Well, you've read the notes, the notes most likely had typos, and now it is time for you to post until the too many cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MONETARY!
-
BTW, I heard from dear reader Iris - not doing so well but sends all her love to all you dear readers.

Another three-fer! ;D

So, there was a local jazz pianist named Joe Baque with whom I work in some vocal workshops about 15 years ago or so. He died two and a half years ago (at age 100!) and it turns out that he wrote a show 60 years ago with Ira Gasman!
-
I was just contacted by a theater friend, Jim, who was approached by Carol, Joe's widow, to possibly present this show, and Jim wants to know if it's something that TAO would be interested in.
-
I personally am, but I'm forwarding Jim's e-mail to TAO's president and our artistic director. We'll have to discuss this at a board meeting, but who knows. A 60-year old "new" Ira Gasman musical might happen (shades of Levi)! :D
-
Wrote more pages and got to page ninety-eight, so two more and I dross page 100.
-
I can barely focus.
-
WEll, I'll shower, and try to be in bed by two or two-thirty.
-
Oh, and if anyone is interested in learning a little about Joe Baque, here's his obituary:
https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/theolympian/name/joseph-baque-obituary?id=37050842 (https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/theolympian/name/joseph-baque-obituary?id=37050842)
The video is a really nice slide show but with really generic music. ::)
-
BTW, I heard from dear reader Iris - not doing so well but sends all her love to all you dear readers.
Thanks for letting us know, BK.
Sending more vibes for DR Iris.

Very exciting prospect, George!

Congratulations on your progress, BK!

What an enjoyable Sondheim parody lyric in the notes today, BK!
-
It’s after midnight. I just finished assembling the book. Everything from the dedication to the acknowledgments. 26,000 words.
-
I am exhausted.
-
Good night, all.
-
Vibes for DR IRIS.
-
Very interesting DR GEORGE. I love working on original material unless the writers or musicians are ASSES.
And of course as a writer I hate it that if a work is being done for the first time everyone from the light man to the janitor feels that no opinion should be unexpressed.

A very interesting choice of a four-minute video, and the music chosen, to help introduce him to people who might not know him, and also for people who know him to remember him.
Possible question for Ask BK Day (or for anyone who might have thoughts) -
If you were asked to do a short minutes-long video for your eventual obituary, likely to also be seen by quite a few people who may never have heard of you before -
Would you concentrate on family and friend remembrances, maybe? On work remembrances or accomplishments? Would you simply not care about what will be in your obit because you'll be gone already and it won't matter to you once you're gone?

DR JOHN G those look like White Lotus Shirts.

Congrats to DR MICHAEL G on another fine review!

I got up early to shower and get ready to head for the Cat Scan - I guess I have to find a cat to take.

Hooray! Congratulations, John G!

I am wearing my casual DeadPool wear since I can't wear anything with zippers or wire...my sister will have to hold my billfold, keys, and glasses....and my hat.
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
Do you have a favorite among the triumvirate of Mr. Bob Marcucci's Philadelphia singers?
This is also a question for other Dear Readers of a certain age.

Sending more test vibes!

Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well. I had a long dream in which I was oput of town on a job. When I got back to the city, I went back to the Barnes & Noble store near my apartment to see my friends who worked there. It was a Saturday during the holiday season, the wonderful manager Patty was fraught because the store was packed and several of the first floor employees hadn't shown up. Before U knew it, I was hired back and working the first floor customer service desk with Neil, who left B & N around 2002 to take a full-time job proof-reading for a major law firm.
If I were not on a walker and could stand and move easily, I'd go over and beg them to rehire me. I need a job.
-
I am waiting on an Amazon Fresh delivery. I have no more plans for the day.

Good morning, friends.

Congratulations on finishing your book, DR John G.
For your intro, I was going to suggest:
Hello, Folks. Here's the skinny.

Thanks for sharing the Iris update, BK. ~~~CONTINUED HEALING VIBES~~~ for her!!!
-
Very interesting musical prospects, DR George!

What do you call a group of musical whales?

An orca-stra.

I spent my life savings on pasta.

-
Good morning, all.
-
Well, so far we do indeed have a sunny day. BUT...
We just couldn't get through yesterday without yet another rainstorm coming through in the evening. So everything is STILL soaked.
-
Back to Evita today.
The programmers agreed with my errata and sent over one of the corrections last night. The rest should be here today. I'm so relieved I was right about what was wrong and what the fix oughta be. I never want to be one of those people who complain about things and end up making annoying fools of themselves. I triple-check myself at every step to avoid that.
-
"Errata! Errata! Errata!" could be sung to the tune of "Evita! Evita! Evita!"
-
It certainly could, DR Freddie! :)
-
Test went well....so we await results.

My sister is putting my new lawn lights in my front yard.....the last ones I had lasted about 4 years - so these should be about the same.
Dollar (25) Tree specials.
I was bitten by some small ants.....or would be a sting?

Good morning.

Fingers crossed for good test results, JRand!

Aunt Sassy's cat is at the vet for a dental visit. More expensive than MY cleaning, that's for sure.
-
Still 461 Guests to HHW a little after noon (Eastern time)! Maybe stopping by HHW on their lunch break.
If the thousands of bots from last week are gone now, are these probably real people, then?
-
We have been working all morning and are ready for the carpets to be installed.
-
DR Singdaw it is nice that you have a new outlook on life even without toilet tanks.
-
Be well vibes to DR John.

Your sister has been very helpful lately. You are lucky to have each other.
Ouch on the bites, or stings. I asked the same question when something got me on our walk yesterday.

I don't know about Ira Gasman, but Joe Baque was a sweetheart. If this had happened while he was alive, I have no doubt that he would've been incredibly supportive of the whole process.

The carpet is being installed in our guest room and, except for the drawere, our furniture is back in our bedroom.
-
We took the dresser, end tables, and framed art that was over the dresser in the guest room and put it in our bedroom.
-
Everything looks different :)
-
Our new tv is set up. Hopefully the new sound system is great cuz we can't get my hearing aids to connect to our new sound bar.
-
It has been a long day and there is still much to do.
-
Still, it is a fun day so far.
-
The Beach Boys were my favorite group.
I was never specifically a Beach Boys fan, but we sang a few of their songs when I was in Show Choir in high school, and I sang some in a couple of AIDS benefits in the mid-90s. I always liked the songs of theirs that I heard. And I really liked the movie Love & Mercy about his life and his struggles with mental illness.

Finally have firm dates for the play with music that I'll be directing - We open January 15. It'll be a weird rehearsal schedule because of the holidays so we'll cast in October, rehearse in November until the holiday, rehearse in December until around the 15th and then we'll come back around the third of January, have a few run-throughs and go right into tech.
-
Want to lock in a set designer and lighting designer now.

Richard Allen will be doing the tracks, but we'll also have someone onstage with a piano - he won't actually play, but it's fun to involve him in the play.
