Well, you've read the notes, the notes had more thrills than the thriller I watched, and now it is time for you to post until the thriller cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SUBLIMITY!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Talk about thrills.
-
Notes eradicated. Sloughed.
-
I certainly never knew the story behind the creature’s howls, BK, but feel like I can hear a bit of you in there. They add an actually terrifying element to the film.
-
DR JRand. Fascinating about Constance. And of course Lloyd was in Ebb Tide as that religious psychopath.
-
~~~Vibes for BK for a Needed Modern Major Miracle!!~~~
-
And, Congrats, John, on your millstone!
Congratulations, John G, on your thrilling new millstone!
-
More vibes for Bk to get a needed modern major miracle!
-
Rodzinski, that was quite interesting about dealing with groceries and the Canadian border.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
DR Rodzinski, when you went to get the new car, did you experience a tall glass tower "vending machine" like you see in the CarMax television ads?
-
CONGRATULATIONS to you, DR John G., on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!!!
-
~~~CONTINUED MULTIPLE MODERN MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for the likes o' BK!!!

~~~RECUPERATION AND HEALING VIBES~~~ for BK and any DR as needs 'em!!!
TOD: Skip has made fried chicken over the years which has been better than any I've had even in restaurants, and lately been making chicken tenders that are also terrific!
-
From restaurants, the Fettuccine Alfredo with Grilled Chicken or the Chicken Parmigiana from Cafe Fiorello near Lincoln Center is excellent and reliable, and not all that costly.
-
On the fast food front, the Original Chicken sandwich from Burger King when served hot (as opposed to the sandwich having sat in their food bin) really seems to hit the spot.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept better last night. I had a dream I wanted to remember, but between getting dressed and feeding the cats I've lost it.
-
The day is wide open. The only thing on my schedule is to call my pharmacy.
-
TOD:
Chicken marbella (with prunes and capers)
Chicken paremsan
-
Good morning, all.
-
Thank you, George, Freddie and Singdaw.
-
TOD:
Roast chicken with a crispy skin
Fried chicken
Chicken salad
Chicken noodle soup
Chicken and dumplings
-
Page turn!
-
Two!
-
Let’s get a little international now.
Chicken piri-piri
Coq au vin
Chicken cacciatore
Chicken with green curry
Chicken pho
Salt and pepper chicken
Kung pso chicken
-
Good morning, all.
The Theeder Repor
Boy, did we luck out with the weather this past week. This coming weekend looks slightly iffy right now, but hopefully that will change for the better.
Last night's ASL-dual-signed performance was wonderful. I briefly spoke with the signers and they seem so appreciative when people who know nothing about it come up and say how thrilling and moving it is to watch them. We have such a healthy theeder community here that it seems to me like there should be more such activity on a regular basis.
-
Since I somehow have still never had Roscoe's chicken and waffles, or anybody's chicken and waffles for that matter, I'm just going to sit here and pout. That'll teach 'em.
-
Well, I have a full day ahead of me, so that's it for now. Later, 'gators.
-
Waiting on a pharmacy delivery after cleaning up more cat vomit. I think this one is Thatch's.
-
DR Rodzinski, when you went to get the new car, did you experience a tall glass tower "vending machine" like you see in the CarMax television ads?
I wondered if that still existed anywhere! But no, not at this location.
-
I’ve said it before, and not just for Fred’s eyes, I’d say this to anyone over the years. Skip’s chicken is the best I ever had. No joke.
That's great! I'll tell Skip when he gets home.
-
Good morning to everyone.
-
TOD
restaurant: chicken Marsala
Home: crockpot chicken cacciatore. The one meal I make very well.
-
Congrats to DR JOHN G on his millstone.
-
MMM vibes for MR BK.
-
TOD:
Fried chicken - maybe I will have some from Skip someday.
Chicken Alfredo
Chicken and noodles
Yes, the BK chicken sandwich is very good
Chicken strips are good and easy to make...in the air fryer.
-
Good morning.
That's Carvana. We have one of those car vending machines in town.
-
TOD: Barbeque chicken pizza from Hungry Howie's.
-
I have a headache which is not helped with Advil and coffee. Maybe that means it will rain this week. Possible rain in the forecast Wednesday and Thursday.
