Well, you've read the notes, the notes were belated, and now it is time for you to post until the belated cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GOLD!

Topic of the Day: the just released brand new CD from Janis Siegel (formerly of The Manhattan Transfer) and San Gabriel 7 called "Optimistic." I ordered it back in August and it's finally here:
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
A decent night of sleep, but would have loved a few more hours.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well, although I did spend too much time worrying about the cats' being warm. It was really, really, really (as Thatch says) cold, so I guess this morning I will finally turn on the heat.
-
My new power cable has arrived, so hopefully Jen will come down and see if it works. Pray for Rosemary's baby, folks!
-
Yesterday I spent some time revising the ballet prelude. I need to write a new ending this morning.
-
DR Ginny, I'm happy you and Richard (and our DR George) enjoyed Merrily We Roll Along. I won't be watching it till it ends up on Amazon Prime or Netflix.
-
Last night I dreamed that Joshie and I were cleaning up the dreadful rental materials for Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.
-
Larry, you're just 12 posts from a very delightful HHW posting Millstone!

I made the mistake of lying down while watching Forever, Darling ... so you can guess what happened. I missed at least the last 20 minutes. I know I saw it many years ago, but I hardly recognized it. However, I was really into it for a while, enjoying some Lucy and Desi, and I was especially struck by the color and set designs. It's visually quite beautiful, with every shot extraordinarily interesting and balanced in the eye candy department. But what a strange film. Or strange script, I guess.

DR MichaelG, I'm sorry to hear the film class has come to an end.
-
I'm amazed to hear about the rare burgers at McDonald's all those years ago.
When L.A. friends and I were really into our quarter pounders back in the 1980s, we always thrilled to getting one that wasn't completely well done. There were a couple of locations where, once in a while if they weren't too busy, the manager would make sure we got a good "medium", and they were more delicious than ever.
And I'm sorry to hear about the Canadian practice. Yikes! :)
-
I'm also sorry to hear from both DR Ginny and DR George that the Merrily film, as good as I'm sure it is, is lacking in GEOGRAPHY. I absolutely look forward to seeing it. But based on what you're saying, what a sorry mis-step. What is wrong with these people who forget they're filming STAGING as well as characters?

Well, it's Friday. And I have not a thing to report for the TOD.
It's back to the show tonight, for week 3 out of 5.
-
Well, since the YouTube algorithm has been sending me "twinsauce" dancing duets for a while now, it's a step forward that the algorithm sent this, a dancing duo that's a little less "age-inappropriate" (and festively attired, to boot) :)

Last night I dreamed that Joshie and I were cleaning up the dreadful rental materials for Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.
Whoa. What a subject for a dream!
My first theeder involvement in this area, in 1992, was as rehearsal pianist for a community production, and I ended up playing their opening weekend because of some delay or other with the person who was supposed to do it. (I believe I got reviewed favorably, under the other person's name, because no mention was made of the substitution.) :) Anyway, it was a small production that I'm sure had very little to recommend it, in addition to the fact that it was only piano. But I look at the copy of the score I made, and am stunned to think that I played all those rehearsals, and that one weekend, with that. (I haven't looked at it in a while -- there were no vocal parts on the piano/instrumental score, right? I had to use the vocal book to pound the notes? I need to take it out and get to know it again.)

The vocal parts are in the vocal book.
