Well, you've read the notes, the notes were super and duper, and now it is time for you to post until the super-duper cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EMBLAZON!
-
Good morning.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Hello. DR Laura! I hope the rains come.
-
I slept very well. Annabelle has returned to her mountain chalet. It was just Thatch and me last night.
-
Welcome back, Dakota Celt! It's been a long time since you were here, and it's nice to see you again.
-
UPS delivered a package yesterday, so I must bring it up after my trip to the basement. My student has sent me a score to look over before tomorrow's session, so I must print that out and look it over.
-
I may have a discussion with Doug Fullington today; we need to register the ballet STAR ON THE RISE with ASCAP. I've asked Doug to co-compose this ballet with me, so we need to decide what sections each of us will write.
-
BK, I hope you will post photos of the new stools.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Long day ahead.
-
I'm bleary-eyed from a rocky night of sleep.
-
Long day ahead here, too. A couple of them ahead of me, actually.
-
I just read a few things about The Conqueror.
Oh, my.
My oh my oh my.
-
Not to mention, why oh why oh why oh.
-
BK, please be careful when moving heavy boxes and packages around by yourself.
None of us are as young as we used to be. (I guess that's irrefutable.)
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Nothing personally noteworthy happened overnight.
-
Basketball boy seems to have disappeared from the neighborhood of late.
-
I am not complaining.
-
To paraphrase Maltby and Shire.
-
Not to mention, why oh why oh why oh.
Or maybe, My-oh-me-oh! (a Peter Allen reference)

Larry, now that all the formats are available, will your publisher get Annabelle and Thatch mentioned on castrecl?
It feels like a uniquely targeted audience of people so many of whom admire your work and wish you well,
and also a lot of list members there who never post but are clearly reading.

How bad is the air there, DakotaCelt? A friend of mine in upstate New York is having some breathing problems.

Time to move. But first …
-
Page turn!
-
Two!
-
HAA!
I have been to the getting place and everything has been gotten.
Welcome back to DR DAKOTACELT.
-
The Conqueror is now ONDemand on TCM so I will watch it today....since I only saw the ending yesterday. I could not find my DVD.
-
Did I dream that MR BK said that this book he is proofing is by Cindy Carol?
Did I dream that?
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
Do you have a favorite score by Mr. Maurice Jarre'?
-
Are we talking about those weekly pill box thingies where you put your daily pills in their own day-labeled compartments? I haven't used one myself because my pill-poppin' is done once a day, but I will, if and when it gets more complicated than that. For a routine like BK's, that would seem to be ideal -- just those three pills in each day's compartment would tell you all you need to know.

That's what I thought. I've got one that's weekly with the times of day as well. This is similar to the one I use. It takes me about 30-45 minutes a week to fill it for the next week from my supply of meds.

Yes I use a weekly pill box with seven compartments and the days of the week printed on it.
Did I take my pills? Yup or Nope! Easy to see.
I also do it the same time everyday, right after I feed the pair of keets.

How bad is the air there, DakotaCelt? A friend of mine in upstate New York is having some breathing problems.
There are days that is has been pretty miserable with the smoke coming out of Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. There were several days that we we AQI ratings between 170 and 325. There have been very few days crystal clear blue skies. July was rough. the smoke also tempers the temperature.
Canada has had several years of drought and the woodlands are tinder dry. Some of the fires are in extremely remote areas and that makes it difficult to get equipment and men to those locations. Some fires were started by lightning strikes and others by careless humans.
-
Sounds horrible. I wish you winds from another direction. And godspeed to the firefighters.
-
Hello. DR Laura! I hope the rains come.
It's down to a 17% chance of rain tomorrow now.
-
BK, please be careful when moving heavy boxes and packages around by yourself.
None of us are as young as we used to be. (I guess that's irrefutable.)
Truth.

