Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a buyout, and now it is time for you to post until the bought out cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SYNERGY!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.

-
Fascinating story in the notes, BK, about the "Boy's Life" residual trick.
-
Or was it just a lie?
-
TOD: I like cold shrimp quite a bit. I'm not sure I've ever had lobster cold, but I'm sure I'd like it.
A nice tuna fish sandwich can be quite good served cold.
-
Good morning, all!

I slept well. I had a long dream that I was running around midtown with three fifty dollar bills and a couple of singles in my wallet, looking for a copy of the newly-published Love Life vocal score. Every place I went was sold out. I finally got to a rather seedy shop that was mostly a porn shop, and the clerk kept trying to sell me a copy of the vocal selections. A Broadway conductor I'm not particularly fond of came in ad purchased a large pack of blank orchestra score paper. I was curious, and, along with several annoyed looks, told me it was a gift for a friend.
-
After the alarm turned it off, lay down with Thatch, and had a short dream that I was working with Ingmar Bergman on a film of The Merry Widow with Barbra Streisand. I think the English lyrics were being written by Alan Jay Lerner.
-
Yesterday Amazon delivered copies of the hardcover Annabelle & Thatch. The carton was heavy and rather beat up, but the books were fine. The young lady who delivered them was very kind and set the carton, along with a 24-pack of bottled water sitting outside my door, inside the apartment foyer.
I must put all that away this morning after kitty cleanup.
-
Good morning, friends.

I searched around, and apparently there is a PC equivalent to Apple's "Touch ID." It is called "Windows Hello."
I assume to use it, you need to have some sort of physical fingerprint scanner.
-
I didn't know about BK's involvement in E.T.
-
I have never seen E.T.
-
I know, I'm a heathen.

"Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are God. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are God."

Good morning, all.

My new dishwasher came with an elaborate pre-rinse cycle.

“ The true man is revealed in difficult times. So when trouble comes, think of yourself as a wrestler whom God, like a trainer, has paired with a tough young buck. For what purpose? To turn you into Olympic-class material. But this is going to take some sweat to accomplish. From my perspective, no one’s difficulties ever gave him a better test than yours, if you are prepared to make use of them the way a wrestler makes use of an opponent in peak condition.”
— Epictetus
-
Just finished reading the Discourses for the first time since undergrad days. Love the new translation Penguin has.
-
And I love Epictetus with cold fish dishes of all sorts: anchovies wrapped around radishes, lox and cold smoked salmon, lobster salad and sardines right out of the can.
-
My new dishwasher came with an elaborate pre-rinse cycle.

Let me count the ways.

Nah, maybe not.

DR Elmore, those were an incredible couple of dreams! So very specific!
I have those, too, but not nearly as often as the run of the mill strange ones.
-
I bought a new fan for the bedroom because it is high velocity.....I should have known when on the outside of the box was written "easy to assemble."
My brother is coming down later to help finish putting it together....to coin a phrase.

Vibes that your brother will be able to assemble it pretty easily!

Thank goodness for your brother.

TOD, from the list mentioned I only like lox.
-
The other morning at our hotel I had a nice lox & cream cheese on a bagel.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.
-
And I'm back from mowing the south forty. Or is it the north forty?
It's actually kind of the west forty.
Don't be impressed. I only have one forty. Figuring out what to call it is the issue.
-

On my job applications, it’s the Over 40.
-
Leaving soon for the flood relief benefit.
-
Love Lyle Lovett.
-
No relation to Mrs. Lovett.
-
And no meat pies will be served tonight.

I hope you have a good time and that they raise lots of money.
-
Wow, quiet day.
-
Good afternoon.
-
TOD: Not a great lover of fish. I'll have a tuna salad sandwich once in a while.
-
Growing up in Phoenix, fish was not found often in the stores.
-
I caught a mess of crayfish on Saturday. Disappointing catch. My neighbors across the street enjoyed them.
-
DR CHAS SMITH I also got the east 40 done.
-
DR FREDDIE my brother got the fan together in about 10 minutes.
-
TOD: Not a great lover of fish. I'll have a tuna salad sandwich once in a while.
I like the occassional tuna salad sandwich. I used to make it at home fairly often, now I am more likely to simply order it out.
-

Makes sense.

