I wanted to get it and get it over with.
*SPOILER ALERT: I have a cameo! I'm Snow White during the finale, and the actor who plays Cinderella's father is Sleeping Beauty!
-
We make quite the pair of new princesses for the princes! :))
-
We have our first matinee today! But first, to sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
Sleep is for the sleepy. After ten HOURS, I'm not the least bit sleepy.
-
Therefore, I'm still here.
-
Not there, but here.
-
Glad to hear the show is going well.
-
Been watching crap on YouTube. I'll go to bed around three, I think.
-
That seems like a good bedtime.
-
Thinking about food for tomorrow (today) - I have two more 50% coupons that are only good through Monday. Maybe pastrami sandwich from Daughter's Deli. Maybe. Could be.
-
Many fine choices available.

Been watching crap on YouTube. I'll go to bed around three, I think.
But sometimes, there's entertaining stuff among the crap. Especially after the algorithm figures out what you like and brings you more of the same.
-
I've come to really enjoy this couple, a singer (whom I guess is doing these YouTubes to promote her performing career) and her husband who sounds like Billy Crystal doing his Fernando impression - and YouTube's algorithm knows it and obliges me with more and more of them.
"What do you think I do all day?" "I know what you do all day. You point the camera at yourself and talk". :)

Decided to do a little more writing. Guess I should get to bed now.
-
It's very late.
-
VERY very late.
-
In fact, it's almost morning.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept quite poorly last night, but I felt lousy all day. I'm ready to go back to bed.
-
Dear God, it IS morning!
-
Doesn't Phyllis say that at the end of Follies?
-
Good morning, all.
-
Two!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Was up for about an hour and a half in the middle of the night.
-
Weird dreams of a raccoon invading the home and acting like a human guest. He even sat up at table and ate a plate of food. My sister Annaliese was amused. I was not.
-
Hope you feel better soon, Larry.
-
DR Jrand74, I am now curious about your neighbor or neighbors, and I hope you can post photos, although I do ope they do not have to take out a restraining order.
-
Speaking of neighbors, DR Laura, what wonderful pones you have!
-
Doesn't Phyllis say that at the end of Follies?
No. I think Sally says it.
-
Hope you feel better soon, Larry.
Thanks. I was hoping I had maybe 10 good years left, but I'm starting to wonder.
-
LOL DR ELMORE I shall see what I can do.
-
Today is our Open House at the Theeder to welcome in the season.
I has always been from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. but the president sent out an email yesterday saying that it will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
-
Weird dreams of a raccoon invading the home and acting like a human guest. He even sat up at table and ate a plate of food. My sister Annaliese was amused. I was not.
Was this your home now, or the home where you and your sister lived together years ago?
-
Predicting John G's answer: Yes.
-
Good morning, all.
-
And all of a sudden,
IT'S LESLIE UGGAMS MONTH. Just like that.
How did this happen?
-
It can't be June without Leslie Uggams any more than it can be Christmas without Bette Davis singing Feliz Navidad.
-
Nathan and Kristi are celebrating by going to the Bronx Zoo.
-
Good morning.
-
I have wonderful neighbors.
-
So..... the way our houses are arranged on the street -- I can see the neighbors to the west. Their driveway and mine are parallel. The neighbor on the east -- she has a curved driveway that ends in a garage. Our driveway entrances are as far apart as they can be on our street. So I rarely see that neighbor.
-
I decided to ALWAYS be on good terms with the neighbors to the west, since we can see each other. I am also on good terms with this particular neighbor to the east (that I rarely see), because she has grandsons and I always take her cookies for her grandchildren on holidays.
-
The previous owners to the east -- not so much. It wasn't me, it was them. Assholes.
-
I said it.
-
I am making muffins for the church coffee hour this morning. I am doing an experiment.
-
I like to make different shapes of things. So I make some regular muffins and some in a mini-loaf pan. But I've always made the same shape all the same recipe.
-
It is my opinion that people like rectangular food. But since I make one recipe round and a different recipe loaf, I'm not sure if it's because of the flavors or the shape.
-
So my experiment is half a batch of zucchini blueberry round muffins and half loaves.
-
And half a batch of zucchini peach round and half loaves.
-
And we'll see what disappears fastest.
-
And that's the most complex thing my brain wants to even think about these days.
-
I told that pointless story Vixmom style.
-
Today is Freedom Day, by the way. One of the tradition is to tell pointless stories.
-
I like pointless stories AND muffins.
-
For some reason I feel a bit off.....I really need to show up at the Open House, but maybe I won't stay for the meeting.
-
DR Jrand74, the Bible says something about not coveting your neighbor's wife, but it doesn't say anything about your neighbor's husband.
-
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to DR Jane and DH Keith!!!! Many happy returns!
-
And that's the most complex thing my brain wants to even think about these days.
That sounds pretty complex to me!
-
For some reason I feel a bit off.....I really need to show up at the Open House, but maybe I won't stay for the meeting.
Vibes you feel better soon!
-
DR Jrand74, the Bible says something about not coveting your neighbor's wife, but it doesn't say anything about your neighbor's husband.
But doesn't it say Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's A-S?
-
Happy anniversary to Jane and Keith!
-
Happy Happily Ever After, Jane and Keith!
-
DR Laura, that's not pointless, that's a description of a great science experiment. Please let us know the results!
-
Congratulations on the show going so well, DR George. I'm sure your cameo lifts it to new heights!
-
Last night's Otello was the best ever for the chorus. We have the matinee today and then we're done for the company's 69th season.