I did not think you were ;D

Hi. I hope they get those horrible fires out soon.
-
How bad is the air there, DakotaCelt? A friend of mine in upstate New York is having some breathing problems.
It is amazing how far the smoke travels.
-
If there's three pills per day, I'd get three of those things and line them up.
Or if it's all the same pill, put three pills each morning into a little bowl on the counter.
-
CVS gave those things out with flu shots once. So I have three of them. I count out three weeks' worth of pills all at once.
-
Basketball boy seems to have disappeared from the neighborhood of late.
Great news!

I am waiting for the termite guy to show up. He's an hour late.

Sending you vibes of all kinds.
It's so nice that you checked in here.

Jane, at first I thought it was a helicopter about to land in the yard.
I never complain, though. These are the neighbors who would help me with anything if I needed help.

That is a long time without calling you.

That's funny. It must be very loud. At least they are good neighbors.

Smoke survival vibes for DR DAKOTA CELT.

I did find some nice brain/memory pills this morning at WalMart....well....they're gummies which are not my favorite.
But two bottles of them came within 19 cents of what was left on my HUMANA OTC allowance, so they are now at my house.
Called ONNIT.
Hmmmm online reviews are not complimentary.......oh well.....

He was stuck in traffic. He did call. He's working now.

Traffic in this city is crazy. And this city area is so huge.

I'll note the Kennedy Center announcements with my usual reaction to confusion - a parody. In this case, here's a parody of the song most identified with Gloria Gaynor, which many of us fans took on as a gay anthem. I assume Gloria Gaynor felt she couldn't say no, or didn't want to say no.

My question for ASK BK DAY:
Do you have a favorite score by Mr. Maurice Jarre'?
I wonder if he is related to the electonica composer, Jean-Michel jarre?

It was not a common word. I doubt many will know it.

The movie reviews for THE CONQUEROR quoted on Wikipedia include one whose writer said that he had never before seen in the HISTORY of movies more horses falling down....and watching it now....he was right.

DR DAKOTA CELT they are indeed father and son.

Everybody must be watching THE CONQUEROR.

Must dress and do banking, go to the mail place, and get food.

A couple of days ago, I was at my mom's house for a little bit, helping clear out her garage and we rediscovered a couple of trunks that my sister and I had when we were kids:
-
Mine's the blue one. ;D
-
Good afternoon!
-
Then yesterday, she had a handyman come and really clean things out, and I brought my sister's trunk to her house and mine to my house.
-
I have yet to go through the trunk, but I also found a box with some old (early '70s) children's encyclopedias, and some published scripts that I bought. I haven't gone through that box, either...yet.
-
Hello, Kevin!
-
Then in the evening, we had rehearsal for The HEAD!!! That Wouldn't DIE!:
-
One last rehearsal tonight (and we pick up the rental truck and pack it up with all the set pieces) then tomorrow, we haul everything to Seattle for our one and only performance during WorldCon, the repack everything and bring it back home!
-
It's gonna be a day!! :o
-
Hi, George!
-
From last night:
Welcome back, DakotaCelt! Sorry I missed you!
-
Congrats, BK, on your new barstools!
-
BK, hope the frustrating e-mail about you and David Wechter is resolved to your satisfaction!

Sending break a leg vibes for your HEAD.

Back from banking and mail place.
-
I've never been asked to post photos of my new stools but I'm happy to :)
-
Ordered Panda Express.
-
I'm really hungry.
-
Don't think I'll finish the manuscript today - need a break. I'll do twenty or thirty pages, then that's it.

I've never been asked to post photos of my new stools but I'm happy to :)
Even just a sample would be OK.

Good afternoon.

Wordle: 3/6
Great!
-
Starting The Phoenician Scheme. Very Wes Anderson. For all that entails.
-
Gratuitous post 102!
-
Did twenty-five manuscript pages, so only eighty pages to go. Her hubby, who told me he was doing lots of corrections, didn't find most of them because they're impossible to see in the inane font they used - in Courier New they're as plain as day.
-
Food was good.
-
On my second day of Flonase with no allergy issues. Perhaps this is the wave of the future.

We had a dire tech emergency today at work, requiring many meetings.

I would love to see a good barstool pic.

Hope you are enjoying your trip so far, DR Jane.

I've now written some damn notes.
