Well, you've read the notes, the notes were loaded with cockles and heart, and now it is time for you to post until the cockles of the cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FRUITION!
-
To finish my story from last night:
Fortunately, I have several pairs of older glasses, but I'm going to see The Lion King in Seattle tomorrow tonight with my friend David! He got $50 tickets through their lottery! The normal price for where we're sitting is $110!
-
That's a great in the notes, BK!
-
So today, I have a dental appointment at 11:30, then I'm probably going to go home for a bit, then head up to Seattle to see The Lion King at the Paramount Theatre! I've never seen it live, and our tickets are on the orchestra level! I can't wait!
-
Topic of the Day:
I first got onto MySpace (remember that??) because I was doing a show (I forget which) with TAO and they wanted a way to communicate with everyone, so we all joined and became part of the TAO private group. MySpace started going downhill and Facebook was becoming popular, so TAO created a private group there and I've been on FB ever since.
-
So sorry about your glasses, DR George.
-
~~~VIBES~~~ that they are found and returned to you!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Thanks for your repor on Merrily, DR John G.!!!
That's great news about you and David having tickets through the lottery!
-
John G, thanks for posting your thoughts on MERRILY. Most enjoyable reading in the posts last night!
-
Rodzinski, sending more vibes for your shoulder problems to go away soon!
-
It was great seeing Iris drop in last night!
-
George, sending vibes that your glasses are found!
-
GGood morning, all!
-
I slept rather well. Around 515 Annabelle crawled under the blankets, cuddled up next to me, and then had a sneezng fit, blowing kitty snot all over the sheets and me. Thatch, who was lying half on my head and half on my pillow outside the blankets, found it most amusing.
-
Damn! My semi-colon key works but the shift to colon is not working. Does this mean a new keyboard I cannot afford at the moment?
-
DR Jeanne, I've wondered where you were - in DR vixmom limbo? off to see the Wizard?
I'm sorry that you've been in real estate hell. Annabelle, Thatch, Stella, and I send big hugs to you!
-
DR Iris, it was wonderful to see your appearance last night. You are missed.
-
DR John G, I've always thought the major problem with Merrily We Roll Along was that Franklin Shepard wasn't shallow enough. I've also wondered if Charlie wasn't Oscar Hammerstein and Frank Richard Rodgers.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Great gift gif in the notes today!
-
DR Jeanne, oh my, what have they done to you?? :D
Seriously, how can a company behave so horribly? What do they get out of that? I'm glad there's at least one person there still willing to act a little bit human.
-
And then having to wait for an errant and truant painter on top of it. Oy!
-
But ... so good to see the likes of DRs Jeanne, Iris, and Vixmom.
We hope you are all doing well and will sit down and stay a while next time.
-
We decorated our tree last night, and I think we'll be completing whatever other decorations we're going to do around the house today so we can put the Christmas bins away till after the New Year.
Last year was crazy and we didn't do as much as we normally do, so we're back to making up for that this year. It'll be good to have it done by tonight so we can settle in and enjoy.
-
I also enjoyed the gif in today's notes!
-
I'm not sure when I actually joined Facebook. I know I did it once initially, and hardly used it. It just wasn't time for me to take it seriously. Then a year or two later it made sense, and if I recall correctly, I had abandoned and cancelled that first account so I had to rejoin under a new account, which is still the current one. I think I've had it close to ten years now, which seems a very long time. As for how it used to be, I don't really remember much difference. The new crap like the insane population of bots, and now of course the AI shit, those things are obvious. But for me, it's been the same basic thing in the time I've been on.
But ... so good to see the likes of DRs Jeanne, Iris, and Vixmom.
~~~PAIN BEGONE VIBES~~~ for DR Rodzinski!!!
-
Yes, pain relief vibes for DR Rodzinski!
Have they put a name to this thing with the shoulder?
The one time I was in front of my "primary" when I was going through that, and he was able to see the limited range I had even without moving my arm to where there would be pain, he - incredibly - did not have a name for it. I just remember him saying, "wow, you're really locked up there!" He gave me a referral to an orthopedist, but it was soon thereafter that I could see the problem reversing itself, and there was no need for it. The shoulder returned completely to normal on its own.
-
Work vibe for DR singdaw - including the new job waiting tables.
-
It was wonderful to see DR VIXMOM, DR IRIS, and DR JEANNE yesterday!!!
-
I hope DR GEORGE can get his glasses back today. Hakuna matata.
-
Glad to hear that MR BK's natal day celebrations came off.
Nice GIF!

