Well, you've read the notes, the notes paid a visit, and now it is time for you to post until the visiting cows come home.

And the word of the day is: FLUENT!

From last night:
Jane, my niece's new cat is a young male cat, not really a kitten, but definitely not yet an adult. And even though my sister and her daughter live together and all the cats are technically my niece's, some of the cats favor my sister and some favor my niece.
-
And:
Congrats to Keith for his Wordle in two!
Thanks, Jane and Kevin for my Wordle congrats!
And Congrats, Kevin for your Wordle in three!
BK, that's too bad about the powered hub not working.

In the morning, Shelly and I are going to my sister's to help declutter her garage (a bit ::) ) for her birthday, which is tomorrow, but we also need to go to Home Depot so that I can buy a couple of toilets...mine were originally installed 19 years ago and both need to be replaced! I wasn't going to get them quite yet, but I heard on MSNBC (SiriusXM simulcast) last night that there's now (or very soonly going to be) tariffs on toilets and kitchen-type cabinets! WTH?? I don't know if they've started already or not, but I want to, hopefully, not have to deal with/pay that. :P
-
So, after doing a little research, an AI overview said "Tariffs on toilets themselves are not currently in place for the United States, but tariffs on imported bathroom vanities and kitchen cabinets have been announced by President Trump for October 1, 2025." Good for me, for now.
-
I tried logging on earler and could not get onto the site. I also could not get today's notes.
-
I need some vibes today. I must step out for my tests before next week's doctor's appointment and then I must go to a CVS for vaccinations. After being out on Wednesday, I'm a bit terrified. I had several panic attacks during the night. I'm sure all will be fine but I could use a bit of support.

Vibes that your tests and vaccines go smoothly!

Well, glory be! I was finally able to read this morning's notes. What is going on?

And I must get ready to leave.

Good morning, all.

Huge vibes for DR Elmore having a successful journey on today's errands!

BK's CD player issue is certainly confounding.
I feel confounded all the way over here on the right coast.
-
I love meats, more meats, and extra meats. And I love pesto. But as much as I love pesto, it tends to eventually feel heavy and fill me up quickly. It's similar to Alfredo sauce in that respect, which of course really IS heavy.

Here's what occurred to me last night as I was snacking on a trail mix:
I really like dried fruits - by themselves, in a mix, or as part of anything, really, even fruitcake (I love fruitcake)...
But one thing in dried fruits that makes no sense to me is bananas. (And I love bananas.) I have yet to taste anything resembling a banana in any banana chip in any dried fruit mix I've ever had.

TOD
I can hardly believe it's Friday. Nothing for the TOD today, I'm afraid. The only things I've watched this week have been a few movies on TCM to fall asleep to.
Last night was the beautiful restored version of All That Money Can Buy (The Devil and Daniel Webster). I think I made it through the first half hour before conking out. But man, is it beautiful to see and hear now. Such an improvement.
A couple of nights before that, it was The Night of the Iguana which I must have really been up for, having not seen it in a few decades. I was really into it, and trying to remember the differences between that and the play, but that enjoyment was abruptly cut short when my Xfinity connection left the building. That next morning was a nightmare, and I'm still grateful as hell that the system was restored over the phone.
And was it last week they showed The World of Henry Orient? For my taste, they've been on a nice roll lately. Oh -- last night's was in a series they're doing on UCLA film restorations, so I'd better check the schedule, there could be more good stuff coming up.

Bruce, I am currently on 40mg of prednisone every morning. How much are you taking?

DR Elmore in particular wanted to see these:
I just picked up Mikey's paw print from Cat Clinic. Here it is, side by side with Poe's from 2020. The similarities and differences are interesting. Poe's was done right here by the vet who made the house call, and she had us keep it untouched for several days as opposed to baking it. Cat Clinic bakes it and we return to pick it up. And no ribbon hole in theirs. We had Poe's hanging on the wall, but I'm proposing we keep the two of them together in a nice felt lined display box. Much safer, and they'll look good against the felt. (This camera shot doesn't pick up all of the impression. They both look better in person.)
As always, click...

Very cool! Mine is due to arrive on Monday!
I ordered directly from Chandos. I have no idea when mine is arriving.
-
I'm up, I'm up - I have no idea how much sleep other than not enough. Hoping the Darling Daughter and friend get here on time so I can go back to bed.
-
Vibes all around.
-
Hope the nightmares are not too nightmarish, Elmore! I feel unease on your behalf.
-
Unease is simply in the air right now, though I try to ignore it.
-
Boy, is it ever.

I usually have to schedule Access-a-Ride for an hour or 75 minutes before the appointment time since they ask for a possible 30-minute delay. So, here was my schedule:
9:35 pickup to 331 West 57th Street for 10:20 appointment
11:15 pickup to 2281 Broadway for 12:15 vaccines
1:15 pickup to home
Only, I got a text from Access-a-Ride at 11:00, telling me there would be a ride in 15 minutes; fine, only it never showed. At 11:30 I called AAR and was told the car arrived at 11:20, only I was never notified by text or call that the goddamned car was there, so I missed it. After four frustrating phone calls to AAR, I was told at 12:00 that my new car was one minute away; there was still time to make the 12:15 appointment. I walked outside to wait for it.
No show.
-
So, I stood outside for 10 minutes or so and called AAR again: wjere the fuck is my car? I was yelling at this point and the lady was wonderful; she rescheduled, and I told her I needed the ride to take me home since I had missed my 12:15 appointment. About 12:20 a car finally showed up, only the driver was directed to take me to 2182 Broadway. I told him to take me to 202 West 826. At West 77th Street he was ordered by AAR to pull over to straighten out the 2182 vs 202 mess.
Then I got home to find the elevator was out!
-
Luckily, the crew was working on the elevator and I am now home. I have to reschedule those vaccines. Just an all-round lousy day.

Lordy, Lordy.
I don't think you've had to post a report like that on A-a-R for a while. Seems like you've had such good luck with them lately.
That's like the bad old days.

Flood warnings all around town. We got one minute of rain.

Yep, that's the weather forecasters for you.

Darling Daughter won't be here until 12:30. Wish someone had alerted me so I could have stayed in bed. I also have to get to the mail place and do stuff before shaving and getting ready.

Good news DR LAURA.

I hate that ALL of the teams on the new AMAZING RACE each contain at least ONE member that competed on a season of BIG BROTHER.
After watching ONE episode of the season.....there are only two teams that I really HATE.....one is a mother and daughter that I hope soon fall on their ample azzes.....and one team of two sisters....one of whom has such AMPLE lip injections that it is offensive to watch.
-
There is a difference between being on a show that requires you to DO something rather than just sitting on your azz and conspiring against everyone and pretending you are a real person and NOT just a stupid lazy wannabe.
-
It's pouring rain again.
-
Dozed off for a couple of hours. Storage thing will happen tomorrow.

We've had about an inch and a half. That's an awful lot in just a couple of hours.

I really hope you don't have flooding.

I has shaved.

Will the Pearls be on time?
