Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fixed, and now it is time for you to post until the fixed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TRIUMPH!

Good morning, all!
-
I slept okay but there were too many bathroom breaks. I need to cut back on the sugar and salt.
-
Last night, around 7:30 or so, there were maybe four terrifying crashes of thunder that sent the cats into hiding for maybe an hour. Between the storm last night and the construction and scaffolding noises outside our window, the cats had a frightening day.
-
Seeing the storm and flooding damage on the news this morning, I hope our DR vixmom, who used to have a flooded basement far too often, is okay.
-
I think my all-time favorite cheesy sci fi film remains Queen of Outer Space.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
I used to be Queen of All She Surveys.
-
In the remote past.
-
Interesting thoughts on the French Follies (from France), DR John G. Thank you.
-
Sorry for all the noise disruption for your kitties, DR elmore3003.

~~~GUNK BEGONE VIBES~~~ for BK!!!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I slept, for the most part, like a rock. I woke once around two in the a.m. to cool the room down a little, but thankfully got right back to sleep. Can't remember any dreams, and I still wish I could recall what the one from the night before or two nights before was. Too bad, won't happen now. Say la vee.
-
OK, so Biden can't eliminate student debt without Congress.
But 47 can dismantle the Dept of Education without Congress.
Got it, Supreme Court.
-
Congrats to MR BK on the MMM.
-
TOD:
Attack of the 50 Foot Woman
Cat Women of the Moon and the remake Missile to the Moon
I'm sure I will think of some others.
Good morning, all.
Scary, isn't it?
-
Congratulations to BK on the Modern Major Miracle!
-
I used to be Queen of All She Surveys.
Or the Master of All Ice Sorbets, maybe?
-
TOD:
The Monster That Challenged the World with Hans Conreid and Tim Holt.
-
TOD
The Blob
Forbidden Planet
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
I would never think of Forbidden Planet or Invasion of the Body Snatchers as cheesy Sci Fi movies in the same class as Cat Women of the Moon or The Gioant Claw.
-
TOD:
The Monster That Challenged the World with Hans Conreid and Tim Holt.
I love that movie!
Doesn't it feel like it could be so easy to get to page 2 before noon (Eastern time)?
Forbidden Planet
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
I would never think of Forbidden Planet or Invasion of the Body Snatchers as cheesy Sci Fi movies in the same class as Cat Women of the Moon or The Gioant Claw.
But they weren’t high budget flicks either. Their status came with time.
I am worried though. I hope they have a latch to keep the door open so it never locks the dog inside.
I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep.
-
Woke up at eight, sneezing. I hope that wasn't indicative of an allergy attack (I took my pill before bed) or anything else. Voice is a bit stronger today but my nose feels weird. Hopefully it will pass shortly.
-
Otherwise, I might have to cut my nose off to spite my face. Or cut my face off to spite my nose.
-
I may try to do a Cedars virtual visit this afternoon and see if I can get a prescription for the Metro Pack - prednisone for six days.
-
That would be the easiest, as I don't really want to travel to Cedars to get it
-
My favorite cheesy sci-fi is The Creeping Terror or as I like to call it, Five Men in a Rug. And of course, lest we forget all of Patrick Bronstein's amazing sci-fi films.
-
I had a strange craving for Astro Burger but the good one in West Hollywood doesn't do any delivery services.
-
Fixes have been sent in.
-
The Giant Claw.
The Monster That Challenged The World also taught me a lot about irrigation..
-
I finished Space Master X-7. Apparently, the script was really good but would have cost too much, so the director rewrote it - it has a good premise and it could have been a little classic if only it had a really good director. Alas. Moe Howard has a few scenes as a cab driver and he's good.
-
Good morning.
-
We are supposed to get rain overnight. I can't wait.
Of the shows you mentioned, The White Lotus is the only one we haven't seen. We stopped watching The Penguin, Severence, and The Last of Us. We initially liked The Studio, we are now losing interest in it.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
No, it was a "wood" or "wolf" spider, one of those kinds you see outside now and then, but though scary looking because of their size, they're not harmful to humans.
Still...
That is an amazing jump between actual and feels like. Our feels like is currently 92. It was higher earlier when I went for a walk.
I have a black widow who lives behind the piano. She leaves carcasses of crickets and flies in return for her free rent. She's very shy. She hides if I accidentally disturb her web.
Here’s a Follies from San Jose. I don’t know the cast. But the Hattie Walker is great. The Bolero d’Amour stops the show. The recreation of the original, except for the costumes, is excellent.
A Black Widow would make me nervous. I gather Leonard leaves her alone. I believe their reputation is worse than truth.
-
She's in a corner, and she doesn't crawl around.
-
:)
-
The Black Widow spider I found in my childhood bedroom was hiding inside of one of my board games. Once I opened the box it did not stay still. At bedtime I went in to my bedroom to get what clothes I needed, since no way was I sleeping in there, and found it crawling up my bedspread. My parents captured it.
-
I still didn't sleep in there that night. I did return the next day ;D
Earlier this evening we had one of the hardest rains I've ever experienced.
The Mississippi is already pretty high.
Tomorrow is our big phone/software conversion. I am extremely nervous. But there is nothing I can do other than wade through it and help my teammates.
I don't know from tokens, softphones, and VPNs. But I guess I'm gonna learn.
Interesting article in Variety about the New York Times changing the roles of some of its arts critics, Margaret Lyons, Jon Pareles, Jesse Green, and Zach Woolfe.
Pareles is the big surprise for me here. I respect Green more fr his work outside the paper than for his reviews.
Seeing the storm and flooding damage on the news this morning, I hope our DR vixmom, who used to have a flooded basement far too often, is okay.
