Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sleepy, and now it is time for you to post until the sleepy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: QUOTHA!

QUOTHA vs. MOTHRA! in 3-D and Smell-O-Vision!!

BK, which release of Stavisky did you listen to? I have two (were there only two?):

Here are their backsides:

LOL!

I have every release of Stavisky, starting with the French LP. Then RCA did it here, then included it as a bonus on the Follies in Concert CD release. Then the CAM - none of them sounded very good until the Quartet - and while that does sound better, the band is the band and it's not a great band.
-
Good morning, all!

I have the one on the right.
-
I slept rather well until 2:30 or so. After that, I dozed on and off while Anabelle and Thatch tried to get me to cuddle or play. I jad a strange dream involving the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, Ted Chapin, a woman, and a farewell letter from my late friend Bruce Pomahac.
-
This morning, I need to call Dr Winston's office to confirm my lab work has been sent to the lab I will be going to.
-
I talked to Joshie yesterday. He's getting the orchestra parts of the Lincoln Center production of Ragtime ready for a recording.
-
Last night I saw the destruction of the East Wing of the White House to make way for the ugly 90,000 square foot "ballroom" that fat ass Frump is adding. What a pity he hasm't died first.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Coffee!!
-
Might as well start the day with a millstone. Right?
-
Done!
-
Done!
Congratulations, Chas, on your marvelous new HHW posting Millstone!
-
Congrats to DR CHAS SMITH on his new well pump and millstone.
-
Being from Indiana, I have nothing to add to the TOD or the STAVISKY conversation.
-
Over the weekend I watched BLACK WIDOW starring Ginger Rogers, Van Heflin, and Gene Tierney - I had seen it before. And I read the novel in a Reader's Digest volume of novels (remember those?). It's okay. And it has Virginia Leith - who starred in the film version of DR GEORGE's musical production THE HEAD THAT WOULDN'T DIE and featured Skip Homier in a movie that's NOT a western.
And then on UNIVERSAL MONSTERS I watched a 2014 movie NOT SAFE FOR WORK about a paralegal guy in a HUGE law firm...who ends up trapped in the office with a killer. It was actually okay.
-
Nice and sunny this morning although rain is predicted for this afternoon.
-
I saw that picture of the blown up East Wing and it was disturbing and actually made me physically ill.
You know they are going to name it the DJT Ballroom.....sick and twisted.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Insomnia last night. Not fun trying to get to sleep.
-
I think it was some dark chocolate I had late in the afternoon.
-
So, I am dawdling today.
-
But not with Amaryllis.
-
Page turn!
-
Two!

From DR George:
WHEW!! My friend Margo has "small veins" and always asks for someone with a LOT of jabbing experience.
I had that problem when I was young and only let my father or his nurse take my blood. Anyone else would jab me multiple times.
-
At least my arm didn't bother me during the night. It is now when I move certain ways. I don't even notice my right arm where the other guy did it :)
-
I woke up at 3:00 which seems to be my new waking hour. Then I went back to sleep until 4:30 :)
-
George, while it doesn't have to be, I prefer plain water. It is basically all I drink.
-
George, thanks for Keith.
-
From George:
I got some organic grapes a few days ago, and they were huge! I could only fit one at a time in my mouth!
;D

DR JANE I have found when I have to drink a LOT of liquid for one reason or another, it helps to use a straw.
-
I use a straw for the colonoscopy prep. I'm fine sipping water and I don't have to drink it all at once.

For your viewing pleasure (and because there's not much else going on)...

Pay no mind to Ethel Toffelmeir at the piano.

The Google algorithm bought me this discussion of an age old question. This YouTube also deals with the question if why Donald Duck never wore pants but wore swimming trunks when he swam.

I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep - up at eleven. Could have done another hour but things to do.
-
Did you know a footlong Subway sandwich is now $18.00. No wonder these idiots are struggling. AND - they add four dollars to that for delivery service, so when you order that way, you're paying thirty bucks with all the crap they add on. Bye bye Subway. Maybe try learning what the words "fast food" mean? You, too, McDonald's.

DR CHAS SMITH that looks like a nice setup and a nice cast.
-
Wow, Toronto Blue Jays against my Dodgers for the World Series.
-
I'm torn, as DR Rodzinsky said it would be satisfying to see Canada win.
-
I really think the Dodgers are too good to beat.
-
I had some very good news this morning. Two out of three of the test results from the CT are in, and I do not show any damage from my GCA (giant cell arteritis) in my head or neck.
That's a relief.
-
The scan of my chest went to the cardiology department to be read.

I had a footlong cold Italian today for under $10. It was special.

