Well, you've read the notes, the notes told you who to put the blame on, and now it is time for you to post until the blamed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day: BENIGNANT!

~~~Vibes for a Modern Major Miracle for BK!!~~~
Well, that took less time than I expected!
So happy there was no car crash and you're OK, BK!
Vibes for a modern major miracle!
When I'm up this early, it's fascinating to see that there's quality TV programming aimed at the early morning audience, at least early morning Eastern time. Some of it at least seems like it's live news coverage, though I guess it could be coming from another time zone where it's either hours earlier or hours later.
-
Like this CNN show specifically says for the person being interviewed, it's 9:48 a.m. Colchester, England time. So I guess it's early for the CNN person in the Atlanta studio, but not all that early for the interviewee.
-
Remember this Schoolhouse Rock segment from 1975?
No More Kings (https://youtu.be/WvOZs3g3qIo)!
Someone I follow on Twitter reposted this! :D
-
Glad there was no crash!
-
Heading for set building/program committee meeting - which is just a formality since the husband of the chairperson said in a committee FB post that the four shows chosen by her husband would be the best season EVER.
An "it's great, if I say so myself" situation?
-
Good morning, all!
-
As a consequence of a lousy night the night before, I slept really well last night. I am also setting the alarm now for half an hour later.
-
DR John G, after I moved to New York in June 1979, there was a big Mapp and Lucia interest, and all the books were back in print, and everyone was reading them. Then, in the mid-1980s there was the fantastic BBC series with Prunella Scales and Geraldine McEwen, which I believe was on Masterpiece Theatre. I didn't haqve a TV then. I had a complete novels anthology Make Way for Lucia and read them all. They have a similar tone to Wodehouse because they're written in the same time of the 1920s and 30s. E F Benson, the author, seems more interested in the various English village "types," from the vain pretentious socialites like Mapp and Lucia to the butch military men, the repressed gay menb the tweedy butch lesbian. Neither Mapp nor Lucia is particularly sympathetic since the two independently wealthy ladies have an intense dislike and rivalry over which is more educated, cultivated, and best suited to be the village's social leader.
The first BBC miniseries with Scales and McEwen is superb. There has been a second attempt, but I've not heard good thingsa about it. I may see if it's on Amazon Prime.
-
And that post did my right hand in for a while.
-
Good morning, all.
-
It's a blah morning here. No rain, at least, but ... just kind of blah.
-
Happy Father's Day!
-
Happy Father's Day!
Ditto to that!
-
Hmmmm my iPhone 7 will not charge....I guess I shall have to investigate what the inner web says.
-
Internet has been down for five hours. Affecting thousands and they have no idea when it will be back
-
And the internet solved my problem.
-
I blame DR JOSE for the internet outage.
-
Ah, I always forget about the "hotspot" - I'm now linked to my phone.so I may be able to work that way.
-
But this site is wonky so maybe it's affecting our host, too.
-
I shall be on my way to set building in a bit - and the meeting....uh.....mandate.....
-
Did the writing I would have done had the Internet not gone down. Wrote three pages. Going back to bed now.
-
Thinking of Father's Day, offering a song "I Never Said I Knew Best" about the "Father Knows Best" ethos, which the (fictional) parents in the musical drama FAMILY MUSIC (which I co-wrote with Marian Weiner) have become well aware they are not able to live up to. [We performed this musical in the show's location on Long Island in 2017; still hoping you'll hear of this musical someday!]
This song is the first two minutes of this YouTube.
We are waiting for Bryan and family to arrive with brunch :)
We have nothing much to eat here as we are leaving for Ashland tomorrow morning.
Terrific photo!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I hate those scary drivers that come out of nowhere since they are going way too fast.
-
I'm glad there wasn't a crash!
-
From DR Singdaw:
Nothing like a DR quoting your post to discover your typo. :P
;D
-
Thanks, Elmore. The novel of his I picked up yesterday is called Paying Guests.
-
The trip is winding down.
-
From DR MichaelG:
The lawyer for my old startup company is in the "G" of that photo!
Cool.
-
I'm sorry to know that Father Goose is dated though not really all that surprised.
-
Kids are here :)
-
Up again. Internet is still out, so still no the hotspot, which uses cell time - don't know how much I have on my plan but I'm calling tomorrow and getting a credit if I go over. This kind of outage is outrageous.
-
"An Outage Outrage" could be the title of something.
-
Now predicting two o'clock. The gal I talked to early this morning told me what it was - they don't tell anyone anything, but she did her job. A fiber cut in the line. I asked her how that happens and she said usually a car accident or lines going down.
~~~Vibes That Your Internet Is Fixed Sooner!!~~~
-
So, you all CAN post photos?
-
Yes, as of this morning. Funny, that.
-
Food ordered.
-
Just contacted the host because the site is wonky - this has been going on FAR too long and he hasn't responded to my last two texts of last Tuesday and Wednesday.
-
Two o'clock isn't looking very likely to me.
-
DR FREDDIE that is a nice song....
-
DR singdaw you are the tallest in the photo.
-
Set is being constructed. They did not need another voice.

Internet vibes for HHW.