Thank you.

TOD: I had tuna fish sandwiches for lunch every day as a kid and still like them when done right and good tuna is the star. Overall, chilled local Dungeness crab is hard to beat in season.
-
Today I signed up for next term's film class: "Built to Last: What Great Films Have in Common"
-
High velocity in DR Jrand74's boudoir. And I thought this was a family site.

This is both funny and a very good tip!
-
Cold fish: shrimp cocktail, crab cocktail, lobster cocktail - same fishies in a Louis salad. Cod, the kind my mother used to get for occasional Sunday breakfasts. Haven't had it in years. Tuna. Seafood salad.
-
Page three? Really?
-
I got to page fifty, proofing wise.
-
Couldn't eat anymore lox and bagels so got an enchilada and taco from Don Cuco.
-
Boring day.
-
Apparently so, given page three.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
I'll try to watch a movie this evening.

Interesting Times article discusses the Luigi Mangione musical

"CRITIC’S NOTEBOOK
The Battle to Define Luigi Mangione Takes Center Stage
In 'Luigi: The Musical' and across the internet, artists, journalists and supporters vie to shape the murder suspect’s symbolic reputation: villain, hero, terrorist, martyr, fantasy, enigma."

-
The fundraiser was great.
-
Three hours of music and comedy.
-
Steve Trevino, a very funny guy from the area, was host.
-
My favorite performer was Lyle Lovett.
-
Los Lonely Boys was excellent.
-
Also great were Reckless Kelly, David Ramirez and Dale Watson.
-
They raised more than $400,000, all of which will go to flood relief.
-
Fun evening all around.
-
Gratuitous post 99!
-
Together for Texas post 100!
-
Everything was well paced. It didn’t feel like 3 hours without an intermission.
-
I didn’t know a lot of the music.
-
It’s after 11 pm.
-
Snd it’s still really hot.
-
I’m not going to fix that typo.
-
No, siree.
-
Just makings posts.
-
Makings. Oy.
-
But it’s a post.
-
Not a host.
-
Not the most.
-
Not on the third coast.
-
Not about toast.
-
Where’s the roast?
-
Not that I boast.
-
Enough of that.

Let’s ditch this page.

It’s worn out its welcome.

Page turn!

Five!

Good night, all.
-
Page five???
-
Not very sporting.
-
Ridic.
-
Pathetic comes to mind.
-
I mean, barely on page five with no one here but us chickens.
-
This makes me feel terse.
-
It's like a curse.
-
Or even worse.
-
It certainly isn't cherce.
-
Is this here site ready for a hearse?
-
Or a nurse?
-
Maybe I should post in verse.
-
"Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are God. But, of course! ;D
-
I'm trying to coerce.
-
Today, my friend Shelly, my niece Hilary, and I were at my mom's house painting her garage floor with some cement paint.
-
Hard when the word is disperse.
-
Or submerse.
-
There's young George.
-
Another day without a review?
-
We need to accrue a review.
-
Brew a review.
-
Chew a review.
-
DO a review.
-
A review should be more than a few.
-
Do cows moo a review?
-
Is George ketching up?
-
Fifteen minutes left.
-
But I'm sensing a new page.
-
I can smell it.
-
See?
-
The odor of page six.
-
Last week, she had someone clean out most of the garage, then I pressure washed the floor on Saturday, then yesterday, we patched some holes on the floor, and now that had all dried long enough, today we painted.
-
Here's most of it painted:
-
The Roar of the Greasepaint, the Smell of Page Six.
-
And here's a close-up of the still unpainted section:
-
After everything has dried long enough, we'll move the fridge and freezer, paint under there, let that dry, then put everything back, including all the stuff that used to be in the garage that's now on the back porch (fortunately, it's a covered back porch), then be done with it!
-
Another day without a review?
It's slow going, but it's going.

Cake looks good. Maybe I'll have a nice slice of cake tomorrow as a treat.