-
TOD:
- Spice-rubbed chicken is my #1 specialty - I'll probably make it again tomorrow. Basically broiled chicken with one of the spice rubs from Chris Schlesinger's License to Grill.
- Poulet Scarpiello from Pierre Franey's 60 Minute Gourmet
- Tandoori chicken
- Chicken cacciatore
- Chicken paprikash
- Zuni's roast chicken with bread salad
-
The construction of the scaffolding in front of the building is working my last nerve and driving the cats up the wall. The noise is horrible, Thatch has been in hiding, probably under the bed, while Annabelle, who usually spends 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. sleeping, is restless and Stella is either watching the construction or playing wth a catnip toy.
Hoping the pain goes away soon! (But I assume you want some rain.)
-
Thank you, George, Freddie and Singdaw.
You're very welcome, John!
Did you dust it for paw prints? (Riff on a theme from This Is Spinal Tap).
-
Got a Zoom meeting in 10 minutes.
-
I guess people still Zoom.
-
Not being a part of the working force anymore, I have happily settled into Ludite-ism.
-
But I know what a page turn is.
-
Voila!
-
Trois!
-
Thanks. I'm fine. I just hope it means rain is coming.
-
A large clap of thunder just occurred. And it’s getting dark.
-
Thanks. I'm fine. I just hope it means rain is coming.
Just not hill country or Riudoso strength, I hope.
-
And, Congrats, John, on your millstone!
Congrats!
Vibes it rains and sorry about the headache. I use chocolate instead of coffee to help mine. Walking usually helps as well.
-
Zoom meeting is not until Thursday.
-
It's raining lightly now. It's expected to pick up in 90 minutes.
-
So. Time for a nap.
-
Rodzinski, that was quite interesting about dealing with groceries and the Canadian border.
I agree.
-
DR Rodzinski, do you only buy groceries for home in the US, and groceries for the in-laws in Canada?
-
I hope you are very pleased with your new car.
I forgot General Tsao's chicken.......
Yes! I'll have what he's having!
I just had that two weeks ago, from our Ollie's restaurant around the corner!
-
Is that too many exclamation points?
-
Thanks. I'm fine. I just hope it means rain is coming.
Just not hill country or Riudoso strength, I hope.
Indeed.
-
LOL DR FREDDIE.
I buy the frozen kind at WalMart and the sauce is terrific.
But of course it's best at a restaurant.
-
DR Rodzinski, do you only buy groceries for home in the US, and groceries for the in-laws in Canada?
We do both for both.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
I ended up not being able to fall asleep last night, so I proofed until almost four in the morning, then slept until noon.
-
And I've been proofing ever since and just finished. Mostly tiny stuff and much less that Vegas Can Be Murder, but boy did I catch some doozies.
-
When do we get to learn what the new book is?
-
Good evening!
-
Congrats on your milestone, DR JohnG!
Back from pizza with friends.
-
We tried and new white wine called white malbec.
-
It’s affordable and refreshing.
-
I’m really tired.
-
I don’t know if I have a movie in me tonight.
-
Maybe I will watch more of the French Follies.
-
Gratuitous post 99!
-
F. Scott Fitzgerald post 100!
-
Back from pizza with friends.
Were you asking for a friend?
-
I ate out tonight.
-
I ordered Pappardelle alla Zozzona.
-
Pappardelle pasta, Italian sausage, pancetta, onions, garlic, plum tomatoes, fresh basil, parmesan, and pecorino romano.
-
It was muy delicioso.
-
And I could only eat half.
-
So I brought the rest home.
-
To live another day.
-
Certain carnival performers excluded.
:)
-
Fun with sandwiches.
Pancetta Jackson was the heroine of The Ditches of Madison County.
-
I like the fact that they cut the mashup of Broadway Baby, Rain on the Roof and Ah, Paris at the end of the songs.
-
I don’t like the drag queen playing Solange.
-
Fun with sandwiches.
Those looks like so much fun!
-
Good night, friends.
We did get some rain but not the downpour.
-
Page turn!
-
Five!
-
Good night, Singdaw!
-
I love the Stella Deems and her version of Who’s That Mirror was wonderful. The outfit and performance reminded me of Mimi Hines, who would have been great in the role.