Watching a visually beautiful movie that is so slow I just don’t have the patience for it.
-
And I have more than 1 hour left.

Wait! Someone just walked up a stair. The action begins.

Keith got Wordle in four.

We sort of binged-watched the gays in the military 8-part series BOOTS. The first episode started off impersonal as to how ugly the official behavior towards the Marine recruits was, but by the middle of the first episode, after that background - the show had settled in and become about the people, and we really loved it.
Interesting (and I guess understandable) that Pete Hegseth was bothered enough to have spoken out against this series.
-
Of course he was >:(
-
Time to watch The Tingler, filmed in Percepto! William Castle is narrating the opening.
-
Of course he was >:(
:(
-
I’m sick of politics and the president. I wish he would leave America alone.
-
:'(
-
The Tingler has some fun effects. But it’s a cruel movie.
-
Ended up with a Jersey Mike's Eyetalian - cheaper and better.
-
Just been relaxing and watching a documentary.
-
The Sondheim pages just sold.
-
eBay does take their share, though.
-
Not very sporting.
-
Very warm for October.
-
I don't know if it's just me but are we on page THREE?
-

Love Jersey Mike's!
-
I don't know if it's just me but are we on page THREE?
We could be on page 4 any minute now.
-
Very soon.
-
Almost.
-
A hop, skip and a jump. Or maybe just a hop.
-
Page Four!
-
As BK might say: See?
-
Congratulations, BK, on selling the Sondheim pages.
-
BK, the Kritzerland label and the remaster of PROMISES PROMISES got a nice mention on ATC today.
https://www.talkinbroadway.com/allthatchat_new/d.php?id=2635181
" ... Jerry Orbach is flat a number of times in OCR of "Promises, Promises" -- the cleaned up auto-tuned version put out by kritzerland has him and some of his colleagues sounding so much better. Orbach had a wonderful vocal instrument, but was prone to having some intonation problems."
-
Tonight’s last movie is one I have wanted to see for months: Flow. It’s an animated movie about a cat searching for a new home after its home is destroyed in a flood.
-
Flow is excellent. The central cat is purr-fect.
-
Good night, all..
-
Slow posting day..
-
Glad to hear the news, Jane!
-
Back to elections tomorrow.
-
Gratuitous post 100!
-
And now, adieu.
-
Seattle vs LA would not have been bad, two “war-torn” “leftist” “hellholes.” But if Toronto won it all, it would be sorta delightful. No team to visit the White House!
-
Adieu, adieu, to you and … well, just you.
-
Page FOUR?
-
Gets worse every day.
-
Every day it gets worse.
-
Alarming.
-
Hardly charming.
-
Or disarming.
-
Maybe we should take up farming.
-
It is harming.
-
And yet, here we are, not even halfway through page four.
-
Weird.
-
Just shaved for the first time in six days.
-
I look a little more human now.
-
Aside from Jersey Mike's, for snack I had matzo ball soup and a tiny side of kishka.
-
It is so hard to find good kishka.
-
This kishka was not so hot.
-
In its better days, Nate 'n' Al's had great kishka, maybe the best.
-
Langer's has excellent kishka and maybe I'll get some as an appetizer with an order of latkes.
-
That would be a good meal.
-
Well, page five at least, but come ON.
-
So, today, I finally finished painting my downstairs bathroom. :)
-
Here's a "during" shot:
-
Page five.
-
Ridic.
-
Sick.
-
Must be a trick.
-
Up the crick.
-
Sammy Glick.
-
Like a hick.
-
The blob on the left of the sink is my toilet covered in case I spilled or splattered paint, but I never really spilled or even splattered much...a few drips, but nothing major.
-
Take your pick.
-
Page six - quick.
-
The clock does tick.
-
Where's John Wick.
-
Here's the heat lamp/fan (eventually to be replaced) during:
-
Page five is foolish.
-
And ghoulish.
-
And here's the other side of the ceiling during:
-
Horrid.
-
Not torrid.
-
Irritating.
-
And grating.
-
Enervating.
-
And here's the finished (but still not replaced) heat lamp/fan:
-
A low rating.
-
That's what I'm stating.
-
Patiently waiting.
-
The new wall color is called "Pumpkin Essence." ::)
-
Let's go skating.
-
Finally.
-
But really - page SiX?
-
To me, it looks more peachy or like a light salmon color, but heat do I know? ;)
-
Oh well, it is what it is.
-
It is a nice, subtle color, though.
-
The ceiling is, of course, a bright white.
-
I got one coat painted on the ceiling, so tomorrow (or someday soon), I'll paint a second coat.
-
But the walls are done!