Cool spoiler alert, and funny how the size increased to normal once I opened the quote.

I hope this is not the truth vs the fruit throwing people ;D

Sweet.

At least they are previous owners.

I don't blame you.

The chili turned out well, but it made the apartment too warm and steamy. I thought for a while I was dying from a heat stroke. I had to throw out two good cans of Goya black beans and kidney beans. The fup-top lids refused to open, broke off, and I could not open the lids. At that point I thought I was dying, so I just tossed them out.

It somehow reminds me of the Singin' in the Rain poster where the stars are all walking towards the camera. :)

Tonight is the start of the two-day Jewish holiday Shavuos.
A segment of theater fans may know the holiday from this exchange in "Boys In the Band"
(after the grueling party)
Michael: Let's do this again real soon.
Harold: Yeah, how about a year from Shavuos?
-
Therefore, I'm still here.
Not there, but here.
Near may be better than far but it still isn't here (an Into the Woods reference ;) ).
-
Gratuitous Post #101!!

Glad to hear the show is going well.
Thanks, BK!

Great shows in the HHW universe, MichaelG, and GeorgeD

I was highly amused by BK’s final comment last night that 10 is attractive in a quiet sort of way.

Let me go find and assess Patti’s apology …

Mrs Rodz is out of town till Thursday, so we’ll see what mischief the children and I can get up to.
Is your insurance up to date?
-
Let me go find and assess Patti’s apology …
Please. I'm not entirely sure I buy it.
-
I give it an 8.5 on the Apologometer. Fairly contrite. Still dripping with ego, but still seems to take responsibility.
-
Whether I buy it or not? I mean I think she was being honest and candid and really believes the things she originally said. So an apology is, in a way, not of huge value. “I’m sorry you heard my real thoughts” kind of thing. But at least she didn’t blame the media or make a dumb excuse or whatever.
-

I probably should check!

I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.

New rules - no more four or five in the morning.

Discipline, bedtime-wise.

Two at the latest and earlier if possible.
-
Must stick to that.

I ordered food before going to bed - should be here by two-thirty. Window was two to two-thirty.

As soon as I finish food, back to writing.

I'll call Muse Margaret and let her know pages are coming tomorrow.

In case anyone was wondering.

Not until the donuts were gone. Most of it went into the freezer.

The other 12,000+ are elsewhere.

As are the dear readers.

Out feasting on roast squab, no doubt.
-
I, for one, have never had squab.
-
I've had squabbles, but not squab.
-
I have no intention of ever having squab.
-
I am anti-squab.
-
Damn donut interlopers!
They're the worst!
-
I don't think I have ever had squab.
-
At least, not intentionally.

Lovely Snow White!

JRand how about those Indiana Pacers!

I am listening to the LP Heart Food by tragic folkie Judee Sill, the first artist to release music on David Geffen’s Asylum label.

Happy anniversary Jane and Keith!

Our run of Otello is over. Today was the largest house, nearly sold out. No keyboard problems resurfaced after the opening night a cappella impromptu.
-
Now we're off for the summer, until rehearsals start in August for Samson et Dalila by Saint-Saëns.
-
Well, our first matinee went pretty well.
Very good news!

That great, Michael!
-
What do you think of Samson et Delilah, Michael G?
-
Good night, all.
-
Dozed off. Wrote a page. Relaxed.
-
No movie tonight.
-
Having some potato chips right now as a snack.
-
And why shouldn't I?
-
It's the bottom of a bag, so teeny-tiny pieces.
-
Sour cream and onion.
-
That's the only kind I eat these days.
-
Those days I eat other kinds.
-
Them days is probably Dorito's Cool Ranch.
-
Sour cream and onion.
That's my friend Shelly's favorite kind.
-
Since I only had the sandwich, really - no fries or anything else - I just ordered a Caesar salad - I'm hungry and that will do the trick, methinks.
-
From the Cheesecake Factory - had one from there the other day and it was really tasty.
-
And one can always use some greens.
-
Greens are healthy.
-
Welcome, 19,072 GUESTS.

I kid you not.

Hmmm I am not happy about some of these symptoms - I really shouldn't go on the internet for self diagnosis.
I am going to try to get in to see my doctor tomorrow or Tuesday.
Good vibes are requested.
-
Caesar has arrived - not Caesar's ghost, mind you.
-
And so, I shall eat.
-
What do you think of Samson et Delilah, Michael G?
I've only seen it once a long time ago and I enjoyed it. It has a big chorus part so that's good for singing it! Tosca's chorus part is tiny, but it's Tosca, probably the most famous opera with a chorus that I haven't sung in yet.
-
Yes DR RODZINSKI - Carol & Jerrell went with Daryl & Bridget to the game last Friday night I think = when the Pacers won Eastern Conference.
She said it was very exciting!
-
New notes up shortly.
-
Yes, they will be.
-
Never fear.
-
Fear not.
-
Must get to bed before two.
-
Caesar was good.
-
And I've had my damn greens.
-
I'm a little full.
-
Greens do digest pretty quickly, though.
-
Or so I've heard.
-
And one can always use some greens.
Greens, greens, nothing but greens:
Parsley, peppers, cabbages and celery
Asparagus and watercress and
Fiddle ferns and lettuce—
;D