Here she is with my husband and I at the opening of the Ordway Concert Hall in 2015.
Awesome photo! I was lucky enough to sing with her twice when I was in the SFS Chorus. Usually the chorus is in the first tier with the soloists on stage. But for one semi-staged production they had the soloists up with us and she was about 10 feet in front of me.
-
Oh, Internet! Please behave.
-
I had a lovely morning with the kids and wife celebrating me. They got me a Funko Pop customized to look just like me.
-
Still down - fifteen HOURS. Two people on Reddit said Sherman Oaks was back up four hours ago - one of them said they restarted their router and it came back up. I do not believe this crap.
-
Set is being constructed. They did not need another voice.
I hope you like it.
-
But alas, I must leave this evening for a brutal redeye into Providence, Rhode Island for annual staff meetings.
-
Internet vibes for HHW.
Ditto!

Sherman Hoax.

Sunday evening greetings!
Remember me?
-
But alas, I must leave this evening for a brutal redeye into Providence, Rhode Island for annual staff meetings.
Groan, but at least you had a special day.
-
DR Rodzinski are you flying out of Vancouver?
-
Just talked to Spectrum - no firm time. They will give me a credit when it's restored. As to the two Reddit people, I simply don't believe them. All the Spectrum stuff says it's out here and has NOT come back up. He was willing to have me restart the modem and router but I'm pretty sure it won't help.
-
So irritating.
-
Meanwhile. I've written eleven pages, so may do a couple more later but for now I'm not sure WHAT to do because I can't use the TV until the Internet's back up.
-
I suppose I could watch a Blu-ray.
-
Or I can watch something on YouTube on the computer.
-
We went to Illinois on June 1 to meet our new grandson and to help look after his big sisters. That mostly entailed transporting Hannah to daycare in the morning and picking up both girls in the afternoon. We were there a little over a week and had an early mini birthday celebration for the girls on our last day with them.
We got home this past Monday evening and have spent the week recovering.
-
I would need a week after that to recover ;D
-
Keith also got Wordle in three.
-

That sounds so sweet!

SAFE AND EASY TRAVEL VIBES FOR DR RODZINSKI!
-
what I saw looked good DR JANE.
-
DR GINNY that sounds like a lot of fun.
-
Glad you had some family time, DR Ginny. I'd be exhausted, too.
-
~~~SAFE & EASY TRAVEL VIBES~~~ for DR Rodzinski!!!
-
We have been advised there will be extra security at state office buildings tomorrow. It doesn't affect me personally, working from home.
-
Watched Burt Bacharach: A Life in Song, a one-hour concert on PBS. Taped in 2015. It was meh.
-
The documentary by a French director (from France) on the life and career of Julie Andrews (also on PBS) was more entertaining.
-
CNN says the Internet outage with Spectrum in the LA area was caused by a criminal act of vandalism.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Still down. I wonder if they have one guy trying to fix this. Seriously, eighteen HOURS, about now.
-
Thank goodness for the hotspot or I would have gone berserk many hours ago.
-
Watching a movie on Blu-ray.
-
What is this page four malarkey.
-
You'd think it was Father's Day or something.
-
Still can’t post photos
-
But I can turn pages.
-
Five!
-
What is going on here???
-
What is going on HERE? - Still down.
-
They're gonna have a lot of angry people. And the fact that they don't put anything on the site other than it's down is reprehensible.
-
I better get a sweet or something.
-
Had mac and cheese and a small Caesar earlier.
-
No one has pie anymore. What is this world coming to.
-
Uh oh - UH OH - DoorDash now has House of Pies and I just ordered two slices - one for now one for tomorrow. And tomorrow's meal is coming directly from House of Pies - best news!
-
What the HELL is this? Page five?
-
PAGE FIVE???
-
Someone explain this to me.
-
Ridic.
-
Well, I'm writing notes and we better have some damn postings when I return. I have NOT enjoyed this day although I did get a good deal of writing done about fourteen pages.
-
134 posts my ASS.
-
Okay, not a single damn post other than mine own since eight-thirty. Well, I'm afraid that is not very sporting.
-
I'm afraid that is wrong.
-
Just where WAS everyone exactly?
-
Certainly not here.
-
Well, no new topic until someone shows up.
-
I'll just eat my custard pie.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
Been a very good day.
-
Swimming in the morning.
-
Finished Marcel Pagnol's The Time of Love.
-
Had lunch at Mama's Fish House. Had the opakapaka with bok choy and the tiniest avocado you've ever seen.
-
Well, except I can't post photos so you can't see it.
-
After a short nap, Carol and I headed to the Maui Chocolate Factory.
-
A jazz group played. Very nice.
-
Six!
-
Favorite piece they played was Jobim's Triste.
-
While there, I got emails from editor and publisher that they really liked the manuscript. That was nice.
-
Perfect sunset tonight. Really super gorgeous with excellent colors that kept intensifying as the sun when down.
-
Then I made panna cottage when I got back.
-
Now watching Next to Normal.
-
I have never seen this. I'm really liking it.
-
I've run out of posts. I guess.
-
But we are on another page.
-
Only 20 or so posts to another page
-
Maybe if posts were in mauve.
-
Or taupe.
-
Or oyster teal.
-
What color would you like posts to be in?
-
Tangerine?
-
Ochre?
-
The colors of Joseph's amazing Technicolor dream coat?
-
Dunmore green?
-
Howard Johnson orange?
-
Let's color the whole thing off.
-
But we can get to Rupert.
-
Slow posting
-
Seems to come and go.
-
Where's everyone?
-
You're not on Maui.
-
You're probably not on Mars either.
-
Probably.
-
Venus maybe.
-
Saturn?
-
Driving around in a used Saturn?
-
Seven!
-
Howdy, Rupert!
-
Thankfully, John G saved the day. George, on the other hand, saved showing up.
-
Ridic.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