Thank you for thinking of me, dear Elmore! We actually were spared the worst of the storm here, there was a lot of thunder and lightening and some rain, it nothing like the deluge that engulfed westchester, NJ and the city
-
I'm watching The Friend, in which Naomi Watts inherits a great Dane from Bill Murray. It's very cliched, but the dog is amazing.
Are there protests scheduled for Thursday ?
-
Speaking of moving house the Vixter and Vixhubby closed on their first house today.
-
We are all delighted
-
Yes, 5 to 8 pm Thursday in a park downtown.
-
We’re going to visit and check out the new digs in a couple of weeks
-
I find a spider a day here, on average.
-
I help with dance classes on Thursday, so I can't go to the protest.
-
I realize the protests are scheduled for John Lewis's birthday, but a Thursday evening is a weird time.
-
Let's ditch this page.
-
Two to go.
-
And one.
-
Five!
-
The Friend is a good movie. It needs to lose 10 minutes. But the dog, Naomi Watts and Bill Murray are excellent.
-
Slow posting day.
-
Where is everyone?
-
They’re not here.
-
Maybe they’re watching Spiders!
-
My purple sage is happy
-
I planted it last year. It’s grown a little.
-
I need to sleep.
-
Good night, all.
-
Again with page five?
-
How can it be?
-
And yet it is.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
I suppose I should write some damn notes.
-
Been a weird day - still getting rid of gunk, felt okay, just a bit lethargic, blowing my nose a bit more than before but not much - I suspect allergies is that culprit. Actually, time to take a Claritin-D.
-
Had Pad Thai for food. Half at lunch, half later - it's consistently excellent from a local jernt called Grandma's Thai.
-
I suppose when you have food from there you Thai one on.
-
We don't allow groaning here at haineshisway.com
-
So, where IS everyone at this early hour?
-
I did watch a movie and another episode of Police Story.
-
And we did win some awards today, but I'll save that for the notes.
-
But really, we must get off this damn page.
-
I had just enough voice today for three telephonic conversations - but at least it was a semblance of a voice.
-
A Semblance of a Voice - that's the title of my next novel.
-
A peculiar tale of love and lust in the suburbs of Wyoming.
-
I've never been to Wyoming.
-
Has anyone?
-
What am I doing, a monologue?
-
This damn page is endless.
-
The never-ending page.
-
See?
-
And now, fellow readers - get me off this damn page.
-
Had some chocolate licorice. I do love it.
-
And it clearly loves me.
-
Earlier this evening we had one of the hardest rains I've ever experienced.
Oh, my! Hopefully, your area doesn't flood!
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
Make it so.
-
Be gone, page six.
-
I just got back from a quick trip to Fred Meyer for some eggs and orange juice.
-
But I forgot to get milk. :P
-
I hate it when that happens. ::)
-
Anyway, when I got in my car at 10:25 pm, this was the temperature:
-
All right then.
-
:o
-
Time for notes.
-
I shall return.
-
That warm at this late at night.
-
Make no mistake about it.
-
It'a actually pleasant in the house tonight.
-
Tomorrow is our big phone/software conversion. I am extremely nervous. But there is nothing I can do other than wade through it and help my teammates.
I don't know from tokens, softphones, and VPNs. But I guess I'm gonna learn.
YEARS ago, I had read that on average a person swallows or eats a spider while asleep seven times during a person's lifetime! :o
I've never been to Wyoming.
Has anyone?
I'm.sure that someone has, but I haven't.
And now that we're so close...
-
RUPERT'S DANCE OF THE SEVEN FRIENDS!!
-
The spider-eating thing was exposed as a myth.
-
My mother and grandmother, my four sisters, and I rode to Wyoming from Indiana by station wagon for a vacation one summer.
-
Spent a week in Jackson Hole when it was a quaint little old west town, before all the money arrived.
-
Saw the Bar J Wranglers live chuckwagon show.
-
Rafted upon the Snake River.
-
Got violently ill in our motel room one day. Great memories though.
-
Years later, I drove from San Francisco to Ohio with a college sweetheart and we stayed in a nice old hotel in Cheyenne.
-
States I have not been to:
The Dakotas, Arkansas, Montana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Idaho.
-
Of those States, I've only been to Kansas. The Muse now lives in Montana.
-
New notes are written.
-
They're rather long.
-
Hopefully interesting.
-
Lots of good information.
-
To Ny-Quil or not to Ny-Quil, that is the question.
-
I'll have to see how it is in a few minutes. I will get to bed no later than one-thirty.
-
That's the way I've always heard it should be.
-
Meanwhile, back at the ranch.
-
These states I have been to but not stayed overnight: Colorado, Louisiana, Minnesota*, Missouri, New Mexico.
*Minnesota I’ve only been in the airport.
-
Meanwhile, back at the 1000-Island.
-
Meanwhile, back at the bleu cheese.
-
Meanwhile, back at the roquefort.
-
They just opened a Capitol Grill in Toluca Lake. VERY expensive.
-
I mean, insanely expensive. I ate at one in Washington DC - I had the cold seafood platter and it was great and cost about seventy bucks back then.
-
We completed The Creature tonight. And my kids enjoyed it and heaped praise on the writer. My daughter felt John the Trainee and Officer McHugh were in love all along.
-
It may be more now.
-
Great platter if you're on a diet.
-
How fun. Someday I should like to meet the family.
-
The spider-eating thing was exposed as a myth.
Halle-freakin'-looya!! ;D
-
Get me off this damn page already.
-
Endless.
-
See?
-
Woo and hoo - page eight.
-
Isn't that nice for a change.
-
It really is.
-
I like it.
-
They felt a little sad for the creature. That moment right before he is sucked out the airlock, there is a real sadness I myself have noted in his eye.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
