Well, you've read the notes, the notes had both a rise and a shine, and now it is time for you to post until the rising and shining cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BLITHESOME!

John G, your repor on last night's concert for flood relief was very enjoyable.
And terrific that the fundraising was so successful!
-
George, the description and photos in last night's posts of the paint job you all did was quite interesting, especially to this non-painter.
-
TOD: In addition to the ones mentioned, I really enjoy the TV themes for "Room 222" and "The Waltons"
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept very poorly, and Annabelle and Thatch were great companions. I had a lovely period, just after I went to bed, when Thatch climbed onto my chest and settled for maybe 30-45 minutes. I didn't want to move him, although I was uncomfortable, because I was so moved by his affection and trust.
-
After he decided to move ad saleep beside me, I could not settle. At 12:30, I took a tizanidine and slept for a while. My next memory is Thatch wanting to cuddle around 4:00. Then Annabelle decided she wanted to cuddle, too. She moved in, settled next to me, and the alarm rang.
-
This morning I have a basement trip, and a visit from Ann. She and Jen are off on another trip tomorrow, the last one before school starts next week.
-
Yesterday I called Val and MaryAnne and told them to stop by for a copy of the book. Today I will call my goddaughter Charlotte and arrange a visit; I have a book for her. I also need to pack up a copy for Peter Filichia and beg someone to mail it for me.
-
The only Jerry Goldsmith score I know well is Chinatown, which I love.

Good morning, friends.

Larry, since Peter is press, would your publisher take care of mailing a book to him if you asked?

For those that aren't on BookFace, Robert Yacko posted a good one:
-
Tuesday morning greetings! Today we have to deal with my car that wouldn’t start yesterday. Richard thinks it’s the battery.
-
Sorry, DR Ginny. If it is the battery, it will be good to have a fresh new one before the cold sets in.

Vibes that it's an easy fix!

I guess since I posted a press release on Facebook, my new book must be launched.
(I posted the innocuous, controversy-free version of the press release, with - I think - no chances of offending anyone.)

I guess there's never NO chance of offending anyone - but this version of the press release itself has minimal chance of offending anyone -
unless one were to click on some of the parodies linked in the press release.

Tuesday.
LOL DR singdaw - lots of velocity in the bedroom last night. Very nice.
-
I enjoyed reading about the event attended by DR JOHN G last night.
I also enjoyed the story and photos from DR GEORGE of the garage floor painting.
-
Good morning, all.

My weird dream of this morning included Bill Murray waving hi to me in passing because he remembered me from a group of people we both had known some years back, like, in his SNL days.

I didn’t sleep well, but I did dream up a recipe for a savory chips ‘n’ salsa pie. Easy, fun.

While watching Bon Voyage! for the first time since I was ten years old - I now realize that Kevin Corcoran was having an encounter with a bidet when he comes running out of the powder room covered in water.
-
I may watch the 1957 version of A Farewell To Arms today if it's available on TCM ONDemand.
I've never seen it all the way through....so time will tell if I make it this time.

From DR John:
They raised more than $400,000, all of which will go to flood relief.
Fantastic!
-
DR George, the garage floor looks very good.
-
I'm very impressed with the difference between the old and the new floor.

George, thanks for the congrats last night.

Easy fix, and it is good it happened now and not in the winter.
-
I had an early start to the day with a visit to the dermatologist.
-
One biobsy.
-
Multiple precancerous spots sprayed with liquid nitrogen.
-
And a few other spots sprayed just for the heck of it.
-
Interesting is that I booked this appointment, along for one with Keith, a month ago has he had a spot on his face that needed to be checked. I only booked mine for an annoying spot I wanted removed.
-
Keith's spot went away and he cancelled his appointment while all my precancerous, and possibly one cancer, spots all appeared within the last several weeks.
-
One biobsy.

Good test result vibes for DR JANE.

Well I watched A Farewell To Arms.....it was a bit of a slog. Now I remember why I have given up on it so many times: I can't understand a word the Italian actors are saying AND on top of that....Mercedes McCambridge.
But the final scene is a really good one for Rock Hudson. He does a very nice job portraying grief....best I ever saw him do.....in a dramatic scene.
-
Then of course he stands up and moves out of the way so the producer's wife can get her deathbed closeup.
-
Good morning.
-
In Googling while trying to write something, Google's AI showed this, on how parody songs on social issues are taken in by the listener differently from non-parody:
"This can be seen as a way to make current events or societal issues more accessible and engaging by couching them in the comfort of well-loved melodies."
-
I should get up and do things. But I don't wanna.
-
I just had a lovely - but too short - visit with Kim Criswell.
-
Just had good news from my mother. She underwent Mohs surgery this morning to remove skin cancer on her face. You never know how long these things are going to go - they can last all day - but in her case, she was home by lunch time.
-
But I don't wanna.
Me, neither.

So great that the surgery was quick.
Hope it was painless, or as little discomfort as possible.

Back from breakfast and went to Von's instead of Gelson's - where everything was at least two bucks cheaper.

Now on to proofing.

Glad to hear about singdaw's mom.

Our new bathroom sink faucets have dripped since they were installed. All sorts of things have been done to fix the problem, including replacing just the faucets.

They still leak.

Keith ordered new Faucet Aerators which arrived today.

He cancelled his appointment as whatever he had went away :)

Proofed about twenty pages so far. TEDIOUS but necessary. Had two homemade tacos for pill two.
-
Will watch some movie or another.
-
We plan to watch The Ballad of Wallis Island.
-
We watched a few more episodes of THE MADAME BLANC MYSTERIES. We're almost halfway through the fourth season.
-
Vibes for Jane, keith and Singdaw’s mom.
-
Watching a movie I have never seen before: Urban Cowboy.
-
25 minutes in and I want it to be over.
-
I thought the dancing would be better.
-
Vibes for all the biopsies to come out ok!!
-
When I got to my friends’ house tonight, it was in the middle of a huge downpour. They got almost 1 inch of rain in about 20 minutes.
-
When I got home, I saw that it hadn’t rained a drop at my house.
-
Really not liking Urban Cowboy.
-
But the soundtrack is good.
-
So, if the actors would just shut up, things would be better.
-
Any other movies you can think of like that?
-
We’re still on page four?
-
Where is everyone today?

Not posting.

But we can move on.

I found the tale and photos of the garage floor curiously engaging and soothing.
-
I like jobs where you can clearly see your improvement and progress.
-
Possibility of thunderstorms this evening.
I'm glad it's not going to rain around here. I have sanded but unfinished shelves in my back yard, ready for me to stain them to (sort of) match the shelves on my bookshelves.
-
And my mom's vintage (1960s) marble coffee table is outside, waiting for the garage paint to be dry enough to move things back in on Thursday.

So, the tech who treated our house for termites last week tried to cash our check instead of turning it in to the company.

Watching a movie I have never seen before: Urban Cowboy.
I haven't either...nor have I heard the demo recording of the musical adaptation. There wasn't an official cast recording.
-
So we had to put a freeze on our account and will close it and then open a new account. Luckily I got a text from the bank.

Although, I do like the two actors who went on to have pretty good careers...and, of course, Sally Mayes. :)
