Well, you've read the notes, the notes were faster than a speeding bullet and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, and now it is time for you to post until the Super Cows come home.

Topic of the Day: pretty much just the Christopher Reeve movies. I had seen bits of the George Reeves shows, just enough to be aware of them, but not enough to really form an opinion of them. I never watched the Tom Welling TV version, and only saw the first two Henry Cavill movies. I liked them, but didn't love the direction that they decided to go with the storytelling. I haven't seen the newest reboot.

Thanks for the Wordle congrats, Kevin! And Congrats to your Wordle success!

Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well, but not as well as the night before.
-
Amazon Fresh surprised me by arriving around 6:15. Usually, in the 6:00-8:00 delivery slot it's closer to 7:15, so that was a really pleasant surprise. The young man making the delivery was very helpful, but the idiot who packed the delivery ruined a loaf of bread by overpacking the bag.
-
DR John G, yes, I agree with you. Hitchcock would have loved Deneuve.
-
No new Amazon reviews in over two weeks. We seem to be stuck on nine 5-star reviews. I suppose that's better than ninme 1-star reviews.
-
I really liked the first Christopher Reeve Superman movie, although I disliked the "turning back time" plot twist. The cartoon version appeared sporadically on TV during my childhood, so I'm pretty sre I never saw all of them. I do believe I saw every one of the TV series; it was something my brother Macbeth and I never missed.
-
Besides the various Superman versions mentioned, I also watched a good number of episodes of "Lois and Clark" and really enjoyed it whenever I saw it, though it never became must-see TV for me.
-
Good morning.

Even if not on Amazon, I've at least read the user reviews for almost anything on Consumer Reports, for a long time now.
-
Are we to understand that BK has jumped in his listening from G to T? What is this world coming to?
-
I have never consumed anything Superman. Not a show, not a movie, not a cartoon, not a comic book. I don't know why.

I forgot "Lois & Clark"! My friend K Callan played Clark's mother, and I really liked the show. I probaby repressed it since the dumbass playing Clark is an ICE /Tramp supporter.

I read it as soon as it came out; I'm still not certain of I liked it or not.

TOD
I "collected" (not really, but I wish) the Superman (and related) comics in the early 1960s. If only I'd known I should keep doing it, and preserve them all. But I truly loved them. I know we watched the TV show, but it was probably sporadic and I probably only saw a couple of seasons' worth, if that. Might be fun to view them now.
Just recently I watched the first three movies in the Christopher Reeve series, and mostly liked them, especially the first. But yes, the turning-time-back thing, at least this time, didn't work for me. I hadn't seen it in years and had actually forgotten about that.
-

Not even songs from the cast album of the Charles Strouse - Lee Adams musical?
-
I never was a DC Comics fan, so I never read Superman. I really liked Superman 2 and the first few episodes of Lois and Clark as well as the few original animated shorts I saw.
-
Yes, I do like the musical, but I can’t bring myself to watching the TV version on YouTube.

Not even songs from the cast album of the Charles Strouse - Lee Adams musical?
You know, it's in my Apple Music library, but I don't think I've ever listened to it!
-
Got lots to do today, especially getting prepared for tonight's rehearsal. I ended up bagging last night's because by early afternoon the day had already taken so much out of me that I didn't feel I'd be able to handle it competently, which is a first for me. Back at it tonight.
I'm just glad we got everything done yesterday that needed to get done. And I did some cleanup of areas like the laundry room which is where the litterbox(es) (at one point we had two, for three cats) have been located for about 30 years. Last night and this morning were restful but a little weird. With morning came the realization that this is the first day in - not 30, but 35 - years that I woke up to a day with no feedings to be done. It was Thanksgiving weekend in 1990 that I adopted my first two babies, and it's been nonstop since.

