I would not be able to get through the documentary about the Ponzi scheme guy. Those things frustrate and depress me no end.
I also re-read a book called Rainbow's End. It is the story about The Judy Garland Show and all of the backstabbing and misguided attempts to make the show what it never should have been.
Of course then I had to watch a few of the episodes on the box set I watched many years ago. Interesting to see after reading about the shenanigans that were going on.
So I read about this fillum when it was released but never really sought it out.
I turned on my tv yesterday and checked the grid and there it was.
THE IRON CLAW.
It was nothing like I thought it would be. It is the story of the Von Erich wrestling family. But it was about more than that. A story of survival. Zac Efron was very good as Kevin Von Erich....but everyone was good.
The wrestling scenes were well done - but the family dynamic was difficult to watch. If you think you might be interested, it is highly recommended by the likes of me.
Behind the scenes shenanigans are not new to the 21st century, I guess.

I love the word shenanigans.
Hello DR GINNY!
But we had a lovely and relaxing time. Great food, long walks on the beach, reading. The weather was gorgeous.
Seattle vs LA would not have been bad, two “war-torn” “leftist” “hellholes.” But if Toronto won it all, it would be sorta delightful. No team to visit the White House!
So, today, I finally finished painting my downstairs bathroom. :)
So Monday was Bonnie and Clyde for my wife's movie, and last night was Downfall for my movie.

Wednesday morning greetings! After a couple of days of errands, I’m looking forward to staying home today.
Good news from DR JANE.
My mom's house had unreliable (non-existent) Internet, which is being rectified by switching providers.

The class is Thursday so we can take a break from movies tonight.
This morning, Annabelle & Thatch got its 21st 5-star Amazon review. I hope it's sellng. An author on X set me up with a British PR firm tat works with authors, ut when I told her I was completely penniless, she advisaed me that I should get A&T into the huge book club market and that was the only advice I got.

Darn. That's too bad, Larry.

Downfall, the movie about Hitler? Bruno Ganz is amazing in that.
DR FREDDIE that's a great clip! It's from her special that she did the year before her series went on the air.
She was still a bit overweight and wore a lot of jackets with Mandarin collars to distract from the double chins.
By the time her series started she had lost a LOT of weight and had great clothes by Edith Head and then Ray Agayhan and Bob Mackie.

DOWNFALL is a very interesting movie.
But I will take BEACH BLANKET BINGO any day.
I’m a reading fiend this week because the book for my Friday noon discussion didn’t become available at the library until Monday afternoon. It Fredrick Backman’s My Friends. Has anyone here read it?
LOL DR MICHAEL G - I don't think there were any scenes in BBB that fit the criteria of your class.....except maybe when Bonehead realized his girlfriend was really actually a mermaid.
Today is Annette Funicello's birthday - she would have been 83 years old.
And coincidentally it is Connie Francis night on TCM.....Where The Boys Are followed by Follow the Boys followed by my favorite LOOKING FOR LOVE.
Great news! My last test results came in and, once again, were fantastic.
Good news DR JANE
My movies will be interrupted by THE AMAZING RACE...but still lots to enjoy.
Oh.....strange DR JANE......I would guess there is probably a medical explanation or name for the feeling.

Hooray!
Interesting that Frankie Avalon is 85 and still married to his one and only wife, if I'm reading things right.
FIVE!

FIVE!
That's really nice!
Are they selling Chess as a concert version, charging those kinds of inane prices?
Paula Prentiss and Jim Hutton are just a bonus.
It turns out that the pair of keets love to hear Connie Francis sing.....something to explore.
I didn't realize it was a concert presentation!
false advertising DR FREDDIE...and I live in Indiana.
Good grief, it's not a concert version, it's just more minimal sets than some random dude on the Internet would like. And maybe me, too, but I'll reserve judgment 'til I see it.
Good medical news from DR Jane.
The Minneapolis-St. Paul and Philadelphia airports were almost ghost towns, both going and coming.
If there was a shortage of TSA agents or air traffic controllers, it wasn't apparent, and we experienced no delays.
Wouldn't we get Vance and Speaker Johnson moving up though?
Ginny, I loved My Friends. What do you need to know?

I’m enjoying it and all I need is enough time to finish it by midday Friday.
Did Flow win an Oscar?
Why am I awake so early? Nerves. An ill wind is blowing over Mrs. Rodz’s employment.
Nice bathroom pics DR GEORGE....pumpkin essence indeed.