Good morning.

I started on Facebook in the early 20-teens.
It was nice to find folks and have quick communication with friends and family members.
During one show I directed, I decided to start a dedicated FB page for only those folks participating in the show. It was great to have instant communication with folks. I started posting notes there instead of keeping the cast for 15 minutes or so after rehearsal.
I also started added videos of choreography and a pdf of what I called Quick Sheets that had the choreography written down - it was a great resource.
Now I look at it in the morning and post something now and then.....but the algorithms are completely out of whack. All it is now is a way for advertisers and scammers to contact you....not needed.
Another useful internet tool completely ruined by selfish corrupt companies and individuals.
Eventually I will abandon it.

I was assigned salad for 100 people for the funeral this weekend.
-
I started Facebook when this site was down and several of us joined to keep in touch.

Thank you! This is one of his best.
-
I'm up, I'm up - sort of five hours of sleep.
-
This site, at its worst, has never been down for more than twenty-two hours.
-
I joined MySpace in 2006, I think, and Facebook in 2007, I think. By that time, Facebook had completely obliterated My Space.
-
After seeing the photo of the gingerbread house and the cats, I am very grateful that our cats never bothered the gingerbread house we made.
-
DR Rodzinski, I'm not surprised PT was ordered. Did you get a diagnosis?
-
DR Iris it warmed my heart to see you here. Thank you for the birthday wishes.
-
~~~VIBES~~~ that they are found and returned to you!
DITTO!
-
DR George I hope you can see well enough tonight to enjoy the show.
On September 3, 2008 DR Ginny sent me the following message:
"Hi, Jane - Welcome to FB!"
-
I believe it was DR Ginny who sent me a request to join Facebook.
-
Tuesday afternoon greetings! Today’s hall-decking task, setting up the angel collection, is complete. We’re ready for the tree, which we’ll get to by the end of the week.
On September 3, 2008 DR Ginny sent me the following message:
"Hi, Jane - Welcome to FB!"
That tracks, DR Jane. We were encouraged by my library employer to join the emerging social media platforms so we could help our patrons with them. I remember bonding with Facebook during my foot surgery recovery in the summer of 2008.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
Today is the longest day in recorded history.
-
I love the eight kids I am interacting with. But, boy, are they running me ragged.
-
Three!
-
Only 2 hours to go.
-
So wonderful to see both Iris and Jeanne posting.
-
Still trying to figure out how that dance troupe YouTube keeps bringing me videos of makes their living off these videos. But finally, here's a pretty classy video of them
Back from Hugo's for breakfast, then CVS for pens, then Macy's to look around. Big sales on clothing.
Very, and all because it was your birthday.
-
A good day so far.
I survived. There were four, sometimes five people supervising eight kids.
I survived. There were four, sometimes five people supervising eight kids.
Good ratio for the teachers.
-
That sounds about right.
-
Salad for 100?
-
I survived. There were four, sometimes five people supervising eight kids.
That seems like a lot of people for only eight kids making them seem like a challenge. At least you weren't alone.
-
I have a home health visit in the morning at 8 a.m.
-
Salad for 100?
Would you use Hundred Island dressing instead of Thousand Island dressing?
-
DR George, don't forget to do Wordle today ;)
-
Keith got Wordle in four.
When he got to line three he had two choices, and chose the wrong word ;D
-
Thanks for the Merrily film report, DR John G! I hope I can see it in the theater before it disappears, but we're traveling a lot this month so we'll see.
Chess has been setting house records for revenue at the Imperial Theatre. Good for them, they deserve it!
Cedar pollen has started coming in, and I usually get a fever before the decongestant kicks in.
Good night, Singdaw.
Started the independent film, George Washington. I don’t think I’ve seen it before. But I love the first 20 minutes.
-
Page turn!
-
Five!
-
Five???
-
FIVE???
-
What the HELL is going on?
-
Kritzerland stumble-through was good.
-
Play rehearsal not so much. Everyone was to be off book - some were for act one but it was constant "line" "line" "line" and act two no one was off book. Very bad. I was nice about it but very stern.
-
All the musical numbers but one are really together. The one that wasn't is a constant problem in that the duo who do it forget everything every time we have a day or two off. I was stern about that, too.
-
Just ordered a sandwich so I can take pill three.
-
And I really haven't eaten since nine this morning.
-
But FIVE???
-
Let's get it together.
