And the word of the day is: DOUGHTY!
Today, I must speak to the dreadful homecare folk and see if we can resolve this mess. I also want to cook Italian sausages with onions and pepper, and I need to look over the orchestra scores from my new student Ben for our session tomorrow.
Sad, but true.
OMG, Larry!
Would Medicare be able to get you some home help?

I've been bitching on HHW about how dreadful my homecare situation has been. It's a Medicare/Medicaid company and they are working my last nerve.
And the word of the day is: DOUGHTY!
Umm...BK? My name is spelled DOUGHERTY.
:))
Sort of about the TOD:
Billy Joel said (to Bill Maher in this interview) that he wishes he could write just one song that he feels is as good as "Wichita Lineman"

DR Laura, thanks for the Randy Rainbow. This past weekend I was thiking it was time for a new video . . . and, voila!
spoke to the Homecare lady and told her to call me on Thursday.
Webb performed at the theater where I usher. I got to meet him afterward. Very nice man.
Sally Kirkland has died. Tead just yesterday she had been placed on hospice and had dementia.
Broken record that I am, I can’t resist mentioning that Jim Webb yelled at me on the phone once. But I believe he thought I was someone else, so I didn’t take it personally.

Nice photos yesterday from DR JANE.
I am going to lunch with a friend today in celebration of his birthday.
DR Singdaw I'm glad your dinner party went spectacularly even though the water was turned off.

Apparently bronze-cut pasta (extruded through bronze die-cut plates) is superior because the pasta has a micro ragged edge that sauce clings to better.

The ballet meeting went well. Doug and I have to deliver our full score and orchestra parts to North Carolina by Dec. 1, 2026. My initial request was for 14 players: string quintet (5), woodwind quartet (4), trumpet, trombone, horn (3), harp, and percussion.
If the ballet performances - ours is one item on the program - are tied in with the school's orchestra concert, then we could increase the number of strings from five to 21 (6 Violin 1, 4 Violin 2, 4 Viola, 4 Celli, 3 Basses), giving us a total of 30 musicians.

Speaking of homecare, I was in the kitchen cleaning up the cats' breakfast dishes when my right knee gave out and I suddenly fell to my right. I ended up lying on top of a collapsing rolling cart holding the coffee supplies and wedged between the sink and the door that closes off my pullman kitchen. To My right arm was useless since it was wedged in the sink. While all this was going on, I was trying to find either some way to either stop the slide down or to clear space so I would not be injured if I fell into the small space between my walker and my cane that was hanging off the stove. I succeeded and landed on my knees on the floor. I then had to crawl to the living area where I could raise myself back up to a standing position. Then, I very shakily changed clothes since I was soaking wet.
Some days I really hate my existence.

I'll take "Lies and Bullshit from Nazi Sluts" for two cents, Alex.

I should have mentioned last night that I took the second photo off of the internet, vs FB.
Every time I write about a jernt, this is what happens.

I dod realize that as I was uploading the pics, but I figured that I might as well do both anyway.

Sad to read that the Farmer's Almanac is ceasing publication after 208 years.
The Old Farmer's Almanac, however, will continue. That is based in New Hampshire.

I didn't realize there was a difference.
We are currently half way through the excellent four part series Death by Lightening.

I just had to schedule four WEEKS of an IV drip for this new thing my neurologist wants me to try. I did but what a pain in the ASS it is. Supposed to start next week, however, after reading the possible side effects, I'm gonna have to have a conversation with the doctor and maybe not start this until after The Altruist opens.

Glad you can postpone your treatments, BK.Ditto!
The local Burger Boy chain specializes in milkshakes. They have the usual choc-van-straw, but they don’t stop there. Big Red, Dreamsicle, Fruity Pebbles, etc. noticed today they had a Texas Sheet Cake shake, which beat out Biscoff Butter shake.
Got some routine medical appointments scheduled. For mid-January.

CHESS on Broadway earned over $2-million last week.

Lee Marvin enters this movie singing. I guess he hadn’t learned his lesson.
I was in a restaurant bathroom tonight and noticed something. It’s probably not wise to paint your restroom walls fecal brown.