:(
-
Also had a wonderful phone conversation with DR Elmore about all of our cats.
For the past five years I'd been committed to this house being the sanctuary for Annabelle, Thatch, and Stella, if and when there should ever be reason for him to find a new home for them. We (my housemates and me) have gradually realized over the past several months or more that we just can longer commit to that because we're just too "done", and I felt worse than anything about breaking that five-year-old promise. Thankfully, DR Elmore completely understands that (not to put words in your mouth, sir!), and there will be another "right" person who can commit to taking all three - because they are never to be separated, even I from afar would never sanction that - and another path will be found.
I tell you, it's been a journey, these past few days, but we'll move on. It was a great conversation, and I needed it. Thanks again, DR Elmore.
-
Lovely. Speaking of Elmore’s cats, my copy of his book arrived, nicely packaged from Barnes & Noble. Well at least Barnes. Not sure what Noble had to do with it.
-
Like John, I was more a Marvel reader. But reruns of George Reeves were a part of Sunday TV in my house. And Superfriends on Saturday was a must. Saw the first 2 Chris Reeves films in the theater with my family. One of the modern ones on a plane…. But it’s not a character a care much about.
-
I was an early adopter of superhero movie fatigue. Somewhere after the first Iron Man, the Spider-Man reboot, and maybe the first Guardians of the Galaxy, I could do no more.
-
Even with reading comics as a kid, at some point I was like, “How often can I care about the whole universe in peril?”
-
I should add that I've had zero interest in any of today's superhero movies, from day one, regardless of their individual subject matter. But that's just me.
In spite of that, I, too, thought I might be willing to see the new Superman film. But ... no.
-
I did enjoy the domestic moments in the new movie with Clark/Superman and Lois, with Clark/Superman cooking "breakfast for dinner" for the two of them, and Lois arguing that she likes breakfast, but for breakfast.
-
I have not seen a Superman movie since the second Christopher Reeve edition.....
I do enjoy the tv series and still watch it on Saturday and Sunday on Heroes and Icons TV.....4 episodes on each of those days.
The Fleischer cartoons are a problem for me because Bud Collyer's voice is so familiar to me from To Tell The Truth and Beat The Clock.
-
Movies I still watch from both universes are Iron Man and Captain America - but only on television.
I did see Deadpool & Wolverine last year and it made me laugh.
-
I was almost alone in the theeder.
-
Thanks to DR JANE & DR LAURA for the updates on our former DR.
-
I kept pressing refresh when I got to the notes because I thought it was Wednesday, Sept. 24.....
IT IS NOT!
-
A/T arrived at my house yesterday so I shall begin its reading in a bit.
-
Not even songs from the cast album of the Charles Strouse - Lee Adams musical?
You know, it
It's a good score but it doesn't always walk the line between camp and honesty as skilfully as Lois Lane's lament "Oh, how I wish I weren't in love with Superman."
-
If you just take Tylenol PM, your kids will only be autistic at night.
-
Good news DR singdaw.
-
Does that mean kids will get vaccinated now?
-
Leonard will be my last kitten. He is 7 now, so if he lives a good long life, I'll be too old to outlive a kitten. If I outlive him, I'd get an older cat.
-
I hope my DH feeds Leonard if I get taken in The Rapture this week.
-
I saw the Christopher Reeve Superman. We had it on VHS when the kids were little, so I'm sure it played hundreds of times.
-
My DH loved the television Superman. I never saw it.

I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep. Got up at eight and began listing. So far, fifty-four titles. Including one DVD and one Blu-ray.
-
I've had no great conversations today.

-
I didn't jump from G to T - all titles are by the first name of the composer, not the last - I went back to the A's. Don't know why.
-
I have two Amazon food deliveries today.
-
Don't remember when.
-
Thinking about Wacky Noodles after my eleven o'clock phone thing.
-
Amazon has been TERRIBLY slow. I know KevinH posted his review two days ago - it shows as a star rating only - that's happened a bunch of times, but the review itself hasn't shown, which is ridiculous.
-
Lots more Bagleys to list and a few more soundtracks. Haven't gotten to the OOP stuff yet, but I do love to undercut the price gougers. You can't do that on Amazon - they'll deactivate the listing and side with the gouger. It's happened over and over again. I did get an email that their senior team is going over my final appeal and that they understand clearly that if they don't activate immediately that we're nuking the account entirely, which is what I'm actually hoping will happen. Sick of them.
-
EBAY is a fine marketplace....although I sometimes go to Amazon read reviews and details most often I make my purchases at EEE-BAY.
-
Had the telephonic call, which had to do with hearing the mix of the Sherman Brothers song - he'll now adjust the one nitpick and the sound of the strings. John, my usual engineer thought it sounded great but agreed about the strings and offered his solution - which sounds exactly right. So, I'll hear the redo later tonight, along with another test we'll do. Then I think we'll mix the other vocals we know we can save and where I think the performance is useable. All those would be bonus tracks and we'd record all new vocals on all the tracks for the main album. I will need a few names, but I have leads here and people who now live here or can get here easily.
-
After food, I'll list more things, but I did one listing last night that sold three copies to one person. Good!

At 0:23, that person is calling Aaron Tveit the "Daddy of Broadway."
Is that how he's being marketed?
-
Does "Daddy" mean something different these days?
-
I guess I could google that question
-
but it adds more posts to the posting totals to ask.

I completely understand. We too cannot take the heartbreak anymore. We have had pets together, though they lived with me at first, since we were 18. There was a slight break before we got Sherlock and broke the never again promise. Not subtracting the short break that was about 47 years.

One interesting thing that's happened with the move to eBay - because I blatantly state that we're Kritzerland selling, a couple of people have used their noggin' and come to the site to order and save a couple of bucks that we tack on to help cover the fees.
